Dynamically populating a row repeater

Hi,
I have a requirement  wherein in the UI i have to populate a link with a delete icon for each of the selected(multiple via f4) records. This would be 0..n. The row reaptor should have 2 columns. The contents are generated on the fly as and when the records are selected. In the Webdynpro view we jst have a transparent container and a button.
     Can anyone suggest how do we go  about this? [I also tried using a row repeater ui element in the view but it actually repeats the same row :).  ]
Regards,
Abhay

I hope you already created table column with link_to_action UI element as cell editor and created another attribute in the context node which is binded to your table UI element.
You just need to bind the imageSource property with the newly created context attribute.
In the event handler of the onSelect of the table.
get the lead selected element and set the new attribute to value 'ICON_DELETE'

  • Dynamic population issue with repeated sub form

    I have a subform that populates a dropdown from another subform on a prior page. In the Enter event on the subform I have the following script:
    Drop Down 1
    this.clearItems();
    this.rawValue = null;
    this.fontColor = "0,0,0";
    var nCount = Subform3.Subform2.Subform1.instanceManager.count;
    console.println("nCount: " + nCount);
    for (var i=0; i<=nCount; i++)
    var vFld = xfa.resolveNode("Subform3.Subform2.Subform1[" + i + "]");
    var vItem = vFld.RiskNo.rawValue;
    this.addItem(vItem.toString());
    A second drop down is also populated in the PostOpen event on the subform with the following script:
    Drop Down 2
    this.clearItems();
    this.rawValue = null;
    this.fontColor = "0,0,0";
    var sf1 = Subform3.Subform2.resolveNodes ("Subform1[*]");
    for ( var i = 0; i < sf1.length; i++)
    if (CTPData.RiskRow.Risk.rawValue == sf1.item(i).RiskNo.rawValue)
      var controlsf = sf1.item(i).resolveNodes ("Controls.Control[*]");
      for ( var j = 0; j < controlsf.length; j++)
       var wInput = controlsf.item(j).ContNo.rawValue;
       this.addItem(wInput.toString());
    I then populate a text field with values based on drop down selections with the following Exit Event scripts:
    Exit Event Drop Down 1 to populate text field 1
    var sf1 = Subform3.Subform2.resolveNodes ("Subform1[*]");
    for (var i = 0; i < sf1.length; i++)
    if (CTPData.RiskRow.Risk.rawValue == sf1.item(i).RiskNo.rawValue)
       var wInput = sf1.item(i).RiskInput.rawValue;
       CTPData.RiskRow.RiskTxt.rawValue =(wInput);
       CTPData.ControlsRow.ControlTxt.rawValue = "";
    Exit Event Drop Down 2 to populate text field 2
    var sf1 = Subform3.Subform2.resolveNodes ("Subform1[*]");
    for ( var i = 0; i < sf1.length; i++)
    if (CTPData.RiskRow.Risk.rawValue == sf1.item(i).RiskNo.rawValue)
      var controlsf = sf1.item(i).resolveNodes ("Controls.Control[*]");
      for ( var j = 0; j < controlsf.length; j++)
    if (CTPData.ControlsRow.Control.rawValue == controlsf.item(j).ContNo.rawValue)
       var wInput = controlsf.item(j).ControlInput.rawValue;
       CTPData.ControlsRow.ControlTxt.rawValue =(wInput);
    These scripts work absolutely perfect for the first instance of the subform they are on.  On added instances of the subform however, the drop downs work but the populate text fields from the selected values do not.
    I am sure I am missing something simple but I can’t find it.
    I would greatly appreciate any pointers I could get.
    Thanks,
    Eagle

    I actually tried that with the same results.  It seems to me that the issue is that
    var wInput = controlsf.item(j).ControlInput.rawValue;
    CTPData.ControlsRow.ControlTxt.rawValue =(wInput);
    on the repeated subform has a different CTPData.ControlsRow.ControlTxt.  something like CTPData.ControlsRow.ControlTxt(0). but I don't understand enpough about repeated subform values to figure it out.
    Thanks,
    Eagle

  • Dynamic Tables in PDF - repeating Header row in all pages

    Hi ,
          I have created a dynamic table in PDF, When I add rows, the table is spanning to next page, and I should get the header row in all pages. But, I am getting the header row only for the 2nd page(In Header row properties, I have choosed the header row to be displayed in all pages). I need the Header row to be displayed in all pages.

