  • WLS 9.2 - weblogic.rjvm.PeerGoneException

    Hello, I am currently dealing with a particularly annoying problem for which I have already raised a support case with BEA.
    Our application makes calls to a thired party security application via EJBs provided by the thired party.
    The thired party application registers and RMI stub on the WLS JNDI tree and the thired party EJBs use this stub to make calls to the security application.
    We have a simple test harness that Remotely looks up the different EJBs and calls methods on them. This works for the limited set of methods that we test.
    However at specific points in the applications usage we run into:
    ####<Dec 10, 2006 8:13:38 PM GMT> <Notice> <Stdout> <myserver> <examplesServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for

    Exception: weblogic.rjvm.PeerGoneException: ; nested exception is:

    Once we get this error all further calls to the thired party beans that use the stub fail with:

    So far the only real lead I have has come from turning up some debug parameters which reveals that the EOF at the root of the POE seems to occur shortly after the last of the 100 principles that belong to the user has been transmitted over the socket:

    I have asked our application team to try reducing the number of principles that can be assigned to the user to see if this has any effect on the problem. I have already tried, among others, incleasing the maximum message size for all protocols and ensureing and security jar files before the weblogic.jar file but so far I have had no luck. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

    <p>The root cause of the PGE in this instance was missing Principle classes in the remote JVM. An authenticated subject's (has our custom principles) security context is propagated to the remote JVM which throws a ClassNotFoundException, this is wrapped in the PGE.</p>

  • Hot deployment in WL 8.1

    Hi All,
    I am deploying the application from my development dir "c:\development" as
    exploded for WAR file and EJB modules as JAR files. What should I do to make
    the hot deployment work?
    My environment is: Win XP, IDE is JBuilder(also use Eclipse3.0), Weblogic
    8.1
    When I was googling, it brought me the CLASS-LOADER article in bea docs and
    I applied that making different nested class-loaders for EJB, WAR in one and
    the EJB module which is under development in a separate class-loader. It did
    not work. But I think there should be an easy way for hot deployment. If
    there is any link that talks about this please let me know. Your response is
    appreciated.
    Thanks,
    senthil

    Also adding to that, the server is started in development mode.

    I am not sure this a way to go for hot deployment. But what I did was
    changing the application and weblogic-application.xml files.
    My application.xml is like

  • Native performance pack/muxer in weblogic java client

    Is there any way to use the performance pack/native muxer in a client
    weblogic
    RMI program. We have a client callback into the WLAS server so we
    were hoping that there was a way to use the performance pack for
    the clients socket io???
    I know about increasing thread pool size on a client and socket readers
    but
    was hoping we could use native.
    This is weblogic 6.0 sp2
    Also if this is not available in 6.0 is it available in 6.1 or going to
    be available in > 6.1

    No, this is not currently available. FWIW, native io only helps when you
    have a lot of sockets.

  • How do you manually set the # of threads - weblogic.socket.Muxer in 8.1

    We are seeing some strange behavior with an application that has 9 threads as seen in the "Monitor all Active Queues..." I'd like to try to reduce this to 5, where would I set this?
    Thanks!

     Just Google for such things as this: http://www.directron.com/12to7.html
     You can also rig things yourself if you're inclined to do so and have the ability. You can finds instuctions by doing a web search.
     I made something a bit different using a +8V 0.5A voltage regulator just because I had the parts and felt like doing it.

  • Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16

    Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16
    I need to make wsdl web service call in my weblogic app server. The web service is provided by a 3rd party vendor. I keep getting error
    Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found
    Certificate chain received from ws-eq.demo.xxx.com - xx.xxx.xxx.156 was not trusted causing SSL handshake failure
    Validation error = 16
    From the SSL debug log, I can see 3 verisign hierarchy certs are correctly loaded (see 3 lines in the log message starting with “adding as trusted cert”). But somehow after first handshake, I got error “Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found”.
    Here is how I load trustStore and keyStore in my java program:
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore",”cacerts”);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword", trustKeyPasswd);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStoreType","JKS");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStoreType","JKS");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStore", keyStoreName);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword",clientCertPwd);      System.setProperty("com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.client.HttpTransportPipe.dump","true");
    Here is how I create cacerts using verisign hierarchy certs (in this order)
    1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignClass3G5PCA3Root.txt -alias "Verisign Class3 G5P CA3 Root"
    1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediatePrimary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Primary"
    1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediateSecondary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Secondary"
    Because my program is a weblogic app server, when I start the program, I have java command line options set as:
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore=SSLTrust.jks
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.enforceConstraints=strong
    That SSLTrust.jks is the trust certificate from our web server which sits on a different box. In our config.xml file, we also refer to the SSLTrust.jks file when we bring up the weblogic app server.
    In addition, we have working logic to use some other wsdl web services from the same vendor on the same SOAP server. In the working web service call flows, we use clientgen to create client stub, and use SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter to load trustStore and keyStore, and then bind the SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the webSerive client object and make the webservie call. For the new wsdl file, I am told to use wsimport to create client stub. In the client code created, I don’t see any way that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the client object, so I have to load certs by settting system pramaters. Here I attached the the wsdl file.
    I have read many articles. It seems as long as I can install the verisign certs correctly to web logic server, I should have fixed the problem. Now the questions are:
    1.     Do I create “cacerts” the correct order with right keeltool options?
    2.     Since command line option “-Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore” is used for web server jks certificate, will that cause any problem for me?
    3.     Is it possible to use wsimport to generate client stub that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to it?
    4.     Do I need to put the “cacerts” to some specific weblogic directory?

