Duplicated objects  makes error in stream apply

Hi Experts,
We have a oracle10G R4 stream in 32 bit window.
I got lots of message as ora1732 not leagl operation on view.
After checking, I found there are duplicated object name for table /materialized view and some inclouse view.
I got news in case of a Materialized Views, the base table name and materialized view can have same object name
in the same schema.
Do you encounter this issue? When I set a neg rule for object name to avoid view for capture. it also lost capture for table with same object name.
How do we fix this issue?
Thanks
JIM

Is oracle10G R4 available in market. ;-)

  • Streams apply having 60k no data found error

    We have implemented streams recently. The configuration and streaming is happening fine. The only problem I am having is "NO DATA FOUND" error in apply.
    It's uni-directional streaming
    We are not really updating/deleting/inserting any row on the destination database. (both oracle).
    Why am I seeing 60k Conflicts?
    Is there any configuration am I missing?
    How can I fix the no data found issue and make my stream 100 percent perfect real time.
    Thanks in advance
    Palani

    Print the transaction/LCR using print_transaction/print_lcr. Compare the old values from the LCR to values in destination database table. There must be one or more column values differ. Trace back to the root operation which is causing the value difference and fix it.
    Otherwise you can configure the streams apply process not to compare the old values except keys by using DBMS_APPLY_ADM.COMPARE_OLD_VALUES.

  • Blu-ray Object: "Sept-Nov_2008", Error: "invalid format", Code: "14", Note: "ERROR: This stream does

    I am trying to transcode a self contained FCP quicktime movie file and I get the message - Blu-ray Object: "Sept-Nov_2008", Error: "invalid format", Code: "14",
    Note: "ERROR: This stream doesn't include Picture timing SEI, Unit Offset = 785835706". I am going to use quicktime pro 7 to import  a quicktime movie instead of FCP self contained file into encore. But if anybody has any suggestions, please let me know. I have read about wrong field orders but I am using a custom preset with the field order set to upper (odd) - since I am using a Apple ProRes 422 (proxy) for the FCP sequence.

    Disclaimer: You should not follow any of these instructions. They will cause you harm in every conceivable way. Don’t continue I say again … go read a book, see a movie, hit the gym, spend time with family and friends but by all means don’t read any further and certainly don’t follow any of these instructions.
    Windows 7
    Are you getting these errors?
     “an error occurred while applying security information to: “filename”
    “access is denied”
    “you currently don’t have access to this folder”
    File Folder Lock On Lock Off Icon
    Note: you may want to create a “test folder” and test these instructions so you can get familiar with them. Also if you have lots of folders, subfolders and files your computer may take awhile to make all the changes. Just sit back and relax while it crunches away ;-)
    If you are going to want access to all your folders and files start with the topmost folder as we will be making a selection that will apply the setting to all subfolders and files. Ill point this out when we get to it later. You may only want to do this to files that you use directly and not mess with system files etc. These instructions can help you with files already on your system or files that you are bringing in from an external drive or other source.
    Here we go!
    First we will be taking “ownership” of your files and folders (instructions 1-18) then we will be granting you the proper “permissions” (instructions 19-) ; these are two key principles you need to be aware of to properly manage your files. The good new is that once you make these changes they will persist and then you will be your local file guru!
    Instructions:
    TAKING OWNERSHIP (1-18):
    1) Turn on your computer and log into windows with administrator privileges. If you are the only user of your computer then chances are the normal account you log in with has these privileges. If someone else set your computer up for you they may have the administrator privileges and you should check with them.
    2) Right click on your top most folder and select properties.
    3) Select the security tab at the top.
    4) Don’t answer any questions that pop up just click the “advanced button” on the bottom right.
    5) Click the owner tab.
    6) Now click edit.
    7) Then click on “you”, that is, the account that you just logged into your computer with, also known as your “username”.
    8) Check the box “replace owner on subcontainers and objects”. I promised to point this out earlier. If you don’t check this box then any changes you make WON’T apply to the subfolders and files.
    9) Click apply.
    10) A dialog box should pop up with a message “You do not have…”
    11) you should select “yes”
    12) Another dialog box should pop up with a message “If you have just taken ownership …”
    13) Select “OK”
    14) Click “OK” again to close the “advanced security settings” screen were making changes to.
    15) The next box should now show you as the current owner
    16) Click “OK”
    17) Click “OK” again to close the properties tab
    18) We are now back at your folder listing. Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of your files! Take good care of them 
    SETTING PERMISSIONS
    19) OK, now let’s get started setting your permissions. Right click your topmost folder again and select properties.
    20) Select the security tab at the top.
    21) OPTIONAL: You will likely see a list of “group or user names” that have various permissions. You don’t need to make any changes to these. If you want to remove some then click edit, highlight a “group or user” and hit remove.
    22) If you are not already listed we need to add “you” to the list, again by “you” I mean the name of the account  that you logged into your computer with to start this session when you logged into windows, in other words your “username”. Click “add” then type JUST your username that comes up when you first log in to your computer by entering your username and password. You shouldn’t’ include any pathnames JUST the username.
    23) Click on “check names”; windows should find you.
    24) Click “OK”.
    25) Now you should be back at the “Permission/security” box
    26) Check the “full control” box under “allow”. Scroll down and you will see you can do everything now. Hey, stop obsessing …the “special permissions” tab is OK unchecked…  It is there if you were to want to fine tune. You took full control already what else do you want  You are behind the driver’s wheel my friend, enjoy!
    27) Select “apply”.
    28) Select “OK”
    29) Select “OK”
    30) OPTIONAL (THE little LOCK): did a “lock” appear. It might have if you removed all other “group or user names” back in step 21. The lock just means that YOU alone have access to these files. It is not bad in fact it is an easy way to see that the folder is unshared in every way. If you want to experiment with the “lock” try this: Right click the folder again but this time DON’T select properties instead a little higher up on the list select “share with”: see the lock by “nobody”. You aren’t sharing with anybody and so there is a lock to signify that. To experiment you can click “specific people” type “guest” click “add” then click to highlight the new “guest row” leave the “read” box checked and click “share”. You are now sharing those folders or files with “YOU” and anyone that logs onto your machine as a “Guest” and the lock has disappeared. To bring the lock back: right click the folder, click “share”, click “nobody”. LOCK ON / LOCK OFF …hey your Kung Fu is pretty good! For further experimenting with the lock try this but first a security warning: (SECURITY WARNING: changing these sharing settings may share your files with anyone going through your router/homegroup. This may compromise your security. Always protect access to your wireless router by using passwords to get onto the wireless network and also setting router passwords to prevent access to the router itself). If you set up a “homegroup” on your network and select this choice the “lock” will disappear and your files can now be shared with anyone logged into your network.
    • There could be multiple reasons for “access denied errors”. A nasty one is that the file/pathname is too long (>260 characters in Windows 7). You should start to shorten the root folder names as much as possible and bring down the longest path name to well under 260 characters (also including into that calculation the path where you will be copying the files).
    Enjoy!

