EBS 12.1.3 integration with ECM 11gR1

Dear All,
I followed the oracle document for integrating EBS R12.1.3 with ECM 11gR1.

As per the document, i need to use bold italic formatted text in CUSTOM.pll file using oracle Forms Builder. But i cant insert bold italic text using pl/sql editor.
Can anyone tell me how to do this?
What is the use of italic bold text?(as per the above document )

Hi,
I am integrating OBIEE 11.1.1.5 with OAM 11gR1 (11.1.1.5).
I have configured as per section 12.3 of following link:

After making all these configurtions, when i access:
http://<OHS server>:<OHS port>/analytics
User is getting prompted for auth from OAM. After successful auth, request gets redirected to WebLogic server hosting the OBIEE app. I have verified in OBI logs that the header value OAM_REMOTE_USER gets passed to OBI.
But even with all this, after successful OAM authentication, user is getting prompted with OBI login page.

I have already make the following configurations as per the documentation:
To enable SSO:
1.Log in to OBIEE at
http://[OBIEE server:port]/em.
2.Click Farm_<OBIEEDomain>_domain > Business Intelligence > Coreapplication.
3.Click the Security tab.
4.Select Enable SSO.
5.Select SSO Provider: Oracle Access Manager.
6.Click Apply and Activate Changes.
Do we need to make some other configurations also at OBIEE EM ?

Appraisals (OSA) - Integration with ECM

Hi
We want to integrate Appraisals (OSA) with Enterprise Compensation Management. Could you plz. let me know what all the settings we need to make in order to send the rating information individually (EE Rating, Mgr. Rating, etc...) to ECM module and also what settings we need to make so that the Compensation of the Appraisees adjusted according to the
rating given by the different people (ex: EE, Mgt etc..).
I mean whenever employee appraises himself and rates there should be a change in the compensation and whenever mgr gives his/her rating again compensation should be adjusted automatically... ultimately whenver the overall rating is given again the compensation should be adjusted automatically.
Could you please help me with the above issue??
We are using ECC 5.0

Thanx for your response. I am sorry I dont think this helps us ..... with the settings mentioned by you it is possible to integration ECM with Appraisals and then we can send the overall appraisal automatically but not each level's ratings. Any thoughts on this issue ?????????

BAM integration with BPM 11gR1

Hi,
I am trying to integrate BPM 11gR1 with BAM starting with a simple scenario as am a newbie with BAM.
The requirement is to generate a report for tracking a BPM process and whenever a new instance of a BPM process is created, the report should be updated and reflect the change.
I have carried out the following steps:
1. Updated the BAM Adapter on the SOA server with the BAM server details (IP,port, credentials)
2. Cleared the "DisableActions" parameter on the EM console for BPM.
3. Created two Business Indicators for the BPM process whose tracking is to be done. Both these indicators are "Dimensions" with Type String. Used an Assign activity inside the BPMN process to populate the values from the request payload.
4. Created a new Data Object in BAM Architect (Inside a new folder created within Samples folder) and added two columns to it corresponding to the business indicators.
5. In the "Project Properties" of the BPM project, enabled the BAM option and provided the path of Data Object as /Samples/NewFolder. And deployed the project.
6. Created a new BAM report using Active Studio of view type "Updating List" and selected the data object created.
Now, the expected outcome is that whenever the BPM process is invoked and it's instance is created, the data should be sent to BAM and the report should be updated with the values of these Business indicators.
But this is not happening and also am not able to track if the data is at all being sent from BPMN process to BAM.
Not sure if missing out something.

