Error acceessing remote EJB 2.0 from OSB

Hi All,
I am trying to access a remote EJB(2.0) from OSB. When i am trying to connect to the EJB i am getting this error.
"java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect; No available router to destination"
I have built the WSDl based on the client jar that is provided and then configured the JNDI Provider. Then I provided the endpoint EJB URL in the following format.
ejb:JNDIProviderName:ConnectionfactoryName:JNDIName.
Let me know if i have missed out any configuration in order to access EJB. Your help is appreciated as we are struck in SIT.
Thanks,
B
.

Strange question. If you know EJB 2 and you know EJB 3, you should be able to answer this question yourself. If you don't know one of the two, you shouldn't be asking this question but hitting the books.
As for the errors you are getting, the error couldn't be more clear:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/fammllc/exceptions/LubeNominationExceptionIt doesn't even have something to do with EJBs, its a simple case of class not found. The warning is more odd as the EJB 3 spec defines that transactions should default to REQUIRED, not "NOT_SUPPORTED". If EJB 3 would really be in play here, you wouldn't be getting this warning. Its probably a case of "read the manual" - the manual of whatever container you are using (I'm guessing Weblogic, which has its own forum here: https://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=193).

    Hi i have followed the following steps which is specified in this thread
    You need to follow below steps...
    add a java parameter to the OSB server. Go to domains\osb_domain\bin folder and edit the setDomainEnv file and add this line to this file. set JAVA_PROPERTIES=-Dplatform.home=%WL_HOME% -Dwls.home=%WLS_HOME% -Dweblogic.home=%WLS_HOME% -Dcom.sun.xml.namespace.QName.useCompatibleSerialVersionUID=1.0
    Step 2 is to replace the bpel jars in the bpel transport ear. Go folder osb_10.3\lib\transports and open bpel10gtransport.ear and replace the following jar files orabpel.jar, orabpel-common.jar , xmlparserv2.jar and oc4jclient.jar with the ones you can find in the soa suite 10.1.3 home.
    But still i am getting the error.
    I am using WLS (10.0).Is it compatible with bpel-10g protocol, because i have already called a sync BPEL process with http protocol and it worked?This thread talks about WLS(9.2)

  • Getting error while calling ejb business methods from servlet

    Hi
    Iam getting error when i try to call a ejb method from servlet.Error is
    "com.netscape.server.eb.UncheckedException: unchecked exception nested exception is:java.lang.NullPointerException".
    I build the application and deployed it successfully.Iam using IAS 6.O with windows NT 4.0.
    This is just a method which takes values from database and return as an array of bean to servlet.
    Any help on this.Thanks Shank

    Hi
    I was using the session bean.Your suggestion helped me a lot.Perfect.
    I debug my program and found that from ejbCreate()exception is getting.
    I was getting the datasource object thro ejb create() initialisation.
    Somehow the look up jndi which i mentioned was not interpretting from ejb-jar.xml ias-ejb-jar.xml and datasource ref .Due to this iam getting jndi Namenotfound exception which in turns to null pointer as datasource is getting null.
    when i hardcoded in the ejb the the jndi name for datasource it is working fine.Bit worried all the existing ejbs working with the xml referenced datasource and jndi,but when i added a new ejb with same properties it is failing to get the jndi name.
    Piece of code from ias-ejb-jar.xml
    <resource-ref>
              <res-ref-name>myDataSource</res-ref-name>
              <jndi-name>jdbc/nb/myData</jndi-name>
    </resource-ref>
    Piece of code from ejb-jar.xml

    The procedure apex_cdc.enable_table_capture i created myself with no authid mentioned explicitly, so it uses definer rights, by default.
    BUt this procedure is simply a wrapper for sys.dbms_cdc_publish.create_change_table.
    When I look on the security model for this sys.dbms_cdc_publish, i see it runs under invoker rights. (http://www.psoug.org/reference/dbms_cdc_publish.html).

    Please help. The problem does not occur with Integrated WLS. I think the config scripts are correctly running from JDev.

    Hi,
    It's not easy to tell what's wrong with your example.
    Maybe you could send me a zip and I'll check when I have some time.
    By the way, you're asking a question about the lookup of an EJB3, I wrote an article that covers that topic.
    It should give you some interesting input.

    Hi,
    Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
    As per your comment, they have Remote Desktop client v5.2 and I suspect that due to this reason they can’t connect the remote session as the version if very old. We need to use latest RDP version to connect successfully. Also please check the certificate which
    is used by server, please check below article for information.
    Remote Desktop disconnected or can’t connect to remote computer or to Remote Desktop server (Terminal Server) that is running Windows Server 2008 R2

    Hope it helps!

