EOIO lost when tranform called in BPM

Hey all - we recently upgraded to SP11 & have found that for an EOIO interface, if it goes into a BPM & a transform step is called, the output is no longer EOIO. We THOUGHT this worked before, but wondering if anyone has seen something similar? We are searching thru OSS now... Thanks!

For fun, we tested a BPM process with no transform step that is simple...
receive -> branch -> send
The branch has the "default" leg going to the send, the other 2 are filters to end successfully... And when we send 100 interfaces thru this, they end up in order. I ran the test about 10 times, just to be sure we weren't lucky - and always the sequence is maintained...
Do you have the OSS note from your friend? If we could see this in writing - that the sequence isn't guaranteed - it would help us a lot. Thanks for all the input!!!

From time to time (maybe 1 in a 1000) array data gets lost when calling stored procedures. From the logs we know that the data gets sent to the stored procedure, but on the DB side the procedure throws an exception because arrays are empty.
We are using (modified) OracleConnectionCacheImp (thus PooledConnections, etc.). My latest guess is that maybe somehow ArrayDescriptors on the (pooled)connection used to call the stored procedure are somehow affected when another pooled connection from OracleConnectionCacheImp gets removed by parallel thread. Is that possible? Or are the PooledConnections internally (in pooled connection data source) completely isolated from each other ?

BPM - Crate new Transactio - Error when call another BPM

Hi,
I have an XI application with BPMs and the XI with SP8.
The fist BPM has transformations and send steps and calls the second BPM.
In the DEV environment we are applying SP12, now it's possible to disable the option "Create New Transaction" for Send and Transformation.
I need to disable this option because, my application woks with bad performance and use 100% of the workprocess all the time.
So, when I disabled this option, "Send Stets" whose call another BPMs didn't work fine. The transformations steps and send steps to R/3 worked fine.
Does anybody know why send step to another BPM doesn't work when call another's BPMs?

Interesting issue. Have never tried it personally and currently working on a SP 16 XI 3.0 system else would have given this a shot.

Called transaction (authorisation default) lost when breaking parent link

Been a googling for this one and I'm still stuck.
One for techies I guess?
We are on ECC^ release702 support pack SAPKB70212
I've broken the link between parent and derived roles where cost centre objects are present (these are brand new roles created using option three in expert mode when generating)
Then I notice that the transactions hidden from the user menu by inserting using the option authorisation default have been lost - just their description remained so I tested this by creating a parent role with just a called tcodes in it, deriving a new role off it and then deleting the link.
The menu is lost and the authorisation object S_TCODE is lost when using the third option to generate. The history shows the transaction being deleted but this doesn't happen for normally assigned transactions in the menu.
Anybody got any ideas please?
One other thing is that it also lost the folder name probably because I had not included any normal transactions?

Yep - already tried this as I found that some existing roles had lost their called tcode technical name so I built a new role from scratch with FB03 as the called transaction, derived from it and then broke the link to the first role leaving the derived being a straightforward single role.
It immediately had a red menu tab since FB03 was the only entry.
Going into the authorisations with option 3 edit old and merge new removed the associated authorisations including the S_TCODE.
I then tried again with a new role having both a standard menu transaction and called transaction and it repeated the actions but left the standard transaction intact.
I had a wander through the SSM_CUST to see if there was a flag/setting mentioning delete authorisation defualt transaction if breaking the derived-parent links but didn't see anything apart from the usual ones about compressing menus etc which don't look to be affecting it.
Thanks for your time to date but I think it's one for SAP now?

I experience this problem too. I am using iPhone4 and just upgrade it to iOS7. And now I can not make outgoing call. I checked all the setting, and nothing wrong. I even replaced my sim card with the new one, still can not help.

