  • Dynamic actions for buttons

    11gxe , apex 4.x ,
    hi all ,
i am new to apex ,
i want to create a button , then create a dynamic action to it to do an action , but when i create the button , then go to
create a dynamic action , i see the a lot of events but when i go to pick an item to create the dynamic action for , i do not see the buttons created ?
    thanks

    Hi,
I see. Your local install of Apex is version 4.0, apperantly it is not supported to create a dynamic action that is triggered by a button.
You can, with some effort, create a dynamic action on a button. You'll need to create a button with 'Button Style' set to 'HTML button' and add a custom class or id to that button under the 'Button Attributes'. For example:
    http://vincentdeelen.com/images/otn/da_button_layout.png
Then create a dynamic action, choose 'jQuery selector' as selection type and then use the class or the id of the button as selector. The outcome should look something like this:
    http://vincentdeelen.com/images/otn/da_da_layout.png
For more info on jQuery and selectors, study the jQuery website: http://www.jquery.com

  • How to write dynamic actions for delimiting child subtype of IT0021

    Hi ,
I need the dynamic actions for the below scenario:
In IT0021 , there is a child subtype '02'. This needs to be delimited to a new subtype 'XX' when the child reaches a certain age.
The above process needs to be automated..as in when the new subtype 'XX' is created, it should check the fields like date of birth , last name and on saving it , the corresponding child subtype screen should be called where the user can modify the end date and delimit the child subtype.
Please help me with the required dynamic actions..

  • Would I use Dynamic Actions for this?

As part of my hiring action, I would like to trigger an email to the Org's chief once the employee record is created. Is this done via Dynamic Actions? If so, can someone give me a step-by-step on how to set that up?
    Thanks!

Hi you can use code like this in table T588Z
    Infotype
    |0000 |    |          |06|101|P|P0000-MASSN='E9'| check Action Type
    |0000 |    |          |06|102|P|P0000-MASSG='02'| check Reason for Action
    |0000 |    |          |06|103|P|PSPAR-PERSG='4' | check Employee group
    |0000 |    |          |06|104|W|PSPAR-PERSG='6' | check employee subgroup
    |0000 |    |          |04|105|M|M0001           | call a feature
With this feature M0001 I think you can make it
M0001 Parameter Settings for Mail on Change to Infotype Record
       Object
         Feature
       Task
This feature enables you to control who is sent a mail, the text sent,
         and the processing type used.
       Use
The feature can be used for all master data infotypes for both employees
         and applicants.
       Note
Decision field TCLAS enables you to control whether processing is
carried out only for employees (TCLAS=A) or only for applicants
         (TCLAS=B).
       Procedure
The return matrix of the feature has the following form: XXXXX ZZZZZ
         XXXXX Mail attribute
o   IDTXT - Name of a standard text. The first line is used as a title,
therefore you should formulate the mail after the second
             line
of the standard text. The above variable is entered. You can
only activate the infotype fields that trigger a mail.
o   RECV1 - Recipient 1 is the administrator for HR master data from the
Organizational Assignment infotype (0001) who is responsible
for the employee on today's date.
For applicants this is the personnel officer.
The user name contained in T526 is converted into an office
name. This conversion takes place for RECV2 and RECV3.
o   RECV2 - Recipient 2 is the payroll administrator taken from
the Organizational Assignment infotype (0001) who is
responsible for the employee on today's date.
This field is not supported for applicants.
o   RECV3 - Recipient 3 is for the Time Management administrator taken
from the Organizational Assignment infotype (0001) who is
responsible for the employee on today's date.
This field is not supported for applicants.
o   SUBTY - You want the employee whose data is changed to receive an
             e-mail
Here you specify which subtype is to be used to read the
employee's infotype 0105 record, that is, in which subtype
             you
store the employee's mail name. The employee only
receives a mail if SUBTY is filled.
o   OUTBX - The mail should be in the sender's outbox.
o   DISTR - Distribution list that is stored in the general folders
                     in SAP-Office (Transaction SO04).
o   NAME1 - If the infotype that triggers the mail is not the
Organizational Assignment infotype (0001), then the feature
                     specified is read.
You can define distribution lists and recipients in
this feature. The standard SAP system contains the
feature RCIEV, which can be used as an example.
o   NAME2 - If the infotype that triggers the mail is the
                     Organizational Assignment infotype (0001),
then the feature specified will be read
using the new data contained in infotype 0001. New data
means data contained in an infotype record for infotype
0001 that has been changed after the mail was sent. You
can define a distribution list and a recipient in this
             feature.
The standard SAP system contains the feature RCNEW,
which can be used as an example.
o   NAME3 - If the infotype that triggers the mail is the
                     Organizational Assignment infotype (0001),
then the feature specified here, will be
read using the old data contained in the infotype. Old
data means data prior to changing the infotype record that
triggered a mail to be sent. You can define distribution
lists and recipients in the feature. The standard SAP
system contains feature RCOLD, which can be used as an
                     example.
You can give a mail a process. The recipient of the mail can start the
         transaction specified from the mail:
         o   TCODE - Transaction code
         o   PAINF - Infotype
         o   PASUB - Subtype
         o   PABEG - Begin date
         o   PAEND - End date
o   PAFCD - Function code (OKcode)
ZZZZZ 30-character value that is entered in the field.
o   XXXXX = IDTXT: ZZZZZ is a standard text from SAPScript with the text
             ID PAMA (Transaction SO10)
         o   XXXXX = RECV1, RECV2, RECV3: ZZZZZ=X is the appropriate
administrator who is to receive the mail
o   XXXXX = SUBTY: ZZZZZ is 4-digit subtype for the infotype 0105
o   XXXXX = OUTBX: ZZZZZ=X the mail is put in the sender's outbox
         o   XXXXX = TCODE: ZZZZZ=PA30, PA20, PB30 or PB20
o   XXXXX = PAINF: ZZZZZ is the 4-digit number of an infotype
o   XXXXX = PASUB: ZZZZZ is the 4-digit number of a subtype
o   XXXXX = PABEG, PAEND: ZZZZZ= either an 8-digit date in the format
YYYYMMDD, e.g. ZZZZZ=19950630 for "30.06.1995", or enter the name of
a variable in inverted commas, e.g. ZZZZZ='P0001-ENDDA'. The
             following exist: P0001-BEGDA, P0001-ENDDA, P0002-BEGDA, P0002-ENDDA,
Pnnnn-BEGDA, Pnnnn-ENDDA, nnnn is the number of the infotype that
triggers the mail to be sent.
         o   XXXXX = PAFCD: ZZZZZ=COP  Copy, ZZZZZ=DEL  Delete, ZZZZZ=DIS
             Display, ZZZZZ=EDQ  Lock/Unlock, ZZZZZ=INS  Create, ZZZZZ=MOD Change
By using the operation NEXTR, you will jump into the feature's
subsequent line. The last line of an action is closed with commas (not
         NEXTR).

