ECC6.0 Company Code TIN (OBY6)
There are more pages to this screen. The TIN field is now on the second page of OBY6 > Additional details.
What field in ECC6.0 configuration holds the company code TIN? What is the menu path to access this? In 4.7 it is OBY6 > Additional Data: Tax number USA (TIN).
My company is upgrading from 4.7 to ECC6.0. In ECC6.0, this TIN field is not displayed in OBY6 > Additional Data. Therefore, if the company code was originally configured in our dual-path environment, we configured the TIN in field OBY6 > Additional Data: ID number EXTRASTAT.
If the company code existed before we entered our dual-path phase, any ACH payment methods tested are successful. However, if the company code was originally dual-path, the ACH payment method in ECC6 cannot create IDocs and returns an error finding the company code TIN.
Table T001Z displays different parameter types as a result of the different configuration between 4.7 and ECC6. Pre-existing company codes return parameter type SAPTIN. Dual-path company codes return parameter type SAPI14.
Any advice is welcome. I thank you in advance.

Thanks for coming back into the forum and letting us know the resolution. God (and SAP) have Their own ways of doing things. SAP must at least put something like "Page 1/2" on the additional details screen in OBY6.

Company code 1000's witholding tax reference number is missing
Hello All,
We are running the report RFIDYYWT / t.code S_P00_07000134 for the first time to file tax returns in the US.
And we see the following errors;
27 Company code 1000's witholding tax reference number is missing
28 EDI identifier for company code 1000 is missing
I did check the Additional Data for our US company code on OBY6 but there are no fields as such for Withholding Tax Reference and EDI Identifier.
Also checked the Output Group US1 config under Withholding Tax. Not sure about Parameter Types "Tax Ref. 1" and "EDI Ref." fields.
I see different threads with similar issues but could not find a solution for this specific problem. Could someone help us fix this problem so we can file this year's returns on time ? This is turning out to be a critical issue for our Finance team ...
ThanksFound it - for US company Code, I went into the additional data of OBY6 and scrolled to the "Next Page". The namTax number USA (TIN) can be discovered, in the hidden pages of SAP

RFIDYYWT across company codes produces 1099 with multiple records per TIN
We have multiple company codes that post 1099-MISC relevant payments to a common set of vendors. All payments are processed through our main (paying) company code.
All our company codes are one taxable entity to the federal government, with one TIN. We are required to submit one file to the IRS.
Unfortunately, when we execute RFIDYYWT across company codes we get multiple records per vendor, one for each company code, despite that the vendor has only one TIN.
How may we customize the system so that a single execution of RFIDYYWT provides an IRS compliant file that aggregates common vendor records?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

TIN # for the company code
In what transaction do they maintain the TIN # for the company code ?
For customer = fd01
For vendor = fk01
Points for helpful ideas.. Thanks!Hello
You maintain your own company's TIN in Customizing for Financial Accounting (FI), under Financial Accounting Global Settings ® Company Code ® Enter Global Parameters. Enter the TIN in the ID number EXTRASTAT field under Additional details.
The last character in the TIN, V or N, determines whether the transaction is subject to VAT, and it is printed accordingly on the official receipt. However, in the transaction, you can overwrite this by specifying a VAT or non-VAT tax code.
If you work with business places, then each of your business places is assigned a taxpayer identification number (TIN). When you create your business places in Customizing, you enter its TIN in the Tax Number 1 field, on the Details screen. Note that you must also create a business place for your head office, and you enter the same TIN as you enter in your FI global settings
Head office TIN: 123-456-789-000V; business place TIN: 123-456-789-012V
In most cases, the head office is identified by 000 in the last three digits of the TIN. The business place TIN typically has the same first nine digits as that of the head office, with the last three identifying its area in this case, 012.

Global Parameters in company code (OBY6)
Hi Sap Experts,
In Global parameters in company code there is a field " No forex rate difference , when clearing in Local Currency".
what is the purpose of that . Please explain in brief.
Thanks & Regards,
Prabhakar
Moderator: Press F1 on the field whose purpose you don't know and the system will give you the explanantionHi,
For eg.
Invoice was posted in foreign currency USD 1000 (exchange rate is 45 INR/USD) So Amount in Local currency INR is 45000
Payment was made in INR of 45,000 (at the time of payment exchange rate is 44 INR/USD). So if payment was made in USD then it would have been 1022 USD
So there is a difference of 22 USD which company lost in foreign currency...
To conclude, if this field is selected in OBY6, system will not post any forex line item while clearing above items in INR else system will post difference of 22 USD

Version 4.6c Cross Company Code Incoming payment to lockbox.
In version 4.6c I am trying to find out the correct IMG configuration for processing incoming payments to a lockbox when multiple companies are using one company for banking. Here is what I have done so far:
Here are the company codes: 2100 has house banks and lockbox set up.
0980 does not have house bank or lockbox.
OX16 - all both company codes involved are assigned to the same Company.
OBVU - Non-bank company code 0980 has 2100 set up as Paying Company Code
OBYA - Clearing accounts have been set up between 0980-2100.
OB05 - Accounting Clerk has been set up for both company codes.
OB10 - Lockbox from 2100 has been set up for 0980. Even though 0980 does not have a House bank set up, IMG Configuration did allow the lockbox and house bank for 2100 to be saved under 0980.
OB96 - Forms to be used were linked to 0980
One issue we are having is that when we attempt to set up a Customer for 0980 a field for Lockbox is required to be entered. When the 2100 Lockbox is input, an error message pops up saying that 0980 does not have a House Bank.
Can someone please explain how to complete the configuration for this type of activity in version 4.6c? Also should we be using F-28, FB05 or some other t-code to post incoming payments.Hello,
You can post the cross company code postings even between two controlling areas. The system does not prevent to post documents between two company codes in two controlling area. Need not necessarily they should be under one operating concern. Provided you have to make sure that you have followed the following points:
In OBY6 - To company codes must be assigned to same Company, meaning that you mus thave created a Company and that company must have been assigned to these two company codes.
OBYA - You should maintain the clearing accounts in both the company codes. Meaning that you are posting one leg in one company code and the other leg in the other company. Therefore, it is required to have the missing legs in each company code.
Company Code1 - Posting Key 40 - Clearing Account
Company Code1 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
Company Code2 - Positng Key 40 - Clearing Account
Company Code2 - Posting Key 50 - Clearing Account
OB08 - In case if the two company codes have different local (company code) currencies, you may maintain the exchange rates.
You can now go to F-02 and post a cross company code transaction giving the first leg in first company code and the second leg in second company code. Missing leg in the first company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA and the missing leg in the second company code will be posted to the GL Account mentioned in OBYA. That means you will have four line items overall.
The system will post three document.
Document 1 in First Company Code
Document 2 in Second Company Code
and
Document3 - Cross Company Code Document.
The cross company code document consists of the first company code document number plus company code plus last two digits of the fiscal year.
Hope this must have clarified your doubts.
Please let me know in case if you need further details.
Thanks,
Ravi
