Emailing directly from Bridge

How can I email directly from Bridge?  I have CS6

You could do it in CS3 but the option does not seem to apprea in CS4.  Very strange.  For CS3 go to Tools>Photoshop Services>Online Portfolios and Galleries>Share photos with flickr.

    // consult MAILSEND in here: https://github.com/muquit/mailsend and download the app 'mailsend.exe' for windows7 in here:
    // https://github.com/muquit/mailsend/releases/download/1.17b15/mailsend1.17b15.exe.zip
    // unzip it and put the app .exe where you want to use it.
    // I have tested using Bridge to send e-mail using my gmail e-mail account and it works. I only needed to
    // I needed to send e-mails from Bridge using my google account, but first I needed to put on my network the app 'mailsend.exe'(i'm using PCs windows7 , CS6 and a network)
    // All my 20 people team is using it, so I decided to put the app 'mailsend.exe' on a common place on network. I you are using it only on 1 PC you don't need you can put it on its disk.
    // Solution: All you need is to create a bat file that tells 'mailsend.exe' what to do:
    var mailsendBat=File(Folder.temp +"/mailsendBat.bat"); // creates a bat file on the temporary folder
    mailsendBat.open("w")
    // the place where app 'mailsend.exe' file is
    mailsendBat.writeln('"X:\\[someFolder]\\mailsend.exe" \^');
    // my gmail
    mailsendBat.writeln('-t [email protected] -f [email protected] \^');
    // the title can have encoding or not (-enc-type "base64")
    mailsendBat.writeln('-cs "utf-8" -mime-type "text/plain" -enc-type "base64" -sub "Ich lerne seit ungefähr zwei Jahren Deutsch" \^');
    // this works for the smtp gmail
    mailsendBat.writeln('-starttls -port 587 -auth -smtp smtp.gmail.com -user "[email protected]" -pass "[myPassword]" \^');
    // If I want to send an image attachment I use this 1, 2, or more times. If content-type is "multipart/mixed" the inline images don't work. Instead the images will be sent as attachment.
    mailsendBat.writeln('-content-type "multipart/mixed" -attach "C:\\Users\\Public\\imagens\\myImage.jpg" \^');
    // this is the line to send a simple text line with no encoding specified
    mailsendBat.writeln('-enc-type "none" -mime-type "text/plain" -M "one line attachment 1" \^');
    // you can sen inline html that can also have links to inline images
    mailsendBat.writeln('-mime-type "text/html" -enc-type "none" -M "<b>this is a test</b><br><img src="http://[any_online_image.jpg],image/jpeg,i">" \^');
    // sending text line with special encoding
    mailsendBat.writeln('-cs "utf-8" -mime-type "text/plain" -enc-type "base64" -M "Ich lerne seit ungefähr zwei Jahren Deutsch" \^');
    // endind it

  • HT1529 sending emails directly from Finder in Mountain Lion

    With Mountain Lion I cannot send emails directly from Finder! In older versions when I right-click on a file there is an option in the dialog box which appers: "send by email" or something like this, I can't remember exactly...but when I used to click on it the email window appears. How can I activate this option? in this new version it is only SHARE options which is not helpful.
    Thanks!

    I am having similar issues with my user account. It also is the same in Yosemite.
    Disc images, external hard drives etc dragged to trash (get eject icon) are simply ignored.
    Pressing Eject button in side bar of Finder are ignored.
    It seems to be a permission/account issue as:
    - using computer under a different account doesnt have this problem
    - transferring account over to another mac continues the problem on the new computer.
    Log file seems not to have any errors.

  • Have just installed iPhoto'11. Tried to send email direct from iphoto    o, but it would not except my password, or current server.

    Tried to send email direct from iphoto on my newly installed iPhoto '11. It will not accept my current and only server, or my password. The photos will go out directly from email, but not from iPhoto. Any suggestions?

    In the iPhoto preferences set Apple mail as the e-mail client and use it as before

  • Upload pictures directly from Bridge to Flickr or other photo sharing site.

    Upload pictures directly from Bridge to Flickr or other photo sharing site.
    But flickr is the most important. Many people are searching for a plugin or patch or something to be able to this.
    Because of that many people are using Picasa because you can download a plugin for it and then with this plugin you can upload photos to flickr directly from picasa. Please make it also possible in Adobe Bridge.
    I am using Adobe Bridge CS3 with latest updates.
    Thank you.

    You could do it in CS3 but the option does not seem to apprea in CS4.  Very strange.  For CS3 go to Tools>Photoshop Services>Online Portfolios and Galleries>Share photos with flickr.

  • Cannot run batch directly from Bridge

    Hi,
    I often work from Bridge and use the TOOLS>PHOTOSHOP>BATCH or TOOLS>PHOTOSHOP>LOAD FILES INTO PHOTOSHOP LAYERS
    This works well except it has just stopped working for no apparent reason. When I try any of the commands under TOOLS>PHOTOSHOP, photoshop will launch or become active but then just sit there doing nothing.
    This has thrown a HUGH spanner in my workflow and is driving me nuts.
    I have tried deleting Bridge/photoshop prefs etc but nothing seems to help.
    I'm guessing it has something to do with Bridge startup scripts or something.
    I can batch via the Photoshop Automate menu but this is nowhere as efficient for me - I then have to hunt for the files etc.
    Weird how it did work then not. The only change I made was installing a new version of ACR, but that was a week or so ago.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!!
    Thanks.

