  • ECC 5.0 and CRM 7.0 Integration Questions

    Hello,
We are on ECC 5.0 and are part of a global implementation that is putting in CRM 7.0.
We have a couple of issues/questions.
    1.  We want to integrate ECC Internal Orders with CRM Contracts and Orders.  However we don't see the ECC Internal Order type SAPS in ECC 5.0.  What release/plugin would give us SAPS Internal order type
    2.  We currently use CS and PM in ECC, and we have equipment and func. locations.  Do we need to be on a certain version/plugin to integrate Equipment and Func. Locations with CRM iBase?
    3.  Any tips/suggestions on integrating Vertex with CRM for taxes.
    Thanks
    chris

    Hi
    Here are the Answers
    1. We want to integrate ECC Internal Orders with CRM Contracts and Orders. However we don't see the ECC Internal Order type SAPS in ECC 5.0. What release/plugin would give us SAPS Internal order type
    - This is release indepedant- It is been available from R/3 4.7 so you should have it, if you dont have an SAPS order type, you have 2 options
              1. Create your own SAPS Order type
              2. Define RFC from  Client "000" and push the order type. This must be available in "000" as a standard delivery, may be your Basis did not move the order types properly.
    2. We currently use CS and PM in ECC, and we have equipment and func. locations. Do we need to be on a certain version/plugin to integrate Equipment and Func. Locations with CRM iBase?
Yes you can have the equipment and Functional Locations, but for FLocs to download to CRM you need ECC6.0 with Sp6 anything below cannot be integrated or downloaded with CRM7.0 .. for Equipments any versions are fine and you do all configuration and customization in CRM
    3. Any tips/suggestions on integrating Vertex with CRM for taxes.
Its a broad question, SAP provides standard integration option to vertex, and you integrate as needed..
let me know if you need anything else.

  • Install BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP

    Hello.
    I have some problem here.
I have installed "BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1"  on aix 5
using Tomcat 5.5 as web application (install from BO) .
Then I install "BusinessObjects XI 3.1 Integration Kit for SAP"
Before install integration kit I have install Java connector and set it's class path environment.
And also follow the manual  copy the librfccm library and the libsapjcorfc library to /bodev/bobje/enterprise120/aix_rs6000(bodev is the root directory of BO)
When I logon CMC as administrator . Then click Authentication , the SAP authentication isn't appear.
It just show ' Enterprise ' and ' LDAP '.
(But on the CMC logon screen at the authentication drop down list , it has SAP authentication.)
Does I miss something. Please give me some suggestion.
    Thank you.

  • ECC and SCM connection

    Hi folks,
i would like to see ECC and SCM scenarios connected by CIF, how ever HU2(ECC) and HU8 (SCM) systems are not interconnected. let us know whom do we need to contact in this regard.
    Thanks in Advance ...

    Hi Amit,
The ES (emphasis on Enterprise Service or Web Service) Workplace Systems are actually setup for customers or consultants to test drive SAP delivered Enterprise Services, so it stands to reason that integration between these systems would be using web services / SAP Enterprise services for the most part.
Trying to contact someone to configure CIF / ALE integration between HU2 and HU8 is not going to work for you.

  • Communication between ECC and SCM via XI

I am trying to set up the scenario 'Purchase_Order_Processing' between
ECC and SCM using XI. The SCM content for XI has been loaded into XI
and this scenario is included in the content.
    We are running the following:
    ECC - Version 5.0 - 640 SP level 12
    XI - Version 3.0 - 640 SP Level 14
    SCM - 4.10 - 640 SP Level 12
The connectivity between the systems has been set up as described in the configuration guides. On sending an IDOC (basic type ORDERS05) into XI I get the following error message 'Http server code 500 reason Internal Server Errorexplanation Error during parsing of SOAP header'.
The Error XML is as follows:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!-- Call Adapter
    -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30"

<SAP:Stack>Http server code 500 reason Internal Server Error

    <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
    </SAP:Error>
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

    Sravya,
Yes this an IDOC to http scenario. There was no dump at the receiver end. I've found out what was causing the problem - I was using an adapter type of HTTP. It should have been of type 'XI'. I've altered this and it works. Hopefully this will resolve your problem Vinod.

  • [Beginner:] Incorporation of ECC, BI and SCM APO Inquiries

    Hi All,
I would like to seek your help on something I am working on. We have this supplies procurement planning tool that I was helping to create. Our general objective is to create a tool that will give a forecast of supplies that people need to procure from a facility for the future months. I am under BI and I am wondering on the basics regarding BI and SCM APO data flows. Honestly, I am still clueless on this. I have seen from our systems that most loads come from APO going to BI. Is it always that way? Are data from ECC considered as well?
Hoping to hear lots of advises on this. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge to a newbie like me.

