Echanger iPod mini contre iPod Nano

Je me demandais si Apple voudrais bien mÉchanger un ipod mini contre un nano??? Où pourrais-je m'informer de cela ou pouvez-vous m'informer?? M
Merci

You cannot exchange the ipod mini for a nano.
However, if you turn in your old ipod (at one of the stores), and buy a new ipod on the same day (at that store), then you get 10% off.

    Hi Hill,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
Some reading material for you from Apple:
    1. iTunes: Moving your iTunes Music folder
    2. Just plug your nano into your Laptop after you have moved everything across from your PC.

  • Switching from ipod mini to ipod nano

I just got a new nano and i had an ipod mini. can i still keep my old itunes and transfer them to the new ipod nano?

It will be like setting up your iPod mini. You may register the iPod (if you want), but that's basically it. It is very self-explanatory.

  • Can I use AC charger from ipod mini on new nano???

My son had an ipod mini. He had bought an AC charger for it. I am buying him an ipod nano for his birthday (ipod mini went bad...). Can he use the charger from the mini to the nano???

Maybe, depends on the charger. It would appear that while older iPods only needed the power pins, newer ones may require the data pins to also be active for charging. Some chargers do not connect the data pins at all.
But it won't damage the Nano. It will either work fine or do nothing at all.
    Which charger is it?

  • Updating from iPod mini to iPod nano

Your best bet is to sell your mini (try ebay or something) & buy a nano.

  • Replacing Ipod mini with New nano,

    Hi
I have purchased my wife to be a new Ipod nano (8gb), she currently uses an Ipod mini (6GB). We use the same PC & to keep both her mini and my 30Gb Ipod video. So she has to manually manage the tunes on her mini.
Now she has this new nano, she wants put the same songs on her shiney blue nano, but this as taken hers hours to shift through all 6000 tracks that we have collected in itunes.
So the question is, is there a simple way to copy the same tracks on the old mini to the new nano?

*is there a simple way to copy the same tracks on the old mini to the new nano?*
You can't copy from one iPod to another and since the old one is being managed manually then you've no original single source to sync from so I'm afraid there is no simple answer.
Something you might want to consider for managing smaller iPods with a large shared library is the option "Sync Music - selected Playlists". Syncing selected playlists is just like syncing your whole library only on a smaller scale and more "selectively". This is particularly useful when your library is larger than the capacity of your iPod. When your iPod is is set to sync selected playlists it automatically picks up any changes you made to that playlist in iTunes since you last connected. Anything you added to the playlist will be added to the iPod, anything you deleted from it will be deleted from the iPod. In other words the iTunes playlist and the iPod are kept "in sync". In future if you were to add another iPod it could sync to the same source playlist.
Open iTunes and create a playlist to update the iPod from, call it -My iPod Nano for example (the dash will position it at the top of the playlists in Sources). You can make it a smart playlist that picks the songs for you or just a normal one and drag whatever content you want to have into the playlist. Now connect your iPod and when it appears in the Source list click on the iPod icon to bring up the preference tabs in the main pane. Go to the Music tab and choose Sync Music and the Selected playlists radio button. Choose the playlist you just made from the selection and click Apply. You can also sync from any existing playlists by choosing the same setting, you just need to make sure that the size of the playlists don't exceed the capacity of your iPod: Syncing Music to iPod

  • IPod mini dock with nano issue

After seeing a few people use their iPod mini dock successfully with the Nano, I thought I would try it on mine. It works just fine, except for the fact that after leaving the nano in the dock for a day or so I noticed that it became loose and I had to push it down again on the connector.
    Has anyone else experienced this?

Probably just because while the connector is the same the molding is sized for the Mini not the Nano so it's not surprising it might come loose.

  • IPod Mini vs iPod nano

In Australia the iPod mini has been taken off the shelfs and has been replaced by the nano. Why?

b I think Apple stopped making Minis because they want to make more money.
By coming out with a new product? Don't you think they spent some money on the R&D since it is not simply a repackaging of the mini? It is a new product.
b Most people would rather get the 4 gig Nano than the 2 gig, since it's only a difference of $50. That way, they're making $50 extra for each iPod nano bought.
But the 4 GB costs more to make so the $50 is not all profit.

  • Transfer music from iPod mini to iPod with video

I'm going to be spending a few nights at my friend's house and they plan on giving me their iPod with video. I currently have the iPod mini and I was just wondering if there's a way (in Windows XP) if I can get my music and playlists from my iPod mini to my new iPod with video at my friend's house so I don't have to wait until i can go home and connect it to my PC.

    Actually Problem solved!
if anyone wants to know the steps here they are
*make sure your iPod is enabled for hard disk use*
-on your PC, export the library and any playlists to a flash drive or CD (in this case, I'm using a flash drive)
-create a new user account in Windows
    -open and setup iTunes
-connect the iPod that has the music you want
-go to FILE then IMPORT, and select all your playlist text files along with your library xml file and import
-when done, connect your NEW iPod and format it
-then sync the music and there you go! all your songs on a new iPod when you don't have access to your PC!

  • Ipod mini and ipod on same itunes?

I've had an ipod for a while and used it with my iTunes succesfully. I just got an ipod mini and for some reason the iTunes won't recognize it even though my computer does. It is up to date on updates but it just won't get recognized while my iPod is still being recognized. What do i do?

You may also want to try other usb ports, and also try resetting the iPod whilst it's connected.

  • Itunes library won't load to ipod mini after ipod to new computer transfer

I got a new computer and was able to transfer my ipod music into itunes; however, now my ipod has gone blank and it will not load the songs from itunes back onto the ipod. The ipod shows up on itunes, but has no songs listed. It shows that it is empty with a lock next to it on the bottom of the itunes screen.
    Please help!
    sony vaio   Windows XP

As you have all of your songs safely back in iTunes then try restoring your iPod, this will erase the hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete it should connect to iTunes and give you a prompt you to automatically update your library onto the fresh installation: Restoring iPod to Factory Settings

  • Sharing from ipod mini to ipod on windows

Any speedy way of transferring some of my music from the mini into the regular ipod. Not all of it is still in my libraray. Can I get it out of my IPOD music into hers? Please advise.

After you downloaded itunessetup.exe, did you physically open that file to run the install? If you did, then I recommend uninstalling itunes by going to your start menu, then control panel, then add/remove programs, and selecting itunes AND quicktime. Don't worry about losing your music as it is stored on your hard drive and will not be affected. After that, go to www.apple.com/itunes/download and download itunes. When you click on the link that says "download itunes 7.0.2- Free" it will ask you if you want to run or save this file. You want to save it. After it has finished downloading, it might ask you if you want to run the file you just downloaded. then you can click run, which will start the installer! Hope this helps!