  • Header Row Repeating Erratically

    Hi,
    I have a problem with a dynamic table using Adobe Lifecycle Designer 8.0 and Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.0.
    The table starts with a header row and a single row. The user can add additional rows and the table flows onto multiple pages. Everything appears OK, but when EITHER the user goes back to page 1 or if the user closes and reopens the file, there can be multiple header rows repeated on page 1. Sometimes there might only be 2 header rows, but other times there can be upwards of seven header rows one on top of the other.
    This is wrecking the layout and my head. Has anyone had similar problems or could give me a direction as to where I am going wrong.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I am facing the same issue.
    My table header has 2-3 rows of data...the data is populated dynamically. The text fields are set to expand, so I have to make the subforms to flowed.
    As soon as I set the subforms to Flowed...evrything overlaps on the second page.
    Please help.

  • Dynamically populated dropdown values are missing when instances are added

    HI Team
    I have a subform which is repeatable have  a drop down  as one of the field which is dynamically populated from the web service call(short lived process) from the DB.On initialize event of the subform the data connection is executed .Dropown is populated with the values but when an instance of subform is added the dropdown values are missing.
    Only in the first instance of a subform  dropdown values are showing up , when instances of subform is added the drop down values are missing.
    Please let me how can i solve this issue,
    Thanks in Advance
    Bharathi

    I've tried this option by adding some value (hard-coded) during initialize event of the subform and all values are populated in the newly added instances as well.
    Not sure why it's not working for you.. Can you try adding some sample values without calling web service and confirm if it's working?

  • RTF Header Rows Repeat in eBus BI Publisher (5.6.3)

    Hi,
    I have been struggling to get the Header Rows Repeat functionality working when generating RTF output with the eBus integrated BI Publisher - currently eBus 11.5.10.2 with ATG H RUP 7. The "How to Determine the Version of Oracle XML Publisher for Oracle E-Business Suite 11i and Release 12" Note (362496.1) doesn't provide anything more specific than 5.6.3. Based on the "Naming and Versioning" sticky note from Tim, I think this is equivalent to 10.1.3.2.
    According to http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10415_01/doc/bi.1013/e10416/bip_misc_101333.htm, this functionality is not available until BI Publisher 10.1.3.3.3.
    To "Overview of Available Patches for Oracle XML Publisher (embedded in Oracle E-Business Suite)" Note (1138602.1) does not list any stand alone patch which seems to be refer to this functionality.
    Can someone tell me if this Header Rows Repeat in RTF output functionality available with the eBus integrated BI Publisher? Or do I need to log an SR?

    Hi Tim,
    Thanks for that - the 7487412 readme doesn't say anything about the RTF header bug fix being included, but the Bugs Resolved by this Patch lists 6270261 (ER: RTF Output to support set Table Header Report, Table Row Keep-Together).
    Patch # 7487412 is only available in R12, but with the specific ER number, I was able to find Note # 861915.1 (I couldn't it find with my keyword search) and this note indicates that 11i patch # 7702372 should resolve the problem for me in 11i (and it's readme explicitly documents 6270261 as being fixed by the patch).
    Thanks again,

    Hi
    first u get the index from the context element. with the help of the index u can get that particular element using get element.
    then u remove the element .
    check this code.
    CALL METHOD context_element->get_index

  • Dynamic no of rows in tabular form

    Dear oracle forms experts,
    hope you all will be doing fine.
    Is it possable to that a tabular form take dynamic no of rows at run time, i mean if we i query mode if data contains 20 rows then it should expand to 20 rows and if it is only 5 rown then it should expand to 5 rown. and if i do not want to use side bar as well.
    Regards
    Abbas

    OK and thanks you too.
    now if i take it in this way that i have defied a tabular form for let say 20 rows and now in query mode if there are only 5 records then my form shuold show only first 5 rows that have data and rest 15 should get hidden..
    so now can it be possable in forms Developer 10g.

