"Empty demarcation" in Text elements item

Hi,
Does someone know if it's possible to change the text "Empty demarcation" in the text elements? If yes, how?

Hi Nathalie,
You can do this in SE38 > SAPLRRSV. Click on the Text Elements radio button and display them. Number 301 is for "Empty Demarcation". You can change this text here.

Dear All,
To remove 'Empty demarcation' in the WAD output, I had modified the standard program - SAPLRSSV (for this i took access key from SAP).
The text element : 301 was changed to blank and it worked.
Recently we had a support package upgrade to SAPKW70018. With this upgrade my previous change to the program got reverted back and so i need to do the change again.
However, I'm not able to retrieve the list of Text elements for this program (SAPLRSSV). I open the program and when i go to Text element, following message is displayed :
"Untranslated texts from master language DE will also be displayed"
But no list (no text elements) is displayed.
My question : How do i retrieve this list and can i use the same acess key again or do i need to take another one from SAP.

How to ignore empty text element while using DOM to parse xml??

i am using DOM to parse an xml file. But i dont know how to cinfig the DocumentBuilderFactory to ignore empty text elements.
For example, i have an xml file like this:

It is really troublesome to get all these silly empty texts as sub elements. I tried to get rid of them, but i failed. I just dont understand why factory.setIgnoringElementContentWhitespace(true) did not work.

I just dont understand why factory.setIgnoringElementContentWhitespace(true) did not work.That only does something if the XML has a DTD that enables it to know what whitespace can be ignored and what is significant. The API documentation for the method refers you to this document:

Problem in line items(text elements printing) in smartform

Here iam printing line item data in invoice form
around 7 fields(text elements) iam having the fileds are displaying one by one
I need to diplay all 7 fields one after another with some gaps in the same line

create a table. In once line type(Line type 1) create 7 different cells (Columns) for a single row.
For eg:
Line typ1 : cell1 cell2 cell3 cell4 cell5 cell6 cell 7.
cell1 : &mara-matnr&
cell2 : &mara-ersda&.
like soon in 7 different cells.

How to write in smartform in single text element with line item content and include text.I am using this text element in table . Pls help me out. i am writing the include command in text element ,but this command is not enough for single line of text editor.

I have been pulling my hair out for a few days trying to find
this solution. This fixed my problems as well.
I was getting ready to scrap the Report Builder altogether
and move to SQL Server Reporting Services over this issue.
I'm running 7.0.2 also, that version alone fixed many small
issues like creating borders and such.

How to Customize the Web item " Text Elements"in WAD

Hi All,
Can any one let me know how to customize the web item TEXT ELEMENTS. When we place the web item Text element in the web template, it displays the query details and the info provider details.
I question is I do not want to list all the list that is displayed in the text elements. I want to see only part of the list....can any one whether this is possible or not..if possible how...?

Hi Senthil,
Inside text element, we print the variables.
Variables actually gets printed in the form.
if the variable contains value the variable gets printed on script. if not, then variable not gets printed.

Remove "Empty Demarcation"

How can I remove "Empty Demarcation" in the Text Elements. When I don't pass value(optional variable) to web template it shows "Empty Demarcation" in the report text elements, I want to convert into blank or "ALL".
Should be grateful for any futher information

I had change text 301 become "All" and make SAPLRRSV active but "empty demarcation" is still show in the web,
any other suggestion.
I think the system not directly changes the text in the web after 2 day the changes run correctly,

then i have program lines
iam writing any perform statment insted iam write the code in here

i declared id type zabc-id under global data in global definations
CLEAR : ID.
ON CHANGE OF WA_itab-ID.
*BREAK point.
ID = WA_ITab-iD.
ENDON.
after the program lines i have a text

now i see the output

I checked my code if two items have same id the id has no value and you can see the output also
but for some reason its still goinng into the if condition
And also is there away that i can debugg my text elements like in scripts. my break point doesn't take me to the text elements

1. Move only the ID into one internal table say i_id,
2. Now in your smartform, create a table and loop at i_id into wa_id.
3.Print your ID in a text, &wa_id-id&
3. Now in main area of the table Create a loop with the internal table you mentioned above with 3 elements, say, i_data into wa_data give CONDITION as wa_data-id = wa_id-id.
4. Print your other values &wa_data-matnr& &wa_data-werks&
5. outside main area, clear the work areas.
This should work fine as i use the same logic in one of my current developments!!!

