DVD from multiple flash files shows "loading" across 8/600 swf files

I got tossed into the middle of editing a training dvd that is composed of several swf files. I've made minor edits to content (spelling, grammer, etc), when I re-burn the dvd there are 8 files that display "loading" in blue upon opening (all files do this throughout the dvd) but with these particular files it never goes away. It remains on the screen and visible underneath or behind the text. Nearly 2 months ago, a round of edits was necessary and these same 8 files behaved normally. Three of the eight files were not edited in either round, were fine on the last burn, and are now displaying the "loading" constantly. Would anyone have any suggestions to fix this?

The DVD is throwing a bit of a twist into it. I'm assuming you mean data DVD first off and this is all executable projector based content?
The best thing you can do to start is play the content in the Flash IDE so the debugger has a chance to show you any errors. Load the project and then run the debugger (CTRL/CMD + SHIFT + ENTER) and let us know if you see any errors show up. Chances are you're hitting a snag and it's no longer running code properly.

How to create a swatch library from multiple png files?

I am having a difficult time trying to create a new swatch libray of patterns from multiple png files. The way I am doing this is very slow and repetitive and seems silly for a tool as advanced as the latest CC suite including illustrator.
What it seems I must do is open all the png files in Illustrator, creating multiple workspaces, drag one png file into the swatch window, then save that window as a library, close the existing window to reveal the next png file, open the user library I just created, drag the next image into the currently active swatch window, then drag the previous swatch/s from the user library into the current active swatch window, resave and replace the user defined swatch library (now with two images in there)fromthe updated current active swatch panel/window, close the existing workspace to reveal the next image file, and then repeat the process again, slowly building the user defined swatch library up by adding one image at a time and then adding back into the Swatch panel the previously built up library of swatches again one at at time. (you can select all from the existing user defined library and drag over into swatch panel, but this creates at least one duplicate on each cycle for as soon as you click on the first swatch in the library, it adds itto the current swatch panel and then when you select all swatches to drag across it includes the first swatch and copies it again)
This is a very slow process to build up a swatch library. For some reason you cannot drag swatches directly into the user defined library you have created, only into the active swatch window for each workspace. I searched the web and forums for answers but could find none. There must be an easier way, just can't find it.
Ideally, the best option would be a swatch window option that allows the import directly from a list of selected files in the finder.
Any ideas out there?

Thank you for responding, however I am not exactly clear on what you mean by "libraries are plain AI files". For example, I cannot find a file with the same name as my user defined library name that I have created. I can find the preinstalled swatches listed under Adobe Application Support... Library... Swatches, but a user defined folder is not present and the library sets that I have already created are not visible. I have tried searcing my Mac for a (name).ase file and still no luck (at least for the name I was looking for). I can open the user defined library from the Swatch library icon on the bottom left of the Swatch panel, but when I open this I cannot drag and drop add new swatches directly to this library. As stated above, I have to add each pattern, one at at time to the normal swatch panel, then add back the previous ones I have saved from the user defined library to the swatch panel and then save threm all as an updated user defined library. Thus by repeating this process, it builds up the user defined library one at a time.
I am using Illustrator CC if this makes a difference.

You can automate Acrobat using IAC (InterApplication Communications), as documented in the Acrobat SDK. Your program could loop through a collection of PDFs, load them in Acrobat, extract the form data from each, and generate a CSV file that contains the data.
Acrobat can also do this with its "Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet" function, but this is a manual process.

Error in importing data from multiple ASCii files, Concatenate

I am trying to use the "Importing Data From Multiple ASCII FIles.VBS" and the "Concatenate Groups.VBS" scripts downloaded from here, http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/3870. When I run the importing data script and test it by highlighting the example data that comes with the download I get an error. "Error in <Importing Data From Multiple ASCII Files.VBS> (Line:60, Column: 11): Variabls is undefined: 'AscIIAssocSet' "
The offending line of code is " Call AsciiAssocSet(FilePaths(i), StpFilePath) ' assign STP file "
Screenshots of the error are attached.
Can anyone tell me what this error is? Am I just doing something wrong? Getting quite frustrated.