    SOLVED!
    I renamed the folder containing my files and it now works. As far as I can tell there was something corrupt in the folder name - it was originally COPY>PASTed from an email, so maybe there was a hidden character or something else weird that confused Photoshop when it tried to run the script.
    Weird.

  • Can you still email direct from Preview?

    Before Mountain Lion, you could email a document directly from Preview, but I cannot find that menu option anymore. Going to Mail and choosing the document as an attachment is a workaround, of course, but takes a lot more time. Any quicker solutions?

    You could use Automator to customize a routine if this is something you do regularly. Apple provides some fundamentals about Automator in:

  • I have updated my iPad 1 to iOS 5.1.1 and I am trying to email a document from pages but it has changed and I don't know how to email directly from pages anymore can someone please help ?

    I have updated my iPad 1 to iOS 5.1.1.  Now I cannot email from pages . Cannot anyone help me please ?

    Hi Lila,
    Bring up the document you want to email, and tap the wrench in the upper right-hand corner. Under that Tools icon you will see several options, select Share and Print.
    Select Email Document
    Then select the document format you wish to send the document in: Pages, PDF, or Word
    Tap on one, and the document will format into that selection, and then take you to a blank email page with the document attached and ready to go!
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers,

  • I want to use Gmail with ACT! by Sage. Can I configure Firefox 3.6 to use POP3 and SMTP features of Gmail so I can send emails directly from ACT!? Thank you.

    # 1: I am quite unsophisticated with digital technology--some would call me ignorant in this regard, just so you know.
    I use contact manager ACT! by Sage. I have upgraded to a version that allows emailing from within the ACT! application. I would like to use my gmail account and Firefox to send emails from ACT! The people at ACT! say I can use any email service that offiers POP3 and SMTP. I checked and gmail has both. However, gmail says that they do not have instructions for configuring Mozilla Firefox for use with (if I understand correctly) gmail's POP3 and SMTP. So what I want to know is: has anyone done the ACT1, gmail, Firefox connecting and can they send me step-by-step instructions on how to do it? Thank you.

    Thanks. I've made progress. I have set up ACT! to to use my gmail account. But a problem arose. Do you know if ACT! is set up for SSL related to POP3? I completed the first two items on the test email and failed the last two.
    Also, I went back to Tools Preferences E-mail tab and clicked E-mail system set up the window is blank (my gmail account is gone) and I cannot get to Page 3.
    Any thoughts?

  • Getting email directly from Comcast and Network Solutions

    I just ordered my iPhone 3G today. I do not need to sync my email to my computer. I just need to be able to download email from my comcast accounts and my business accounts at Network Solutions. I assume I can setup POP3 downloads of emails from these sites, leave the original emails on the servers at those sites for later download to my PC, and still get the emails to my iPhone and answer them from my iPhone.
    Is that a correct assumption?
    Thanks,
    Terry

    Yes, that is entirely correct.

  • Email JPGs from Bridge

    I've searched and found nothing on this, so please forgive if this has already been covered.
    It would sure be handy to be able to have a function that can prep some images as JPEGs and collect them into a new email message in a user's default email client. Similar to the way you can email a file by clicking a button in Acrobat Pro, or the way Apple's iPhoto handles it.

    To make JPEGs:

    To E-Mail 'em:

  • Is there any way to get aperture to include caption and title with a photo when emailing directly from aperture?

    I have been all over and it seems impossible to do... but it also seems impossible that I'm the only one who wants to put a title and description with a photo once, and then have that follow the photo when I email it, rather than having to re-type each little tidbit every single time I email an image. I use aperture for work and am always creating custom batches of images to send to prospective clients. it's crazy having to re-do the information every time.
    Any suggestions for workarounds, plugins... something I'm missing?? iphoto used to do this automatically but it seems it doesn't anymore. even knowing the reason why they aren't allowing it might make me feel less insane
    thanks!

    Thanks both of you!
    I think my iphoto settings must have defaulted back when I migrated to my new computer because sure enough, when I followed your instructions it went back to emailing the descriptions, which is great, and I hadn't ever tried opening the same library in iphoto. That's really convenient. It's too bad (and sort of strange I think) that Aperture doesn't have the same feature but as workarounds go this one is quite lovely.
    The only remaining question is why, when I do open the library in iphoto, the description is intact but there is no title other than the version name?
    For example, in aperture there is the version name, which is something like _DSC1733, the title I added in the "title" bar, which might be "diamond necklace" and then the description which is "18" long, 2carats total weight, platinum, 2013".
    When I open the library in iphoto, the version name is at the top and under it is the decription, and the title is gone.
    Unless there is another button I missed I think I have to go in and add the title into the description, and then just uncheck the version name when emailing so it doesn't show up.
    Any advice? Hope I made the question clear-ish

  • Emailing direct from pages

    I would like to type a letter in pages and then send it via Email as the body of the Email rather than as an attachment.
    Thanks

    That capability is not available, probably because no matter how you formatted your letter in Pages, there would be no assurance that the recipient's email software would preserve any of the formatting. So if the issue is that you want your formatting to be preserved, forget it: that can't be done except in an attachment. If, instead, the issue is just that you prefer to do your typing in Pages rather than an email client, you can type your letter, Copy the whole thing to the Clipboard, and Paste it into the body of a blank new email message to send it. Formatting will be lost on the other end, if not on your own, but the text will all be there.
