Dynamic reference for movieclips

I have read several examples both on the web and in the Adobe
help files regarding dynamic referencing.
I cannot get Actionscript to recognize a dynamically named
clip such as in the attached for loop.
Any suggestions as to why thumbCan[thumbMC+i] returns
undefined and therfore doesn't allow anything to be loaded?

Since Azure SDK 2.5 uses the extension model the diagnostics extension, the configuration and the connection string to the diagnostic storage are no longer part of the deployment package and cscfg. All the diagnostics configuration is contained within the
wadcfgx. The advantage with this approach is that diagnostics agent and settings are decoupled from the project and can be dynamically enabled and updated even after your application is deployed.
Due to this change some existing workflows need to be rethought – instead of configuring the diagnostics as part of the application that gets deployed to each environment you can first deploy the application to the environment and then apply the diagnostics
configuration for it. When you publish the application from Visual Studio this process is done automatically for you. However if you were deploying your application outside of VS using PowerShell then you have to install the extension separately through
PowerShell.
There PowerShell cmdlets for managing the diagnostics extensions on a Cloud Service are -

Remove-AzureServiceDiagnosticsExtension
You can use the Set-AzureServiceDiagnosticsExtension method to enable diagnostics extension on a cloud service. One of the parameters on this cmdlet is the XML configuration file. This file is slightly different from the diagnostics.wadcfgx file. You can
create this file from scratch by either following the article that you are referring to or you can modify the wadcfgx file and pass in the modified file as a parameter to the powershell cmdlet.
To modify the wadcfgx file –
Make a copy the .wadcfgx.

Effectively you are stripping down the Wadcfgx to only contain the <PublicConfig> section and the <?xml> header. You can then call the PowerShell cmdlet along with the appropriate parameters for the staging slots and roles:

Service Registry XSD dynamic reference not working

I have published an employee canonical schema to service registry. I have referenced it in my BPEL in my wsdl file as follows

I have deployed the BPEL and is working fine. When I updated the service registry to point to the lastest version of canonical file , the BPEL is not reflecting to the new version. I have bounced both bpel server and reg. service but still no difference.

I am having trouble making the BPEL and Systinet to work together. I have Systinet and BPEL installed separately on 2 different servers. I deployed my web services and registered them in UDDI. I created a new BPEL process and added a partner link to refer to one of the web service I have registered in UDDI. When I create the partner link, it is forcing me to give the wsdl and it also gives an error message " There are no partner link types defined in current wsdl. Do you want create that will by default create partner link type for you?". If I say "NO' then deployment fails. If I say "Yes", then it creates a new wsdl file on the local server etc and gives "<Faulthttp://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/>

Dynamically reference :old.column_ name in trigger

I am writing an application for which i would like to include a limited audit trail.
I have a form that is based on a table with approx 100 columns and wish to write the :old.column_name value on fields that have been updated, along with userid and date/time to an "audit" table.
I think that I can do this by using the Before_update trigger and then the IF UPDATING ('column name') condition. However, for maintenance and readabiility, I wish to be able to dynamically reference the :old.column_name value, which I cannot get working.
I know it can be done with a large IF statement, but due to the number of columns involved, this can lead to a maintenance nightmare. Also, if I can get this working, I want to include the procedure in a library for other applications, thus the need for dynamically referencing the table and column names.
My proposed logic for the before_update trigger is:
Declare Vcolumn_name Varchar2(50)
Get column names for table (using select cursor)
loop through cursor
Vcolumn_name := column name
IF UPDATING (Vcolumn_name) then
insert userid, timestamp, :old.Vcolumn_name into audit table
end IF
next cursor row
:old.Vcolumn_name is where I am having trouble.