Please have a look at the DIAdem Example to concanate channels. Its delivered with DIAdem.
Examples > Creating Scripts > Scripts > Appending Channels to Each Other
Please use a dataplugin (File -> Text DataPlugin Wizard...) or the csv plugin to load your data.

I have a client application which will prepare number of source files and some meta data information (in .XML) which will be used in header/footer. Is it possible to put a run time generated DDX file in the watch folder and use it in Process. If possible how can I pass the file names in the DDX. Any sample Process will be very helpful.

If possible, make use of Assembler API in your client application instead of doing this using watched folder. Here are the Assembler samples : LiveCycle ES2.5 * Programming with LiveCycle ES2.5
Watched folder can accept zip files (sample : Configuring a watched folder to handle multiple input files and write results to a single folder | Adobe LiveCycle Blog ). Thanks CtDave, for the further info. Unfortunately, those suggestions are not working, which is strange.
....Until last week, I used to make multi-page PDFs straight from Photoshop: File > Automate > Make PDF. One simply choses the files, orders them, and creates a PDF. (Resolution doesn't matter; 300 DPI is no problem.) However, my new Photoshop CS5 does not have the option in Automate.
What I've done, seeing as Acrobat is letting me down, is use Bridge (new to me) to create the PDF. It worked without a problem, but seems like more work than the old PS method. I will download a newer version of Acrobat to see if that makes any difference.
.....Also, thanks Test Screen Name: I agree with you that jpeg is irrelevant, and that one can make a PDF from Photoshop (Print > Save As - pdf). But that only works for SINGLE PAGE pdf, not multiple pages as far as I can tell.

Creating an installation DVD from CS4 download files

Greetings! Has anyone managed to create a functional installation DVD(s) from the downloaded files of CS4 Design Premium. After extracting the files, which folders have to go on which DVD? I have both WIN and MAC and would like to install these from DVD.

The only way to have a DVD installable version of any of the suites is to go through Adobe Support and get the DVDs through them." As stated by me, this is simply not true. Read below. Yes, storing them on a DVD at least frees up the HDD space. But they are of no use unless copied back to the HDD each time one wishes to alter the installation etc. So I don't consider this a solution to the question Brad raised. Brad... et all... Here is the answer. These instructions are for the master suite. 1) In your DVD-DL burner software set up a new project. 2) Call the disc ADBEMST4 3) Using the free 7-Zip program (google for it) extract the contents of the ADBESTAMCS4_LS1.7z file you have downloaded. 4) You need to edit the setup.xml file which is in the \Adobe CS4\Payloads folder Make it like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Setup version="2.0.138.0"> <Driver folder="AdobeMasterCollection4-mul-trial"/> <Media> <Volume> <Name>ADBEMST4</Name> <Payloads> <Payload folder="Acrobatcom-fr_FR"></Payload> ... snip (see note) .... <Payload folder="AdobeMasterCollection4-mul-trial"></Payload> </Payloads> </Volume> </Media> </Setup> NOTE: I have removed all but one of the payload lines because there are too many to post here. You are simply removing the "Adobe CS4" text. In the root of the disc you are creating, place all the files and folders in the \Adobe CS4 folder you ended up with after the extraction. Don't copy the \Adobe CS4 folder itself, just everything in it. So you'll end up with something looking like this: http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/8144/step5rh4.png (image not from me, just one I found whilst researching this) If you want the extra files to be included (as found in STAMCS4_Cont_LS1.exe) then extract these with 7-Zip also. Copy the resulting files to your disc project. If you don't need the additional languages, then don't add them to the project. You may already be going over the limit for DVD-DL... so check on that. 5) In your project put the new/edited setup.xml into the \Payloads folder. Remove the setup.xml already dragged into the project first, or overwrite it when you drag in the new one. 6) Burn 7) Install 8) Enjoy If you have any questions let me know. I am struggling for a while now with the following workflow:
batch exporting all text (text only) as plain text, from multiple Indesign files, applying and for all the bold and italics (for instance: Molluptas verion nossum idist doluptatet maiorerum quiaspienit, cum erferiosapis eos expe nonsequas verumquae dolor sim eos doluptatiur autet lab idicili beatum deliquat).
Properly tagging the styles, will be too time consuming, as these documents are as old as 1998, have inconsistent untagged styles; it will mean to manually open up each file, assign tags for all styles (not to mention that might be some local overwrites).
This task is necessary to have all the archive, available on wordpress website.
Any feedback would be much appreciated it.

