Dynamic Paper format and margin selection

Hello Gurus
Is it possible to dynamically change the paper format of a form based on a parameter pass through the interface?
(FormCalc)
I need to create a form that will be used by the North-America countries (Letter format) and by European countries (A4 format).
1. The paper format should/could be selected by a variable pass through the interface.
How to change the paper format based on the variable?
2. Top, bottom, left and right margin should be adjusted based on the same variable.
How to change the margins (top, bottom, left, right) based on the variable?
3. How to adjust the page footer to be at the bottom of the page regardless of the paper format?

But I am facing a problem. Though I am passing X_65_80 to the LAYOUT in the Function Module, it is trying to print in LETTER format. But the specified printer as the printer supports only A4 paper format and as a result, I am not getting any printout.
Kindly help me with your suggestions to resolve this.

Hi,
I just found that this problem is even stranger.
I am able to print the said message on my local printer but when I try to print the same message on a different printer located at a different location, the printout does not get triggered. I am not getting any error messages also in this case.
What could be the possible reason for this?
Kindly share your views/experience with me on this one.

Differences between Internal Format and External Format

Hi experts,
When I was importing master data from InfoObject in BW, there's an option selection in the screen of Data Manager. Its name is Choose format and two selectable options are:
1. Internal Format
2. External Format
I looked into help of BPC and it says:
Choose the Format
Note:
The External Format calls the Output conversion routine of the InfoObject.
The Internal Format does not call the Output conversion routine.
I'm not sure what is Output conversion routine of the InfoObject. Could you help me to understand it?

Hi Tony,
In BPC Data Manager, you will find Conversions, in that you will find
External and Internal formats. This means if you are importing a flat file where in
Example your date format in that file is 31-10-2009, but our Internal format (BPC format)
will not accept it. Our internal format is 2009.OCT. So accordingly you have to
mention that. It may be for any dimension like Accounts, Product and so on.......

FF 6 "Page Setup" missing "Format & Options" and "Margins & Header/Footer" tabs

Running 6.0.1 or 6.0.2 on FreeBSD 8.2-STABLE when I select File->Page Setup the standard popup window no longer has tabs for "Format & Options" and "Margins & Header/Footer" that I see on Windows XP when running 6.0.2 - this would be okay were it not for the fact that printing (using CUPS on FreeBSD) no longer prints the headers and footers (which I see just fine when I do Print Preview) something in FF 6.x has regressed and is affecting Page Setup.

Yep, this I know. And have long since done this (probably before FireFox was called Mozilla). In fact my margins are set the way I want them (and have been unchanged for years - at least since 2006). That was the first thing I checked.
The fact is ever since I upgrated to 6.01 from 5.x (which was a few weeks ago) my printing from FF6 has not included the footers and headers. As I've said, I can see my footers and headers when I perform Print Preview, but they do not appear on the printed page(s), I truly believe this is changed behaviour due to the upgrade to FF6. Next week I will try a screen capture of my Print Preview to include an image for the "Add images:" feature when posting a reply, but I don't know how to show the physical printed page lacking those same headers and footers short of shooting a photograph with a macro lens and including that as an image. Therefore for now, you will just have to take my word for the fact of missing footers and headers. Also, next week I would be able to post here my about:config settings for the margin preferences which I assure you have remained unchanged for several years. FWIW, printing from Opera 11.11 to the same printer from the same workstation where FF6 is running does include my footers and headers. To my thinking this fairly much puts the blame for this problem on FF6. Thanks.

no - you simply have to select the option to print mucliples of a photo on a page
select the photo and go to the file menu ==> print - select the printer, paper size and print size and click customize - in the tool bar click on the settings icon (the gear looking thingy) and select "multiple of the same photo per page" and the preview will reflect this option showing a full page of the selected size photos

If you want to play them in iTunes, choose "Convert." This will allow iTunes to create new AAC versions and add those new versions to your iTunes library.
The original WMA files will still be in the folder(s) wherever they currently are. iTunes will ignore the WMAs once it has the converted versions. It is then up to you if you wish to keep or delete your WMA origninals.

HT204135 I have two Epson printers and one Canon printer. Why am I unable to access the same print options on my MacBook Pro as I could on mp PC i.e. select paper type and print quality?

I have just purchased a MacBook Pro as my PC has finaly died.
I have three Inkjet printers i.e. Epson Photo PX700W Epson Photo R340 and a Canon Pixma ip4600 which I connected to my Mac and the print drivers were automatically downloaded. Now when I print using any of the printers the functionality PC i.e. Choice of paper and print quality settings. Is this all I get when using the Mac OS lion or should the functionality be on a par with Windows?

Depending on the application you are printing from, you may need to press the Show Details button in the print dialog to see all of the additional driver menus.
The image below is for the extended print dialog of TextEdit and for a Canon MP990 printer. The Show Details button is on the bottom of the print dialog and will change to Hide Details when selected. And with the menu changed to Quality & Media, you have paper options and print quality settings.

How to know which radiobutton is selected in case of dynamic UI generation and how to pass it to back end?

This is how I have written for dynamically generating radiobuttons. I have some categories on left view, by selecting which, i will get corresponding questions and it generates 5 options, and user selects one and I need to pass it to back end. I am using IModifiableSimpleValueSet for filling the radiobuttons.

U create two windows in the page and same as like second page.
but in first page first window select the condition print only on first page.
in second window select conditin print only on second page.
first try without creating a secondpage. if that doesn't workout create secondpage and try.

How to use MM/YYYY Format in the selection Screen?

There is this program RMCB0300 where the date format in the selection screen has MM/YYYY Format.
I am working on a report which requires it "Period" Field in the selection screen to be in the same format.
However, i am trying to give the select option as " SL_SPMON FOR S031-SPMON MODIF ID PER." and declaring S031 table in the declaration part.
But still, its not been able to provide me F4 help in the inpur screen.
Can someone please provide me some guidance in this regard?

My dynamic query now returns a single string ( select col1 || col2 || col3 from bla)
This way I don't have dynamic collumns issue, and from business side, this ''string'' format works for them.
This way I can use the pipelines to get the result out...

How to set headers, footers, and margins in pages?

I'm using the pages app to write a paper. An I want to set my headers, footers, and margins to 0. So that way they won't show in my Microsoft word. Can anyone help me with that? I'm also blind an I use voiceover. So I would need step by step instructions on what to do. Thank u.

You can create left and right single quotes with option + }, and shift + option + }, respectively.
Double quotes work the same way using the { character substituted above.
Menu > Format > Font > Baseline:
Superscript is control + command and +
Subscript is control + command and -

Printer forcing the paper format

Hi ,
A SAP script form which has the format of a DIN4 is being printed out in a printer which has US letter settings. The margins have been accomodated such that the content is visible if printed in both the US letter as well as DINA4 formats. However the printer is being forced to re set the settings from US letter to A4. Has any one encountered this before and how to resolve this without changing the SAPscirpt Paper format (DINA4).
