EF Designer from Database with association

Hi,
I hope I selected the right category and forum otherwise let me know.
I have simply added a EF From database workflow and it generated all the tables all right on the designer. Now I'm trying to add an association from Customer to Contact and the first thing I get when I compile is Property is not mapped. See image
below. What do I have to do ? I don't see the CustomerId in the mapping below so I can't map it or there's something I don't understand

Now I deleted the association and the CustomerId field in Contact and build then I tried creation the assosiation again and now I have a different message
Error 1 Error 3004: Problem in mapping fragments starting at line 135:No mapping specified for properties Contact.CustomerId in Set Contacts.
An Entity with Key (PK) will not round-trip when:
Entity is type [CustomerManagerModel.Contact]

Displaying image from Database with php

I'm working on a website that displays videos courses and tutorials as my final project
and I'm working with "Flash builder 4" the database with mySQL and the application server with php
Basically, the goal is to display a datagrid that shows the manager of the website in column all the information stored on the "Course" table
the structure of the table is :
Course (id,img,src,title,description)
-id : primary key
-img : path to a photo of course {for example picture of JAVA}
-src : path to the playlist file {xml file}
-title : String
-description : String too
I already succeeded to display all these contents on a DataGrid, but not with the image, I couldn't display an imageon its column using the path stored on the database, I used a DataRenderer to do that, and here is my code for Renderer and the DataGrid.mxml

How can I access to the path of the image, I tried to write "data.img" instead of "data" as img is the name of the column in the database that stores the path but it wasn't successful.
I know that it not complete statement "data" because "data" is a reference to what the DataGrid provides of information that gets from the (CreationComplete) event.
Question :
- Can you please help me with this so I can complete displaying images by accessing to what is on the column in tha DB so I can manipulate my datas that is stored there ?
==> I still have some questions about the buttons to update and delete datas fomr the DataGrid, but, until now I need to access successfully to the photo and display it

It's just question of how to access the string stored in the variable "data", when I used XML I just type the path to the repeated element like this :

IMPORT from database with dynamic parameter list

Iu2019m having problems during import from a cluster table.
I wanu2019t to do an import with a dynamic parameter list, but I cannot get it to work.

Display image from database with jspSmart

I think that it may help you get image from database. I used two jsp page. First one is getphoto.jsp that makes as table based in sql statment and invoke the getimage.jsp this last returns images based on
the getphoto.jsp PhotoId.

Dynamic menus from database with URL parameters

Hello!
I'm trying to build a set of dynamic menus that would be based on data from the database. I need to have a menu item for every database row, and all the items point to the same page, but each with its own parameter in the item's URL. The URLs in the menus would look like ".../form.jspx?recordID=xx", where xx is read from the database.
Right now, I can display the menu, everything works fine, but the problem is in the PageMap section of Databindings.cpx - ADF needs to have every URL mapped to a page definition. So even if I have "form.jspx" mapped to "form_PageDef", I have to explicitly tell the server that "form.jspx?recordID=xx" is also mapped to "form_PageDef" by putting this into Databindings.cpx.
Of course, if I have to manually enter page mappings for all the record IDs that appear in the menu, it's not really a "dynamic menu" anymore. Does anyone know of a way to avoid this problem?
Can I somehow change Databindings.cpx programmatically? Can I change page mappings dynamically? Help, please? I'm very grateful for any and all info.

