  • Interactive report with single row select

    Hi,
    Is it possible to create an interactive report that has a single row select column i.e. you can only select one row and when you select another row it deselects any row selected before, simular to a list of values but with the functionionality of an IR report.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Try adding this to the query of your report:
    select ...
           apex_item.radiogroup(1, some_unique_column) sel
    from ...You didn't say how you want to use this, but when the page is submitted the array apex_application.g_f01 may contain either none or exactly one element, which will be the some_unique_column value of the selected row.

  • Discoverer 11g Workbook Fails With Single row subquery returns more than 1

    All -
    We are using discoverer-11g workbook using EBS 12.1.3 integration
    We are seeing below error message only for few users on all workbooks in discoverer.
    ORA-01427 Single row subquery returns more than one row
    EBS Version : 12.1.3
    Discoverer Version : 11.1.1.6
    Database Version : 11.2.0.3
    Please advise on this
    Regards
    VSH

    Hi,
    If it is happening for only a few users then the problem may be caused by security conditions built into the query. However, you need to give us some information about the SQL the workbooks are running. Do you get this error even for the very simple queries?

  • Master/Detail in create mode with single row insert

    Hi,
    My jheadstart version is 10.1.3.2.52
    I want to insert master and detail together on same page in create mode.
    I have these settings:
    - Master Layout: Form
    - Detail Layout: Table
    -"Single-Row Insert Allow" (Checked)
    -"Single-Row Update Allow" (Checked)
    -"Single-Row Delete Allow" (Checked)
    -"Multi-Row Insert Allow" (unchecked)
    -"Multi-Row Update Allow" (unchecked)
    -"Multi-Row Delete Allow" (unchecked)
    -"Show Add Row Button" (Checked)
    When I Generate and run Application and click New Button, my detail table don't have any New Button.
    Then I set "New Rows" to 1 for detail table and generate and run again, but problem still there!
    Can you help me?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply.
    But I don't want multi-insert row be enabled(because of some logical reasons that forced by my scenario).
    If I enable multi-insert row, even without "new row button" and just set "new row = 1", when user insert first row and click save button, one more empty row automatically add to detail table. I don't want this behavior. I want only one empty row for my detail table in create mode.
    thanks again.

  • Several reports on joined master-detail tables with single row source

    I have 1 master table (Fixed Assets) and several datail tables (Improvements, Depreciation, ...)
    I need to create several reports based on them all with criteria
    'Select ALL from Master and join details
    /1 total row from details for 1 master row/
    filtered by [on_date <= report_date]'
    How to do it better and not copy same code in every report?
    As mentioned on this forum, ApEx is not able to use RefCursor as row source for ApEx reports
    So I tried this Tom Kyte's example:
    create type apex_user.myRecordType as object
    (seq int,
    a int,
    b varchar2(10),
    c date
    Create Or Replace Type Apex_User.Mytabletype As Table Of Apex_User.Myrecordtype;
    create or replace function Apex_User.my_function return Apex_User.myTableType
    Is
    l_data Apex_User.myTableType;
    Begin
    l_data := Apex_User.myTableType();
    for i in 1..5
    loop
    L_Data.Extend;
    l_data(i) :=Apex_User.myRecordType(i, i, 'row ' || i, sysdate+i);
    end loop;
    Return L_Data;
    End;
    Select *
    from TABLE (cast(Apex_User.my_function() as Apex_User.mytableType))
    Where C > Sysdate+1
    Order By Seq Desc
    SEQ A B C
    5 5 row 5 22.08.2010
    4 4 row 4 21.08.2010
    3 3 row 3 20.08.2010
    2 2 row 2 19.08.2010
    4 Rows Selected
    - and it really works from ApEx reports.
    The questions are:
    1) is this the best solution for my task (one centralized code for several reports with parameter filtering detail tables)?
    2) how to change example properly to have here -
    loop
    L_Data.Extend;
    l_data(i) :=Apex_User.myRecordType(i, i, 'row ' || i, sysdate+i);
    end loop;
    - simple SELECT from my MASTER-DETAILS joined tables?

    Hi,
    if (row != null)
    Row masterRow = row;
    vo.setCurrentRow(masterRow);
    // not needed : getMesReponsesPourTiersVO1().executeQuery();
    You shouldnot execute the child VO after setting current row in master VO.
    When the current row is set in master VO, then the child rows will get refreshed automatically.
    Cheers,

  • Need query to convert Single Row Multiple Columns To Multiple rows

    Hi,
    I have a table with single row like below
    Column0 | Column1 | Column2 | Column3 | Column4|
    Value0    | Value1    | Value2    | Value3    |  Value4  |
    Am looking for a query to convert above table data to multiple rows having column name and its value in each row as shown below
    Column0 | Value0
    Column1 | Value1
    Column2 | Value2
    Column3 | Value3
    Column4 | Value4
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi ykMohan,
    Dynamic UNPIVOT can be applied in this case as well.
    CREATE TABLE dbo.T(ID INT,Column0 VARCHAR(99),Column1 VARCHAR(99),Column2 VARCHAR(99),Column3 VARCHAR(99),Column4 VARCHAR(99))
    INSERT INTO T VALUES
    (1,'Value0','Value1','Value2','Value3','Value4'),
    (2,'Value0','Value1','Value2','Value3','Value4');
    DECLARE @columns VARCHAR(MAX)
    SELECT @columns=
    STUFF(
    SELECT ','+ COLUMN_NAME FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS WHERE TABLE_NAME ='T' AND TABLE_SCHEMA='dbo' AND Column_name NOT IN('ID') FOR XML PATH('')
    ),1,1,'')
    DECLARE @Sql NVARCHAR(MAX)
    SET @Sql =
    'SELECT ID, UPT.col,UPT.val FROM T
    UNPIVOT
    (val FOR col IN('+@columns+')) AS UPT'
    EXEC sp_executeSQL @Sql
    DROP TABLE T

