Eclipse Lomboz and oc4j

hi All,
Can anyone guide me step by step as to how to configure oc4j standalone with Eclipse 3.0 and Lomboz J2EE plug -in. The default server settings that come with Lomboz has all the classpath settings wrong. I'm using oc4j 10.0.3.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Niranjan

Thanks for the quick reply. I switched to the 904 file and it's amost working. It's having trouble finding one library.
{CLASSPATH}/javacache/lib/cache.jar
on my local install, that .jar fiule is located under
{CLASSPATH}/oc4j/javacache/lib/cache.jar
Can I just modify the .server file, or am I missing something else.

  • Lomboz and OC4J 10.3.1

    Hello,
I am using Lomboz with OC4J 10.3.1. While trying to add a new module, I get the error that some OC4J libs doesn't exist.
    This libs are:
    adminclient.jar
    oc4j-internal.jar
    ojdbc14dms.jar
    soap.jar
has anyone an idea where I can find these jar files?
or wether I can delete them from the severdefinition file, so that they wouldn't be required without having any bad side effects?
    Thanks,
    A. Kassabi

I keep trying to update itunes but it keeps asking for the location of bonjour or something
Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

  • Lomboz, Eclipse and OC4J

    Hi All!
I'm having problems setting up Lomboz in Eclipse, specifically for OC4J. I successfully set up Lomboz with Tomcat, however, just to make sure I installed Lomboz in Eclipse properly. I successfully created a web component, deployed and ran it using Lomboz. But, when I try using OC4J as my container, it won't work.
Although when I deploy, it successfully copies the *.WAR file to \oc4j\j2ee\home\applications, when I start the server I cannot view my web component "Page Not Found". I noticed, however, that the server.xml and the web-descriptor.xml files in OC4J weren't updated by Lomboz for my new web component. It thought it should have done this.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

U must add this line in application.xml
    <web-module id="newWarModule" path="../applications/myWebApp.war" />
and add the following line in $OC4J/config/default-web-site.xml or $OC4J/config/http-web-site.xml
    <web-app application="newWarModule" name="WarModuleName" root="/newWar" />
    bye

  • How do I use toplink with Spring 2.5 and oc4j 10.1.2?

Our existing java server environment is limited to Oc4j 10.1.2 due to being tied to Oracle Forms.
We've added a java 6 jdk to the machine and linked it to a specific container to examine some newer java features since this version of the application server only comes with java 1.4.2.
Does anyone have some configuration steps for getting toplink essentials and spring to work with oc4j 10.1.2? Even with oc4j 10.1.3 in jdev 10.1.3.4 I'm having problems trying to figure out what needs placed in the persistence.xml file verses what needs placed in the spring-beans.xml file.
I'm trying to either use the J2SE option of keeping the connection information in the persistence.xml file (which doesn't work) - it tries to connect to //localhost:1521/orcl. If I try to define a datasource within Spring's xml file, I'm not sure how to tie that into the persistence.xml file. Could I use the oc4j 10.1.2 container provided datasource?
It seems like I'm at a loss as to how to get this working. If you'd like me to post some files, I can do that later on today when I get back to work.
The configuration that I'm trying to do is based on a modified workspace from an ibm developerworks article with websphere, mixing in the ideas from a JPA with Spring 2.0 article from Mike Keith and Rod Johnson. (That article goes pretty far in the configuration information but never provided an example to download...)
    Any help appreciated.
    Eric (hbg, pa)

I'm still at a loss with this. Rather than worry about the older version, for now, I just want to see JPA in action. So, I've decided on just running the Spring 2.5.6 petclinic example out of the samples folder. When I try to do this, after only tweaking the web.xml to use the applicationContext-jpa.xml file, the application does not initialize properly. Here's the stack trace I get:

  • Using Struts with JDeveloper, BC4J and OC4J 9.0.2

Is it feasible to use Struts with JDeveloper 9.0.2, BC4J 9.0.2 and OC4J 9.0.2? We have an application that uses the BC4J JBO tags in version 9.0.2. We wish to use Struts and we want to retain the use of the JBO tags. Is there a way to do this without upgrading to 9.0.3?

    Here are two related questions:
Can we upgrade to oracle9iAS 9.0.3 yet still use JDeveloper 9.0.2 and BC4J/JBO 9.0.2?
Can we upgrade to JDeveloper 9.0.3 and BC4J/JBO 9.0.3 yet still deploy to oracle9iAS 9.0.2?

