Dynamic Screen on OO ALV

Hi All,
I have generated an Editable ALV Report. Added one custom button on ALV toolbar. When I click this button, I should get a popup screen, this screen should contain all the Coloumns that are selected on the ALV.
for Example, I have an ALV output, with Matnr, MAktx,werks on the output. Now I select the coloumn Maktx and click on new button, my screen should contain only Maktx field and it should be ready to take the new value.
If I select two coloumns maktx and werks and click on new button of ALV toolbar, my pop screen should be ready to take 2 values.
Can any one please tell me how to design this screen, and call the screen.

Change Layout in Selection Screen for OO ALV-Grid

Hello everyone,
I got a problem regarding layouts for objectoriented ALV Grid. I want to make it possible that user can take the layout for ALV he wants to on the selection screen. So far thats no problem and it works. But there are some little problems which I do not know how to fix them. But first the facts:
(1) I got my parameter for layout
PARAMETER: p_vari TYPE disvariant-variant.
(2) I fill my global layout structure in initialization

This works all fine but I got some problems when using default variants/layouts. For example I got a default variant only for me. When starting the selection screen it works fine that the default layout was written. It is displayed automatically in the variant parameter. But I want that if i I empty the content (blank it out) from my variant parameter, that report should start with "normal" layout how it was written in the report and NOT with default layout.
When I clear the gs_variant it works like I want it, but then the alv layout button looks like (without functions for layout), because I do not have the reference to my report.
So what to do? :-)

I did not use this parameter in set table method but now I fill it dynamically.
Ok next problem, one step harder ;-)
Now I have one selection screen for one ALV-Grid, but four radio buttons which control with which data the ALV gets filled (four different fieldcats, data tables and so on). Each Grid got an own HANDLE so that the layouts can be separated in four categories.
Now I want that by changing the radio button the individual standard layout for the chosen alv grid is getting filled.
This works fine when using it in selection screen output.

But unfortunately selection screen output is getting passed by EACH changing in the selection screen. This means when I try to clear the default layout in my parameter field, it gets refilled automatically with default layout. If I do a condition around the filling (only if not initial) the default value filling does not work fine in every case, e.g. when clearing the parameters field and then change the radiobutton -> then it does not get filled automatically.

How to create dynamic screen using module pool programming

Hi,
Could anybody help me how to create dynamic screens?
I am developing a screen with HR Person with assignment info. If PERNR have multiple assignments, i need to show all the details one by one. How to show the details on screen. I need to call one by one assignment information dynamically.
Please suggest me how to do, apart from using table controls.

Dynamic header in oo alv print_top_of_page based on current line

I would expect this to be a common problem with the solution easily to google/find, but somehow...
dynamic header generation during alv print_top_of_page:
- i print an oo alv grid, sorted by kunnr
- for each new kunnr a new page
-> now I want during print-out to: at each top of page, read the first (or any) line of the current page, i.e. the current kunnr, and select data on basis of that kunnr to be written to the header.
My problem is that sy-tabix is not being filled correctly (always 1).
Strange thing is that in another report with a non-dynamic itab to display, sy-tabix is actuall being filled more or less correctly. (with the minor drawback that on the first page the tabix might not be 1 but more likely to be 2; but that's easy to fix and for the next pages sy-tabix is correct)

In the handle_print_top_of_page method, use :

So in <lv_line> you will always have the good index of your table.

Print Selection Screen Parameters in ALV report only once

Does anyone know how to print the selection screen within a ALV report.
I've tried everything. I have the code to capture the selection parameters into a internal table. I can use top_of_page but I only want it printed once.

If you have captured the selection screen entries in an internal table, then you could display it once by using the BLOCK LIST ALV.
Check the function module.
REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY
Using this function module more than 1 alv could be display in the report.
In our case ..there will be two alvs ...one for the selection screen n other for the main report output.
Check the following example on the block List ALV....

