  • How can we display dynamic fields from a XML CLOB?

    Jdeveloper Version : 11.1.1.4.0 (11g)
    We are calling a database package.procedure from a page VO and it returns a result set. The result set is mainly a XML CLOB. Within XML CLOB, we have various sections which we need to parse and display those on JSF page. Couple of sections within XML are having dynamic fields which means the number of fields returned under that section may change depending upon data conditions. We need to find technical way of displaying those dynamic fields (field name and its data – both are part of XML).
    Please suggest how can this be achieved.
    Thanks

    Hi Rahul,
    maybe thread dynamic program for alv is helpful for you. More information about the [SAP List Viewer (ALV)|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/5e/88d440e14f8431e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm]. Also have a look into the example programs SALV_DEMO_TABLE*.

  • Problems with dynamic PDF display in reader 8.1.0

    I have created a dynamic PDF Form having 30 text fields in a row. All these fields are bounded to XSD. The design is like, a row of fields display a single user informations. When I import a XML with 100 user informations, then my PDF crashes. If I import a XML with 50 user informations, then it works fine. Anything beyond that count causes the PDF to close automatically. I believe, its the number of fields which causes the problem. I may be wrong.
    I also needs to enter 100 user informations by adding rows one by one. The PDF becomes very slower when I add beyond 35th row. I'm using Livecycle designer 8.0 for designing dynamic PDFs and using Adobe reader 8.1.0 for viewing.
    Can anyone help me on this?

    Hi,
    I figured our there was a setting to enable/disable  Javascript which caused this issue.
    I was using javascript in the LC 8 for manipulations in the dynamic pdfs.
    I enabled the javascript and now it is working fine.
    Thanks,

  • Custom infotype - issues with conversion class - making fields display only

    Hi,
    I created the custom infotype 9008 using t-code PM01, created conversion class ZCL_HRPA_UI_CONVERT_9008_XX and assigned it to screen structure ZHCMT_BSP_PA_XX_R9008 in the view V_T588UICONVCLAS. Coded the methods IF_HRPA_UI_CONVERT_STANDARDOUTPUT_CONVERSION and IF_HRPA_UI_CONVERT_STANDARDINPUT_CONVERSION. I'm trying to make some fields display only within the method OUTPUT_CONVERSION dynamically. Coded the check class ZCL_HRPA_INFOTYPE_9008 with business logic.
    Everything seems to be working fine when I test using the test tool through t-code PUIT_UI.
    When I try to create/modify 9008 record through PA30, the code in the methods OUTPUT_CONVERSION  and INPUT_CONVERSION is never getting executed. The control is not coming there at all. The fields are allowing input. Any idea why this is happening.
    We are on ECC 6.0 and at service pack level SAPKE60035. Couldn't find any relevant SAP notes as well.  Appreciate your help in this regard.
    Thanks,
    Kumar.

    Hi Venkata,

  • Dynamic field labels in table control

    Hi experts,
        My requirement is to display dynamic field labels in table control can we do this. I am much aware
    that we can do it in alv_grid. Please let me know.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sri

    Hi Anubhab,
         Thanks. With your help i could able to solve the problem. Let me put this in some
    more detail.
    When we are pulling the field from a table to table control we need to make sure the fields should have a data elements. After pulling all the fields to a table control ,we need to drag out  and delete the current table control column headings and then drop in the (new) I/O fields into their place.  I then set the text on these new fields within the PBO.  If we try to drop the (new) I/O fields on top of the existing ones with out deleting it won't work.
    Thanks & Regards.

  • How to pass selection screen value to LDB dynamic field.

    Hello everybody,
    In my program, I am using standard LDB(PSJ) for getting data. And there is a requirement that I have to display some dynamic fields on my selection screen like plant , person responsible ( which are mandatory also ) etc. and inside the program I have to fill those dynamic fields for which the user has entered the value in selection screen.
    Could you please tell me how to pass some of selection screen values to ldb dynamic fields before GET statement.
    Thanks !!!