Hi Vex,
I'm not sure whether you'll find a solution as "Dynamic" as you are describing with dynamic entries via the DataBindings.cpx. Menu's work quite differently in JSF (See section 19.2 on dynamic menus in the developers guide). You may need to get the solution halfway.
1) Drive the menu contents / structure from the database via some backing bean. The sample application that comes with JDeveloper has a fixed menu structure via exposed beans. You'd have to adapt this to be driven off of a managed bean. This takes a bit of work, but it can be accomplished. You'll need to loop through your database records via the Iterator to build the content of your menuModel
2) Let JDeveloper create the entries in DataBindings.cpx to map the pageDef.xml file to each jspx file. (Manual). The pageDef.xml file gets interpreted during the initContext phase of the ADF Lifecycle, and the DataBindings.cpx tells this phase where to look to create the runtime version of the pageDef.xml (See developer's guide 13.2.3).
3) Manually setup your faces-config with the right outcomes.
4) have the database return the outcomes and viewIds, among other values.
5) do the appropriate thing in your JSPX to make use of this menu module backing bean.
In this case, you'll control the content and structure of the menu via the DB. However, you'd have to make sure the data in your DB matches the definitions of the jspx viewid's and outcomes.
However, there is a quite a bit of work involved to do this. I.e. db design, backing bean for menu module, disciplined co-ordination between DB and JSF, etc...

Populating a pdf from database with ASP

Hi,
I have been tasked to see if it is possible to fill in

several others dynamically from a database.
Does anyone have an idea if it can be done via ASP or am I
looking at
recreating each form with HTML and filling in that way.
My main issue with this is if the government will accept the
generated
forms that way.

As a .gover myself, I have to deal with thie all the time.
The core problem is that .gov is *still* run on paper-forms,
and solutions
like these are nothing but gigantic hacks that don't actually
solve the core
issue: distributing and collecting data electronically.
If you zoom into that particular PDF example, you will note
that it is not
'electronic' at all.
It's nothing more than a scanned piece of paper.
So, to get this to where the client would be happy, you're
going to have to
first add PDF form fields to this PDF. Then be sure to put in
the
apporpriate labels and extra text to make it accessible. Then
you need to
create the data-base back end. Then you need to create an
interface to get
the data to and from the PDF.
Then you're done.
Until they decide to slightly change the form.
Then look out.
Ultimately, this is a really dumb way to go about it.
Granted, it'll be a
big chore to convince them of that. ;o)
Ideally, you'd take the simple route, as simple is often
better. Make a web
form. Let people fill it out online. Once filled in, give
them a printable
HTML form back.
Adobe has done an AMAZING job of firmly getting their foot in
the .gov door,
and it's going to be REALLY hard to pry that foot out, but
hopefully we'll
get there some day.

javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: purge_calls:1446 reason=1 state=5
I checked the reports server log and the job status is “Terminated with error: <br>REP-56109: Job 14 is terminated due to connection timeout.”
Could anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

With respects to the following:
The bit you'll have most diffulty with is the attachment, because you can't be sure that
the directory path specified is one that the database can read from. You can probably
resolve this by using some java to move the file to a directory which utl_file can see.Another alternative is to specify a location on then database server where all file attachments MUST be copied to and the define and Oracle DIRECTORY (CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY [dir_name] AS '/dir/name/on/files/system';) that references this location. When you attach a file to an email, then you only have to refer to the DIRECTORY for the file location.

Unable to fetch records from database with huge selection screen

Hi all,
I have 20 fields from selection screen.
I have a z table with these 20 fields .
Now with the values entered in the selection screen i have to fetch the records from the z table.
All fields in the selection screen are not mandatory, the user may or may not enter the values.
I have to fetch the records based on the values entered.
I wrote a select with where condtion to all those 20 fields. but its not retreving the records.
All the fields in the selection screeen are parameters.
Could you help me on this, please. I wrote in the where conditon with field1 = value AND field 2 = value.. etc... field20 = value.
Please guys help me out.

I have a problem with the select query.
as i said i have 20 fields, ranges are working for few fields.
But i have couple of fields as descriptions. So i have to fetch the records for pattenr as well.
Means, user can enter in the description............. like    "ab". So in the description if there is anything   with 'ab' it should fetch.
it works with a LIKE statement with % symbols.
but it doenst work with   ranges and patterns in same select. I mean the below is not working.

r_obj, r_pro are ranges and s_des is the pattern, ex: %ab%.              so in this case how it has to be done... could you please help me on this.. the other fields could be blank( r_obj and r_pro)..

