Dynamically altering JSP name

Okay, here is my little problem:
I have a Servlet that takes a bytearray and a MIME type and returns it as the binary object. I use it for example for displaying dynamic graphics in web pages. Now, I am doing the same for downloading a dynamically generated ZIP file. The way I do it is linking to a JSP, which then generates the ZIP bytearray and redirects to the servlet. Everything works fine.
However, I would like to change the filename, since the download dialog always wants to store it as download.jsp where I would like a .zip extension to make it stupid-user safe. Is there any way to do this? There must be, since in the past I have used OpenCMS which allowed generation of JSPs with any kind of extension, internally added a .jsp and then sent it to the browser without the .jsp.
Thanks for any hints,
Matthias

You can change the default filename using a HTTP response header:
response.setHeader("Content-Disposition","attachment; filename=\"filename.zip\"");If I understand your situation correctly this should fix it. I'm not 100% sure about those double quotes around the filename though, if it doesn't work remove them and try again.

    and in my jsp :
    // Must set the content type first
    res.setContentType("text/html");
    code = req.getParameter("code");
    example = req.getParameter("entree_text");
    PrintWriter out = res.getWriter();
    // The Servlet send to the Browser the informations to format the language type
    out.println("<html><head><title>Hello World!</title><meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; charset="+code+"\"></head>");
    // System recover the general Character encoding
    String reqchar = req.getCharacterEncoding();
    out.println("<body><h1>Hello MultiLingual World!</h1>");
    out.println("You have defined an ISO of : "+code);
    out.println("<BR>This is the code of the page that is displayed in this page<BR>");
    out.println("<BR>");
    out.println("<BR>");
    out.println("Character encoding of the page is : "+reqchar);
    out.println("<BR>This is the character code in the Servlet");
    out.println("<BR>");
    out.println("<BR>");
    out.println("<BR>");
    out.println("You have typed : "+example);
    out.println("<BR>");
    out.println("");
    out.println("</body></html>");
    I think starting from this example it is surely easy to modify dynamically the jsp.
    The other possibility would be to use the Weblogic Commerce and the LOCALIZE function, so that you'll have an automatic redirection to the right jsp-encoding depending on the customer's language.
    Feel free to reply on the forum for any related issue.

    Shoudl we raise any other components? Maybe you know note, which resolve this problem?

  • Dynamic Receiver file name in AS2 adapter

    Hi Experts,
    How to get dynamic receiver file name in AS2 adapter. We need receiver file name same as of sender file name.
    We tried selecting dynamic attributes file name but we are getting followin error in CC.
    Message processing failed. Cause: javax.resource.ResourceException: Fatal exception: com.seeburger.xi.connector.queue.TaskBuildException: Mandatory attribute dtAS2FileName is not present in XI message., Mandatory attribute dtAS2FileName is not present in XI message.
    Thanks,
    Hari

    hi hari,
    You can't do it manually. As both adapter are in different context.
    You can go with UDF to slove ur problem.
    Just extract the input file name using Dynamic configuration
    Store that in some variable.
    Use same name in the dynamic file name in AS2 receiver. Below code might be useful.
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://seeburger.com/xi/common/dtAS2FileName", "DYNFILENAME");
    conf.put(key,strfilename);
    Thanks

  • How to dynamically set the name of the generated PDF file sent by email

    Hello,
    I am using Reports 10g and I managed to send PDF reports by email, specifying the recipient, subject, format etc, using the reports servlet URL.
    But there is one thing that I cannot find a way to do: I want to dynamically set the name of the attached file. It defaults to the name of the RDF file (eg monthly_sales.pdf). I would like it to be something more meaningful (eg monthly_sales_072010.pdf, where 072010 is the month and year passed by parameters).
    Is it possible to do it?
    Thanks

  • Dynamic Global Host Name!!!

    Hello Everybody!

    then i have to setup the Dynamic Global Host Name, this is my problem?
    how can i get the Dynamic Global host Name?
    Is it from ISP?
    is it supported by some regions? or all over the countries?
    if so, is it supported in Egypt?
    i gave a try and i contact my ISP (Vodafone) but they didnt hear anything or even know anything about the Dynamic Global Host Name. If from ISP, what could i tell them to understand me?
    because when i asked about DGHN, no one understand me.
    Thank you for your help,
    Sincerely,,,

    That sounds backwards. The public IP address 196.168.0.4 is administered out of Mauritius, which should make what you see a WAN address. An IP address 10.0.1.1 is a "private" IP address, which you'd expect to see in a LAN behind a NATting router.
    (Back to My Mac isn't working properly because you may have more than one device on your network providing Network Address Translation (NAT). Try disabling NAT on one of the devices )
    As it says, that means that you are behind multiple layers of routers providing translation of network addresses. Can you tell what WAN address is being assigned to your ADSL modem/router? I'd still try to put that device into "bridge" mode.

    May be a rude way .. but it works.
    Add narrative view and use Java script to change the column headings based on the variables.
    <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
    var a = document.getElementById('idResultsTableParent');
    var rows= a.getElementsByTagName('tr');
    rows[1].cells[1].innerText ="@{Presentation Variable}";

  • Creating dynamical flat file name in mapping?