Calling Oracle BPM Process Web Service from Oracle Service Bus

I am using Oracle Service Bus 10gR3.
I have developed simple BPM process through Oracle BPM studio 10.3.1.0.I then followed steps below
1. Create a Process.
2. Expose the Process as a Web Service.
3. Run the project. This starts the Process Execution Engine.
4. Create an ALSB External Resource of type Management Host.
5. Create a second ALSB External Resource for registration.
6. Register the End Point
Until this point everything is fine. Then I created one project through Oracle Service Bus console. Under that created WSDL, Proxy Service and Business Service Folders. I am using the web service created through BPM studio as teh Business Service in SB . I then created one proxy service to route the request to the Business Service.
Finally when I try to test the Proxy Service by launching test console, I get the

Call sync BPM from Async BPM - issue

Hi,
Outline: I'm trying to call a synchronous BPM from an asynchronous BPM in a PI 7.0 SP 14 system.
When doing so i get the following error: Object CL_SWF_XI_MSG_BROKER method SEND_SYNCHRON cannot be executed.
Now this is an oldie when searching the forums for this error message. I do however fail to see a solution to the problem.
Note that the following notes (referred to in similar posts)

are implemented since theese refer to older versions of PI.
My scenario is very simple at present since i've startet from scratch again after getting the error. So what i do is:
1) send async message to async BPM
2) async BPM receives request
3) async bpm transform request til sync_request.
4) async BPM calls synchronous BPM
5) sync BPM receives request and opens a async/sync bridge
6) sync BPM maps request to response
7) sync BPM sends response and closes async/sync bridge
8) async BPM reveices sync_response
9) async BPM sends sync_response to some application
Now step 8 i never succesfully executed. Instead the error earlier described is triggered.
For simplicity i use 1 and only 1 message type in all message interfaces. I have mapping between my synchronous interfaces outside of BPM.
The synchronus BPM is executed just fine. The only issue is getting the reponse back to the asynchronous BPM.

- Object CL_SWF_XI_MSG_BROKER method SEND_SYNCHRON cannot be executed
- Problem in posting the data in the syncronous mode
but find them to be of no use.

Not able to call Webdynpro BPM application from Portal 7.2

Dear Expert,
My Portal has suddenly giving me a very strange error. When i am trying to click on a link in portal which is supposed to call a BPM application where the UI is designed in Webdynpro for Java, i am getting an error saying - Website can not display page.
The error is coming since the re-start of Portal server. Ours is federated portal scenario, the CE is producer and EP is consumer Portal.

After analyzing the issue i understood that the Federation is not working..

BPM process calling another BPM process synchronously

Hi,
When have a BPM (SCENARIO_1) that receives a request.
The BPM makes a SYNC call to another BPM (SCENARIO_2_SYNC_SEND). The second BPM should return the sync response to the first BPM. The second BPM has been implemented as a SYNC/ASYNC bridge. .........This scenario is NOT working.
We have independently tested the second BPM and can confirm that it works correctly and as expected when it is NOT called by another BPM.
design steps of BPM
1. BPM (SCENARIO_1)
           start -> receive(async) - >send(sync - calls 2nd BPM) -> stop
2. BPM (SCENARIO_2_SYNC_SEND). (this BPM is invoked by first BPM (SCENARIO_1)
            start ->receive(sync -open SA bridge) ->send(sync - calls webService) ->send(closes SA bridge)
Is SAP PI supports synchronous call from one BPM to another BPM???

we also done the BPM calling another BPM asynchronousl;y, which is working fine.
In this case, I designed BPM like follows (as initially mentioned)
1. BPM (SCENARIO_1)
start -> receive(async) - >send(sync - calls 2nd BPM) -> stop
Note : In 'send' step, I selected 'Create New Transaction'.......if I don't select this property then system dumping without invoking the second BPM, When I select this property the second BPM is invoked after the 1st BPM completes i.e it waits for CHECK_FOR_ASYNC_RESPONSE_TIMEOUT (default value 60 secs) to elapse. during this time an entry in the outbound queue (smq2) appears
2. BPM (SCENARIO_2_SYNC_SEND). (this BPM is invoked by first BPM (SCENARIO_1)
start ->receive(sync -open SA bridge) ->send(sync - calls webService) ->send(closes SA bridge)
how do we check whether it using more than one queue??
we have only looked at smq1 & smq2.
We see an entry in SMQ2 which stays there for the timeout period of the first BPM.
It seems as if the second bpm doesnt see it until the first BPM closes.
I might think this is appropriate behaviour to stop the engine processing the same message more than once which would explain the behaviour we are seeing. However this would mean PI would not support BPM synchronously calling BPM which is what we are trying to determine if it is supported.
We cant find any documentation saying this is possible and alot of documentation indicates workarounds.
Have you ever seen this scenario implemented.

