Epson printer rx700 all-in-one

I have just bought my mac and have tried downloading the intel driver for this printer. It downloads fine and sets-up fine, but when i try to add printer the rx700 is still not on the list. i have re-started the computer and there is a utility which works, i just can't get to print anything except the colour utility. I have contacted epson with little result. Any ideas?

The driver you need is Epson 3.0a. If you have already installed it just go to Printer Setup Utility, click on Add and in the new window (Printer Browser) as soon as you select your printer the correct driver is selected automatically. So in Print Using it should read something like Epson 3.0a. Just click on Add at the bottom of the window and you are set to go.

  • Epson network-ready, all-in-one printer...

    I'm thinking of purchasing a printer, but there is so many out there! I hear Epson prints out the best, and that's what I used at school in the Media Arts department. Can I just purchase any all-in-one printer and would it be able to work wirelessly through my AirPort Base Station? I've visited the Epson website, and non specify if it's network ready. Or is there a compatibility list of printers that work wirelessly?

    Can't say specifically about Epson, but I have an HP AIO 6180 that works fine wirelessly (for both Mac and Windows - including fax and scan functionality.) I also have a Canon IP4000R (just a normal printer) that has been working wirelessly for a while just fine. If the printer spec doesn't say it supports 802.11b/g then it doesn't have wireless capability (although some do have Bluetooth.) You should also make sure that it has drivers/software for the OS you want - one of the reasons I went for the HP was because it had support for both Mac and Windows. If this doesn't work for you then you could look at getting a wireless print server and connect a non-wireless printer to it - I don't have any experience of this configuration so I don't know what the driver/software issues might be.

  • Help with Epson and HP All-In-One Drivers

    I've been looking through the forums for a day and not really finding what I'm looking for, so I decided to post...
    Running an AE-N for a Macbook, a Powermac, and a Powerbook.
    I've got two printers...an Epson R200 photo printer and an HP PSC 1410 All-In-One printer/scanner. I'm not worried about the scanning so much as the actual printing, both wirelessly and wired. I have no problem adding the printers...they pop up effortlessly in the printer setup through bonjour. But once I actually try to print to them, they endlessly search for the printer ("Looking for printer Epson R200"). Didn't think this would be a problem because they were found so easily by the AE.
    I've read all the iFelix stuff posted and granted, I haven't tried the GIMP method just yet, but the R200 at least should be printing right out of the box, correct?
    The printers are plugged into a USB hub and I've got an external HD plugged in as well...no problems with it. Any help would be appreciated...

    This is working. I had the same problem with Yosemite and found Hp drivers were not working properly.
    No need to delete the HP folder in library- printers because there wasn't any directory.

    The printer has to be an AirPrint compatible printer to work with the iPads AirPrint feature. Not all printers are AirPrint printers. It appears as though your printer is not an AirPrint printer. If it isn't - you need a third party printing app.

    I understand that you are not able to copy, scan, or print on your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2515 All-in-One Printer. I would like to assist you with resolving this issue today. Now I understand that you have checked your ink cartridge levels and they're sitting around 60% which is great. However, if you're not able to scan, this has nothing to do with cartridges. Therefore, at this time I do not think you're experiencing a cartridge issue.
    In order for me to best support you I will need more information regarding the error state that you're receiving on your printer. If you're seeing blinking lights when you try to perform a copy I need to know exactly what lights are solid and what lights are blinking on your front panel.
    Also, if you get any error messages on your computer when you try to print, I need to know the exact error message that you're seeing.
    For further information regarding blinking light error states and what each error state means, please refer to: Blinking Lights on the HP Deskjet 2510 and Deskjet Ink Advantage 2515 All-in-One Printer Series
    Once I know what error state you're receiving I will be able to guide you through step-by-step troubleshooting instructions to resolve the error state. I look forward to hearing from you!

  • Duplex printing- 2540 all-in-one desk jet

    Just bought an all-in-one in the online manual it says how to set up duplex printing for  OS X 10.7 however when going into system preferences the option in the drivers tab for duplex does not appear. Does the printer actuall allow for duplex printing or do i need to install another driver?

    Hi Chris,
    The Deskjet 2540 do not support Automtic Duplex Printing.
    As the specific device provide manual duplexing only you may perform manual duplexing as following:
    In order to perform manual duplexing, you shouls use the Pages to Print setting, as you may find listed within the Printing on both sides of the paper manually section below:

  • KNOCKING SOUND AT THE STARTING OF PRINTING FROM ALL IN ONE F2418

    I AM USING ALL IN ONE F2418 FOR LAST 1 AND HALF YEARS. IT WORKS FINE. BUT SUDDENLY THERE IS A KNOCKING SOUND AT THE BEGINNING OF PRINTING JOB EVERY TIME. I OPEN THE BACK  PAPER JAM REMOVAL WINDOW AND SEE THAT THE WHITE GEARS AT THE ROLLER SIDE TRIES TO RUN IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION AND THE SLIP OVER EACH ANOTHER AND MAKING SOUND. THE PRINTER DIAGNOSTICS SAYS EVERYTHING IS OK. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM AND HOW COULD I SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

  • Elements 13 does not recognize my Epson Workforce 633 All in One, as a scanner. Did I upgrade to lower functionality?