You seem to have done all the actions required :
BAM adapter configuration
Disable Actions cleared in EM
BPM process enable for BAM publishing.
Here are a few things you can investigate.
Check the configuration again. Ensure BAM adapter and BPM project preference is pointing to the same JNDI name.
BAM Adapter configuration sometimes require a restart. Please do so , if not already done.
Check if any data showed up in Component DO ? If yes, the problem might just be with the BI DO. Try to send 2-3 instances
Is this PS3 (11.1.1.4.0)? If yes, it will automatically create the BI dataobject for you in Samples folder upon deployment so check under Samples folder if a new DO has been created.
Remember that you need to deploy the process with BAM enabled and BAM server running to get BI data into BAM.
Lastly, check the logs - check bamserver.log , bam-diagnostics.log and Soa/bpm log to get more information.

Session keep Alive when EBS is integrated with OIF acting as SP

We have an E-Business Suite R12(12.1.3) Application which is integrated with Oracle Access Manager 11.1.1.5. For authentication the Oracle Access Manager delegates the authentication request to Oracle Identity Federation acting as a Service Provider (SP). There is a home-grown SSO which acts as the Identity provider by Federating it with OIF using SAML 2.0 protocol.
The integration is successful and EBS is able to authenticate using this third party SSO.
Now there are multiple applications which are integrated with this third party SSO and the user can access any of these applications including EBS.
Considering a scenario where a user is using EBS Application say for more than 30 mins. Now when he tries to login to another application the challenge screen is thrown though he can continue to work on EBS without any issue. The reason being that the session timeout on the IDP side is set to 30 mins.
To overcome this issue the solution that has been thought of using a javascript for each page load on the application which will update the SSO token with the latest UTC time on the IDP server. This has been successfully done for all other applications except EBS.
So my question is how we can call this java script for each page load for EBS?

It appears that OAM is removing the url parameters for the p_done_url sent to it by OIF.
302 Redirect to -> Location: https://sso.mycompany.com/oam/server/logout?p_done_url=https%3A%2F%2Fsso.mycompany.com%2Ffed%2Fuser%2Fsloosso%3Fid%3Dosso%26type%3D3&invokeOSFSLogout=false
Result: 200. Set-Cookie OAM-ID to expired.
Form Submits: https://sso.mycompany.com/fed/user/sloosso
Result: 500 Error
Notice the p_done_url value in the redirect has extra parameters which when the Form is submitted are lost.
If I manually enter the url: https://sso.mycompany.com/fed/user/sloosso?id=osso&type=3&invokeOSFSLogout=false
Then I am successfully logged out.
This seems almost like a bug in OAM...

Discoverer integration with EBS R12 !!!

Hello Sir,
I need help to install/integrate Discoverer with R12.
Actually, our clients are using Discoverer 4i in current EBS 11.5.10.2 in production. We have just upgraded EBS in TEST environment from 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.3.
I had suggested client that Discoverer 4i is actually de-supported and they need to upgrade Discoverer version to minimum 10.1.2.3 or higher to integrate it with R12.1.3.
Now, client also have requirement for Discoverer to be certified with MS Excel 2010 format. So I have suggested to upgrade Discoverer version to minimum 11.1.1.4.
Latest certified Discoverer version is 11.1.1.7.0 as per note Using Discoverer 11.1.1 with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Doc ID 1074326.1)
1) Can you please provide your opinion and any documentation which I can follow to install/integrate Discoverer with R12 ?
2) Do I need to first install separate 10gAS for installing Discoverer 10.1.2.3 or Fusion middleware home for installing Discoverer 11g ? If yes, where can I find doc for this installation ?
3) Since 10g support has ended July 2013, where can I get media for installing 10gAS ?
4) Is there any additional licences required for using either Discoverer 10g or Discoverer 11g ?

Can XML Publisher 5.6.3(EBS) be integrated with APEX?

On the following document, XMP Publisher 5.6.2 does not support integration with APEX. May I know about 5.6.3? Or is it about the product being an add-on with EBS causing the non-support to integration(meaning, even 5.6.3 is not supported)?