    Saging,
Hmmm.  It seems a bit odd to be creating a 'forecasting-of-material-procurement' tool, when SAP has so many already built in, either within ERP or within APO.  Oh well, I am sure there must be a good reason.
I have seen from our systems that most loads come from APO going to BI. Is it always that way?
BI type data can come from any source.  The most common BI solutions I have seen is where BI data are extracted from the main ERP.  However, the beauty of BI is that it doesn't care, SAP builds in functionality to get data from anywhere.
Are data from ECC considered as well?
They can be if you design it so.
You should be aware that most data existing in ERP that are relevant for material planning also usually exist in APO.  The Core Interface between ERP and APO is normally set up to natively replicate substantial quantities of Master data and also transactional data.  It may be that in your business environment, you really don't need to connect to anything other than APO.  However, this is not a limitation of BI, it is just smart programming to try to minimize the number of sources of your data.

  • Block Demand Depend Interfaces between ECC and SCM

    Hello All.
Is there a way to block only interfaces of Dependent Demand between ECC and SCM.
I need to do this because ECC writes over my plan in SCM.
    Thanks and Best Regards

    Hello PrasunM
    For example:
When you create an Order on finished material, SCM using PP method "3 - Cover Ind. Requ." creates DepReq on raw material.
SCM using CIF sends PlOrd, PrdOrd and DepReq to ECC. I want send only PlOrd and PrdOrd, DepReq i only need in SCM side.
    Best Regards.

  • SAP ECC and  SCM 5.0,   CIF question

I have set up ECC to connect to SCM 5.0 via  CIF, and have tested the RFC connections.   Test results say it's working.
Now what are the next steps?   LiveCache?  I have a material in APO  which needs to talk to liveCache to withdraw some data.  Can someone give me some direction on the steps to follow after SCM  installation? Thanks!!!

    Mon_Ami,
It depends upon what business requirement you are trying to fulfill.  You say you want to withdraw some data from livecache.  What data?  Why?
Do you want to forecast your company's demand?  Do you want to create supply elements?  Do you want to perform Availability checks?  Do you want help in determining the best planning solution for a planning problem, based on constraints that you define?  Or.....?
There are many business requirements that can use SCM as a solution.  Normally, one doesn't implement SCM without having a concrete business requirement.  What is yours?

  • ECC 5.0 and BO without BW/BI Integration Best Practise

    Hi,
I know that SAP can connect with BO system using RapidMart (replacing data warehouse BW/BI). Is this best practise?Because when i see the BI Platform RoadMap,I conclude that BI and BO will be integrate into one product, and i'm afraid to invest right now because in the future it seems we need to implement the BW system to make this BI system optimal.
My company want to use BO without implement BW system right now. SAP system that we use right now is ECC 5.0 and my company only upgrade it to next version when version 5.0 not supported again.Thank you.
    Cheers,
    Satria

    Hi Satria,
the answer depends a little bit on what the requirement is.
RapidMarts are an option to implement a data mart solution on top of an ERP solution. On top of the Rapid Marts you can then use the BusinessObjects tools without hitting the OLTP system directly.

  • Integration (JDeveloper 10G and SCM 9i)

I am new working with JDeveloper and SCM.
Is it possible to integrate JDeveloper 10G to SCM 9i, or should I use the same version for both products, in order to reduce future problems?
Now I am having some problems, for example:
    1) I can not move a business component from a package to another. Both packages are checked out. The BC4J is checked out, too.
    2) When I try to add a new JSP to the struts file from the graphic view, I have to check out both files the strust, xml and StrutsPageFlow.oxd_struts.
    3) When I delete a file it is not deleted in the repository.
Are these problems related to the version, or should I install something else?
    Thanks for your help.
I am including this question in the SCM forum, too

AFAIK support for Oracle SCM is not yet implemented in JDeveloper 10g. Oracle promises to publish it on Extension Exchange (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/partners/addins/exchange/index.html) as soon as it will be available. I don't expect it released anytime soon :-(
Last version of JDeveloper in which I saw that working was 9.0.3.3. Since then it's been worse and worse.