  • Crystal Reports for Eclipse plugin and CR XI server

I have a software requirement in which I need to support both internal (CR Eclipse plugin using the report viewer, not sure what the real name of this is) along with external (CR XI server) reporting.  In other words, I should be able to display a report (.rpt) that exists on my local app server along with one that exists on the CR XI server.  My question is this:
So I have both sets of jar libraries (eclipse plugin and XI server) and I see that some of the them are overlapping (some of the jars have the same name).  For the ones that overlap, should I choose the ecilipse plugin or XI server ones...?
One example I found is that the eclipse plugin rasapp.jar contains the POJOResultSetHelper class whereas the rasapp.jar from the XI server does not.  In this case, I presume I should use the eclipse version, right?
    Thanks for your help!
    Louis

    Hello Louis,
-If you are using latest version of CR Eclipse plugin using the report viewer, then I would recommend going for JAR files of this eclipse plugin than that of CR XI Server.
-The only reason being Eclipse plugin will give you most updated JAR files.
-Before using JAR files from Eclipse plugin, I would suggest you to update your present JAR files to latest available JAR files.
This can be done through Eclipse using update option.
And once you update them, you can use those JARs.
    Thanks,
    Chinmay

    Hi Dibya,
In case of outbound EDI, document type and document type revision is used to identify a transaction set. Check whether you are receiving these two values correct. On the basis of transaction set and trading partner, it will identify the agreement and then find the particular business action in that agreement.
Can you please mention that till what step your B2B is able to process the outbound EDI document?
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Eclipse hangs and the JVM terminates in a Swing app incorporating JavaFX

    Hi everyone,
I have a situation that is driving me nuts. I am developing a Swing based application which is incorporating some JavaFX components, mainly the TableView and a few layouts. I have wrapped all the javafx components into a common control for use application wide. I am also using an Eclipse plugin (Window Builder Pro) to layout the swing stuff.
Now, my issue is, when I preview the JFrames and other components making use of the said simple custom control referred above, it only allows me to preview the JFrame once, there after Eclipse hangs and the JVM terminates.
After some research, the most likely cause of this is that the reference to jfxrt.jar i have referenced in the project is loading some native dlls which can/should only be loaded once in the lifetime of a JVM. It looks like for some reason, my app is trying to load the native libs after it has already loaded them initially.
The Application needs to be developed in Eclipse so netbeans is not an option.
Am just getting started with maven, i don't have the know to build a project of this complexity with maven.
Has any one encountered this issue and how did they walk around it?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

After further digging around, the actual exception that causes the jvm to terminate is java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError due to an attempt to reload \JavaFX_2.0_SDK\rt\bin\mat.dll, anyone knows how to overcome this ?

  • 10g: HTTP Server and OC4J on different servers?

Can anyone assist with configuring HTTP Server and OC4J on different servers?
I installed AS 10g on both; our application runs fine on one server, with the HTTP Server and OC4J both on the same box.
I need to also test this with the HTTP Server on a separate box.
    I added this to mod_ocj4.conf:

    Oc4jMount /indox-qa1/*

  • Eclipse RCP and swing key accelerator

    Hi,
I have a JTree inside a view and a popup message when you right click
    on the tree.
I added a key accelerator to the menu and I see the shortcut on the menu but when I use the shortcut, nothing happens.
I believe the problem is SWT -> SWING issue but I don't have any idea
    how to solve it.
    Thanks in advance
    Dekel

Java 'WebStart is (in principle) a fine distribution/deployment/update technology.
It covers smart versioning of jars/jvms.
Native user experience and Swing poses no problem.
I prefer Swing as one can construe one own controls in detail.
Both Eclipse RCP and Netbeans Platform have a very specific starting point.
Both come with a considerable amount of code.
In fact have a feasability study in the form of writing hello-worlds in both.
The unmentioned alternative, starting from scratch with Swing,
    may have some benefits.

  • Servlets and OC4J

    Hi!
I need help. I'm working with OC4J 9.0.2.0.0a behind Apache. In my application a have to obtain data of DataBase and show it in a fdf. To do that i have done a class that obtains the data and a servlet that show it in a fdf using classes of Adobe. The Adobe jar's name is jFdfTk. The servlet runs ok at port 7777, but when i change to port 80 the fdf doesn't show data. I can't understand why.
Does anyone have the same problem??
    Can anyone help me??
    Does anyone know why??
    Thanks!

I see now that I can use the old method of JNDI
lookup with the 3rd party messaging from a web
container, I just can't use the java:comp/resource/MQSeries logical JNDI location.
document: oracle 9ias Container for J2EE,
    Services Guide
    Release 2(9.0.3)
    Aug 2002
    Part No A97690-01
    Chapter 9 Page 9-2
    I am having trouble with this statement;
The ResourceProvider interface enables you to plug in
    third-party message
providers for JMS connections. For Oracle JMS, this
    allows EJBs, servlets, and OC4J
clients to access many different queue
    implementations.
    (OK good so far,)
    With third-party message
providers, only EJBS can access queue
    implementations. The resources are available
under java:comp/resource/ as the default JMS
    resources.
WHAT? I can't do asynchronous messaging from a web
App to a MDB with a 3rd party JMS implementation?
    What gives?
Can someone tell me this is not true please

  • PDF Printing without Oracle BI Publisher and OC4J

    Hi All
I am using Apex 3.1.2 on Oracle 10g XE. I am trying to enable PDF printing. But I am struck with Oracle BI and OC4J. I have read it some where (in a blog and I don't remember its name) that you can enable PDF printing without Oracle BI and OC4J.
Please let me know what I should do to enable PDF this way. Any links, document pointers greatly acknolwledged.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi guru,
This was the reply I had got for posting the same question some time back.
Pdf printing option without using BI Publisher can be done using PL/PDF (http://www.plpdf.com) which provides a programmatic way to generate PDF documents (it doesn't produce Word docs as far as I'm aware however).