APEX integrates with the standalone version of BI Publisher. There was not a server component with the standalone 5.6.3 release. The integration relies on publisher providing a servlet for APEX to communicate with, 5.6.3 does not have this.
If you are talking 5.6.3 under EBS then I guess you could build a servlet on the mid tier that called the BIP conversion APIs - it would all be custom work.
The APEX integration needs 10.1.3.2 BIP to work with out of the box.

Dear all,
I am involved in the implementation of SAP PCP&S along with ECM.
I know that we can crete the scenario and upload the PCP values in ECM for further budget creation and administration.
NOW from integration point of view I need to have the clarification that what is the role of funds management in it.
I mean Funds management can do the same functionality as well on the basis of fund center assigned to cost center. and same does the Budget unit which is linked to ORG unit and Org unit is lined to Cost center.
I would appreciate if some one to tell me the insight of this process.

There is no integration between Funds Management and ECM. Budgeting in ECM is a tool that acts as a control mechanism for the administration process. You can work with budget allocations, monitor spending, link budgets to the plans, implement warning/error messages for out of limit budgets etc.
The budget units are assigned to the org. hierarchy and subsequently made available during the compensation administration process.
If you are using MSS, we have budgeting BSP with all the related processes.
If you want to import custom values or have a customer specific logic, you can use BAdI HRECM00_BDG0001.

Anybody worked on ATG integration with Oracle EBS for Pricing, Inventory and Order Management? I would like get more detail on the approach on the integration.

Have you looked into the error log to see whats the error message ?

Paste your instanceconfig.xml file here, specifically the Auth section
Also elaborate on what are the steps you have followed for Integration so we will be able to help !!

OBIEE 11.1.1.3.0 integrated with Oracle EBS R12

Hi,
I have Oracle EBS Vision Instance v R12.1 installed on Redhat 5 and wanted to install OBIEE latest version. Can some please point to system architecture diagram as i am conflicted with installation. I do not have complete idea but writing here what i actually know.

OBIEE V 11.X on Linux
Now install prepackeged analystical function on windows machine and using BI tool deploy/use them with Oracle EBS.
Please point me to a note which describes the components and what does it take to make up and running in conjuction with Oracle.

EBS Security Integration with BI Publisher

Hi All,
I have few questions regarding integration of EBS Security with BIP. I went through the following document Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher.
and have following questions.
-- Upon on logging on into BIP after integration with EBS should I assign the three roles of BI i.e. BI Administrator, BI Author and BI Conusmer to all EBS roles for catalog permission set up.
Below is my requirement. EBS user logging into BIP
a) Set of Users should have to build reports , publish on dashboard etc.
b)Set of users need only view reports i.e. read only.
c) One User should have Admin privileges.
How do I associated above with EBS roles. Should I assign BI roles to EBS roles in EM and give catalog permissions? Any thoughts will be really appreciated.

Not able to start presentation services during EBS integration with OBI

Hi All,
I ran through an issue while trying to integrate OBIEE 11.1.1.5 with EBS R12. I followed the steps mentioned in the below link

I restarted all the services but i was routed to OBIEE login screen through EBS. Later on i made some changes in connection pool of the repository and started the services but now presentation services are not coming up. i tried restarting all the services from EM and opmnctl but to no avail. i went through sawlog5 and console~coreapplication_obips1~1.log file but not able to find any specific error. Below is the error description from both the files

i did make changes to connection pool but those changes are inevitable. I pointed those connection pools to the new EBS database.
@DPKA : i did make changes to instanceconfig. As a part of OBIEE integration with EBS, i changed instanceconfig.xml and started the services. I didn't bring down the services while making the changes. Did that have any impact on services.

ECM integration with Performance Management

I am trying to integrate the Appraisals with ECM. The required configuration is done in SPRO. The problem which I face is that the number assigned to the appraisal template is different in the development box and in the quality box. I tried to configure external number range for appraisal template but the system still automatically asigns the internal number.
Has any one of you successfully done the ECM integration with Performance Manageemnt? How did you go about the different number issue?

Could not get the number range working. Transported the templates instead.