The pre-update trigger won't store the value of the old.column . If you are querying the data and then updating then use the POST-QUERY trigger to store the current values in global variables. In the PRE-UPDATE trigger assign the global variables to the columns of the audit tables.
For instance in the PRE-FORM trigger initialize the global variables :

:GLOBAL.VAR2 := ' ';
In the POST-QUERY trigger
:GLOBAL.VAR1 := :BLOCK.COLUMN1;
:GLOBAL.VAR2 := :BLOCK.COLUMN2;
In the PRE-UPDATE trigger
INSERT INTO AUDIT_TABLE (COL1, COL2)
VALUES(:GLOBAL.VAR1, :GLOBAL.VAR2);

How do i dynamically reference the contents of an item in a where clause

I have a select statement that references an item i.e. 'where sysdate=:diary.day1' at the moment, however i want to use this select to loop through every day of the week, so on the fist record it will change depending on where you are in the loop either 'where sysdate=:diary.day1' or 'where sysdate=:diary.day2' etc. I tried using a variable for this but it just uses the characters ':diary.day1' and not the contents of this item.

Not sure what you want but dynamic reference the content of an item may be done with NAME_IN builtin.
WHERE sysdate = TO_DATE( NAME_IN(var), 'fmt')
where var is a variable which contain item name, for example 'DAIRY.DAY1'
P.S. SYSDATE function contain not only date but time portion too.
So very little chances that this equation will be true

How can I create dynamic tagnames for an xmlelement?
For example The department names below are values in the database table

Dynamic reference to buttons

Hi all,
I'd like to make dynamic references to togglebuttons (I'm using netbeans). In pseudo code, I would like to be able to do something like:

With classes, it seems to me that I could use Class.forName, but I have no idea how to make this work for an interface element, and I can't find it on the web.

You can't invoke methods on bits of String as if they were references to objects. (Java isn't like PHP in this regard.)
You can, however, use arrays as db suggested.
Let's say I have a hundred toggle buttons. I might give them names like "okButton" "exitButton" etc. Or I might make them elements of an array of buttons, buttonArr.
And I have a method toggle(int) that accepts an integer as input and verifies that the argument is within the range 1 to 100, throwing an exception if it is not. This method is intended to select the toggle button that corresponds to the integer it receives as input as selected. So the method would be implemented as
buttonArr.setSelected(true);

Not directly. But why would you? Don't you see a pattern in the generated ID's? Did you check the generated HTML output? If this problem is Javascript related, are you familiar with the 'this' reference?

because I have other restriction, so I create two restricted key figure..
RK1 with restriction : Total Number of Note,
RK2 with restriction : Total Opening Days ,
then I Created a calculated key figure, average opening days in a period
CK1 = RK2 / RK1..
in this case, I am not sure if it will work or not..
for example, during RK2 calclation, it might be this   2+3 = 5, the line with 0 will be ignored..
during RK1 calcualtion, it might be 1 + 1 + 1 = 3. ---> Not sure in this case, the line with opening days 0 will be calculated or not..

ASA 5505 -Can I use outside dynamic IP for webserver DMZ?

I have basic license, using only three vlans (outside, inside, DMZ).
QUESTION:
I want to find a way (if possible) to use the single DYNAMIC IP (dhcp'd from ISP) on the "outside" interface, as a means to setup a web-server on the DMZ? I just want to allow my WHS-2011 (server) to talk to microsoft's free DDNS service where my domain name is hosted (ports 80,443,4125).
So far, every setup option I have tried does not make it past the implicit deny acl's (on the outside interface) to the web-server (DMZ).
I understand that the VLAN1 (inside) had to be disabled. I understand that objects now replace some of the older NAT'd components.

As an interim alternative, I have been able to setup & connect to the ASA using clientless vpn (web-ssl), and from there getting over to my WHS2011 server...-but the problem is, I have no way of knowing, or updating my DDNS once that IP changes since the ASA keeps blocking the return traffic to theh outside interface. My only assumption is that becasue I am using a single dynamic IP (outside interface) that it has nothing to re-direct the traffic to....???

I cant really help with the DDNS portion but I would imagine you already have that sorted out.
The ASA configurations however seem a bit off to me.
Here is what you should configure
STATIC PAT TO HOST SERVICES
There are some changes that need to be done to both ACL and NAT configurations. First of the NAT configurations for each port require their own "object network" to be configured.
Also since you are using a DHCP address from the ISP to act as the NAT address then you can use the keyword/parameter "interface" in the actual "nat" command. This basically tells the ASA that it should use whatever IP address is currently on the "outside" interface of the ASA. So you wont have to configure any separate "object network" for the public IP address every time it changes.
Also, with regards to the ACL configurations. You should only configure one ACL per interface in the "in" direction. So all the rules you need to configure for traffic inbound from the Internet need to be in the same ACL that you then attach to the "outside" interface with the command "access-group"