    Hi.
    I know about the variations on how to use an input parameter and/or sysdate to create a dynamic output file name in a mapping.
    My challenge is nearly the same, but I cannot make OWB generate the correct code.
    Problem:
    - got a one column table that holds an identifier in a string field
    - got a function that reads and returns said identifier
    - imported function into OWB
    - trying to use the function call in the Flat File Operator's Target Data File Name, e.g. fixedfilename||fn_get_id()||sysdate||'.ext
    OWB creates the code:
    UTL_FILE.FOPEN(
    'my_location',
    'fixedfilename'||fn_get_id()||'_'||SYSDATE||'.ext',
    'w',
    32767
    However, when compiling the package code, it returns the warning:
    ORA-06550: PACKAGE BODY, line 2214, column 29: PLS-00201: identifier 'FN_GET_ID' must be declared
    which results in an error when trying to execute the mapping.
    I've tried substituting the function call in the FOPEN call:
    myId := fn_get_id();
    UTL_FILE.FOPEN(
    'my_location',
    'fixedfilename'||myId||'_'||SYSDATE||'.ext',
    'w',
    32767
    and this works fine, the mapping creates a file with the desired filename. But obviously not a good solution rewriting the generated code all the time....
    Anyone solved something similar?
    Could I use an input parameter and the autogenerated function GET_<PARAMETER>?
    But can I set the value of an input parameter inside the very same mapping?
    Regards,
    -Haakon-

    (It always helps writing out one's problems...)
    I managed to get it working :-)
    Added an input parameter to the mapping, and gave the outgroup variable a default value by calling my imported function.
    Then concatenated the implicitly generated function (GET_PARAMETER) in the Target Data flat file name.
    I now have a target file name that changes according to a departement id stored in a parameter table.
    Regards,
    -Haakon-

  • Dynamic attribute file name

    Hi All,
              I am trying to use dynamic attribute file name using UDF in message mapping:
    <i>String filename = null;
    filename = "Yahoo";
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key1 = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://seeburger.com/xi/common" , "dtSubject");
    conf.put(key1,filename);
    return "";</i>
    But its just giving me the name on the receiver side as in the sender side.
    I have checked FileName in Dynamic attributes in the reciever adapter.
    Regards,
    XIer

    your return statement looks like <i>return "";</i>
    Return the filename that you have assigned inside the UDF and can be achieved by
    conf.put(key1,filename);
    <b>return filename;</b>

  • Dynamic form input name

    Hi,
    My brain is frozen or something because I couldn't think out this issue.  Basically my form input radio name and value are dynamically pulled from a database.  The name of the form is concat with a name and id is from a database.  On the form processing side, how would I get all the dynamic input radio name.  The value of the input will be attach to the name.  Hope that make sense.
    form.cfm
    <cfquery name="get_form_name" datasource="#ds#">
         SELECT id, name
         FROM records
    </cfquery>
    <cfoutput>
    <form action="form_process.cfm">
    <cfloop query="get_form_name">
    <p>name: <input type="radio" name="test_#get_form_name.id#" value="#get_form_name.name#" /></p>
    </cfloop>
    <input type="submit" value="submit">
    </form>
    </cfoutput>
    form_process.cfm
    somehow get all the input name from the FORM to set cfparam and value.  Once I have this, i have the form values that are passing over.

    Your requirement is that you want the application to remember the name of a query variable across multiple page requests. That is a typical case where you would use the session scope.
    Following your example,
    form.cfm
    <cfquery name="get_form_name" datasource="#ds#">
         SELECT id, name
         FROM records
    </cfquery>
    <cfset session.formRecords = structNew()>
    <form action="form_process.cfm" method="post">
    <cfoutput query="get_form_name">
    <p>name: <input type="radio" name="test_#id#" value="#name#" /></p>
    <cfset session.formRecords["test_#id#"] = name>
    </cfoutput>
    <input type="submit" name="sbmt" value="submit">
    </form>
    form_process.cfm
    <!--- The names and values of the form fields are stored, respectively, as key-value pairs in the structure session.formRecords--->
    <cfdump var="#session.formRecords#">
    Remarks
    1) I simplified the code somewhat. I also added post method to the form, as I assume that is what you are aiming for. Otherwise the form fields will be submitted via the URL.
    2) It seems to me the database table holds rows having distinct values of ID . Therefore, my guess is that the functionality you should be going for is <input type="checkbox"> instead of <input type="radio">.

  • How to get calling jsp name?

    We are implementing iStore 12.1.3
    We have a jsp which can be called from multiple jsps. When the jsp is processed, navigation should go back to the calling jsp.
    Is there any in-built API which provides calling jsp name?
    Please advise urgently.
    Thanks in advance

    Is it a custom jsp or seeded jsp?
    you can go back to previous page programmatically, only if previous page reference is passed thru request object
    if it is seeded jsp, you will need to check if calling jsp is passing the name of page to destination page through request object.
    if it is custom jsp, introduce code like below on all the source/calling JSPs.
    <input type=hidden name="fromRef" value="<%=IBEUtil.htmlEncode("<name of page>")%>">
    and on processing page, write code to forward to fromRef.
    e.g. <jsp:forward page="<%=request.getParameter("fromRef")%>"/>

    Prashant,
    You can't have the page name change dynamically. The only option left is to create duplicate pages with different names and apply object level security based on different grps.