  • Dml_handler error in streams

    We have installed Oracle 9.2.0.1 and have successfully applied
    Patch 2 (with catpatch.sql) and the version is now 9.2.0.2.1 as recommended for
    streams. We are able to test schema level , table level as well as
    row subsetting rules (dml condition) for our regions table.
    Table : regions
    region_id     number,
    region_name     varchar2(40),
    time          timestamp,
    We are facing problem while using dml_handler as follows.
    We have created a handler procedure as ....
    create or replace procedure insert_reg(in_any in SYS.ANYDATA)
    is
    lcr SYS.LCR$_ROW_RECORD;
    rc PLS_INTEGER;
    begin
    rc:=in_any.getObject(lcr);
    lcr.execute(true);
    end;
    We are giving it as a handler to regions table insert operations as ....
    BEGIN
    DBMS_APPLY_ADM.SET_DML_HANDLER(
    object_name => 'jessy.regions',
    object_type => 'TABLE',
    operation_name => 'INSERT',
    error_handler => false,
    user_procedure => 'strmadmin.insert_reg',
    apply_database_link => NULL);
    END;
    On Inserting a row in the table at source site ....
    In thw apply error log at the destination site we see the error
    'ORA-6550 : line , column'
    There is no other description or any other thing through which we can look into it.
    ANY CLUE ????

    Make sure that the apply user has explicit EXECUTE PROCEDURE privilege on the insert_reg procedure.

  • Compiling COBOLs in PSOVM - psrun.mak error - "cob64: can not execute Id".

    Hi All,
    After installing PeopleSoft OVM in our server, I need to recompile the COBOL. I believe this is not included in the OVM. These are the steps I did.
    1. Installed Microfocus Server Express 5.0 WrapPack 4
    2. Follow the steps in Compiling Cobol in Unix mentioned is the PeopleTools_8.50_Installation_Oracle guide.
    I was able to successfully compille the COBOL files by running ./pscbl.mak. The next step is Linking COBOL Components on UNIX by running ./psrun.mak and here I got the error:
    +./psrun.mak - linking PSRUN for oel-5-x86_64, Version 2.6.18-92.0.0.0.1.el5xen ...+

    +[root@pshcm91ab setup]#+
    I followed all the steps in setting environment variable mention in the "Compiling Cobols in Unix" in PeopleTools_8.50_Installation_Oracle.
    Is there any specific documentation of compiling COBOLs in PeopleSoft OVM?
    Can anyone help me with this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Ok, I reproduce your case :
    [psadm1@psovmab setup]$ ./psrun.mak
    ./psrun.mak - linking PSRUN for oel-5-x86_64, Version 2.6.18-92.0.0.0.1.el5xen ...

