Dynamic generation of HTML based on XML/XSD

Hi
I'm looking for a way to generate HTML from various XMLand/or XSD Files. What I want is a generic mechanism that can generate an HTML page from a random XML/XSD File.
I have one or two ideas, but I'm interested in what others have done so far.
Questions:
- Has anybody already made something like this?
- Is there some free ware API to support this?
Thanks!

you can generated the html dynamically and store it in a ABAP variable and use it in your layout
but in your case one of the best ways you could handle is store the user selections in an internal table. (which can hold the check box number and an indicator whether that should be rendred or not)
then in the layout write
<% loop at itab into wa where render = 'X'. %>
htmlb:checkbox  id= ....
<% endloop. %>

    ooooh, I see!
    you can achieve this with one single universal XSL:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:fo="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format">
         <xsl:output method="text"/>
         <xsl:template match="query">
              <xsl:apply-templates select="result[1]/@*" mode="heading"/>
              <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">&#13;</xsl:text>

         </xsl:template>
         <xsl:template match="@*" mode="heading">
              <xsl:value-of select="local-name(.)"/>
              <xsl:text> </xsl:text>
         </xsl:template>

  • How to set dynamic color , based on xml element

    Hi,
    We have a requirement, where based on certain conditions, a cell will be shown in a specific color. We would like the coloir to be based on an XML element. The xml element will have values like '#FF00FF' etc..
    We tried using xsl attribute with the following syntax ,
    <xsl:attribute xdofo:ctx="block"name="color"><?stdcolor?></xsl:attribute><?end if?>
    where stdcolor is the xml element, but when we use this , this is giving a syntax error.
    Let us know, if this is possible or is there any other alternate way to do this.

    Hi Vasu,

  • Start XML Publisher from a html based page.

    Hi.
    We have users that only have access to the html based pages in EBS.
    I wonder if I somehow can make it possible for them to start a xml publisher report request with parameters, from those html based pages.
    In the form based pages this is not a problem, just add the concurrent program to a request group. But there must be someway to do this from the html based pages as well.
    Is there a Role that can be assigned or something?

  • How to generate an XML file from SSIS (based on an XSD)?

    I have an XSD that describes an XML format. I also have a sample XML file as well from the XSD. I am trying to understand SSIS's capability to generate the XML file in an ETL process. I would need to create the XML file based on the XSD that
    I have. It is safe to assume that all the data elements are in the DB that I am incorporating in the ETL and it is also safe to assume that the data in the XML may be from multiple different tables (so massaging is probably necessary).
    Would this be a job for C#/VB or can I do this through an SSIS process/task? Please help me understand my options. Thanks.

    Dear All,
    Indeed the post by RamJaddu did not answer the question. I am having the same issue: I have been provided an .xsd file which contains a data schema, and I have all of the necessary
    data in a .mdf file in order to create the required .xml file. Having queried SQL Server and received my data in "myDataSet" I can use C# to create the .xml ignoring the schema using
    string strSchemaFile = @"F:\Documents\UserCost\VictorianDataCollection\VCDCSchema_v2.xsd";
    string strXmlFile = "testXmlExport.xml";
    myDataSet.WriteXmlSchema(strSchemaFile);
    myDataSet.WriteXml(strXmlFile, XmlWriteMode.IgnoreSchema);
    but how do I export the .xml file so that is conforms with the .xsd format?
    If any of you have worked this out the answer would be most appreciated.
    All the best,

         document.write("<td>{Breve}</td>");
          </script>
               </tr>

    Sure this is how it should work (except that no anchor tag shall be present for Destinazione whereas Mappa has no real value in)

                   contentHandler.startElement("", "section", "section", attrs);
                   attrs.clear();

  • Converter XSD-XML  &  XML-XSD

    Hi,
    I am looking for a piece of code for
    a) creating an XML file by given an XSD schema
    b) creating an XSD file by given an XML document
    The given files are dynamically.
    The exported files can be good as possible.
    There are many discussions on internet, unfortunatelly without usefull code fragment.
    Is a simple converting of xsd->xml and xml->xsd a big problem?
    (Of course user needs to modify the converted file, so that it makes also semantically sense. )
    Thanks

  • Universe based on XML

    Hello
    I am trying to create a universe based on simple XML (containing fields department name, department id), via Univer Builder in XI3.1, using CWM Relational 1.0 bridge, but I am not able to connect to the XML directly.
    I used the sample DynaDom.xml, and it enables the create universe option (saw a diff that this XML was attached to a conenction or database?)
    Here, I want to understand, what would be the correct method of creating universe using relational bridge, do I have to declare anything in param.xml file, if yes how?
    Even I tried connecting it with club db, and then exported it back to xml,xsd and xsl format, but hard luck!
    Thanks

  • How to show the columns dynamically in OBIEE report based on the selection?

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where the columns should be dynamically shown in report based on what we select in propmt page.
    I'm creating a report in OBIEE where i want to give an option to the end user to select the columns whichever he wants to see in the report.
    For example I have the following columns in the report already:
    Customer Name,
    Customer Number,
    Bank Account,
    Address
    I want to give an option to the user to select 'Customer Mail ID' dynamically and see the column to be displyed in the report along with the existing columns.
    Through 'Column Selector' user can select a single column at a time, but if he want to select more than one column, how can we do this ?
    Please help me out in resolving this issue.
    Thanks,
    Chaithanya.

    Hi Chaithanya,
    there's not a straight solution for this. You can create different analysis containing different number of columns and then directing the user to this analysis using Action Links or you can also use View Selector to switch from one view (analysis) to the other. But it's not going to be very flexible nor dynamic.

  • How to Include html tag in xml

    Hi,
    Is there any way to include html tags in xml?
    For Example, I'm using xsl to get the value of FIELD_1 from fetch.xml

    How to achieve this?

    I exported the task sequence and checked in "object.xml" for the "ApplyWindowsSettingsAction", to see if there was something odd in the xml, but I don't find anything that jumps out as being wrong.  Here's the section of XML for
    that step.  I've removed identifying info, and replaced it with a generic term in bold.

    Is there any other log I should check for a clue on this issue?  What could be causing this error?

    Thanks for sharing that!  I tend to save contacting MS support until after I've exhausted other options.  I'm always afraid that I'll spend the $500 to open a case and then it turns out to be something simple that I would have found if I had just
    kept working on it myself a little longer.
    It looks like that link is for an update released in February as KB3023562.  I downloaded and installed it. I'll try opening/editing/saving the task sequence a few times today to see if the issue is resolved.
    After I had already installed it, I thought to look up that update in configmgr.  The update is listed as superseded by 2 other updates.  The newest of those is KB3046049, which just installed last night with the other March patches, so it's possible
    that I didn't need to install KB3023562 after all.

  • Populating dynamic values in the combobox with XML form Builder.

    I am trying to  populate dynamic value in the combobox with xml form builder. I  see the document saying create property group and document property Id with respecitive values.  I am able to create the property group with system admin -> System config
    -> KM -> CM -> Global services  -> property Metadata -> groups  with new button. and I  am trying to create document property Id with value. I am not able to find the way to give  value in the property.   I am using  EP 7.0 Sp 14.  Please let me know how to sovel it

    Hi
    You can create new property metadata with System Admin > System Config > KM > CM > Global services > Property Metadata > Properties > New. Specify the values for this metadata as the ones you need to have in the combo box. Use allowed values parameter of the matadata to sepcify the values. Each metadata property will have unique property ID and you can map this property ID to your combo box in xml forms.
    Give it a try.