There may well be a script or you may have pay someone to write it. All I can tell you is that any text not mapped to a style will be a mess in the HTML code.
Can’t comment on Quark files. I have no clue what they’re capable of.

    Can I implement this in only one project by having 20 packages?

Can anyone please brief me the pros and cons of kicking of multiple sql loader sessions that reads multiple flat files but inserting it into just one table.
The table is not partitioned. Avg record counts for each flat file is about 5-6 million.

Pros -> Faster loading of more data
Cons -> Potential performance degradation
Test to see how much resource consuming this task would be and do a priority comparison of that multi-multi load task with other stuff that will be happening in the database in the multi-multi load time so you could decide how to share resources in that time.

Making a DVD out of Flash file

Okay, I have my movie ready to go. Now, I want to export it to a DVD to play on a computer and/or a DVD player connected to a TV. How on earth do I do that? I have a Flash book, have searched google for hours, and I still do not know how to make my Flash file DVD-compatible. I have the iLife Suite, which includes iDVD and iMovie. I don't know if I need those at all.
I know I could export the movie as a Quicktime file, but when I do that, the vector images that I've put animation to look grainy and there are random lines drawn in during the animation. So I don't want to use Quicktime if I can avoid it. I want to be able to make my Flash file DVD-friendly and keep the same quality.
Can someone PLEASE offer some assitance? I've asked questions on here before and haven't always gotten an answer. I think that's because I've asked some pretty complicated questions. This one seems pretty simple, though. I'm hoping someone can help me. Thank you in advance!

AVI files can used many different CODECs to format the image information. Some 'flavors' of AVI files will work in iDVD with no problems - some won't.
I use VisualHub from http://www.techspansion.com/ to convert MY problem AVI files to DV files for use in iMovie and iDVD.
Your AVI files may be heavily compressed so be aware that DV files run about 13 GB per hour of content.

Best settings for a high quality dvd from FCP reference file?

Can anyone give me a list of steps to make the best possible quality DVD from an FCP reference file? The film is 10 minutes long, NTSC. Or can someone direct me to some threads that address this issue? Thanks so much.

How to Create a DVD from a .mov File?

I have a .mov file of a concert and I want to make a DVD out of it. Ideally, I'd like to have full menu options just like a normal DVD. From the main menu, I'd like to have two choices: 1) being able to watch the full length concert, and 2) being able to select individual songs (much like a scene selection on a regular DVD). The .mov file is in really great quality (the concert was filmed in HD) so I'd also like to keep as much quality as possible. How can I separate my .mov file into separate chapters so I can place each individual song into the menu choices? Thanks for any help!

NOt sure what you mean by "first play." I've done the tutorials on iDVD, but still can't figure it out. Is it possible to delete a movie that in the right box, i.e., previously selected? For some reason it says i've exceeded the size of the DVD even though it's only 1.8 GB. So i want to delete it and compress what i have, but i can't get rid of what's there. I suppose i could just delete the whole iDVD file and start again, or change the file name of the movie on the HD, but that seems very unMac-like.
There's nothing in the iDVD help either on "project validation" errors or how to correct other errors. But right now a simple way to delete a movie would be helpful.

Linking button from one flash file to a different flash file

Wondering if anyone knows how to link buttons in one flash
file to open a specific scene of an entirely different flash file?
If it isn't possible to choose a specific scene, is there a way to
just open a flash file...in the same browser window, but not within
the flash file...if that makes sense?
I'm putting this on a website, so additionally, I will need
to know which file to link it to, the swf, html, or fla.

I would advise against using scenes for your website. You
would need to create a separate html which would load the second
swf file within the same browser window.