Dump error when clicked on text elements in SAP Script window

There is an inclusion in SAP Script. I have written the code in driver program. I need to pass the value to SAP Script in the requested position. But when I go to SE71 > Form Name > Change or Display > MAIN Window > Text Elements > I get a dump error.

     Error in the ABAP Application Program
     The current ABAP program "SAPLSTXK" had to be terminated because it has
     come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
     Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
     To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
     administrator.
     Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
     at and manage termination messages, and you can also
     keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
     An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
     The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS', was not
      caught in
     procedure "TOKEN_COMMENT" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
     Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
     exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
    The reason for the exception is:
    In the executed program "SAPLSTXK", the system attempted to access the field

How to correct the error
    Reduce the length used to access the field.
    If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to

How do I open the text elements? I need to pass the variable inside SAP Script.

Display Text Elements in BI 7.0

Hi,
We are now working on BI 7.0. We need to display the text elements for a specific query i.e the values entered by the user in the variables have to be displayed.
I am aware of the Design mode option after executing the query. I did select the Text web item and selected the necessary display items also. My question is do I have to save this web item customization as a workbook or will it reflect when I run the query the next time.

Text Elements in BI 7

Hi,
We currently have a report in BW 3.5 which contains a text element which in turn displays the value of the variable that the user chose in the selection screen of a report.
In BI 7.0 I have found the text item but when I try to display a variable it simply displays the name of the variable and not the contents.
How could I display or at least retrieve the value the user selected in the selection screen? Are there any means of doing so via Javascript?

Are you talking about displaying the user selected value in ouput of web template. If that's the case then u need not to go for javascript just follow below steps:
1. Select Information field item present under advanced web items.
2. Make following settings in it property:
2.1 In internal display check 'Display Static Filter value' and 'Display Variables'.
2.2 Provide a data provider to this item which contains this variable.
2.3 In List of Text elements to Display option select: Static filter as your Text element,
In the list of characterstic of static filter click the little button which will open a popup window from where you can select the variable to display.
Make following settings and use the web item.

Text Elements in Web Template

Hello.
In my web template I wish to display the Variable Values and also the last time the query was changed (MODTIME) + ROLLUPTIME...
This seems to be tricky, because if I check the SHOW_VARIABLES option, and include MODTIME and ROLLUPTIME as general text elements in the List of Text Elements for the item, only MODTIME and ROLLUPTIME are shown.
Is it possible to show <b>the Variable Values and MODTIME and ROLLUPTIME</b> in the same Text Elements web Item?

Yes, this does not seem to work. Though to overcome this you could do the following
In the 'List of Text Elements', select 'Element Type' as 'Filter value' and specify the technical name of the infoobject on which the variable has been defined, as the element ID.
This shows the values of the entered variables. But maybe SAP should correct the original bug and an OSS might help.

Text Elements in TCode IW32

   I am currently working for a smartform where i want to fetch text elements from IW32 .In IW32 the user enters texts in every components or materials .My requirement is to fetch those text. I tried it using READ_TEXT_ELEMENTS function module but could not fetch it..
Can anyone know any other alternative to fetch the data.

Use FM READ_TEXT to read texts.

You can find more about text id and text object by selecting the text button. Now in the sap script editor choose the GoTo Menu button on top and select header. A popup has all the details which can be used in the READ_TEXT FM.

How to display standard text element of main window in next page

In scripts we have standard script medruck for purchase order.
i want to pull text elements ( terms and payment terms ) in to main window of next page.
i have included main window in page windows of next page ,but im unable to print text elements of terms and payment terms in next page...

Hi deepika,
First copy standard MEDRUCK to ZMEDRUCK and do the necessary changes.
Then check in driver program when exactly Terma and condition text element is called. Generaly its after printing all items but just check once to confirm.
If TERMS and condition element is called ate end just put a NEW-PAGE command at end of the text element which is called before terms.
