EEWB business object

Hi Experts,
I am a starter in WebUI. I read a blog - [Enhance CRM views EEWB|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/13987]
In above blog in create extension wizard they are giving input for EEW business object and extension type. Assume I have a account overview screen in CRM and I want to add a custom field for this screen. Can you please tell me how to find the EEW business object and extension type for this scenario. Is there some tcode or some table where EEW bus object for different CRM screens in maintained which can be used in EEWB Tcode. Please share your valuable inputs.
- Bharath

Hi bharth,
There is no separate Tcode to find out EEW business object and extension type ,
Each extension type contains a structure by enhancing the structure we add new field to that structure .
all related structure are grouped and assigned to one business object  . for example while working with employee details
builcontactperson search .
if you want to check all the relation's then enter tcode Genil_model_browser . there enter component set all and execute
there u can find all relations.

  • EEWB :  how to determine the business object and the extension type ?

    Hi,
I ask myself how to determine the business object and the extension type to use to add new fields in a new tab of a specific transaction ? what means each business object, does that correspond to a specific transaction ?
I need to add a new tab in the ‘BaMI’ business activity in transaction CRMD_ORDER just after the tab 'Actions' at header level.
Could you help me please to determine which business object and extension type I have to select during creation of the project and which business object category I have to select during creation of the extension (wizard) ?
    Thanks for your help,
    Marie

    Marie,
In order to determine what type of transaction you are extending, you will need to look at the customizing for the transaction.
    In the IMG:
    Goto:
Customer Relationship Management->Transactions->Basic Settings->Define Transaction Types.
You will then choose the transaction defined that you want to extend.  If you display the details of the transaction you will find an attribute called:
"Leading Transaction Category".  This tells you the general context in which the transaction is used.  The other item to view is the assignment of business transaction categories found in the maintenance screen.
This information general corresponds to one of the options that the EEWB will give you on the transaction type.
As far as extensions go, my recommendation is the following:
    - Use CUSTOMER_H Customer Header Extensions for any new fields at the header level.
    - Use CUSTOMER_I Customer Item Extensions for any new fields at the item level.
Unless you have a specific requirement to extend a segment of the transaction, I recommend placing all new fields in these segments.  The CUSTOMER_H & CUSTOMER_I segments are considered "standard" segments, that are already built into all the necessary API structures.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
    Good luck,
    Stephen

could you please give me a solution how to add new business objects? Following are the SAP Objects that you can Enhance Using EEWB:

    BUPA Business Partner
    BUPR Business Partner Relationships
    BUSINESS_ACTIVITY Business Activity
    BUSINESS_TRANSACTION CRM Business Transaction
    CATEGORY_ENHANCEMENT Category Extension
    COMPLAINTS Complaint
    COUNTERS Counter
    CRM_CASE СRM Case
    CRM_RPT Resource Planning Tool
    GRANTOR_PROJECT Grantor Project
    INDIVIDUAL_OBJECT Individual Object
    INSTALLED_BASE Installed Base
    LEAD Lead
    MARKETING_ELEMENT Marketing Element
    OPPORTUNITY Opportunity
    PPR Partner/Product Range
    RELTYPE Relationship Category
    SALES_CONTRACT Sales Contract

    SERVICE_CONFIRMATION Service Completion Confirmation
    SERVICE_CONTRACT Service Contract
    SERVICE_TRANSACTION Service Process
    SOLUTION_DATABASE Solution Database
But, i didn`t find how add it.

    Hi,
To my knowledge adding objects to EEWB is possible by customers, SAP controls which all objects enhancement are possible through EEWB, the objects which you have listed are supported by sap for enhancement via EEWB.
If you are on CRM 7.0 you can use AET which supports more objects that can be enhanced.(AXTREG - transaction for AET supported objects)
    Hope this helps.

  • Code for Custom Business Object and Adding/Updating Data

    Hi,
I would like to update/insert data thru Custom Business Object to sql Server.Pls let me know is it possible in MSA.If yes I would appreciate if you can share the code/Process in this forum.
    Thanks and Regds
    Harish