DYNAMIC PAT FOR LANs and DMZs
The above NAT configurations only handles the NAT for situations where the remote hosts on the Internet contact your DMZ server.
If you want to configure Dynamic PAT for all your LAN and DMZ users which basically enable them to use the "outside" interface public IP address for Internet traffic, then you could configure this single "nat" configuration
nat (any,outside) after-auto source dynamic any interface
This would enable Dynamic PAT for all users behind the ASA
I am not sure if you will run into problems since you are using a single public IP address and trying to forward TCP/443. This port is both used for SSL VPN and ASDM management of the ASA.
If you want to change the default port of the ASDM management you can use this command
http server enable
If you want to change the default port of SSL VPN you can use these commands
webvpn
port
Naturally before doing either of the above changes, make sure that you are not relying to them for management purposes if something was to go wrong. If you have SSH management access to the ASA then it should naturally be ok.
I am not sure if all of the above are enough to get your setup working but it should be the basics. Naturally if there is still problems after the above suggestions it might be helpfull to see the current ASA configurations. For example NAT might not work if the ordering of NAT rules is wrong even though the actual configurations are otherwise valid.

Get Specific References for all Controls

Using slightly modified code from here, I am generating an array of all control references on my main front panel which is then passed through to a number of subVIs. Although this functionality does work, it would be preferable to get specific references to the controls (for example, Boolean RefNum instead of Control RefNum).
Getting these specific references seems possible using To More Specific Class and Class Specifier constants. However, data storage becomes an issue because I can no longer use arrays (as they are a different data type). I am not sure if there is another way to pass this data on. I have experimented casting the RefNums to Variants, but to get the data from the variant, I have to know what RefNum type I am expecting which sort of defeats the purpose of doing this in the first place.
A secondary problem is keeping the names of the references. The Control RefNums do not have names associated with them nor do I know how to assign names to them. I've again tried using variants and using the OpenG Set Data Name function, but this crashes LabVIEW without any indication of why.
I've attached a version of my code that tries assign names using OpenG Set Data Name and build a variant array. To run it, simple add the VI as a subVI to a VI that has some boolean controls on the Front Panel. Apologies for the rough state of the code - I'm still in the process of figuring out how to make it work so things are a bit messy.

I don't know if you'll get much better. There is really no way I know of to have some fully flexible way of building named clusters of references based on any given front panel set you feed to it.
I tend to do things the manual way (as there are also a bunch of references to front panel elements I wouldn't need). I would do all the bundling work in a subVI.
I'm attaching a zip file that contains the key VI's (unless I missed something) on the first project where I really tried to abstract out the reference building. The files are LV9.
On my main VI, I have the subVI called Build UI References early in the VI during an initialization phase. I pass the reference to the main VI into that subVI that builds all the references. I worked it as a master cluster that contains elements that are arrays of references of related controls. It uses another subVI called Get References and Label Names that I created to help find controls. I still need to use More Specific Class to get the property references, but I don that only once at the beginning. I then pass that cluster wire out and to anywhere in my VI that would need access to the references for front panel elements.
I use arrays of strings to supply the names I need to build and bundle the references. This lets me ignore controls I don't care about. The disadvantages to my system is that if I change the name of any control, I need to update the name within this subVI. And if I want to add any controls, not only do I need to add the label names for the searching functions, I also need to update my typedef cluster (and you definitely want this to be a typedef) to add a spot to store the new reference.
I hope this gives you some ideas. It worked for me and I will likely use the scheme on another project (or even rewrite past projects using this scheme.) If there are any ideas for improvements, I'd be happy to hear them.

Getting Menu Reference for a VI other than the current one

Is there any way to get a Menu reference for a VI that isn't the current VI? There's Current VI's Menubar, but that only works on the current VI. I'd like something that does the same thing, but accepts a VI reference to a higher-level VI. I would expect to find a Property Node entry for it, but there doesn't seem to be one. This is for 8.2.

You can store the Menu Reference to a global variable for example, and you can read it, in any vi you want, just like all variables.
Note: Do not try to use a property note. Use the menu functions