  • How to create dynamic elements in action of a view?

    hi all,
I created 2 buttons dynamically in WdDoModifyView(). I created  action1, and parameter for that action i.e, id of type string.
when i click on button1, some ui elements must be displayed.....
can anyone tell me how to dynamically add UI elements in onAction() of view.....
i wrote the following code to create & map dynamically in WdDoModifyView()........
    if(firstTime)
        IWDButton b1=(IWDButton)view.createElement(IWDButton.class,"button1");
        b1.setText("Button1");

when i am trying to create Ui elements dynamically, but i am unable to create dynamically here.
pls give me suggestion how to proceed this
    regards,
    vila

    Hi Vila,
Are you trying to create UI elements dynamically in the action? If yes then you won't be able to do so because you can only create UI elements dynamically in WDDoModifyView().
Always WDDoModifyView() would be called after your action. So, you can handle it as you want in your WDDoModifyView() itself.
But if you want that those elements should be created everytime when you fire an event then don't write it within if(firstTime) clause as this would be true only when WDDoModifyView() is called for the first time when the page intially loads.

  • How to set a navigation case as the action for a CoreCommandButton

    Hi all,
I dynamically display a CoreCommandButton on my jspx using code in the backing bean.
I want to set a navigation case to this button so that I can navigate to a separate page when clicking the button.
CoreCommanButton has a setAction method which needs a methoBinding. If my navigation case is "goMaintainPr", how do I set this as the action of my button? Can I create a methodBinding for my navigation case? If so how?
    Cheers.
    Kaz.

I am creating my CoreCommanButton in the backing bean like:
              CoreCommandButton editElemBtn = new CoreCommandButton();
              editElemBtn.setId(elemCd + "-edit");
              editElemBtn.setText("Edit");
and then add it to the page from the backing bean. So I need to be able to set the action to the above button like:
editElemBtn.setAction(action); -- here, action needs to be a methodBinding. So i cannot just assign my navigation case as a String.
How do I create a methodBinding with my navigation case ?