    I've installed all the latest drivers. The scanner scans, the printer prints, yet E13 is unable to find my scanner. I've checked the FAQ pages and most links I've tried are broken or the info makes no sense. I'm tired of digging for a solution that should have been solved in my $128.00 "upgrade". Where can I find the Plug in to fix this issue? Why is it so difficult? This is really popular software and a really popular All in One. Somebody dropped the ball.

    Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I noticed that your HP Officejet 6210 will not print from your Windows Vista computer. I am happy to look into this for you! First, I would make sure that the full feature software and drivers are installed, by downloading it from this link: HP Full Feature Software and Drivers.   • Cannot print with all-in-one

    I cannot print with my all-in-one because I have a print-job in th queue, and when I attempt to cancel it , it simply will not cancel, but remains in the queue.  I think this happened when I was printing from the internet and a nearby lightning stike disrupted the printing.

    Have you tried to shut down the computer and printer and then turning them on again??

  • Acrobat Professional 9.2 and Epson Artisan 810 All-in-One

    Acrobat is unable to initiate a scan from my new Epson Artificat all in one. I previously had an HP 6300 series all in one and had no problems with this device. My O/S is Windows 7 Professional.
    I am able to initiate a scan from Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 (along with other programs), so the problem is not with the device installation. I can also scan to a PDF from the device, or using the device's native scanning program, just not from inside of Acrobat.
    When I try to scan, I get a message that Epson Scan cannot be started (from the Epson program, follow by an Acrobat message box saying that "Either the scanner driver is not installed, or thescanner is not connected". Both are wrong - drivers are installed, and the scanner is connected via Ethernet connection to my router.
    I also clicked on Configure Presets and selected the scanner from the drop down list (it is the only choice). I got the same Epson error message, followed by an Adobe message box saying "Acrobat could not communicate to this device".
    This is happening on my Gateway laptop. Strangely enough, I also installed the same Epson software to a desktop comouter (actually did this install first) which also has Acrobat, and it works fine in this computer.
    Finally, I treied uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobot, but the problem persists. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the all-in-one software and drivers, but to no avail.
    Frankly, I am at a loss - I would think that it is an Acrobat problem, but it works with the same program on a different PC. For the same reason, it does not seem to be  problem with the Epson driver or software.
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    The drivers were downloaded from the Epson web site this morning.
    This would not be so frustrating if I did not have two machines running the same version of Acrobat Professional, with the same scanning drivers, and the same version of Windows. You'd think if it works in one setup, it should work in the other, but this does not seem to be the case.

  • Work around for scanner on epson wp 4530 all in one device after Maverick update

    Epson technical staff helped me find the solution to find the scnning function from my 4530 all in one device.  Using "image cpature" command in "spotlight", find scanner in "shared" apps, then use the scanner function from there. 
    Before Maverick update, the scanner button light up in the 4530 device and I can scan from the window with the device.  Now I have to work around to get the job done.  Apple or Epson need to develop a new driver to recover this funtion.

    There's no need to use Spotlight for Image Capture.
    Launch Image Capture located in your Applications folder.
    Connect the scanner to your Mac whether Wi-Fi or USB.
    Click the very small black box bottom left side of the Image Capture window.
    You'll see this pop up menu:   Connecting this (device) opens:
    You can select a default app to scan (Image Capture) and select a folder from the Import To pop up menu on the right to save scanned files to.
    If you need help with the Image Capture software, click Help from the Image Capture menu bar.

  • My G4 w Tiger OS X won't connect to an Epson Artisan 810 All-In-One Printer

    My G4 with Tiger connected via USB 1.1 to an Epson Artisan 810 Combination Copier, Printer, Scanner, and Fax won't add to the Printer List of my G4 with OSX 10.4.11. The error message is "An error occurred while trying to add the selected printer. Error: -9672 and has Epson Preferred Support stumped. Three individual techs each one building on previous attempts tracked by reference numbers end up with the same error -9672. The following are rough outlines of attempts to add the Artisan 810 to the other (hp) Inkjet 5550 printer on the Printer List for the G4.
    1. Trash the com.apple.printer.plists, repair permissions, and install Printer Driver v6.61 (epson13216.dmg). Load Printer SetUp Utility, click on + (add) to show the Artisan 810 on the list to add, click on add, only to get error -9672.
    2. Install instead the Drivers and Utilities Combo Package for the printer (epson13613.dmg). Same result: error -9672.
    3. Trash Epson plug-ins in Library> Printer> Epson as well as Epsondriver.pkg in Receipts. Then install Printer Driver v6.61 again. No luck.
    The last support tech suggested going to Apple (the Genius Bar) for help, essentially saying "it's an Apple issue".
    BTW, the device checks out in a test using the copy feature. Beautiful!