    You can capture the values selected through the dynamic selections using some of the functions modules below, just search the forum for the below FM's, perhaps you can find some sample code
    FREE_SELECTIONS_EX_2_RANGE
    FREE_SELECTIONS_EX_2_WHERE
    FREE_SELECTIONS_RANGE_2_EX

  • Dynamic internal table and dynamic field catalog

    hi
    i need to decide the number of fields of the internal table at runtime
    and then need to pass value to this internal table.
    then i need to create the field catalog for this internal table (so here
    field catalog is also dynamic) to display in alv.
    how to achieve this dynamic internal table creation and dyanmic field catalog generation

    Hi Ajay,
      U can use the below code to create a dynamic internal table.
    *adding the field names only once for the dynamic table     .
          MOVE 'PRCTR' TO gw_component-name.
          gw_component-type ?= cl_abap_elemdescr=>get_string( ).
          INSERT gw_component INTO TABLE gt_components.
          MOVE 'RCNTR' TO gw_component-name.
          gw_component-type ?= cl_abap_elemdescr=>get_string( ).
          INSERT gw_component INTO TABLE gt_components.
          MOVE 'RACCT' TO gw_component-name.
          gw_component-type ?= cl_abap_elemdescr=>get_string( ).
          INSERT gw_component INTO TABLE gt_components.
          MOVE 'RYEAR' TO gw_component-name.
          gw_component-type ?= cl_abap_elemdescr=>get_string( ).
          INSERT gw_component INTO TABLE gt_components.
          MOVE 'YTDBAL' TO gw_component-name.
          gw_component-type ?= cl_abap_elemdescr=>get_string( ).
          INSERT gw_component INTO TABLE gt_components.
          MOVE 'OBAL' TO gw_component-name.
          gw_component-type ?= cl_abap_elemdescr=>get_string( ).
          INSERT gw_component INTO TABLE gt_components.
    *get structure descriptor -> GR_STRUCTDESCR
              gr_structdescr ?= cl_abap_structdescr=>create( gt_components ).
    create work area of structure GR_STRUCTDESCR -> GR_WA
              CREATE DATA gr_wa TYPE HANDLE gr_structdescr.
              ASSIGN gr_wa->* TO <gw_wa>.
    determine key components -> GT_KEYS
              MOVE lv_value1 TO gw_key-name.
              INSERT gw_key INTO TABLE gt_keys.
    create descriptor for internal table -> GR_TABLEDESCR
              gr_tabledescr ?= cl_abap_tabledescr=>create( p_line_type  = gr_structdescr
                                                           p_table_kind = cl_abap_tabledescr=>tablekind_hashed
                                                           p_unique     = abap_true
                                                           p_key        = gt_keys
                                                           p_key_kind   = cl_abap_tabledescr=>keydefkind_user ).
    create internal table -> GR_ITAB
              CREATE DATA gr_itab TYPE HANDLE gr_tabledescr.
              ASSIGN gr_itab->* TO <gt_itab>.
              CREATE DATA gr_itab LIKE STANDARD TABLE OF <gw_wa>.
              ASSIGN gr_itab->* TO <gt_sttab>.
    Now u r internal table named <gt_sttab> has been created with fields like RCNTR, PRCTR,RACCT, RYEAR etc whatever the field u need u can go ahead and create dynamically.
    then by using the table <gt_sttab> u can create u r field catalog.
    Regards,
    Rose.

    Hi Sreekanth,
    Simply follow below steps:
    1. Create a Input/Output field in screen layout.
    2. Double click on it and 'Attributes' window will get opened.
    3. Give a 'Name' to it (Ex: Text) and under 'Display' tab, tick 2D display and As label on left
    4. Save and Activate.
    5. In PBO, use below code,

  • Dynamic field inputs lost when form is emailed

    Hello,
    I am relatively new to LiveCycle and have been using it off and on to build a series of forms, learning as I go.  All work is being done in Designer ES.
    I have a form built with several dynamic fields (text fields that display contingent upon a radio or dropdown selection, table rows that are added using a button with addInstance, etc).  The form also contains an email submit option which emails the completed form to me (for now), for testing purposes.
    I just started testing the form this morning.  Locally it tests fine: fields display when they should, table rows are added with all the cell contents that should be there, everything can be completed.  When I use the email submit button to send it to myself, then view the attachment, all dynamic areas are missing.  They aren't just blank - they don't even appear.  So the "root" yes/no/other dropdown appears, but the textfield tied to "other", which I completed prior to emailing, is not visible once emailed.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    First try going to File > Form Properties > Defaults tab.
    There set the "Preserve script changes" to automatic:
    This should help.
    You may wish to check that each of the objects are set to Name/Normal binding in the Object > Binding palette (global binding will also work, if you want to use thsi for certain fields). I don't think that this is the issue, but have a look anyway.
    Hope that helps,
    Niall

  • Dynamic Table display Horizontally??

