ERROR: Brain 174

Hi,
I have an urgent problem: I use a planning query to input some data into an BI 7.0 system. When I execute this query with only one input-enabled column it works. If I add a second row it doesnt.
The connection in Excel Business Analyzer breaks down without any notice, whereas the Portal gives the message ABEND BRAIN 174
Does anyone know what this message means?
Any help would be appreciated.

Customer Exit Variable - Variable Value Error BRAIN 000

I created a variable which is processed by 'Customer Exit'. This variable is 'optional' and NOT user input required.
And i have written my code in customer exit under I_STEP EQ 1.
I used the variable in my query as a default value for a free characteristic.
The query runs fine and return me the correct result.
The problem is when i used the same variable as a default value of a free characteristic in another query which has another user input variable for another characteristic, i got a warning message after input a value for another variable.
Variable Value Error BRAIN 000 <<i>my variable name</i>>
How to make it work in the second query?
Please help as I am new to this.

Make sure you still have the variable in the query. You did not delete it by mistake. Error is it self says that it can not find that 0P_KEYDT in the query. YOu can also try removing and adding it again.
Sometimes the order of making variable matters when you have dependency.

Transport error BRAIN 617 on import of Cube

We got the following error while transporting Infocube which had data in teh target BI system.
Error BRAIN 617 during after import handling of objects with type(s) CUBE
Change involved addition of a characteristic in the cube.
We are in BI 7.0 SP 13.

Then please try to import that request again by selecting all 'import options' in option tab. If you have added one character in cube,i am assuming you have transported all other things (transfer rule,update rule & infosource)

Error brain 284 impossible to solve

Hi guys !
Iu2019ve recently migrated BW from version 3.5 to version 7.
Iu2019ve got a problem with a query. In version 3.5, everything was ok but now that Iu2019m under version 7, thereu2019s a big error when I try to open it with the Bex Analyzer.
The error message is:
Variable LUNITBAS is incorrectly defined
Query could not be openec.
This is the error brain 284 checked with the transaction RSRT:
Diagnosis
Variable LUNITBAS has the processing type "Manual Input/Default Value". However, it is not input ready, and no default value has been specified.

Make the variable input ready or specify a default value.
Iu2019ve tried to make the variable input ready, and Iu2019ve specified a default value. Another error appeared in these two cases: RSR_BAD_CODING
Is there a way to correct this error ?

Yes the problem is in the variable.
If you changed the variable for input ready, and youu2019ve specified a default value and still doesn't work, try to create a new variable of type "Manual Input/Default Value" but be sure this time it is input ready or has a default value.
That should work.

Error BRAIN 659

Hello all,
I have a problem with a query web execution. I created an EXIT variable that is calculated from another variable in BW exit. I activated the exit and everything is OK. However when I try to execute the query an error appears:
ERROR BRAIN 659: "Function module does not exist for SAP exit variable ZVACONT" (ZVACONT is my exit variable).
But the procedure system proposes me, doesn't´t help me:
"Check if the RSVAREXIT_ZVACONT function module exists in the system.
If the function module exists but is inactive, activate it (transaction SE37).
If the function module does not exist in the system, check if the Business Content was correctly transferred, or if the function module was somehow incorrectly delivered by SAP. "
Function module "RSVAREXIT_ZVACONT" doesn´t exist in transaction SE37.
This is the first time this happends to me and I don´t know the solution.
Could anybody help me?

I think you have selected "SAP exit" while defining the veriable instaed of "Customer Exit".
if this is the case..
Redefine the "processing type" as "Customer exit".