  • INSERTED Table - When it gets populated with single or multiple rows?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to create a trigger which then insert to a table. i'm wondering when does the INSERTED table gets populated with single or multiple rows?
    Should I always assume that the INSERTED Table will contains several rows? What does the scope of the INSERTED table in the trigger, isn't based on the user session?
     The reason why i asked this is because as far as i know inserted table may contain several table when the trigger fires which is why I use cursor to insert  records in the table ( there's a behind why i use cursor).
    But if the inserted table will only contain a single record during the session of the trigger then i can avoid the cursor.
    Thanks.

    But since we control the transaction process and we know for a fact that user will only be able to save a record one at a time, do we still expect multiple rows? I just want to have a clear concept on the INSERTED table.
    ...and then the DBA or someone else sees fit to enter a number of rows directly from a query window. And don't laugh. That is bound to happen sooner or later.
    However, just because this can (and will) happen does not mean that you need to handle it on equal footing with the normal case user entering data through the application. What you cannot permit yourself to is to drop the DBA case on the floor, that is write
    the trigger as if there would either be single-row inserts and produce incorrect results for multi-row inserts.
    But, yes, allowing yourself to use a cursor, if you want to reuse the existing stored procedure is feasible. That is also the more drastic solution suggested by Tom to add an explicit check that disallows multi-row inserts.
    Finally, permit me to comment on this:
    Additionally, it's  difficult to use the code below as i need to pass the identity id of tbl_A to tbl_B
    You can use the OUTPUT clause to capture the values, but that requires that you have something you can map the identity values to in the columns you insert, and this is not always the case. However, there is a lot simpler solution to the problem: don't
    use IDENTITY. IDENTITY is one of these over-used and over-abused features in SQL Server. You need it when you want to support high-concurrency inserts, because rolling your own requires a serialisation point. But with a moderate insertion frequency, IDENTITY
    only gives you headache.

  • Single-row subquery returns more than one row - help with update

    Hello,
    I know this a probably a well documented question but when I checked the search I couldn't find anything relevant to my needs.
    I am getting the single-row error when I run this query, i have tried a where exists clause and where column_name in to no avail. Can anyone put me right with this?
    My code is:
    UPDATE test_sales
    SET total =
                (SELECT
                        p.list_price * t.quantity
                  FROM
                        test_sales t,
                        price p
                  WHERE
                        t.product_code IN p.product_id
                  AND
                        TO_DATE(TO_CHAR(t.order_date,'DD-MON-RR')) >= TO_DATE(TO_CHAR(p.start_date,'DD-MON-RR'))
                  AND
                        TO_DATE(TO_CHAR(t.order_date,'DD-MON-RR')) <= TO_DATE(TO_CHAR(p.end_date,'DD-MON-RR'))
                  AND
                        t.ship_date IS NOT NULL)the query runs fine on its own and returne 4638 rows which is the number I need to update but it wont work as part of and update. I have also tried this:
    UPDATE test_sales
    SET total =
                (SELECT
                        p.list_price * t.quantity
                  FROM

                  WHERE
                        t.product_code IN p.product_id
                  AND
                        TO_DATE(TO_CHAR(t.order_date,'DD-MON-RR')) >= TO_DATE(TO_CHAR(p.start_date,'DD-MON-RR'))

                  AND
                        t.ship_date IS NOT NULL)
    WHERE product_code IN
                (SELECT

Any ideas what to try?

    How do I create a single PDF Portfolio from an Outlook 2011 email with multiple non-pdf attachments?
    Email has 3 attachments--some are not pdf. I'd like all three converted into pdf files along with the email itself, and all appear in the email's pdf portfolio.

    I would also like an answer to this question.
    I am trying to convert an Outlook email to a PDF, then all attachment are appended to the PDF as pages instead of attachments.

  • Single-row refresh in ADF tables, with PPR

    Hello everybody. I have an application in JDeveloper 11gR2 environment.
    Here are my requirements:
    1. I have a table, each cell is an input text;
    2. Some cell must be rendered differently depending on a specific key-field (for example, input or output text)
    3. Any manual change in the key-field must result in a re-rendering of the interested row, not the entire table.
    I addressed req 2 using an af:switcher which renders either a facet or another, evaluating the key-field.
    About req 3, I tried to set auto-submit to true on key-field and then specifying partialTriggers="key-field-id" in the column component including the switcher.
    It works, with 2 issues:
    a) the main one: it refreshes the entire table (which simply disappear/reappears when I tab out of the key-field);
    b) the second one: I'd prefer not to use the auto-submit 'cause I don't want to submit anything, yet: I just want to change rendering/values of other cells.
    Any idea?
    Thanks a lot,
    Emanuele

    Hi,
    I addressed req 2 using an af:switcher which renders either a facet or another, evaluating the key-field.
    I would have used an af:inputText field and set the readOnly property to true for the read only fields. This can be done through EL
    About req 3, I tried to set auto-submit to true on key-field and then specifying partialTriggers="key-field-id" in the column component including the switcher.
    It works, with 2 issues:
    You cannot just refresh a single row. The table is stamped at rendering, which means individual rows are not represented by their own object
