Edit Business Components - need help

Hi,
I'm working with JHeadstart 10.1.2.0, UIX pages and I need some help from you.
This is the situation: my AppModuleApplicationStructure.xml has 4 Groups and 3 levels, but now, I created one more EO and VO in my Model (Application Module), so I could get another Group in the AppModuleApplicationStructure.xml after I run the JHeadstart Application Generator. The problem is that after I run the JHeadstart Application Generator I can't get my new Group.
How can I create another Group without starting a new project??
Can anyone help me on this?? Do I really need to create a new project every time I need to make some changes in my Application Module??
Please, anyone? Any ideias?

You can add the new Group by hand. Edit your Application Structure, right-click on the "Service" (yellow) icon and choose Add Base Group.

Editing business components

Hello guys, how can edit my business components ??
lets say i have added a new column to the table in database and i've made a new foreign key with another table, what is the best way to update these changes to my entities and view objects ?
am using JDev 12.c , thanks in advance ^^

right click on a business component package and select synchronize with db. This will add the missing column and new or changes rules to the EO. The updates to the VO you have to to by yourself (e.g. add column to VO).
And the new FK doesn't automatically result in new association or viewlink. These you have to do yourself.
If you have not written too much code you can delete the business components and create new ones from the tables again.

Not Saving Edit business components configration

Dear All,
i am trying to modfiy the jbo.ampool.sessioncookiefactoryclass to custom class value in jdeveloepr 11g p2 when i save and reopen jdeveloper displys original class which is oracle.jbo.common.ampool.DefaultSessionCookieFactory and discards new modfication.
it looks like a bug.
Any help will be appreciated.

Editing iphoto 5 - need help

I have some blurring pictures that I want to sharpen, which I use adjust and then use sharpness to make it clearer...but when I save the work I did...and go to the next picture, it ended up not saving my work and goes back to orginally blurring picture...how do I stop that??

After applying the sharpening and saving the edit open the file by Control-clicking on it and selecting "Edit in separate window". Once in there select 100% in the Size menu and check to see if you can see the sharpening that you applied. See: iPhoto: Sharpness adjustment may not be apparent when viewing at less than 100 percent. That may what you're experiencing.
As a test you can duplicate the file and sharpen the duplicate. Then bring each up in the 100% window to see if you can detect any difference.

'Busy' File Needs Help

I have an external firewire drive with a 'busy' file. The file is a Retrospect backup file and appears in every way intact, except that I cannot open it for writing.
Details:
1) The external drive contains only a file "Retrospect Data" on the root level of the drive. The file size is about 500GB.
2) stat -s on the file produces the following output:

5) At one point in time the drive was 'umount'ed via "umount /Volumes/OldBS1". Before performing the umount, I ran 'lsof | grep "/Volumes/OldBS1"' which did not list the file. (I'm aware that umount was an extremely bad idea and will never do it again).
6) Retrospect can read and recover files from the backup. There appears to be no problem opening the file for reading. However, it cannot be opened for writing.
7) Even if the file is copied to a new external hard drive, it still appears to be 'busy'.
Any ideas about how to fix this? It looks to me like the filesystem thinks that someone has an exclusive lock on the file but I don't know how to find or clear that lock.

DiskWarrior fixed a flag on the root level of the drive and everything works now.

Database objects not displaying in Business components wizard

I am trying to create new entity object based on a table using Entity Object Wizard. But I dont see that the tables,views,sysnonyms enabled and also do not get the list of tables in the dropdown
Following are the steps that I am following :
1] in the navigator, have right-clicked and selected the "New Entity Object " Wizard Option.
2] Entered the name and the package and in the schema object lov, do not see the list of all the tables at all and also the Database Schema is disabled.
I have connected to the database from JDeveloper using database connections, but do not while creating an Entity object. Can you pls help me resolve this.
Version of Jdeveloper is 11.5.10(CU3)

Select your project in Jdev, right click and select "Edit business components project". In the new window check the value used for connection.

I need help understanding how the Apple components connect to create a whole system across all my devices?
Is there a resource that describes current system and associated functionality?
For example:
Buy A, B, C to achieve "X"
You will need:
an internet provider which supports <specs>
add D to achieve "Y"
You will need:
an internet provider which supports <specs>
add "E" to achieve "Z"
You will need:
an internet provider which supports <specs>
For example, I am looking at the Gen 6 Airport extreme. For intended performance do I need broadband? if so what are the specs, or will basic internet service suffice? Do I need the internet provider's modem or does the Airport extreme replace that? And then I think, if I am doing this, I should also look at Apple TV....What do I need and Why? Then I look at the New Desk top coming out in the fall, and I think well, if I wait and get this, what does this component do for the system, and what becomes redundant? What does this awesome desktop do for my ability to sit and use a new macbook air when I travel or sit on the couch in my PJs?
If there was a place that plainly stated "if you buy the new dektop you can configure a system including only these components and achieve <this result> and by adding <additional components> you will achieve this result.
I have been to the genius store a few times, but I come out of there more confused unless I have SPECIFIC questions or already know what to buy.
A "System Configuration App" would be a really great sales tool--Just saying.