ERROR BRAIN (599): for characteristic 0FISCPER Please enter a valid value

Weve an BI 7.0 System with Patch Level SP12 which is previously connected to an NW 7.0 Portal System + BI Java that has SP13 installed.
Were able to create Queries and Web Templates via Query Builder and WAD for BI 7.0 and publish to portal.
Recently, weve installed a new NW 7.0 Portal + BI Java with same package level. We made the configurations for Bex via Template Installer and everything is ok.
Our reports has a 0FISCPER characteristics and when we run the reports in new portal, it displays the report. But when we want to change period and click the button created to set period, a popup opens and errors like "for characteristic 0FISCPER Please enter a valid value " displayed on popup.

BW3.1C (Content)
           Import Support Package 18 for Release 3.1C (BW3.1C Patch 18 or SAPKW31C18) into your BW system. The Support Package will be available when note 0723260 with the short text "SAPBWNews BW 3.1C Support Package 18", describing this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
BW 3.50
           Import Support Package 9 for Release 3.50 (BW3.50 Patch 09 or SAPKW35009) into your BW system. The Support Package will be available when note 0763335 with the short text "SAPBWNews BW SP09 NetWeaver'04 Stack 09", describing this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
This note may already be available before the Support Package is released. However, the short text will still contain the words "preliminary version" in this case.

Error BRAIN 276 when you execute a Web template in BI Admin Cockpit in EP

Hi Experts,
I have Installed BI Administration Business Packages in Portal and configured necessary steps in BI System.I have assigned the role in Portal and BI System.
I tried executing one iview...and was getting the following error:
Error loading template 0TPLI_0TCT_MCA1_Q0143
and when i click on the above error ..i was getting another window which shows below message:
Technical Information for Message:
Error loading template 0TPLI_0TCT_MCA1_Q0143
Notification Number BRAIN 276
I was suggested by SAP Note 1014795 to do the below changes :
TEMPLATE_ID=0TPLI_0TCT_MCA1_Q0143 To TEMPLATE=0TPLI_0TCT_MCA1_Q0143
Please note that the above note says to replace TEMPLATE_ID by TEMPLATE in the property of "BEX Web application Query String" of the IView in Portal
and also please note that i have Version=SAP BW 2.X/3.X in Iview Property .
After having made the above changes iam getting the BEX Web Analyzer...where i have the options to open a query ( from all the infoareas of BI System).and then i will select the query (0TCT_MCA1_Q0143) and am executing the same to display the data.
i know that this Is not the correct way of executing the iview for BI Admin Cockpit.
Can anyone help me how to execute the Web Template automatically when the user clicks on IView ?
we have all the above Web Templates Corresponding to BI admin cockpit in active mode in when checked from WAD 3.X , but when when i search for the above web templates in WAD 7.0 i do not find them
Is there anything that i need to activate in BI System ? Or in Portal System?
Or do i have to execute the above web templates in BI WAD before linking them to portal iviews?
Do we have to Migrate the Web Templates from BW 3.5 to BI 7.O?

2) How come the delivered process chains load other technical content, but does not load 0TCT_CA1

Hi Gurus,
I need to have a page displaying customer information (BSP ACCOUNT, view NAV_MAN) and a report displaying information related to the selected customer.
Using the EP 7.0, I created a factsheet page with the view Account, the view com.sap.pct.crm.factsheet.commmanager_url and the view for the report (com.sap.pct.crm.core.factsheet.FSBWWrapper)
When I execute the page, after the selection of a customer I get the following error

Brain errors are related to Front end issues and OLAP.
Check ur CKF and the query definition.
what is your SP Level - there is a note on something else which also gives the Brain 454 message

Activation of ODS failed ( error brain 60)

Hi,
Data is loaded with status green in ODS.But during activation of ODS,it gives message for one of the characteristics :
1.Value 'RFI 773371 NAT ' (hex. '52464920373733333731204E4154A0A0A0A0A0 ') of characteristic ZABC contains invalid (BRAIN60)
2.Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT table ZABC
Info Object 'ZABC' is gettin only transaction data.(No master/text table created)
No error records are shown up in PSA.

The string you provided contains ivalid symbol. They are not acceptable by ODS. You need to remove or replace them.