    Is there any relatively easy way to make a DW CS3 Dynamic
    Table display horizontally? So far the best I can figure out is to
    do multiple <cfoutput query= lines per:
    <table border="1">
    <tr> <cfoutput query="rsOfficeStyles"
    startRow="#StartRow_rsOfficeStyles#"
    maxRows="#MaxRows_rsOfficeStyles#">
    <td>#rsOfficeStyles.image#</td> </cfoutput>
    </tr>
    <tr> <cfoutput query="rsOfficeStyles"
    startRow="#StartRow_rsOfficeStyles#"
    maxRows="#MaxRows_rsOfficeStyles#">
    <td>#rsOfficeStyles.name#</td> </cfoutput>
    </tr>
    </table>

    You need to pass the following to the quantity fields..
    ls_fieldcat-do_sum = 'X'.
    When you build the sort table, do this...
    FORM sort_build USING lt_sort TYPE slis_t_sortinfo_alv.
      DATA: ls_sort TYPE slis_sortinfo_alv.
      CLEAR ls_sort.
      ls_sort-spos = 1.
      ls_sort-tabname = gt_tabname_item.
      ls_sort-fieldname = 'DESCBIEN'.
      ls_sort-subtot = 'X'.
      ls_sort-up = 'X'.
      ls_sort-group = 'UL'.
      APPEND ls_sort TO lt_sort.
    ENDFORM.                    " sort_build
    Has you any way of knowing which fields are quantity?
    Greetings,
    Blag.

  • Dynamic Fields and Images

    Hi Folks,
    I have to prepare some PDFs using indesign that will be used for Invoices. Our developers want to be able to add the logo and certain fields dynamically. I wanted to find out is there anything special i need to know to do to make the fields and logo updateable dynamically in the output PDF. What is this topic even under? Would it be a scripting thing? I tried Googling around to find answers but had no luck.
    Just to give you an example of what I mean by dynamic fields.... i might have a field title "Surname" with text box alongside. My developers should be able to insert the correct surname into that text box when displaying the PDF
    Thanks for your help community!

    is the PDF generated in indesign going be used as a graphic for the Management Information System (MIS) to put data over the top of, or are "the developers" attempting to use indesign as a database query tool?
    indesign's data merge has limited capabilities and using it as a "back end" to generate invoices is something that IMHO is beyond its scope.
    can the OP please give more information so that a more properly formed answer can be given?

  • Put A Library Graphic in a Dynamic Field

    Here's what I've got:
    * In the Library, I have a movieclip which has a dynamic field.  Let's call the MC: "Foo" and the field "BlahField".
    * In the Library, I have 3 small ball graphics which I'll call "IconA", "IconB", and "IconC".
    I read data from an external file and depending on what I find, I'll use ActionScript to add a Foo movieclip to the stage.  Now, I want to some text in the BlahField, but--depending on the data--I also want to put one of the icons in the field as well.  For the sake of this example, let's say I need IconA
    Using ActionScript how do I put the IconA image in Foo.BlahField.text (remembering that I want to pull the image from the Library).
    Foo.BlahField.text = ???? + <data from file>;
    Thanks,
    ---Damian

    I really appreciate the help.  But still no love.  This is what I did this time:
    I cleared out the old attempts.
    I re-imported "BlueOrb.png"
    I created a new MovieClip symbol which I called "IconA"
    I placed BlueOrb on the crosshairs of the new MovieClip and closed it.
    I went to the Library, right-clicked the IconA movieclip symbol and chose properties.
    In the Symbol Properties window, the Name: field says IconA
    I made sure there were checks in Export for ActionScript and Export in frame 1.
    In the Class field, I see IconA, and added _Class to the end.  So the class is now: IconA_Class.
    The Base class: remains flash.display.MovieClip
    I clicked OK to close the window.
    I checked my field.  It is dynamic and is set to render HTML.
    I then did the following tests:
    Foo.BlahField.htmlText = <img src='IconA_Class' >Huzzah!";
    Foo.BlahField.htmlText = <img src='IconA_Class()' >Huzzah!";
    Foo.BlahField.htmlText = <img src='IconA' >Huzzah!";
    Foo.BlahField.htmlText = <img src='IconA()' >Huzzah!";
    ...still the Huzzah! showed up, but not the image.