    Is it a remote lookup? Then maybe this will help:

  • Error during JNDI lookup Accessing Remote EJB (access to web service restricted using declarative security model)

    Hello everyone,
    I developed a Web Service prototype accessing remote EJB using the EJB
    control with special syntax in the jndi-name attribute: @jws:ejb
    home-jndi-name="t3://10.10.245.70:7131/AccountDelegatorEJB"
    Everything works fine, but I get an error when I restrict access to my web
    service with a declarative security model by implementing steps provided in
    help doc:
    - Define the web resource you wish to protect
    - Define which security role is required to access the web resource
    - Define which users are granted the required security role
    - Configure WebLogic Server security for my web service(Compatibility
    Security/Users)
    I launch the service by entering the address in a web browser. When prompted
    to accept the digital certificate, click Yes, when prompted for network
    authentication information, enter username and password, navigate to the
    Test Form tab of Test View, invoke the method by clicking the button and I
    get the following exception:
    <error>

    I have a simple Hello method as well in my WebService (which is also
    restricted) and it works fine, but remote EJB access doesn't. I tested my
    prototype on Weblogic 7.2 and 8.1 platforms - same result.
    Is that a bug or I am missing some additional configuration in order to get
    that working. Has anyone seen similar behavior? Is there a known resolution?
    Or a suggested way to work around the problem?
    Thank you.

    Andre,
    It seems you are using the URL
    jndi:t3://secuser1:[email protected]:7131/AccountDelegatorEJB
    whereas you should not be specifying the "t3:" protocol.
    The URL should be like
    jndi://secuser1:[email protected]:7131/AccountDelegatorEJB
    Please do let me know if you see any issues with this.
    Note that this will only allow you to access remote EJBs in the same WLS
    domain. For accessing EJBs on another domain, you need to configure
    inter-domain communication by
    following a few simple steps as mentioned at
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/ConsoleHelp/jta.html#1106135. This link has
    been provided in the EJB Control Workshop documentation.

    Andre,
    Can you try using the following url with username and password
    jndi://username:password@host:7001/my.resource.jndi.object ?
    once you add webapp level security, the authenticated is the user who
    invokes the EJB.
    http://e-docs.bea.com/workshop/docs81/doc/en/workshop/guide/controls/ejb/con
    CreatingANewEJBControl.html?skipReload=true

  • Stand alone client for remote EJB corba error

    Regarding problem below, I've checked System env variables
    that weblogic server is using for CORBA classes:
    javax.rmi.CORBA.UtilClass=weblogic.iiop.UtilDelegateImpl
    org.omg.CORBA.ORBSingletonClass=weblogic.corba.orb.ORB
    org.omg.CORBA.ORBClass weblogic.corba.orb.ORB
    javax.rmi.CORBA.PortableRemoteObjectClass=weblogic.iiop.PortableRemoteObjectDelegateImpl
    But these are server classes and not found in wlclient.jar and wljmsclient.jar. What classes should be used for client? What needs to be set in order to get successful remote RMI/EJB call to weblogic server?
    Original post:
    I have a stand alone spring client for simple stateless session EJB deployed on weblogic 9.2. I'm using spring (jdk 1.5) to call this remote EJB and the only way I can succeed is to have full weblogic.jar in my bootstrap classpath. Otherwise I get corba error:
    CORBA BAD_PARAM 0 No; nested exception is:
    org.omg.CORBA.BAD_PARAM: vmcid: 0x0 minor code: 0 completed: No
    Interestingly, within same client I have JMS call to weblogic JMS and that fails if weblogic.jar is in boot classpath. Getting rid of weblogic.jar from boot classpath works if I have wlclient.jar and wljmsclient.jar in regular classpath (as per weblogic docs). I would think that for stand alone client all I would need is to weblogic client jars, why should I need to have full weblogic.jar?
    I can't get those work together with same classpath. I wonder if anybody has some pointers and/or advice. I was looking to set system parameters for corba for weblogic client that maybe could help:
    org.omg.CORBA.ORBClass
    org.omg.CORBA.ORBSingletonClass
    javax.rmi.CORBA.UtilClass
    javax.rmi.CORBA.StubClass
    javax.rmi.CORBA.PortableRemoteObjectClass
    But I can't find definitive answer.

    I'm stuck exactly with the same issue while trying to port my application from weblogic to jboss.
    I tried to specify different ORB implementations (JacORB, OpenORB) for jvm option org.omg.CORBA.ORBClass, but JBoss couldn't get them instantiated. Native Sun implementation which is used in JBoss by default and can be instantiated, apparently is not fully compatible with weblogic security module.
    So did you manage to find out the solution?