    Harish
Depending on what data you update you need to do the following:
If updating SAP tables or customer tables which are an extension of a SAP object like business partner, material, activity or similar:
    1. Create the extension of the data object via the easy enhancement workbench (EEWB). This will also create mapping functionality from MSA to CRM Server and extend the BDocs.
    2. Go to the BDoc modeler. Find the sBDoc for data exchange (type Write BDoc), that contains your object and check whether the new segment is there.
    3. In the Mobile Application Studio (MAS) you can now create a custom business object related to the standard sBDoc mentioned in 2 which is mapped to the new segment. This way the data exchange happens together with the main object
    4. Drag & drop the fields of the new BO to a new tile, and link that tile to the existing main object in the UI via the appropriate relation.
If you would create a new business object / BDoc for a set of attributes belonging to a main object and not use an extension of the existing BDoc then the data would get its own flow and when replicating it would not come together with the main data. This can lead to data inconsistencies and in surplus effort administrating this data.
If you have your own objects not related to a SAP object, you can do it the following way:
    1. Create your own table(s)
    2. Create a Write sBDoc on the table(s)
    3. Create BO's on each BDoc segment / table
    4. (as above)
    Hope this helps,
    Kai

  • Data federator in  business objects

    Hi,
What is the use of data federator in business objects.
    Regards,
    G

    HI,
The only option in this case is to 1) use Business Objects' Data Federator to bring XYZ data and BW (new) data together, 2) creating a relational universe, and 3) creating Crystal / WEBI reports using the relational universe; see Picture 1.
    >> You can also combine the data by using a MultiProvider in BW which is access the data in BW and the data in the legacy system and an additional alternative is to move all the data into BW.
After 20 years goes by, and we no longer need to report on data housed in XYZ anymore, the environment will be turned off.
    1) When this happens, wouldn't we want to remove Data Federator and the relational universe from the scenario ?
    >> That depends on the approach you took

  • SAP Log on into Business Objects server not working (Error FWB 00014)

    Hello,
I recently installed Business Objects XI 3.1 Edge series, I am able to logon to enterprise and everything is working fine. I am even able to import roles from SAP system but I have two problems.
    1. Logging on to enterprise using SAP user: I am getting the following error message when I choose SAP in the Athentication and enter SAP username and password and click log on.
"Account Information Not Recognized: All of your system's 0 Concurrent Access Licenses are in use at this time or your system's license key has expired. Try again later or contact your administrator to obtain additional licenses. (FWB 00014)".
    2. Logging on to SAP system through SAP Logon pad: When I enter my username and passord in SAP system from the same server as I installed BusinessObjects I am getting a run time error.
Did any one of you had the same problem or does any one of you have any clue how to solve this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I assume that you have a key for named licences (You can check this in the CMC under Licence keys).
What you need to do is to go in the CMC, navigate to Authentication->SAP->Options and select the Named users option.

    Thanx in advance.
    Nilesh Hiwale

    Hi,
BAPI's are associated with Business Objects and also they are RFC enabled.
But RFC's are the FM's which can be called from external systems, those FM's can be used in many places based on the applications..
    Check these Links
whats the difference between BAPI and RFC??

  • BI-IP and Business Objects?

    Please refer to the thread:
    BI-IP and Business Objects?

    Ian,
reading through the messages, there seem to be a few questions that are raised.  After attending SAP Financials 2008, here is what I got from it:
    1. IP vs BPC:  IP is still in production and will be developed (no commitment on time though.  I was told somewhere between 18-24 months before it goes to maintenance mode).  There is some functionality difference from BPC and right now these are two separate products.  There is a talk of a possible integration in the "distant" future
    2. BPC is in process of being developed for BI, but currently it is only running on top of Microsoft SQL server. The BI version is slated to be released June 28th, but majority of the experts are fairly pessimistic about that date.
Now, the main question is what will happen to IP when BEx and BO tools converge into one - based on my understanding, we are going to see ADDITIONAL functionality.  Since all the WAD and Excel activities are based on BEx API's, it is highly unlikely that they are going to be dismissed in the new product.  The process in which we assign functions/commands to the planning model might change, but I think only for the best

  • How to WorkDay() Excel Function in Business Objects Web Intelligence 12.2.7

    Hi,
I am calculating OTD SLA metrics using the Business Object Web Intelligence, but I am stuck with the WorkDay() how to use this in BO, as it is available in Excel.  Requirement is that I need to add business days (Saturdays and Sundays should not be considered) to a particular date. Greatly appreciate if some one can help me immediately as this is high priority right now and need to complete it <REMOVED_BY_MODERATOR>. Thank you, Shiv.   Thanks in advance.
Edited by: Pravender on Nov 22, 2010 11:18 AM

Thank you for trying to reply.
What exactly I need is that:
    Example:
11/19/2010  +  3  this should give me the date 11/24/2010 which is actually  excluding Sat and Sun and adding only the business days to the date.
    Please provide me full formula
    Thanks in advance, Shiv