    I received a workaround by an internal message.
    The how to guide is :
    -Download the wsdl file (with bindings, not the one from ESR)
    -Correct it in order that the schema corresponds to the answer (remove minOccurs or other things like this)
    -Deploy the wsdl file on you a server (java web project for exemple). you can deploy on your local
    -Create a new logicial destination that point to the wsdl file modified
    -Change the metadata destination in your web dynpro project for the corresponding model and keep the execution desitnation as before.
    Then the received data is check by the metadata logical destination but the data is retrieved from the correct server.

  • WebLogic 10.3.2 console hangs when attempting configuration changes

    Hi,
    I am running:
    WebLogic 10.3.2
    Windows XP x86 64bit
    JRockit JVM 1.6.0
    I have done a fresh install (twice) and whenever I start the main admin console and try to create a new server or deployment it just sits there and hangs. There are no other servers setup just the defualt AdminServer in development mode. The only other variable is that I have versions 9.2 & 10.3.0 of WL installed - in seperate home locations however so they should not conflict.
    Here's a thread dump........

    Hi thanks for your reply. Very strangely without making any changes I left it alone for an hour or so and it seems to be ok after that!

  • Weblogic 10.3.2. application launch delayed by approximately 60 seconds

    Hi,
    The application was developed using Flex 2, java, hibernate and spring framework(ver. 2.0.3). It works fine in the oracle Application server oc4j based container.
    When deployed this application in weblogic 10.3.2, after entering the username and password, the first page is delayed by approximately 60/70 seconds. The full log file shows this time is consumed by HttpSessionContextIntegrationFilter. As you can see below in the log, the processing for this class stats at 10:46:23 and then it moves on to the next processing at 10:47:26. Please let me know, how I could resolve/troubleshoot this issue.
    [Mar 24 10:46:23] DEBUG (FilterChainProxy.java) - /efc-flex/efc.swf reached end of additional filter chain; proceeding with original chain
    [Mar 24 10:46:23] DEBUG (ExceptionTranslationFilter.java) - Chain processed normally
    [Mar 24 10:46:23] DEBUG (HttpSessionContextIntegrationFilter.java) - SecurityContextHolder now cleared, as request processing completed
    [Mar 24 10:47:26] DEBUG (FilterChainProxy.java) - Converted URL to lowercase, from: '/efc-flex/j_spring_security_logout'; to: '/efc-flex/j_spring_security_logout'
    [Mar 24 10:47:26] DEBUG (FilterChainProxy.java) - Candidate is: '/efc-flex/j_spring_security_logout'; pattern is /**; matched=true
    Thanks
    Murugan.

    Here is the dump for the issue above. Could anyone take a look at this and let me know, what the issue is..

  • Thread are gettin stuck causing the WebLogic server to hang

    We are developing an application for an US client which inclueds the following technology.
    - WebLogic 9.2 JMS (Foreign Server, Queue, Connection Factor, persistent Store)
    - Oracle 10g & Oracle 9i
    - J2EE (MDB)
    Different application uses different databases.
    After the server run for a few day it is getting a stuck thread and reported the same as a Hogging Thread in server -> monitoring -> thread. At this point the server hangs and stopped working with the status in 'warning' state (in the same page itself).
    The problem remains until the managed server is restarted.
    We have taken thread dump of different times and one of the error that we have got is attached below:

    Can you help us in resolving the issue? This causes the weblogic server to hung and eventually non responsive.
    Below are our java version details:
    java version "1.4.2_13"
    Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_13-b06)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_13-b06, mixed mode)
    Can you let me know how to proceed and what can be done to avoid this issue?
    Thanks a bunch Tom.

