Hi,
you pass a binding as an input, bit the binding value. So instead of
#{bindings.attributeName} you need to pass #{bindings.attributeName.inputValue}

  • Passing parameter in task flow

    Hi,
    I want to pass parameter into task flow. I dont' use data control and i populate the table manually in backing bean and i want two parameter when the user click on the row of table. The task flow is composed only two pages: one with list of data and the another for details. Any suggestions?
    Best regards

    Well in that case the answer lies in my previous post. Set the value in requestScope (by using the setActionListener) and you can get the value in the taskflow (taskflow have parameters section).
    here it is how to set the value:
    <af:commandLink id="ot15" text="#{row.Date}" partialSubmit="true" action="activity"
                                                              shortDesc="Click here to visit Details">
                                                 <af:setActionListener from="#{row.Id}" to="#{requestScope.Id}"/>
                                              </af:commandLink>Look at taskflow options and you can easily get the value from there

  • Can we create application using only bounded task flow ?

    I am new to ADF ..
    can we create application by using only bounded task flow ...?
    one unbounded task flow is necessary for any application ? ....
    i searched on net ..but its not became clear
    Thanks

    I believe that it requires you to have at least one unbounded task flow as the standard entrance point for the application. However, I don't think there is anything stopping you from having the unbounded task flow only have access to your first bounded task flow. However, one of the purposes of the unbounded task flow is to define the different acceptable entrance points to your application.

  • Error while runtime customization for task flows in jdev drop6 build 11

    Hi,
    I am using jdev drop 6 build 11. I am trying to build a webcenter application in which I want to drag and drop task flows at runtime. I am able to add the ADF components at runtime. I am also able to expose the task flow at runtime on the UI after creating my own catalog. But if I try to add the task flow by dragging it, it gives an unhandled exception and it shows that no metadata found for metadata object for the task flow. And after this error I am not able to add the ADF components as well. It gives the same error. This is the error I get:

  • Passing parameter from task flow to another ADF Taskflow

    Hallo everyone, I have a case :
    1. I have ADF Bounded Task Flow, it contains two main elements - page P1 and another ADF Task Flow call - C1
    2. Page P1 has an atribut employee number as command image link,
    this command will call C1 and passing empNum as parameter
    3. C1 containts two page fragment , Pf1 and Pf2. Default activity is Pf1
    4. Ineed to pass parameter empNumb  available in P1 into ADF Task Flow call C1..
    Is it possible when I click command image link, then it will call Pf2 in C1 ?
    Please help.
    Regards,
    samantha

    Hi Samantha,
    You mean to say, u want to skip the default activity Pf1 in C1?
    And for passing parameters use Add a parameter in your taskflow. (put the empnumber in pageflowscope and pass that as a parameter to the new taskflow C1).
    Thanks

    What I suggest is go into EM and undeploy this composite and all versions. (Only if you don't want the existing ones). Then redeploy your process. This will avoid the version conflict and create a new version. 1.0. Then the next time you try and deploy you need to either specify a new version or check the box to say the version can be over written.
    cheers

  • Possible to use menuBar with task flow based ADF menus?

    Hello -
    I've just worked through the " [Create ADF Menus for Page Navigation|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/11/cuecards111/adf_set_43/ccset43_ALL.html] " tutorial. It shows how to create menus based on your task flows.
    My question: is it possible to use the af:menuBar with these menu models (instead of navigationPanes or breadcrumbs) ?
    I am using JDev 11g 11.1.1.1.0
    Thanks.
    Edited by: scott.turnquist on Nov 5, 2009 12:07 PM

    Hi,
    The XML menu model extends the Trinidad TreeModel, which extends Collection model. This allows you to access the hierarchical menu structure so that you can use af:iterator to build a structure to display in a af:menuBar

    The 3 errors shown above correspond to the 3 tags at the same level in the session.xml file. I have tested this validation process with a session.xml file generated from the workbench and that failed too. Since its a NoSuchMethodException it looks like my ant process isn't finding the oracle.toplink.tools.sessionconfiguration.XMLLoader class, but that is in toplink.jar which is in the class path.

  • How to display content without using webcenter services - task flows?

    Good day!
    I wanted to create a portlet where I can display and update an xml content retrieved from UCM Content Server. How can I do this without using taskflows (webcenter services)?
    Thanks in advance!
    Keith

    Hey Keith,
    Since you are already using the getResponseAsString() method you have your GET_FILE call working. To get the xml file as the file itself you need to instead call the getResponseStream() method. This will get you an InputStream representing the response.
    Once you have the stream you can do the following (I assume you are on a jsp page or somewhere you have access to the HttpServletResponse):
    String contentType = serviceResponse.getHeader("Content-Type");
    InputStream xmlInputStream = serviceResponse.getResponseStream();
    OutputStream outStream = response.getOutputStream();
    response.addHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment;filename=myXmlFile.xml");
    response.setContentType(contentType);
    StreamUtil.copyStream(xmlInputStream,outStream,true,true);
    The runthrough:
    1. get the content type of the file coming back form the GET_FILE call
    2. grab the file as an InputStream
    3. get the output stream representing the response
    4. add a header to the response to trigger the "download file" dialog
    5. set the content type of the response
    6. copy the input stream to the output stream to send the xml file to the browser
    Notes:
    -StreamUtil is part of the RIDC jar
    -use Content-Disposition = inline to tell the browser to try and render the file in it's window if it can.
    Hope that helps,

  • Using the login task flow in a page

    Hi All,
    WE have a login jspx page as the application landing page which has an embedded login taskflow as region which takes care of the login process login to the application .The bounded taskflow has 3-4 pages which helps to do the site key implementation for login process . The login.jspx is just a page to hold the bounded taskflow.
    So the idea is to navigate from the login page with taskflow to the home page after the successful login using the default navigation model (navigation Id for home page ) and the navigation is working fine. But some other features like , the change in locale done form the login page are not getting reflected to the main home pages)
    Please comment on the implementation and advice for the best practices or anything done wrong here.
    Thanks
    JZWL

    Hi John,
    In normal ABAP Report / Executable program if we need to get some details from user, we use parameters or select-options. But in BSP we cannot use these, instead we have to make use of UI elements.
    But in BSP, the scenario would be
    You will have 2 pages, one for selection screen and other for result.
    1. First page will have UI elements like input fields and Button for submit. onInputProcessing must be triggered on click on button, and set the value entered in input field to the second page attribute.
    2. In the result page, onInitialization even handler read the value from first page and call the BAPI with that value and display the results in Layout.
    Hope you are clear now

  • Getting error in using URL View in Task Flow

    Hi,
    Using Jdeveloper: 11.1.1.3.0
    What I am trying to achieve is that an ADF application can be bookmarked, and when it is open without a valid EBS login context, it should redirect it to the EBS login screen. In method initMainPage , I have code that determines if valid session exist or not. If not, then redirect to a login screen (which I trying to implement using URL View component).
    I am using a Bounded Task Flow. and the flow within is as follows:
    methodCall1 -> initMainPage (AM method) -> URL View
    For URL View, URL property is set to: #{MainPageContainerBean.ebsLogoutURL} . ebsLogoutURL is a String in MainPageContainerBean, with getter and setter as below.
    public String getebsLogoutURL() {
    return ebsLogoutURL;
    // return "/oracle/apps/flm/ekanban/common/ui/page/ParameterEntry.jsff";
    public void setebsLogoutURL(String ebsLogoutURL) {
    this.ebsLogoutURL = ebsLogoutURL;