  • ClassCastException when I access an EJB from a remote EJB in WL 8.1

    I am using WebLogic 8.1 and am trying to lookup the home interface for an EJB (_ejbRemote_)
    from another EJB (_ejbCurrent_). They are deployed in seperate EARs. When I bundle
    the home and remote interfaces for ejbRemote in the EAR file that ejbCurrent
    is deployed in, everything works fine. But I need to be able to configure ejbRemote
    at run time and my customers don't want to have to bundle their classes in my
    EAR. So I invoke a custom classloader (of type java.net.URLClassLoader) that will
    load the home and remote interface classes for ejbRemote from a configurable
    location at runtime. This finds the classes no problem, and the InitialContext.lookup()
    returns a stub, but I get a 'java.lang.ClassCastException: Cannot narrow remote
    object' error when I call PortableRemoteObject.narrow(home, homeClass);
    The code looks like:
    // Assume EJBHomeStr = "com.foo.TestHome" in this case
    // Load the home interface class. This works.
    Class homeClass = urlClassLoader.loadClass(EJBHomeStr);
    // Lookup the home interface. This works.
    Object lookedUpHomeObject = initialContext.lookup(JNDIName);
    // This fails.
    Object homeObject = PortableRemoteObject.narrow(lookedUpHomeObject, homeClass);
    And the weblogic error looks like
    ... ; nested exception is:
    java.lang.ClassCastException: Cannot narrow remote object to com.foo.TestHome
    at weblogic.iiop.PortableRemoteObjectDelegateImpl.narrow(PortableRemoteO
    bjectDelegateImpl.java:219)
    at javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject.narrow(PortableRemoteObject.java:134)
    at ...[the rest is just my application code stack...]
    When I log the ClassLoaders for the affected objects, using getClass().getClassLoader(),
    I get:
    <snippet from log follows>
    getClass().getClassLoader(): weblogic.utils.classloaders.GenericClassLoader@667da1
    finder:
    weblogic.utils.classloaders.MultiClassFinder@db9199 annotation: myEJBApp@
    homeClass.getName(): com.foo.TestHome classloader = java.net.URLClassLoader@4f1707
    lookedUpHomeObject.getClass().getName(): com.foo.Test_EJB_kx82zy_HomeImpl_810_WLStub
    classloader = weblogic.utils.classloaders.GenericClassLoader@667da1
    finder: weblogic.utils.classloaders.MultiClassFinder@db9199 annotation: myEJBApp@
    <end snippet from log>
    So it appears that since the looked up Stub was loaded by the WebLogic classloader
    and the actual Home class was loaded by my URLClassLoader, the narrow() can't
    reconcile the two. I have tried both rmic and the Weblogic appc command to pre-generate
    the stubs, which I put in the same JAR as my home and remote interface classes
    and load with my custom classloader. But the standard stub (generated by either
    rmic or appc) is named TestHomeStub.class and Weblogic is ignoring those and
    making a class with the name Test_EJB_kx82zy_HomeImpl_810_WLStub, as shown above.
    I have also tried to put the remote interface classes and stubs in the System
    classpath using the -classpath option when I start WebLogic, but same result.
    The question is, Is there a way in WebLogic to communicate with a remote EJB in
    a seperate EAR without bundling anything about that remote EAR in my EAR? Or is
    there something I've missed? I need to keep my application J2EE compliant, meaning
    I can't hardcode any AppServer-specific code in my application.
    Thanks.

    Hi Jon,
    Glad to hear that.

    I fixed the problem. It turns out I didn't need to use a custom classloader at
    all, I just use Reflection directly on the classes ruturned from my JNDI lookup.
    So when I lookup the home class, I don't need to narrow or cast it, I just use
    Reflection to invoke the "create" method. Then I use the object that I get from
    create and directly invoke whatever method on it I need, again using Reflection.
    And that works.
    "Slava Imeshev" <[email protected]> wrote:
    Hi Jon,
    The problem is, this class is not available for the classloader
    running your "main code".
    You can try to hack the into the thread context class loader:
    Thread thread = Thread.currentThread();
    ContextClassLoader originalClassLoader = thread.getContextClassLoader();
    try {
    YourURLClassloader yourClassLoader = new
    YourURLClassloader(originalClassLoader);
    thread.setContextClassLoader(yourClassLoader );
    // your code goes here
    } finally {
    // Don't forget to restore it !!!
    thread.setContextClassLoader(originalClassLoader);
    Be very cautious. If you fail to restore the original context class loader,
    you will likely have to restart the server.
    Hope this helps.