There is no problem in getting the response from webservice, the problem is the BPM which calls webservice itself invoked after the timeout of first BPM.

Language Monitors and Bi-directional Printing: What functionality is lost when disabling? What else uses them?

Server OS: Windows 2008 R2 Standard
Function: Primary Domain Controller and Print Server
Clients: All are running Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit SP1
We're considering disabling the HP Universal Print Driver Language Monitor and in-turn Bi-directional Printing due to potential server spooler instabilities, before we do this the IT Manager wants to be sure:
1. What functionality is lost when disabling Language Monitors and Bi-directional Printing?
2. What else uses Language Monitors and Bi-directional Printing them? In other words what may break?
3. What specifically do Language Monitors and Bi-directional Printing provide?

Can I confirm this is the procedure for disabling a particular print queue's Language Monitor and Bidirectional Printing? -
1. Locate the relevant Language Monitor registry key in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors
Either delete or rename the registry key (so it cannot be found), in my case: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\HPMLM121
I renamed it to have the date at the end (HPMLM121_2015-01-29).
2. Inside the above registry key is a DLL file mentioned under the DRIVER reference. In my case it's called: hpmlm121.dll.
I searched the entire C drive on the server and this was only found in C:\Windows\System32. I moved this elsewhere out of C:\Windows and also renamed the DLL too.
Therefore preventing Windows from being able to find/use it.
3. I then unticked Bidirectional Printing Support in the Printer Properties Ports tab of the printer in question.
4. Lastly either restart the server (or stop/restart the Spooler service).
I've done all this and the HP Print Notifications for Replace Cartridge etc... are still active.
Any idea why this is?

Cluster value lost when leaving case structure

Hello all,
I am having an issue with a particular VI I am working on. (FYI this is in Labview 8.0)
The VI is set up to run a current source, voltmeter, and thermometer and then record and graph data in various ways that are selectable by the user.
Everything seems to be working fine except one particular graphing method. When I try to graph Current vs. Voltage, the current value is gettiing lost. Within a case structure the current and voltage are combined into a cluster and then exit the case structre to be later appended to a cluster array.
However, the value of the cluster is being lost when the graph is set for Current vs. Voltage. Any other method and it is working properly.
I can't seem to figure out why this is happening as it does not make much sense that the other methods of graphing work but this one doesn't when it is coded the exact same other than having different variables.
I have attached the VI with added indicators showing that the cluster value is being lost once it exits the case structure. Any help would be much appreciated.

You really need to boil this down to something we can run and reproduce the issue.
Have you tried to break a few relevant connections and rewire? Maybe something is corrupt.
Beside being a mess, your VI has quite a few glaring mistakes.
Let's have a look at the structures in the upper right:
90% of the code is the same in all three case structures, so all that needs to be inside the case structure is the small part where you built the 2D array. Everything else belongs outside the case.
The sequence structure has no useful function.
Why do you need to reverse the array with each iteration of the small FOR loop? Once before the loop would be enough. Right?
Why do you use built array inside the small FOR loop, but don't autoindex at the loop boundary? All you ever get is an array with exactly one element, no matter how much the loop runs. Seems useless! (see below image for an alternative).
You would not even need to reverse if you would use "built array" instead of "insert into array at position 0" in the central part.
Others: You constantly hammer all your property nodes. The only need to be called when things change. Again, you have way too many instances. For example in the case structure where you are having problems, the same property nodes exist in all cases. A single instance of the property node belong outside the case and only the string constants inside each case. Whenever code is the same in all cases of a case structure, that code belongs outside!