How to specifiy the provider to be Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client when creating a dynamic connection string with EF Code First from Database?

I am trying to use the relatively new Code First from Database with the newest EF (6.x) and on an Oracle database (11g, but I have installed the newest ODTwithODAC). First of all, it works fine as long as the connection string is inside the App.Config file. But when I try to build it dynamically in the C# code (or rather, statically at the moment) it fails. I have it working with a dynamically built connection string when doing Model from Database though, so I'm at a loss right now.
First, I have created a second constructor for the context class that takes a string and does base(connectionString). Then I build the connection string via
OracleConnectionStringBuilder oracleBuilder = new OracleConnectionStringBuilder();
oracleBuilder.DataSource = "TEST.BLA.COM";
oracleBuilder.UserID = "ABC";
oracleBuilder.Password = "abc";
oracleBuilder.PersistSecurityInfo = true;
string connection = oracleBuilder.ToStrin();
Now trying to open an EntityConnection by giving to it this provider-specific connection string (or even the static one from the App.Config) doesn't work; I get "keyword not supported: user id"). Trying it by creating a context and giving this connection string doesn't work either. I'm pretty sure that this is because I didn't specify the provider to use; after all, it should use the Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client provider and not an SQL Server based one.
I then tried to get around this by using an EntityConnectionStringBuilder on top and specifying the provider keyword there, but then I get "keyword not supported: provider" when using it in the context constructor, and "the 'metadata' keyword is always required" when using it with the EntityConnection constructor.
As I said above: I bet it's the provider that I have to specify somehow, but I don't know how. The code that does work is the following:

When I read context.Database.Connection.ConnectionString, it is exactly the provider-specific connection string I created above, but I don't know where to specify the provider again. Do you know of any way to do this? Certainly there must be one.

Now trying to open an EntityConnection by giving to it this provider-specific connection string (or even the static one from the App.Config) doesn't work; I get "keyword not supported: user id"). Trying it by creating a context and giving this connection string doesn't work either. I'm pretty sure that this is because I didn't specify the provider to use; after all, it should use the Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client provider and not an SQL Server based one.
I then tried to get around this by using an EntityConnectionStringBuilder on top and specifying the provider keyword there, but then I get "keyword not supported: provider" when using it in the context constructor, and "the 'metadata' keyword is always required" when using it with the EntityConnection constructor.
As I said above: I bet it's the provider that I have to specify somehow, but I don't know how. The code that does work is the following:
using (var context = new Model())
context.Database.Connection.Open();
context.Database.Connection.Close();
When I read context.Database.Connection.ConnectionString, it is exactly the provider-specific connection string I created above, but I don't know where to specify the provider again. Do you know of any way to do this? Certainly there must be one.
PS: I have also posted this question on http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27979454/ef-code-first-from-database-with-managed-oracle-data-access-dynamic-connection because it is quite urgent and I'd like to use Code First from Database. Otherwise I'd have to go "back" to using Model from Database again, which is not ideal because we have updatable views where the .edmx-file has to be edited after every reload of the model, while with Code First from DB inserting into the view automatically works.

but my requirement is what ever records fetching from database with same employee number is one record that is same employee number dept names grouped I will show it as one record how to fetch records from data base.

Have a error in getting the values from database randomly

I am new member to this community and new to java programming, i am the one of them who got benefited through this site , with that hope i am asking u to clear my doubt.
Actually i want to get the data from database randomly, i dont have problem either in database connection and generating random number,its working fine. but when i have to get the data from database with generated random no using absolute function , i am getting an exception
eg : rs.absolute(2);
i could not move to the second row of my result set.
not only absolute function whatever the function i am using except next method, getting exception.

I cant back up my all data from database

how can i take backup my all data from database with large object library (blob)
when i want back up i writing this statement on "cmd"
exp dbas/dbas@ddds file=D:\dms\ddfm.dmp
so it's only just backup data without large object library, any table contain large object library it can't take it
so i would like take backup all data from database