    And the weblogic error looks like
    ... ; nested exception is:
    java.lang.ClassCastException: Cannot narrow remote object tocom.foo.TestHome
    at weblogic.iiop.PortableRemoteObjectDelegateImpl.narrow(PortableRemoteO
    bjectDelegateImpl.java:219)
    at javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject.narrow(PortableRemoteObject.java:134)
    at ...[the rest is just my application code stack...]
    When I log the ClassLoaders for the affected objects, using getClass().getClassLoader(),
    I get:
    <snippet from log follows>
    getClass().getClassLoader(): weblogic.utils.classloaders.GenericClassLoader@667da1
    finder:
    weblogic.utils.classloaders.MultiClassFinder@db9199 annotation: myEJBApp@
    homeClass.getName(): com.foo.TestHome classloader = java.net.URLClassLoader@4f1707
    lookedUpHomeObject.getClass().getName(): com.foo.Test_EJB_kx82zy_HomeImpl_810_WLStub
    classloader = weblogic.utils.classloaders.GenericClassLoader@667da1
    finder: weblogic.utils.classloaders.MultiClassFinder@db9199 annotation:myEJBApp@
    <end snippet from log>
    So it appears that since the looked up Stub was loaded by the WebLogicclassloader
    and the actual Home class was loaded by my URLClassLoader, the narrow()can't
    reconcile the two. I have tried both rmic and the Weblogic appc commandto pre-generate
    the stubs, which I put in the same JAR as my home and remote interfaceclasses
    and load with my custom classloader. But the standard stub (generatedby either
    rmic or appc) is named TestHomeStub.class and Weblogic is ignoringthose and
    making a class with the name Test_EJB_kx82zy_HomeImpl_810_WLStub, asshown above.
    I have also tried to put the remote interface classes and stubs inthe System
    classpath using the -classpath option when I start WebLogic, but sameresult.
    The question is, Is there a way in WebLogic to communicate with a remoteEJB in
    a seperate EAR without bundling anything about that remote EAR in myEAR? Or is
    there something I've missed? I need to keep my application J2EE compliant,meaning
    I can't hardcode any AppServer-specific code in my application.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I didn't configure the JNDI stuff in WLS per se. I created a simple session bean and the meta data in the jar of this determined the JNDI setup.
    Once this is deployed on either WLS it can then be seen in Weblogic Console by clicking on View JNDI Tree. The full JNDI name is present and correct on both WLS to which it is deployed.
    Does that answer your questions or are you asking how I configured the SOA Suite composite? In which case I selected the EJB in the Partner Link swimlane. Viewed the properties and added
    java.naming.provider.url
    t3://myremotehost:7001

  • Challenge: call local ejb from remote ejb on weblogic 9.2

    Hi ALL,
    How do I call to local ejb from remote ejb object. The jar file is deployed on weblogic server 9.2, if you want get it http://geocities.yahoo.com.br/lindembe/BEAProject.jar and the source code are http://geocities.yahoo.com.br/lindembe/BEAProject.zip. It is a sample app with two ejb that works so good on JBOSS, JOnAS, but BEA Weblogic.....
    The complete problem you watch http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=768718&messageID=4387570#4387570
    or
    http://forums.bea.com/bea/message.jspa?messageID=600043148&tstart=0

    Your code in SigemFacadeBean should just do:
    InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext();
    when you lookup the local EJB. (This will work on all app servers. There's no need to put an app-server specific intial context factory in your code.)
    Also, you can remove the jndi-name setting for the local ejb from your weblogic-ejb-jar.xml. jndi-name is only applied to remote ejbs.

  • Web Matrix FTP Remote Connection Error - "Connection Error - Failure to get file list from server. An entry with the same key already exists."

    Does anyone have experience with this issue when connecting to a Linux FTP Web Server running a FTP Site?
    "Connection Error - Failure to get file list from server. An entry with the same key already exists."
    I cannot access the root directory of the ftp file server using Web Matrix 3. The site is .php based, and
    is accessible when connecting with FileZilla or Remote Connecting via FTP with Visual Studio.
    All sites have been deleted from Web Matrix, the user Application Data has been cleared and Web Matrix has been reinstalled.
    Issue Persists....
    Thanks in advance,
    Justin

    Turns out that the program leaves metadata in your app data folder that is not removed upon uninstallation of the software.
    This is incorporated to communicate with a file that uploaded into the ftp directory when publishing pages.