Screen Text in ALV selection screen

A user has asked me to add some text at the bottom of a selection screen in an ALV report program. In se80 I double clicked the screen (1000) and then went into the layout and added a text field with some text in it. The system then requested a transport and added a LIMU DYNP screen object to it. The only other object in the transport is the Report Source Code.
When I run the transport to another system the new text fields disappear from the screen object although double clicking the screen object in the transport shows they are there.
Any ideas why they disappear??

I have tried selection-screen comment but there appears to be a limit to the size of the text string (83) and this is not long enough for our purpose as the next needs to go right accross the page. Thanks for replying.

Using Dynamic SQL to populate ALV

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to use the Runtime Type Services to obtain the structure definition for the results a dynamic select statement?
I am looking to create a simple web dynpro app that that will populate an ALV grid with the results of a SQL Select statement that has been manually typed in by a user. Is there an easy way to do this without having to pull apart the relevant details from (column_syntax), (from_syntax) etc.. in order to create a dynamic type that the ALV Data Node will be mapped to?

It is the result table that I am actually interested in. I know how to build the actual SELECT statement from user input but I'm struggling to capture the results into a table without having to define the result table structure first (i.e. in order to implement the 'INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE' clause). If I could somehow capture the results into a generically defined table and then use CL_ABAP_TABLEDESCR to get the actual line structure, I could then build the Context Node that will be mapped to the ALV Data interface node.
What I am trying to avoid, if at all possible, is having to deconstruct the actual SQL statement in order to pull out the parts that I would have to use to get RTTS to manually create a custom descriptionfor the results table.
Is this possible?
I have also come across classes in the SDB_ADBC package which look that they could possibly do the job. However, my understanding is that these use Native SQL rather then Open SQL.

How to handle dynamic screens in bdc

i am working on BDC for CA02 in this i have probelm that if operation 10 it doesnot contains any items it showing one screen and if operation 10 contain some items

like above in this if row one of column contains 'x' then if i want to fill sub item then it display i one screen EX 100 else if it dsplay screen 200(ie item 10 already contains subitems it display x in one row column(i.e selected check box) else it show unselected check box.plz tell how to know wheather check box is selected or not from screen to .plz tell.

For BDC we Use CTU_params for adjusting the Screen resolution.
Check table CTU_PARAMS and field DEFSIZE for setting fixed line of table control.

Default size will play good role in terms of resoultion. in one system in table control you can see 10rows, but in others system it will show 20 records. it depends on resoultion. but when you set the default size then it will take same (default screen size) in all the systems when you run BDC.
In session method under BDC_INSERT,you need to handle
CTU_PARAMS for setting screen resolution
For ALV Reports follow the Procedure Given Below
Try the following for your screen which holds the container.
Set the screen with and height to the max. extent possible. (screen attributes)
place the custom controller on the screen and expand it to the full screen width and height.
Set the custom control attributes:
by selecting the check box for resizing vertical, horizontal and set the min lines and min columns to 1.

Dynamic screen field values

Hi,
One quick question, I have created a screen with reference to a custome table fields and it is working fine. When I enter values for the first time, the values look ok in debug but when I change the values on the screen, the new values are not updated in the screen fields in debug. Old values are shown in the debug.
I guess there is some kind of logic to do this. Like using the dynamic screen fields read or ....
Can someone help me on this?

when u first enter the values, they get into the work area related to the screen fields.....
but when u change the values, they dont get changed in the workarea associated with the fields. since the data does not get updated in the fields, it wont show in the debugging mode. so chk ur code and make sure u update the data in the variables associated with the fields.

Hello Everyone!!! I am having tough times solving query on Dynamic Screen Resolution in J2ME. How can you create an application in J2ME that automatically adjusts to the screen resolution to the phone it is being installed. That means if the resolution is small the layout automatically adjusts to the screen resolution and if its bigger then accordingly... Please help....
