Effect error, Is there a fix for this?

Hi, I have recently been having a lot of Problems with After Effects CC, but now I have come across another one, When I try to add the "Ramp" effect (AE Default) this error appears:
I was wondering if there was a fix for this as this happens with many other Default Effects.
Thank you in advance.

Without knowing anything about your system, your project, your settings and whatnot nobody can even begin to guess. This error could indicate an issue with your footage or the fast previews, but then again a simple reinstall may fix it...