  • URGENT: Cutomize Email functionality for Action Items

    Experts,
I need to your help for a customization I need to help setup immediately.
Here is the requirement : Client does not currently have an E-mail notification functionality turned on for Action Items. The requirement is to have E-mails sent out when ever an Action Item is Assigned to a User. The email should be sent to both the user who has been AssignedTo and the person who actually assigned.
I believe this need customization to Criteria Workflow email and/or cutomization to the out of the mail templates - reviewr_mail.htm and reject_mail.htm .
I am not sure which workflow is tied to Action Items.
Any expert advise on this would tremendously help .
    Thanks in advance.
    Rakesh

Old Old (6 years) data that only partly covers this, and on a current server may need some tweaking but this may help.
The following are required and assumed for custom workflow email functionality:
Stellent Content Server 7.x or higher
    A working knowledge of CS
A working knowledge of CS workflow step event architecture
A working knowledge of Idoc Script.
    Business Problem
You wish to customize the email message, subject, template, or all of the above, sent out by CS Criteria workflow.
    Idoc Script Explanation
There are several new or newly exposed Idoc Script variables and functions, as well as old stand-bys, that make customizing 7.x Criteria Workflow emails quick and easy. All the functions and variables described herein may be found in the Idoc Script reference guide.
Emails will be triggered by criteria workflow:
    Upon Step Entry
    Upon Reject
Upon execution of the <wfNotify()> Idoc Script function
    Customizing Email Templates
There are two primary workflow email templates that are used to generate the email messages sent out to recipients. These are: reviewer_mail.htm and reject_mail.htm both of which are located in the default templates directory at:
    < Stellent Home Dir >/shared/config/templates
These templates may be modified like any other template according to established component architecture best practices. The templates are Idoc Script enabled and, as such, may evaluate dynamic code and draw dynamic results when the server is creating the mail message. Of course, after the message instance is created from the template and sent off to the mail server, no additional scripting may be done. Email message template modification provides the greatest flexibility and opportunity for truly customized and dynamic workflow emails.
It should be noted that not only may the email templates be modified for universal email changes, but also you may create custom workflow email templates based on the standard templates. Custom templates may be called as desired by adding them as the optional third parameter to <wfNotify()>.
    Example:
    <wfNotify(userName,"user",templateName)>
    or
    <wfNotify(aliasName,"alias",templateName)>
If no template is specified, SCS will use the system default template.
Although email template modification is relatively straightforward, such modification requires careful component development. Consequently, some clients prefer to modify the most important portions of the criteria workflow email: the subject and the message.
    Customizing the Email Subject Line
Criteria workflow email subject lines may be modified in several ways. The core string resource may be modified according to standard component architecture. Additionally, the wfMailSubject IdocScript variable may be declared in criteria workflow step event scripting to give greater control and flexibility for narrowly targeted customization.
The default criteria workflow email subject lines are defined in the ww_strings.htm file located at:
    < Stellent Home Dir >/shared/config/resourced/lang
    The string definitions are:
<@wwWfIsNotifyOnly=Workflow notification for content item '{1}' is in step '{2}'.@> {1} = content item title. {2} = name of step in workflow.
<@wwWfReadyForStep=Content item '{1}' is ready for workflow step '{2}'.@> {1} = content item title. {2} = name of step in workflow.
    <@wwWfRejected=Content item '{1}' has been rejected.@> {1} = name of content item.
These may be aliased (superceded) in a component resource file. They are typically called with the localization Idoc Script function <$lc()$>. See the <@dynamichtml wf_approve_mail_subject@> include definition in std_page.htm for an example of how email subject line string includes may be implemented.
For simple criteria workflow subject line changes Idoc Script, rather than full-blown components, may be used. The Idoc Script variable <$wfMailSubject="my subject"$> can be placed in step event script. The value of <$wfMailSubject$> can also accept Idoc Script. For example:
<$wfMailSubject="My Custom Subject Line for the content with title <$dDocTitle$>"$>
Note that no eval() function is required for the Idoc Script variable to evaluate when included in the wfMailSubject variable.
If wfMailSubject is place in the entry event of a workflow step, then any email messages triggered by content entering the step will receive the customized subject line. Additionally, wfMailSubject may be declared just prior to a wfNotify() function and the email(s) generated by that function call will receive the custom subject line.
    Customizing the Email Message Line
The email message line is not the same thing as the email body. Rather each SCS criteria workflow generated email contains several lines of standard data:
    Message: message line
    Workflow Name: workflow name line
Workflow Step: workflow step name line
    Content Item:     content id line
The message line will default to one of two messages depending on whether or not the workflow step is a "notification only" (i.e. 0 required reviewers) step or not. The relevant localized strings are:
Notification only: <@wwWfIsNotifyOnly=Workflow notification for content item '{1}' is in step '{2}'.@> {1} = content item title. {2} = name of step in workflow.
Review Required: <@wwWfReadyForStep=Content item '{1}' is ready for workflow step '{2}'.@> {1} = content item title. {2} = name of step in workflow.
See the <@dynamichtml wf_approve_mail_message@> include definition in std_page.htm for an example of how email message line string includes may be implemented.
For simple criteria workflow message line changes Idoc Script may be leveraged in step event scripts. The Idoc Script variable <$wfMessage="my message"$> may be placed in step events to give the workflow emails custom message lines. Like wfMailSubject, the value of wfMessage can accept tagged Idoc Script variables without requiring an eval() wrapper. If wfMessage is declared in the entry event of a workflow step, workflow generated email messages for that step will use the value assigned to wfMessage. Additionally, wfMessage may be declared prior to a wfNotify() function and the email(s) generated by that function call will receive the custom message line.
These are not the only ways to customize criteria workflow email attributes. However, the SCS 7.x Idoc Script API provides these methods, functions, and variables to make customizing workflow emails simple.
    Requirements, Pre-Requisites, and Assumptions
The following are required and assumed for custom workflow email functionality:
Stellent Content Server 7.x or higher
    A working knowledge of CS
A working knowledge of CS workflow step event architecture
A working knowledge of Idoc Script.