  • Dynamically populating form -

    I need to make a dynamically populating form - I cannot find the instruction - is there a video on adobe tv? Please help me - I am desperate. Thanks a lot! K_S_

    Hi..
    I think you can do it with ADF .When you click field1 in your form get the value to bean using serverListner.And create method in AMImpl to filter records from TableB by passing your field1 value.make sure to add client interface to this filter method(clientInterface in yourAM.xml) and add it to page using bindings to as methodAction.Then you can show filtered TableB using popoup.

    Hi,
    If you really want to have a dynamic table, then you will have to find a way to generate a whole new table, and then copy the data from the old table to the new one. There is no way to modify a type during runtime in ABAP.

  • Dynamically populated parameter clears previously entered parameters

    Software: Crystal Reports XI with MS SQL Server 2008
    I've created a report that asks for three parameters, 2 dates, and a string which is dynamically populated. The report has two tables added in the database expert.
    The first table is a command object which passes the two date parameters to a stored procedure:
    exec sp_MyStoredProcedure {?startdate},{?enddate}
    The second table is a stored procedure object used to populate the string parameter {?_users}. The criteria for the string parameter are:
    Prompt with Description only: False
    Allow multiple values: True
    Allow discrete values: True
    Allow range values: False
    This stored procedure object requires no parameters, and was originally a view in the database, but it the same problem occurs whether i dynamically populate the string parameter options from either a view or a stored procedure. I'd like to go back to using a view, as i do not need to pass any kind of parameters to the stored procedure
    The string parameter is used for defining the record selection formula:
    IF {Command.user_name} in {?_users} THEN true ELSE false.
    The two tables are not linked in the database expert, but linking them does not seem to solve the problem I am having with this report, the problem being this:
    No matter which order I set the  parameters, it always first displays a form showing only the prompts for the date values. After entering these, it then shows a form prompting for the date values again (the previously selected date information now cleared), along with the list of users from which to select. On this 2nd form, the parameters are displayed in the order I set using the field explorer option presented when I right click on the Paramter Fields heading. After entering the date parameter values a 2nd time, and selecting the users from the  dynamically generated list, the report performs as intended.

    Edited by: Duraplex on Nov 12, 2010 6:57 PM - After contacting the tech dept of my employer, they are applying a service pack update to my installation, I am hoping this resolves the issue. Will post an update as soon as I know more.
    Edited by: Duraplex on Nov 12, 2010 7:35 PM - After applying SP4 to my installation, the problem persists. I did note however that removing the string parameter and record selection formula, and then recreating them, does somewhat solve the issue temporarily - i still am presented with two forms, but the second form doesn't clear the previously entered date parameters. However,  once i save the report, and reload it, the problem manifests again and the date parameters are cleared when presented on the 2nd form. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem?
    Edited by: Duraplex on Nov 15, 2010 8:38 PM - Problem resolved by upgrading from Release 1 to Release 2.

    Hi,
    Once record status gets change for block you can not populate/repopulate the list item. Keep those list items as non-database item with different names and create different items as database orignal items. Than assign the values in WHEN-LIST-CHANGE trigger to the actual database items.

  • Adding an override to enable a monitor for a dynamically populated group has no impact?

    Hello all,
    I have a monitor that I only want to target to a single computer group. The group is dynamically populated.
    My basic approach is that the monitor is disabled by default but enabled with an override for that group. However, the monitor does not appear to be running on those servers (or anywhere else). I was able to confirm this based on the results of running the
    "Show Running Rules and Monitors for this Health Service" task--the overridden monitor does not appear at all in the list of monitors running on the servers in that group.
    I have checked the Operations Manager event log on both the SCOM host and the machines in the group, and have not seen any errors. The monitor being overridden is a PowerShell script monitor, where for script logic issues I have seen that the event log will
    contain information on the error. Nothing appears anywhere to show that the monitor has been enabled for these servers.
    Is there a better way to determine why the monitors would not be running on the servers in the group?
    Thanks!

    Hey Gleb,
    I have validated that the group is being populated and that the monitor's target class matches the class of the group members.
    Checking today, it appears that the monitor has begun running on the members of the group... not sure why there was such a large delay before the monitor began executing on the servers. I still have the dreaded green circles in the health explorer, but have
    narrowed that down to a possible condition in my monitor's PowerShell script where the condition properties are not added to the PropertyBag before the script ends.
    Thanks!

