As already mentioned, you will have to visit a Nokia care point. Bring along a proof of ownership if you have changed the code your self and cannot remember it. The default one should be 12345.

E71 - reset lock code - please help

Hello everyone, i have a problem with my phone, my Nokia E-71. What happen was that i change my lock code back to 12345 and when the phone was lock and i had to put in the lock code to unlock it and i put in 12345 and it said Code Error. So i tried alot of other codes that might work and non of those work. i cannot make a call or anything. all i have on the screen is a blank white screen and i have to put in the Lock Code. is there a way i can reset it without having to send it back to the Nokia Company?.

No, you have to bring it in to a Nokia Care Point.

Locking code to prevent changes

Hello,
I probably already know the answer but I give it a go.
You can disable code (it turns in color green) in Visual Studio Express but is there also a way to "lock" parts of code to prevent changes?

The context is that I'm an independent starting designer. A client first agreed that he doesn't want to make small changes on his own when the website is finished. Now he wants to be able to change a picture or add an event when he likes to do it. The website
could be designed in joomla to make it easier for the client to make changes but I'm looking for a way in Visual Studio to block code so he only will be able to change the items that he wants to. Like a picture for example. So for the moment it's a small scale
solution that I'm looking for.

As the replies above, you could control your code with TFS and GIT. As far as know, I think there is no such a small scale solution in Visual Studio which you want.

No. The view can always be changed by the user (but not the document itself
if you apply a security policy that forbids that).

Nokia 5700 Lock Code Problems

Hi All
This is what I do.
Menu - Settings - Phone Settings - General - Security - Phone and Sim - Lock Code
When I select Lock Code it asks me to enter the Lock Code so I enter ANY number over 5 digits, it asks for a new lock code so I enter 67890 (5 digits), Asks to verify so I re-enter it correctly and I get a code error.
If I repeat this process 5 times it says I've entered the Lock code incorrectly and can't do it again for 5 minutes.
It also asks for this code when I attempt to reset the phone to which I enter 12345 and it errors, plus it asks for the lock code when I try to set up a timed phone lock.
If I enter any 4 digit code it just asks for Lock Code again.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I too attempted to take it to a Nokia Service Centre, who reflashed it but to no avail.
I then took it to an independant mobile repair centre and he was able to resolve the problem.
He advised that the lock code had been changed and they were able to read it (giving me the old code which I didn't recognise) and then resetting it to 0000.
I would have thought the NSC reflash would have resolved this.

Nokia 6120 asks for a lock code (i dont have)

when i tried to put another sim card in my nokia 6120 classic ....it asks me for a lock code
and to change the settings of this i need the lock code....but i still can use the phone by the normal sim card

The reason you will need proof, is because its asking you for a security code, and this might happen if the phone is stolen for example.
So a receipt is the only good proof.
If you dont have any proof of any kind, they may still do it for you, but its purely down to their discretion.

If you have a passcode to the screen lock that you've forgotten, restore the device from the computer to which the device is synced. For information and instructions, see:

If you mean you locked it, you just need to enter your screen lock code, the one you have always used to unlock it after it' seen left a while.

i honestly do not know. this is really frustrating. I am a simple user who mostly just call and text.. i tried to follow the apple instructions in restoring iphones but some time during the process.. my phone restarts and loses the itunes connection symbol and displays the usual apple icon and then proceeds to opening the main page..

The standard code is 12345, but if you've changed it you're in for a trip to the Nokia service centre with your proof of purchase or proof of ownership.
There is no 'back door' to the lock code that you can deal with yourself otherwise everybody would know it and the lock code would be utterly useless as a secutiry feature, so the phone has to be re-flashed completely. Be warned that if you don't have a backup on memory card or PC Suite, your data will all be lost.

There is no other go but to get the code reset at Nokia Care. You need to carry a proof of ownership (Bill / Invoice)