  • SAP Support for Classic G/L in ECC 6.0 and above

    Hello,
Running an SAP upgrade project from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 (EHP6). The customer is running the existing release since the past 8 years with FI/CO, MM,SD,PM and HCM modules.
We are exploring the possibilities and repercussions of moving on to new G/L from the legacy classic G/L. Please have a look at the mentioned points for replies accordingly.
    1. As far as I understand, if need to seamlessly transit in the ECC 6.0 with New G/L in a way that the old transactional data, and all balances are retained with historical records, then we need to purchase the SAP New G/L Migration Services, and this would be lead and done by SAP. There is no alternate way of doing it solely by our ownself, Is this correct ?. If we engage SAP for this migration exercise and consulting then does it ensure that all historical data and balances are moved intact in the new G/L environment and from an end user perspective all transactional done to date before moving in ECC 6.0 are retained.
    2. I guess we still need to review the integration impact of the new G/L for all other modules, is there a substantial rework to be done or with minimal effort, new account assignments and related configuration can be altered .
    3. If we don't opt for SAP G/L Migration service but still want to activate and use the new G/L and profit center accounting, then as far as myself and my team assess, we need to decide a cutover date and gather the balances/open items from the legacy G/L and upload them to the new G/L in ECC 6.0, just as it would be the case for a fresh new implementation for a customer coming from non-SAP environment. If this is correct then :
The customer will lose all historical, detailed transactional data with respect to the legacy G/L and relevant originating entries. In such case for any business reporting requirement, the customer has to keep a separate PRD server alive in a dormant state for fetching the data before the transition in ECC 6.0 environment. Is this the correct understanding and the only possible approach, can there be a better way of ensuring the availability of historical data.
In such a case of doing a cutover data migration from old G/L to new G/L, do we have to upload the rest of the master/transactional data for all other modules as well, enacting a situation that all of them started as fresh new modules in ECC.6.0,  or the legacy master / transactional data for all other modules can be kept intact for historical purposes. (examples, all vendors and PO / sales order and customer master / employee master and all payroll historical records for past 8 years).
    4. Any indication or official SAP note, that for how long SAP intends to support the legacy G/L in the upcoming ECC versions. It is necessary to know in case the customer currently opts for still continuing with the classic G/L in ECC 6.0 , but we have a lurking danger that SAP would stop the support and availability of legacy classic G/L in the near future. So to a have a long term sustainable benefit, we might deliberate with the customer to take a bitter sip now , and move on to the new G/L with all its bells/whistles and the nuisances it might bring in terms of historical transaction data unavailability.
I hope i was able to make my scenario clearly understandable for having some valuable input from the forum members.
Thanks a lot for reading and replying.

    Hi Syed,
From Technical basis perspective there is not much work in newGL migration apart from application and database tuning.
Time taken for migrating to newGL will depend upon number of open items available in the system at the time of migration.
Most of your queries are functional and suggestion would be to move this thread to ERP Financials.

  • PPDS: I have a setup matrix in SAP ECC 6.0, and want to transfer the same to APO using Core Interface.

PPDS: I have a setup matrix in SAP ECC 6.0, and want to transfer the same to APO using Core Interface. Has anyone done it before?

    Hi Subhash,
Please open this link to see the details:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/EN/89/bd3e42ce98033be10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
You perform the data transfer in the following sequence:
    Plant
    Setup groups
    Work centers
    Routings
You check the setup groups in SAP APO.
You create the setup matrixes in SAP SCM.
    Thanks, Marius

  • Transfer to ECC fails in the SCM 7.0 testing system

We  use only DP and are upgrading from SCM 5.0 to SCM 7.0. The planning book from where we transfer the Demand Plan to to ECC has a time bucket profile set up where it is maintained in months and the display is in weeks. The transfer to ECC happens in weekly buckets. Beacuse of this in the testing system for SCM 7.0 - the transfer fails as the system says that "Transfer to R/3 with mixed periodicites is not allowed".
The transfer has worked fine in SCM 5.0 version for over 3 years. Any suggestions here will be greatly appreicated.
    Thanks,
    Sarita Doddi

    Hi Sarita,
Please check the link below. It clearly states the data view used for the transfer process should have one periodicity only.
A planning buckets profile with one periodicity only (if it contains more than one periodicity, the job is aborted with an error)
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/en/5f/176d4160168147e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
If you need different aggregation levels for the transferred demand (e.g weekly for 2 months forllowed by monthly for 10 months), you may have to release the demand in 2 steps.
Step 1: Release with a data view with only 2months in weekly buckets
Step 2: release with a dataview month 3 to month 12 in monthly buckets.

  • Are ECC 5.0 and ECC 6.0 components and can run without Netweaver?

    Hi Experts,
As you know I'm new SAP Basis/NetWeaver on my new job. What is the difference between ECC 5.0 and ECC 6.0? how and where we install NetWeaver or
how we configured netweaver, is it a separate product? how it talks to Backend system? where do assigned roles in NetWeaver or in Backend system? How can we monitor SSL cert's? urgent...please help.
    Thanks,
    Frank.

    Hi,
Your question needs lot of explanation but i would try to make it short and simple.
First SAPNetweaver is platform for all the new releases.Previously, in SAP R/3 4.6C the platform was SAP BASIS after that comes SAP R/3 ENTERPRISE  which was SAP web AS then Came in mySAP ERP Edition 2003 main component was SAP R/3 Enterprise powered by SAP Netweaver and then mwSAP ERP Edition 2005 main component SAP ECC 5.( ERP centeral component). This ECC comes under my SAP ERP and it consists of other as well like portal,BI,SRM,SCM,SEM etc. SAP netweaver has its own features which u can search online and u will get lot of information on this platform which all u r getting in these new relases powered by SAP netweaver.SO it goes like
    SAP R/3 3.1----->SAP R/3 4.6C>SAP R/3 Enterprise-->mySAP ERP2004 -
    >mySAP ERP 2005.
There are two stacks in SAP web AS 6.4 ABAP and Java both has diffrent schema's.
where do assigned roles in NetWeaver or in Backend system?
For ABAP we can assign the roles from Tcode : pfcg
and for Java UME or Visual administrator .. it depends on the datasource.
For maintainning SSL u can view tcode :STRUST
I hope it has cleared ... if yes reward points