  • Saving dynamically populated pdf forms

    We have forms developed in Live Cycle that are dynamically populated.
    We have extended these forms in Acrobat so that users may save them with the pre-populated data.
    Our issue is that the user must manipulate the form in some manner, such as changing a field, in order for it to be saved with the pre-populated data.
    Is there a way we can enable the user to simply open the form that has been dynamically populated and save it with this data simply by doing a "Save As"?
    Thanks in advance for any help offered~
    ~Chris

    > So, it appears that a server product is necessary to utilize and activate Reader Rights for users... Is this correct?
    No. Acrobat Pro 8 and 9 can activate certain rights, such as saving, which is what you said you did in your original post.
    Like I said earlier, the problem you're experiencing is odd, and may be related to the way the form was created in LiveCycle Designer or the way in which you are populating the form with data. If I were you, I would pose this question in a Designer-related forum. Include the details related to how the form is being dynamically populated. It would also be helpful to be able to look at a document in question.

  • Issue with Row repeater

    Hi All,
    I am using a row repeater UI element to display the results of search. Once the results are displayed the user can navigate to a different page in the row repeater. Lets say the user navigates to page 5. Now when the user goes back and modifies the selection criteria, the row repeater still displays page 5. This time there might be no data in page 5. How can we go back to first page.
    Thanks,
    Pooja

    Hello Pooja,
    I didnt see any method available in the CL_WD_ROW_REPEATED to reset it. Alternative what I can think of is to reset the view elements. But I'm not sure whether this will have impact on you other UI elements. May be you can try this
    1. create a member variable in Attributes tab (MR_VIEW) of type ref to IF_WD_VIEW
    2. in the WDDOMODIFYVIEW, write the following code
    if first_time = abap_true.
       wd_this->mr_view = view.
    endif.
    3. in the search method or in the event handler method for search, call reset_view
    wd_this->mr_view->reset_view( ).
    this method will reset all the UI elements in the view
    other alternative would be to place the Row_Repeater in a transparent container. And during search delete the old row repeater and create a new one and bind the data source.

  • DropDown by Key and Row Repeater

    Hello,
    I 've build a form inside a rowrepeater, inside the form there are several empty drop down by key.
    The key value table of each dropdown by key belong to the selected country grouping (an input field with search help inside the form).
    OnEnter event of the molga field, I call a BL to fill the key value table and get the index of the form (regarding to the dataprovider of my row repeater).
    Here is the structure of my context:
    CONTEXT _
                     |_CTX_COLL (0:N)
                                  |_CTX_DROPDOWN (1:1)
    * --- GET MOLGA --- *
    * navigate from <CONTEXT> to <CTX_COLL> via lead selection
      lo_nd_ctx_coll = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_ctx_coll ).
      lo_nd_ctx_coll->get_static_attributes_table( importing table = lt_ctx_coll ).
      read table lt_ctx_coll into ls_ctx_coll index iv_index.
      lv_molga = ls_ctx_coll-country.
    * --- GET DROPDOWN NODE INDEX REFERENCE --- *
      lv_idx_str = iv_index.
      concatenate 'CTX_COLL.'
                  lv_idx_str
                  '.CTX_DROPDOWN' into lv_path.
      condense lv_path no-gaps.
    * navigate from <CONTEXT> to <CTX_DROPDOWN> via index selection
      lo_nd_ctx_dropdown = wd_context->path_get_node( path = lv_path ).
      lr_node_info = lo_nd_ctx_dropdown->get_node_info( ).
    * --- SET DROPDOWN --- *
      lt_value_set = wd_assist->get_priority( lv_molga ).
    * set values (table) to context attribute
      lr_node_info->set_attribute_value_set(
       name = `PRIORITY`
       value_set = lt_value_set

    well ehrr
    I see two completely different implementations
    the context dropdown must be used with a drop down by INDEX
    the value set must be used wth a dropdown by KEY
    as you have a ddk, it uses the value set
    furthermore, you set the value set on the dropdown context
    try the index one
    I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but try the following option
    you have a node in which your dropdown field resides
    make a subnode with the values for that field
    fill the subnode depending on the selected country (don't forget to invalidate the node when the country changes)
    bind a ddi to the dropdown values in the node