    [psadm1@psovmab setup]$ more /opt/oracle/psft/appbatch/tools/setup/psrun.err

    [psadm1@psovmab setup]$It looks like a lot of rpm packages required by ld are missing on Peoplesoft OVM App/Batch server compared to the Peoplesoft OVM database server for instance.
    I added a lot of packages because of the dependendcies as below :

  • Run-time error '1004' Application-Defined or object-defined error

    Hello friends,
    My requirement is to make the cells under Columns Actual, forecast and target (Dimesnion Category) Locked.
    I've used various methods like GetOnlyRange but it didnt work.
    Now, i've selected all the cells of the sheet, where user can input and made them unlocked. ( from Right-click>FormatCells>Protection tab-->Locked checkbox unchecked)
    Then, go to "review" tab, click "Allow Users to edit Ranges",-> Protect Sheet---> ticked "Unlocked Cells"
    Then go to WorkBook Options and set a password for the worksheet.
    But on expand, I'm facing Run-time error '1004' Application-Defined or object-defined error.
    Please help.
    Please help.

    Hi,
    I think that  is VBA Runtime error, you can fix these errors by downloading in various sites.
    http://www.articlesbase.com/data-recovery-articles/vba-runtime-error-1004-application-defined-or-object-defined-error-fix-these-errors--1339060.html
    You can try with the above link.  I hope this could solve your problem.

  • Runtime Error 1101. Application-defined or object-defined error

    I am updating VBA code from MS project 2003 plans  to 2013, and have come up with the following error message.
    Run-time error 1101: Application-defined or object-defined error.
    Any help to remedy the situation would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    jfrh,
    Normally you shouldn't have to make any changes to VBA written under Project 2003 in order for it to work with later versions however sometimes certain statements may need some "tweaking".
    The general description of the run-time error doesn't help us much unless we know a little bit more about your macro. We don't necessarily need to see the whole macro but we do need some context as a starting point. What is the macro supposed to do generally?
    Which line of code is highlighted when the error occurs?
    John

  • Application-defined or Object-defined error

    Hello,
    When I open Input schedule through open dynamic templates I get the following error message
    Application-defined or Object-defined error
    Version : BPC 7.0
    SP05
    Request your guidance.
    Thanks,
    Ramsiva

    I have experienced much the same problem which I have documented in details here:
    Excel Spreadsheet being opened in preview mode by some machines
    (Note that I am only surmising the preview mode is the problem as I get the exact same error if I open it on the Development machine in preview mode).
    My only workaround at the moment is to open the spreadsheet on the target machine and then replace the vba code and save the file locally (Copy Paste), or apply a digital certificate to the existing VBA code, although the latter only seems to work sometimes.
    If I fix the problem on the target machine and then copy, open and close the file on the development machine when the file is sent back to the target machine the problem occurs again.
    I have ruled out emailing being the problem as I have copied the file instead of emailing.
    The development machine had a number of Office applications and Windows 7 updates applied around the time that the problem occurred, i.e. one day everything is fine, the next day it is impossible to run a new spreadsheet on certain machines.
    The highlighted error is also with a .select statement but I isolated the code and put it into a test spreadsheet and that ran okay so it seems to be a more subtle problem.
    It doesn't happen on all the machines and I can't see any pattern as to what machines it works on and those it doesn't. They are mostly Windows 7 64bit running Office 2010 and 2013, seems to be about 50/50 split as to working and not working.
    I've ensured that the Windows Updates are up to date on all the problem machines.
    I think it is the same problem and it helps knowing that someone else has experienced the same thing in order that I don't think I'm going crazy but it's a major problem for me and none of the suggestions so far seem to be close to explaining what is going
    on.
    If anyone wants samples in order to investigate the problem I am more than happy to send them the spreadsheets.

  • Adding itemCreationPolicy="immediate" on mx:Panel causes null object reference error in Flex 4.x

    The itemCreationPolicy works fine with spark components and other mx component until we hit by mx panel.
    Looks like an error is thrown from StyleProtoChain.
    The interesting thing is the null object reference error both occurs in Flex 4.0 and Flex 4.1, but caused by different objects.
    Is there a workaround to use itemCreationPolicy on mx panel?
    Thank you.

    Yes, there are all kinds of problems when you remove something from the screen that had focus (for instance, at that point you can't capture keyboard events either).
    My code is sprinkled with so many things to make sure something is in focus, I tend to forget that I've done it.
    In your code that changes the currentState, add
    this.setFocus()

  • Object expected error in IE

    Hi
    2 issues:
    First is:
    Line 80
    Object expected error in IE
    URL: www.5minuteretreats.com
    I don't know if its the MMpreload images or the PLHFO menu it
    is referring to.
    Second is:
    Also getting "line 271 column 16: end tag for element "A"
    which is not open."
    p="</a>";
    I am unsure of the <a> tag. It appears to be part of
    the Random Image script (kaosweaver - DW extension). Not sure what
    would happen if I delete it.
    Any assitance would be great.

    8) - what makes you think I *didn't* have to look it up?
    I thought about using "flotsam", but decided not to....
