Echo on Aud

Hi, I'm using an Audigy 2?WDM card and a 5. speaker system. I installed Windows Vista OEM Ultimate yesterday and installed the currently drivers from the website. I got a big echo on my set and i cannot change it in Vista, Too mutch options, is this fixable or should i go back to Windows XP in order to get good sound agian, Its not cracwling or making stops in the sound. Its just has the echo. Is this fixable?

I'm having the exact same problem. I was using the beta drivers then yesterday downloaded the final one and now i'm getting an awful reverb on my audio. This is useless we wait this long for non beta drivers and we get drivers which are worse than the beta. I have an Audigy2 card by the way.

I have a aud 4 on a Asus Av8 M/B....i can't control the volume level on microphone i just goes to the top when i have the boost on....on hardware test in control panel if doesn't pick up voice without the boost...when testing i get a reverb or echo coming through the speakers...i have reserved Iq5 for legency as said by Creative...on board sound is disabled in bois..any help before i switch to on board for a easier life by the way...no sound effects are on,,no eax...all is default....all creative daigonse test run ok

Iphone 6 plus echo?

Have an iPhone 6 plus. Everyone has been complaining about hearing themselves echo while speaking to me on the other end of the call. Anything I can do to fix this?
They complain about it regardless of whether or not I'm using my bluetooth. Anything I can do to fix this?

IPhone 5 32GB echo voice during 3rd party call reject

Dear all,
Have anyone experience echoing voice especially for iPhone 32GB during 3rd party call reject? (Doesn't happen to 16GB and 64GB)
During phone call if the other party rejects the call, you could hear echo background voice right after the busy tone.
Appreciate if someone could share some joy in solving this very annoying problem. Have tried restoring and setting up as new phone both with negative result. Currently running 6.1.3.

IPhone 3G bluetooth echo?

I had a 1st gen iPhone (1.1.4) that I would pair with my BMW, worked great. Yesterday I bought an iPhone 3G. I can still pair it with my car, but now all of my conversations have a terrible echo. It's impossible to talk to anyone - we both hear a delayed echo of my voice. What is causing this? Is it software? Is it my phone that is a dud? Is the bluetooth in the new iPhone substandard?

Well it appears the following vehicles have BT echo problems:
-Various BMWs
-2008 Nissan Rogue
-2008 Nissan Altima
-2008 Toyota Tundra
Apple sent the iPhone days in advance to 3 of their favorite reviewers and sure enough, one of them also noted the problem.
Mossberg concurs, but complains that "the new phone produced an echo when used with the built-in Bluetooth system in my car."

Iphone 5s Echo and Swoosh noises during active call

Hello All,
I purchased a new iphone 5s around a month back and I consistently get echoes of my own voice and swoosh noises during call. This happens irrespective if I make the call or an incoming call is answered, from any location like my room and on the street (No tunnels, elevators, etc). I originally thought it was because I receive notifications like texts or if my cheek touches the display, but I hear this noises and echoes even if I am on headphone (both apple and other branded headphones). Is this is a known issue, if so how do I resolve it ?

The $? variable in UNIX is the exit code for the program. In most *NIX versions that I am aware of, it is limited to values between 0 and 255 (i.e. one byte), so the value is truncated. The hex value of 50497 is C541, or two bytes, so the $? variable is only getting the last byte 0X41 which is decimal 65.

Using Echo Command in PowerShell Script for Configuration Item

Hello All,
Before you tell me to post my PowerShell question to the PowerShell Forum, please know that the PowerShell portion of my task works just fine. It is the SCCM portion of my task that keeps failing, so that is why I am here. To give some background...
There are two servers in our SCCM test environment. Both the SCCM server and SQL DB server are 2012, patched and updated.
Test servers in my Device Collection being used for running Baselines and Reports against are 2008R2 and 2012, patched and updated.
I have created a Configuration Item that checks to see if the FTP Server Role Feature has been installed on a 2008 or 2012 server. To do the check, I am using the following PowerShell script:
(get-windowsfeature -Name Web-Ftp-Server).Installed
When I log into my 2008R2 and 2012 test servers, and run this command directly on the server, it will return a "True" if the FTP Server Role Feature is installed on either server, and a "False" if it is not installed. Basically,
it works as advertised.
When I setup my Configuration Item and then deploy my Baseline, or run a report against my device collection of test servers, SCCM will return a correct response (True or False) for the 2012 test server, but throws the following error for the 2008R2
server:

Google searches for this have not been very helpful.
Now, when I created the Configuration Item and referenced PowerShell, the configuration screen has the following note:
"Specify the script to find and return the value to be assessed for compliance on client devices. Use the echo command to return the script value to Configuration Manager."
Since I did not include an echo command in my PowerShell script above, I figured that was my problem, so I did the following:
Logging onto both of my test servers (2008R2 & 2012) I was able to successfully run the following PowerShell commands and get the expected responses of True or False:
(get-windowsfeature -Name Web-Ftp-Server).Installed | echo
(get-windowsfeature -Name Web-Ftp-Server).Installed | write-output (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh849921.aspx)
(get-windowsfeature -Name Web-Ftp-Server).Installed | write-host (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee177031.aspx)
However, when I use any of these PowerShell commands in my Configuration Item, NEITHER of my test servers returns a response to the SCCM server.
When I check the report, both servers show as "Unknown" and when I click on the number 2 (as in 2 servers unknown), the following report page (List of unknown assets for a configuration baseline) has absolutely no data/information at all.
So...I am at a loss.
SCCM tells me to use an echo command to return a script value to Configuration Manager. The PowerShell scripts above, with the various echo related commands, work just fine on the servers themselves, but they return no information when run via SCCM.
What am I missing?
Any help will be appreciated.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I don't understand. (I forgot to mention that I am new at both PowerShell and SCCM.)
After I change the PowerShell script to add the echo/write-output/write-host cmdlet, I open the ConFig Item and "Clear" the PowerShell script and then re-add it. When I do that, it correctly shows the change in the ConFig Item.
Next I open the Baseline, then open the ConFig Item within the Baseline to make sure the change is reflected there as well, which it is.
I then deploy the Baseline to my Device Collection. After that, I run a report against the Baseline and Device Collection and it returns the "Unknown" result.
If I open the PowerShell script and remove the echo/write-output/write-host cmdlet, then go through the rest of the process of updating and reporting, the result it returns changes, showing one server in compliance and the other server out of compliance,
which leads me to think that all changes have taken correctly.
Does that sound right? If I manually deploy the Baseline, is that the same as the client retrieving policies from the management point?
Sorry to be so thick but I'm learning as I go.

How to put echo command and other command in same line in Terminal

Hello everyone. I use GeekTool (v3.0.1) and was wondering if I could put an "echo" command and another command in a shell script such that the output would be 1 line only instead of 2 lines for the 2 commands. How do I do that?

What is a statement block, and how do I use it to display the text?

This might work okay in .BAT but I don't think so much in Powershell. You are trying to do an IF ( ) statement, but you have no parameters after that.
A pancake of how an IF statement works in Powershell:
If (statement -like "True") { Script info if condition is true } else { script info if condition is false }
In your case, you need to test the path of Chrome to see if it exsists. I don't have Chrome installed, but I do have IE. You just need to change the path to where the Chrome.exe is installed.
ps - the Echo equiv in Powershell is Write-Host
$TestBrowser = Test-Path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
    if ($TestBrowser -like "True")
        Write-Host the internets is ready!
    else
        Write-Host the internets is not ready
Similiarly, you don't need to use $TestBrowser in your If ( ) statement, you can just use the operational param $?, which should return true or false depending on the last error message.

Online conference participants hear echo when cinema display is connected via mini-displayport, even though I am using headphones with mic.

When I use Google Hangout or GoToMeeting, other participants in the meeting hear an echo of their sound -- loud and obtrusive. When I mute, it goes away.
This only happens when I am using my Apple Cinema Display 27" (recent vintage) connected via the mini-displayport (natively, not an adapter).
On my end, i don't hear their echo, but I do hear waves of squelching -- basically it sounds like their end is trying to adjust their input down to account for what it thinks I saying, even though I'm not talking, it's just the echo making that happen.
Sometimes this doesn't occur -- it seems to crop up intermittently, but happens around 75% of the time at some point in a conversation.
I am using iPhone-compatible in-ear earphones with built-in mic; the earphones are the rubber seal type, so there's no sound escaping them that the system should even be able to hear.
I have my audio set up for "Headphones" as output device.
Input device is set up as "External Microphone" -- this part confuses me because even though I know my Cinema Display has a microphone, the OS seems not to list it as a separate input device. So I wonder if it's getting confused trying to use both the cinema display's mic *and* the earphone mic? (see dropdown image)

Earphones are skull-candy brand iPhone compatible (with built-in mic), plugged into the macbook air's earphone jack. (without the display connected, this has always worked fine -- and with a prior non-apple display that had no mic/camera this was not a problem)
This is an ongoing issue in our office, in fact ... especially troublesome in client meetings.
I haven't tried other configurations, other than when using the Cinema Display's USB connector, the same thing happens.
It also happens even when I'm not using the "USB PnP Sound Device" you see listed in the dropdown here -- that's something I use for controlling music output to my desk speakers.
A general question: is there no way to control the cinema display's mic and/or camera more directly?
(EDITED TO ADD: Ok I see in the Cinema Display manual, there should be a listing for "Display Audio" in the input list, but my SysPref panel has none listed. See other screenshot. I wonder if this is the problem??)

Curious, is the 30-inch Cinema Display you have, one listed in this Support Article:
•Apple Cinema Display (20-, 23-, and 30-inch DVI) - Technical Specifications
or is yours a later build series; which one do you have...? This says Mini unsupported.
The specifications vary across the line of Displays, as do the graphic support in Macs.
I'd suspect your version is a later 30-inch display, but it may be one of these. And a
newer 27-inch Display has the Thunderbolt cable.