  • Values from Structure used in Form to be transferred to a Business Object

    Hello,
I have defined a structure (zcsks) in the workflow container. This structure is used in two forms (Change and Approve).
With the approval (button pressed on approve form) the data entered in the structure zcsks has to be transferred to the business object ZBUS0012 in the workflow container, so that the business object method CREATE can be executed automatically.
The values for the structure ZCSKS is already transferred from the form to the workflow container automatically.
My question now is how I can transfer values from ZCSKS to ZBUS0012 and execute its method CREATE automatically ?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hello,
"Value of expression '&_WI_OBJECT_ID.COSTCENTER&' cannot be used as the target of an assignment"
This is because you are trying to assign a value to an attribute of the main object of a workflow (_WI_OBJECT_ID).
That won't work. I thought you meant you had an object in the workflow container and wanted to
    instantiate that.
When the workflow is created the main object is already instantiated so you can't change it.

  • Performance issue with Business Objects Java JRC API in CRXI R2 version

A report is developed using java JRC API in CR XI release 2. When I generate the report in the designer, it took less than 5 seconds to display the results in crystal report viewer inside the designer. But in the QA environment, when I generate the same report from the application, it takes almost 1 to 1.5 minutes to display the same results in PDF. I also noticed that if the dataset contains bigger volume of data, then the reports are taking even longer almost 15 to 20 minutes.
While generating the report from the application, I noticed that most of time is taken during the execution of the com.crystaldecisions.report.web.viewer.ReportExportControl Object method as shown in following line of code
    exportControl.processHttpRequest(request, response, context, null)
We thought the delay in exporting the report to PDF might be the layout of the report and data conversion to PDF for such a bigger volume of data.
Then we investigated the issue and experimented quickly to generate the same report with same result set data from the application using XML, XSL and converted the output XSL-FO to PDF using Apache FOP (Formatting Objects Processor) implementation. The time taken to export the report to PDF is less than 6 seconds. By doing this experiment, it is proved that the issue is not with conversion of data to PDF but it is the performance problem with Business Objects Java JRC API in CR XI R2.
In this regard, I searched for the above issue in the SAP community Network Forums -> Crystal Reports and Xcelsius -> Java Development -> Crystal Reports. But I did not find any answers or solutions for this kind of issue in the forums.
Any suggestion, hint in this matter is very much appreciated.

Ted, The setReportAppServer problem is resolved. Now I could able to generate the report with hardcoded values in the SQLs in just 6 seconds where as the same report was generated in CRXI R2 in 1 minute 15 seconds as mentioned in the earlier message.
But, our exisiting application passes the parameter values to the SQLs embedded in the report. For some reason the parameters are not being passed to the report and the report displays only the labels without data.
As per the crj 12 samples codes, the code is written as shown below.
    1. Created ReportClient Document
    2. SetReportAppServer
    3. Open the report
    4. Getting DatabaseController and switching the database connection at runtime
    5. Then setting the parameters as detailed below
    ParameteFields parameterFieldController = reportClientDoc.getDataDefController().getParameterFieldController();
    parameterFieldController.setCurrentValue("", "paramname",paramvalue);
    parameterFieldController.setCurrentValue("", "paramname",paramavalue);
    byteArrayInputStream = (ByteArrayInputStream)reportClientDoc.getPrintOutputController().export(ReportExportFormat.PDF);
    6. Streaming the report to the browser
Why the parematers are not being passed to the report?  Do I need to follow the order of setting these parameters?  Did I miss any line of code for setting Params using  crj 12?
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

  • BAPIs or Function Modules for Links between different Business Objects

    Hi experts,
I am accessing an SAP CRM 5.0 system from outside via remote function calls.
I have the GUID of a business partner and would like to find other business objects
that are related to this business partner.
    For example:
    - Which activities are relevant for this business partner?
    - Which orders were placed by this business partner?
    - Which leads or opportunities are linked to this business partner?
    - Which products did this business partner order?
Is it possible to get this information by calling BAPIs or other RFC function modules?
    Regards,
    Karsten