C# COM server events "lost" when raising events while Excel is in edit mode

I posted this question on StackOverflow (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/23798443/c-sharp-com-server-events-lost-when-raising-events-while-excel-is-in-edit-mode) but did not receive a good answer, so I'm trying my luck here.
I have an in-proc COM server written in C# (using .NET Framework 3.5) that raises COM events based on this example: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd8bf0x3(v=vs.90).aspx
Excel VBA is the most common client of my COM server. I’ve found that when I raise COM events while Excel is in edit mode (e.g. a cell is being edited) the event is “lost”. Meaning, the VBA event handler is never called (even after the Excel
edit mode is finished) and the call to the C# event delegate passes through and fails silently with no exceptions being thrown. Do you know how I can detect this situation on my COM server? Or better still, make the event delegate call block until
Excel is out of edit mode?
I have tried:
Inspecting the properties of the event delegate – could not find any property to indicate that the event failed to be raised on the client.
Calling the event delegate directly from a worker thread and from the main thread – event not raised on the client, no exceptions thrown on the server.
Pushing the event delegate onto a worker thread’s Dispatcher and invoking it synchronously – event not raised on the client, no exceptions thrown on the server.
Pushing the event delegate onto the main thread’s Dispatcher and invoking it synchronously and asynchronously – event not raised on the client, no exceptions thrown on the server.
Checking the status code of the Dispatcher.BeginInvoke call (using DispatcherOperation.Status) – the status is always ends with “Completed”, and is never in “Aborted” state.
Creating an out-of-proc C# COM server exe and tested raising the events from there – same result, event handler never called, no exceptions.
Since I get no indication that the event was not raised on the client, I cannot handle this situation in my code.
I have tested this with Excel 2010 and Excel 2013.

This problem also occurs for a C++ MFC Automation server that raises COM events. If I raise the COM event from the main thread when Excel is in edit mode, the event handler is never called. No errors or exceptions are thrown on the server,
similar to my C# COM server. However, if I use the Global Interface Table to marshal the event sink interface from the main thread
back to the main thread, then invoking the event - it will block while Excel is in edit mode. (I also used COleMessageFilter to disable the busy dialog and not responding dialogs, otherwise I'd receive the exception:
RPC_E_CANTCALLOUT_INEXTERNALCALL It is illegal to call out while inside message filter.)
Knowing that, I tried to do the same on my C# COM server. I could instantiate the Global Interface Table (using the definition from pinvoke.net) and the message filter (using the IOleMessageFilter definition from MSDN). However, the event still
gets "lost" and does not block while Excel is in edit mode.

Rezound starts conference call out of the blue when in call and have to press a number
2 Months ago, my Rezound started opening a conference call when I press a digit while on the phone. For example, when I am checking my house voice mail and press 2 to hear my messages. My phone instantly opens a conference call with "2", and instantly makes an "eeerrrttt eeerrrttt eeerrrttt " beeping buzzing error tone.
I have spoken to customer support. They sent me a recycled rezound which I still have the same trouble with. I asked them for a new sim card but they wouldnt send me one with the new phone. Maybe that would fix this? I dont see how 2 phones can have the same odd problem, that nobody else seems to have.

Thanks for the reply. I did consider that, in fact I figure its either a 3rd party app or its the sim. I absolutely cannot seem to find which app could be causing this. The biggest problem is that its totally random. It happened today to me while I was at the Dr with my Mother. Had to call her other Dr. I called the number, pressed 1 to speak with the right department, it opened a new line and dialed 1 and switched to it by itself! I lost the call and merging the 2 calls still does not allow me back to the real call. Its astounding! The worst thing is it ONLY seems to happen when I am making an important call. The MOST important calls I make ALWAYS have this happen. When I left that Dr. office, I called that other Dr again and pressed 1 again and it worked perfect. If a phone can be possessed, then I do indeed believe my phone is suffering from demonic possession! I would gladly share all the logs and stuff. I think Verizon or HTC need to figure this one out for the sake of humanity...
ps; I did change from global mode to CDMA/LTE before I tried again today. Maybe thats related?