I have no idea what "fully optimized" means.
No Apple device will let you watch broadcast TV. The Apple TV is a good option for watching streaming TV from iTunes, NetFlix and Hulu. If you want to watch from other sources, you may need to look at other devices.
Any Mac computer or iPad will allow you to surf the web.
What business software?
Time Capsule is a good option for back ups.
Update what across all devices?
For accessing documents from all devices, a service like Dropbox is your best bet.
I have no idea what "step as far away from an internet provider as possible" means. If you want Internet access, you need an Internet provider.
Lighting fast speed for what? Processor? The specs are listed for all devices in the Online Store. Internet? We're back to the service provider.
Technology changes. The only way to keep pace with it beyond a couple of years is to buy new stuff.
The bottom line is you need to look at the specs for devices availble and at your budget and decide what best meets your needs. If you are unable to do that on your own, there are lot of technology consultants out there who will, for a fee, look at your exact situation, make recommendations and even handle the purchase and set up. Perhaps that would be the best route for you.

Help required building ADF-Swing/ADF-Faces using ADF Business Components

My question is in regards to how you can go about building a light swing application to an ADF model?
In particular if I were to say that we were developing a 3-tier project whereby we had a database tier, a series of EJB-ADF façade session beans to the database (middle-tier), and a swing client communicating with the session beans (view-controller tier), how would you go about developing these screens?
In particular can we develop these screens using ADF-Faces and also ADF-Swing?
The EJB session façade beans of course are ADF app modules with customised methods. The methods would return back customised DTO objects. These DTO objects are wrappers to row objects ADF would create. This would be mainly due to making these facade beans web service enabled (Oracle state that these methods cannot return oracle.jbo objects if they are to be web service enabled).
This would be typically deployed to an app server, like Oracle App Server 10G.
Could you please have a look at this, as I am doing a lot of research into this.

Now given the above code snippet, how could you turn this into an ADF-Swing/ADF Faces application so that if a user using the swing application enters an employee id, then the application will execute the query on the app server, the app server in turn returns the results to the client, and the client finally display the results. Typical MVC example.

One thing I have noticed is that when using ADF business components, when the app module returns a custom DTO object like the above example, it returns the data in a element structure according to the data control palette.
You don't generally ever need to create your own custom DTO's when working with ADF for use by client UI's. The only situation where can be necessary -- until we simplify this in the JDeveloper/ADF 11g release -- is when you desire to expose custom methods that can return sets/arrays of typed row structures through a web service. However, web services are not involved/required in building 3-tier Swing applications.
When dropping onto a page it does so like a string and doesnt give option to display the data in a read only form etc. Is there anything we need to do, to get the functionality.
It's more of what you don't need to do :-)
Just leverage the active data model that the ADF application module provides. You can read more about it in section 4.5 "Understanding the Active Data Model" of the ADF Developer's Guide for Forms/4GL Developers on the ADF Learning Center at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/adf/learnadf.html). Your UI's bind to view object instances in the data model, and your UI's are automatically kept up to date without needing to write methods that return data. I know that when dropping a view object you get this functionality. Also was wondering if we were to pass an object of thios type back to the model it might not give us the rich functionality like input forms, like what Oracle provides if we were to drop a enitity view object.
Just use the active data model and everything becomes totally easy, with no changes required to switch between local or three-tier deployment configurations.
Trying to do everything with hand-coded DTO beans is really going the hard way.

Hello, I had an Adobe Muse membership and I have changed it to a full Adobe Creative cloud membership. The problem is when I login in to business catalyst and try to push live a second site, it tells me as follows: Your Adobe Creative Cloud Membership has reached its limit for hosted sites.
I think business catalyst has not recognize jet that I have change my Adobe Creative Cloud Membership and does not allow me access to the 5 sites that are supposed to come with my adobe creative cloud.
Please help me refresh my status on business catalyst so I can publish my 5 sites.

Hi! I am about to buy a website flash template. Before I buy the template I want to make sure, that I am good enough to edit to my needs.

The photos are taken from a XML file. Open the XML file flashmo_247_photo_list' in dreamweaver and look at the code it'll be easy to fiqure out if you have ever done any sort of HTML coding.
Just incase you have'nt look for Example below taken from the xml file which was provided with the .fla file