After studying lots of documentation and trying to understand the BOL and GenIL concepts,
I finally found a function module which meets my demands. With function module
CRM_GENIL_GET_QUERY_RESULT you can execute a Search Object of the GenIL,
    and it is remote-enabled.
By checking transaction GENIL_MODEL_BROWSER and choosing component set "ALL"
you get a list of all defined Search Objects. The Search Object that finds all orders of a
    business partner is "BTQuery1O".
    DATA gt_parameter_list TYPE crmt_name_value_pair_tab.
    DATA gs_parameter_list TYPE crmt_name_value_pair.
DATA gt_data_hdr       TYPE TABLE OF crmt_genil_rfc_data_hdr.
DATA gt_data_attr      TYPE TABLE OF crmt_genil_rfc_data_attr.
DATA gt_data_rels      TYPE TABLE OF crmt_genil_rfc_data_rel.
DATA gt_data_rel_obj   TYPE TABLE OF crmt_genil_rfc_data_rel_obj.
    gs_parameter_list-name  = 'BP_NUMBER'.
    gs_parameter_list-value = '4000000011'.
    APPEND gs_parameter_list TO gt_parameter_list.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CRM_GENIL_GET_QUERY_RESULT'
      EXPORTING
        iv_query_name                = 'BTQuery1O'
        it_parameter_list            = gt_parameter_list
      TABLES
        et_data_hdr                  = gt_data_hdr
        et_data_attr                 = gt_data_attr
        et_data_rels                 = gt_data_rels
        et_data_rel_obj              = gt_data_rel_obj
      EXCEPTIONS
        error_occured                = 1
        OTHERS                       = 2.
Before you can use the function module, you have to call function module CRM_GENIL_INIT
    to initialize the GenIL.

  • Business object type for parked invoices

    Hi,
We are using documentum to store documents that have been attached to business object types in SAP. The business object types are configured in transaction OAC3 to point to a pre-configured content repository.
Having this configuration allows the object type to use the "services for objects" option, enabling it to store attachments.
The business object types for invoices have been configured and we are able to store attachments. However this does not seem to work for "Parked invoices". The configuration in the "services for objects" component is not there and the feature to store the attachment is disabled.
As the configuration needs to be done for all object types that need to be able to store attachments, maybe someone here can indicate what the object type is for parked invoices. Alternatively, maybe there is a way to look up the various business object types.
Any help you can provide is appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Kind Regards,
    Giwan

    Hi ,
    Thank You for your reply.
I created inquiry . it takes BUS2031.But BUS2031 is used for quotation. But that inquiry is open in VA12(Change Inquiry) Transaction, not open in VA22(Change Quotation).
Is there any setting for BOR object types to Document Types.
Please give me a reply as early as possible. It's very urgent.

  • Two Business Objects to fill a Data Grid/table using Anchors?

    Hi,
I have a SAP standard tile were a table (grid) is filled by an Business Object. I want to add an additional column and retrieve the value from another Business Object.
    My questions
    1) Can I use Anchors to automatically set the relationship between two Business Objects A & B, so that I can just Drag & Drop an additional field from Business Object B to the DataGrid of Business Object A in the design screen without writing additional code?
    2) Some BO's do come with a predefined relationship to other BO's, but in the case of I have to write a supply function do I have to use a specific "Data Source Type" such as "Business Object", "BusinessQuery" or "Business CollectioN"?
    3) I already tried to write a supply function, but I realized that the system does return for some BO's or BS's a object instance, if I call "gFactory.newBusinessQuery". Is there any logic/restriction behind?
I know I can use RowLoaded2 and a unbound column, but I want to know if this approach is also possible?
    Thank you for any help,
    Regards,
    Andreas

    Hi Andreas,
The answer to your question is YES. You can very well do it without any changes at the code level.
The scenerio can be implemented using a concept called JointField Mapping in MAS.
    Scenerio 1 :
If you want to display the extra field from another BO in a list tile on the click of a search button from the search tile , then
    Please do the following :
    1. Select the Busines Query that you have associated to the search tile and go to properties from the View Designer.
    2. In the properties, Click on the Joint Field Mapping and select the BO where the extra field id present and select the primary key, Segment Field associated, (extra field)BO Property that you want to display in the list tile.
    2. Add a new control (new Field) in the List tile - ie, From the Toolbox (Tileset COntrols).
3.Go to properties of the newly added control. Associate the anchor as the same achor as the list tile was pointing to earlier. for eg : Y_BOCAPGEN.
    4. Then Go to BCOLFieldName property and give the property name as the newly added BO property name(New field).
After everything is modelled, You will be able to see the extra field in your application!!!!
NOTE : Ofcourse, After the Successful generation.
    Scenerio 2 :
If you want to display an Extra Field in a Detail tile,
    1. Go to Relationship of the BO from the Detail tile and go to properties.
    2. In the properties, You can find the Joint Field Mapping porperty.
    3. This property is again modelled as explained in scenerio 1.
Hope, It would have definetly helped and answered your query.
    Have a good day!!
    Best Regards,
    Vignesh Ravikumar.