  • Weblogic em and console crashes in Forms 11gR2 domain

    Hi,
    I am working towards an APEX and/or Forms11gR2 environment from Forms and Reports 6i.
    Coming from a client-server background,with the concept of application servers etc totally unfamiliar territory.
    and a near-zero knowledge of Java its been a tough few weeks,but I have managed to install a test 11gR2 Windows 32 Oracle Database win 7,
    Weblogic 10_3_5 Admin server and a managed server on Windows Server 2008 32 bit 4GB memory,install and deploy
    APEX and the APEX Listener and also install Forms and Reports 11gR2 using a separate domain as required by the installer.
    The Weblogic Admin server and its managed server are stable and i can access and administer them no problem from a browser
    with em and console.
    My problem is with the domain created by Forms and Reports for deployment. I can login to the console and em of
    that domain but whenever I click on a link inside, the domain crashes with a "fatal error detected by the Java Runtime environment".
    The Domain name is FormsDomain.
    As I need to start the WLS_FORM and WLS_REPORT in the Forms Domain through the console, I am stuck.
    Can anyone help,I have pasted the output form the created log file:
    # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
    # java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: requested 131080 bytes for Chunk::new. Out of swap space?

    Hi,
    a hint anyone?
    The domains I created with JDeveloper work without any problems and are totally stable,
    while the one created through Oracle Forms just crashes all the time when accessed through the console
    or em.
    Is there any difference between these domains?
    They all use jdk160_24 and the Forms Domain crashes even when running alone, so it can't be lack of
    physical memory, I would think..
    I would have created a domain through JDeveloper and extend it, but extending a domain is only possible if
    the domain is created with Forms, so I am well and truly stuck here.
    Regards
    Leckraj

    Priya,
    Thank you so much for your response. I did test my database source from console and on the console it reported the test was successful, where in the admin logs has same exception logs. I did try creating a non XA connection and it did not have these errors. But my application did raise same exception while doing transaction.
    The application has around 250 EJB's that are written long ago and they all comply to EJB 1.1 spec. I am in the process of investigating the level of support for EJB 1.1 in Weblogic 11g.

  • Error while sending request to Webservice from Client app on Weblogic

    Hi Everybody,
    As part of web service development and deployment, I created one simple webservice and tried to deploy it on Apache Tomcat 5.5 and then weblogic 9.2. It worked fine on Apache Tomcat but it didn't work on Weblogic. Here are the steps I followed.
    1) Created a webservice within one Dynamic Web project
    2) Created a Client application
    3) Deployed both (by exporting war files from eclipse3.2) on Tomcat Apache locally on the same machine (localhost)
    4) Invoked client in the browser which allows to send simple request (Hello!) to Webservice
    5) Invoked webservice method call from the Client browser window
    6) Received success response back from webservice.
    Then, I deployed same war files on Weblogic 9.2 (different machine on the network)
    - Both got deployed successfully and reached to ACTIVE state on Weblogic and became ready to accept requests.
    - When invoked Client application on the browser, it worked.
    - From that client application browser window, I tried to invoke webservice call, I got the exception as below:
    exception: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
    I will greatly appreciate any advice on this. Let me know if more information is needed.

  • Weblogic 10.3.0 managed server + Spring Framework slow startup

    Hello
    Iam running weblogic 10.3.0 plus an application using spring framework on this:
    java.runtime.name = Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment
    java.runtime.version = 1.6.0_20-b02
    java.specification.name = Java Platform API Specification
    java.specification.vendor = Sun Microsystems Inc.
    java.specification.version = 1.6
    java.vendor = Oracle Corporation
    java.version = 1.6.0_20
    java.vm.info = compiled mode
    java.vm.name = Oracle JRockit(R)
    os.arch = amd64
    os.name = Windows 2003
    os.version = 5.2
    sun.arch.data.model = 64
    sun.io.unicode.encoding = UnicodeLittle
    sun.jnu.encoding = Cp1252
    sun.management.compiler = Oracle JRockit(R) Optimizing Compiler
    sun.os.patch.level = Service Pack 2
    Problem Description: A weblogic managed server is taking more than an hour to start, the delay is due to the deployments during startup, passing from STATE_PREPARED to STATE_ADMIN and to the initialization of the Spring root WebApplicationContex, which takes an avg of 7 mins per module deployed.
    I have a development server with the same application which starts in a few minutes, the only difference between the environments are tha the development server runs in 32bits.
    Any help will be appreciated