When people call me my phone never seems to ring....

I have had this problem since I started with Verizon years ago and I have had about 4 different phones with the company. People will call my phone and they claim the phone rings and rings until finally the voice mail picks up but the strange thing about it is that my phone does not ring. Yet I have never had dropped call problems and when I check the volume is on in fact at full blast so if it rang you would probably jump out of your seat from how loud it was lol. I checked and it shows I have at least 3 bars of service.
I live about 2 hours away from New York City but my parents and my sister all live down in Florida and they too have the same exact problem. It rings sometimes but not always. I used to get some sort of alert whenever someone left me a voice mail and now I get none. I just happen to know people call me because I check my voice mail and it said I have 3 new messages all from different people who claim they called me at a certain time but the thing is the phone is right here next to me and it has not rung at all.
My dad has a Samsung Galaxy smartphone and he has the same problem with that and previous phones. My mom just upgraded herself to an iphone and both me and my sister have basic phones until our next possible upgrade we will upgrade to smartphones. But the point is I have no clue why I have this problem when I should not have this at all. Even Verizon confirmed there are no service problems where I live or down where my parents live so service is not the issue here and the maps show that both me and my family are covered. Any idea on why it is when people call their calls do not go through for me and why I get no voice mail updates when someone leaves a voice mail?
Just so annoying. But the help is greatly appreciated. Not sure if anyone has this same problem. I used to have Virgin Mobile years ago before we got Verizon even though the service sucked I never had this kind of problem I described.

I am sorry if I have not been able to respond sooner. I am taking night and day classes during the week so have been as busy as ever with school. But well I will give this a shot. As for signal well here is the deal. On campus no one gets signal. I know people who have all sorts of cell phone services you name it and they wont get signals. But the verizon maps shows we are covered all over campus. Some people suspect because the building is made completely out of metal that would cause us to never get service cause when we go into the building next door which is a brick building we get service fine no matter what provider.I know people who use iphones on verizon and get no service at school. But outside of school and outside the building and anywhere else I go to I get perfect service. Even where I live I live in like the middle of the woods here where there are tons of trees and when people complain they get no service I am showing at least 3 our of 4 bars of service and am able to text my friends for a while and texts go through no problems.
However sometimes I go to take my phone out and I will notice the bars jump like I can have 4 bars of service then it jumps to 2 bars then it says 1X with no bars then it says EV then it goes back to like 4 bars then back to 3 where it stays on 3 for a while. This only happens once in a while. I usually do a simple phone restart by removing the battery and this solves that issue but as for making phone calls and sending texts (aside from being inside school) I have never had a problem making or sending a call or text. Only in school will my call fade and get lost. The problem with the time is that the voice mail does not give you the time the person who left the message called. I am not sure how to verify this because I even check my missed calls log and the person who left me the message well their number is no where to be found on my missed calls log.
My dad on the other hand just recently about a month ago upgraded his basic phone to the Samsung Galaxy III and he said he has the same exact issue the only difference is when someone leaves a voice mail his phone will send him a notification stating something like "you have one new voice mail" while as my phone does not pop up any messages. I missed a Dr.s appointment recently because something happened with my calender and I wrote down the wrong date. My dr.s office called to remind me of the appointment date but I missed it because I never got the call and they said they had left a voice mail which I had never gotten to begin with. I also made sure the volume on the phone was up in fact I had it higher then usual so if someone calls you might jump from the surprise call lol but yes anyways this is the status of the situation.
It appears it is something on the family plan. I had this problem before where I was unable to send and receive picture messages from people so when my parents would text me a picture of something from work or whatever my phone would not get it and they would ask me why and it turns out Verizon put a block on my phone so I could not get picture messages. They removed it at once and problem was solved. I am not sure if this could be a similar situation where you guys in Verizon put some sort of block on my phone that could have caused this to happen on my phone where the calls are not getting through? Or do you think it could be something else? It's me my parents and my sister and we have a family share plan and all of us have this same exact issue but I just seem to be having it a lot longer then they did. Sorry if this was long wanted to update the situation thanks for responding.