    Hello
I don't know who to complain to as you do not appear to have a complaints department, despite searching the web, I trust you can pass this to relevant department for action, as I'm very angry over my recent repair.
Following my issue relating to a blank screen 2 weeks ago, your advisor arranged for my iMac to collected by Amsys, for repair and return, this was done and it was returned to me last Tuesday, onWednesday I set up my iMac again and instantly realised I had problems, much worse than before. I called Amsys to inform them of the issue of the computer being very very slow and unable to open iPhoto and pages, and document listing would not show up, plus I had no sound on the mac. They informed me that they had only replaced the video card and what they had done would have not affected the computers performance. He suggested I reinstall OSX again which I did, but this made no difference to the programs, so I called you.
Your technician on the phone was very good as they have always been, and made an appointment for me to go into the Milton Keynes Apple store the next day at 1 pm, which I did.
The gentleman on the Genius Bar was very good and was able to run tests on the iMac in my presence, and diagnosed immediately an issue with the sound problem, and advised me that this could not be fixed while I wait and I would need to leave it for repair. I made him aware of the previous repair, and he was able to see via your system, the list of logged issues I have had with this since purchasing in September 2012. I'm sure you can see from the way you record all calls and issues the problems I have had.
Today I called to ask if my iMac would soon be ready for collection, I was told the repairs had been completed and it was being tested. However to my dismay, I learned of another serious issue relating to the repair carried out by Amsys. I was informed that 6 screws were missing from the the iMac internally, which caused me much distress and concern, they also told me I had to wait even longer as the screws had to be ordered and installed on arrival before I could collect it.
My issues here are: I trusted the Amsys repairer as it was arranged and recommend by you, it is very evident they are not competent to repair, as they have caused more problems with my iMac on its return, despite enclosing a checklist, fully ticked showing everything working well, it clearly wasn't ! Plus the issue of missing parts (screws) during the repair, I have already expressed my disgust with Amsys, by email and had a response, within the hour, apologising and told me they were looking into this.
This where I stand on this, I have not had my iMac for  almost two weeks and I do not know when I will get it back. I'm also very worried about what other damage has been caused by Amsys and the quality of my iMac now. I want to know what you, Apple is going to do about this ? I have already been very inconvenienced by this and until now I have been a very loyal apple customer with 2 iPads, and 4 iPhones in our household, not to mention the iMac.
I feel I have been very let down by this experience, on my iMac, which cost a lot of money, I have also lost a lot of money with lost work and unable to carry out my business without it, and I will be seeking compensation.
I trust you will take this complaint seriously and pass it to the relevant department for action.
    Yours sincerely
    Des Withey

    Hi,
Take one integer value attribute in the context of view
when you r performing action on POP1 set it's value to 1
when you r performing action on POP2 set it's value to 2
create one method which receives integer argument, say diaplay(int a)
In the action call display(wdContext.currentContextElement().get<intvariable>()) by passing the value in the context attribute
in display() method, Check the value of integer variable..
if it is 1 then perform action related to POP1
if it is 2 then perform action related to POP2
