Error calling EBusiness Suite Public API's from SOA

Hi, I'm doing some proof of concept work with SOA Suite v 10.1.3.10. When I try to call any of the EBiz suite public API's that have user defined types for records and tables passed as parameters I get the following error when the Oracle Application Adaptor tries to create the WSDL and necessary sql scripts:
Error while writing wsdl file C:\Program
Files\jDeveloper\jdev\mywork\CRMTest\CRMTest\CRMOut3.wsdl.
Exception:
The wrapper procedure, CS_SERVICEREQUEST_PUB$CREATE_,
could not be found in the package, XX_BPEL_CRMOUT3, for the schema, APPS.
To move beyond this I created a skeleton stored procedure containing a declaration for the
CS_SERVICEREQUEST_PUB$CREATE_ function (and selected overwrite script in the wizard) and am now getting the following error:
Error while writing wsdl file C:\Program
Files\jDeveloper\jdev\mywork\CRMTest\CRMTest\CRMOut3.wsdl.
Exception:
Unable to expand a user defined type definition.
An unexpected exception occurred while trying to analyze teh user defined type definition of parameter .
Check to ensure that the user defined type is defined correctly in the database. Contact oracle support if
error is not fixable.
This works fine for the API's that just use basic types. I've also tried this with the Database Adapter and this seems to work OK too, just not with the Oracle Application Adapter.
Thanks for any help you can provide
Mike

Hi Christine,
It looks like a couple of the Application Servers aren't starting when OC4J starts, I need to hunt through the logs to identify the source of the problem but in the meantime I'm starting them manually from the Application Server Control. To do this expand the OC4J server and check that all the services are running (green up arrow) any that are down, click on them and start them manually. I had to manually start hw_services and deploy_service but the Worklist now runs fine.
It's possible that you won't see this problem yourself as you're upgrading from a later release than I started from but from a brief google session it looks like others have seen the same problem for different reasons. I've seen some posts that refer to the default port of the Worklist changing so that it needs starting with http://host:8988/integration/worklistapp/Login instead of http://host:8888/integration/worklistapp/Login.
Because I'm also having problems shutting down SOA suite I suspect that the patch has mangled one of the configuration scripts and I'll post the root cause when I've had chance to pore over the logs.
Regards
Mike

  • Javascript error calling a bi 7.0 webapplication from a bsp application

    Hi everyone,
This is the scenario we're facing a javascript error :
Enterprise Portal is calling a custom bsp application ( via an iview in the enterprise portal ) in the bi system with a parameter "template_id" and a value, which is the technical name of a bi web application.
The bsp application is evaluating the parameter by some custom code and creating a html page with a redirect or a maintenance message to the bi web application passed with the parameter "template_id".
The html link to the bi web application is created according to this documentation :
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/46/03d4ac801467e6e10000000a1553f6/content.htm
Purpose of the bsp application :
in the bi system there is a database table to maintain a flag for each webtemplate and infocube, which should not be called via the enterprise portal for a certain time ( some kind of maintenance switch ). The bsp application then decides to show a maintenance page for the called webtemplate or to send the redirect page to the client.
The process described above is :
working with the bi 7.01 sp7 in the bi ( enterprise portal sp22 ) in the productive system.
working in the Q&A system bi 7.01 sp8 with bi 3.5 web applications.
not working in the Q&A system bi 7.01 sp8 with bi 7.0 web applications.

    Hello everyone,
we did some further analysis on this problem und we think we found the problem.
The error occurs while trying to execute the standard url for web templates inside a Enterprise Portal Frame, for example
    https://XXX:XXX/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?TEMPLATE=XXX
While executing the URL a HTML-Page with some embeded Javascript-code is sent back to the browser.
In this Javascrip-Code, the method-call "dsmObj.registerAll" leads to a script error in Internet Explorer.
    dsmObj.registerAll("pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/platform_add_ons/com.sap.ip.bi/iViews/com.sap.ip.bi.bex", "GUSID:6FC9SuhGDPIMMLwOdeHEIg--_7WQud13yeLJDz2kYoQFSg--", "1307605928212");
In SP7, the method "dsmObj.registerFullKey" is called instead of "dsmObj.registerAll". This has changed in SP8.
    dsmObj.registerFullKey("GUSID:iBPvyska9*xE_JBalkQG2g--YyKv2C3NToP0I79Mw7EO8w--", "1307606479963");
The object "dsmObj" seems to reference the parent frame of the Enterprise Portal.
Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas how we can fix this?
    Kind regards,
    Matthias

  • GP public API: is it possible to call that using BSP

    Hi
if we dont want to involve NWDI development,  is it possible to call those GP public APIs using BSP?
    any tutorial avaiable?
    thanks and best regards.
    Jun

    Hi Jun,
The GP Public APIs are Java APIs and without NWDI/NWDS, it is not possible to use them. It is not possible to call them from the ABAP Side.
However, it is possible to start a GP Procedures via Web Service. That might help you if you want to start a Guided Procedures from a BSP. But the display of the runtime might be  a problem since it is not possible to jump from a BSP to a portal page. At least, I don't know how if it is possible.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    David

  • Oerror while inserting in to 11g database from SOA suite 11g db adaptor

    Hi,
I am getting following error while inserting in to 11g database from SOA suite 11g database adaptor. Can you please help me on this.
    "{http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension}bindingFault" has been thrown.
Exception occured when binding was invoked. Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'insert' failed due to: DBWriteInteractionSpec Execute Failed Exception. insert failed. Descriptor name: [LoggerDBInsert.LoggedError]. Caused by java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-01722: invalid number . ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception. Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution. ORA-01722: invalid number 1722
    Regards,
    Bharat

It looks like you try to insert a string-value in a number-column.
can you check all your assign and their values before you invoke the db-adapter, then you should be able to narrow down the problem.

I do understand that it's Financials but since I am not from this Background, I would like to know what would the list be sorted in terms of Importance and demand.!!You will never find such a list as this depends on what type of business any organization is doing. In some organizations you will find that CRM or Financial is the main module which is some other organizations HRMS is the main module.

  • EBusiness Suite Integration Best Practice

I'm just starting an integration project with eBusiness Suite. We are using SOA Suite for the majority of the intergration points but I have a question over large flat files, e.g. 100MB+. SOA suite doesn't handle these too well as you need to do a lot of tuning and need big hardware.
Traditioanlly we used to use unix scripts and dataloader but this seems so old school, therefore I'm looking for a solution that brings it into this century.
    Any ideas are appreciated.
    James

For large datafiles sql*loader is still the tool of choice. The only variation that You may find nowdays is the use of external tables.

    Hi James,
    Thanks for the quick reply.
We've tried to call that web service from an HTML designed in Visual Studios with the same username and password and its working fine.
But on the BPEL console, we are getting the error as mentioned.
Also if you can tell me how to set the user name and password in the header of the parter link.I could not find how to do it.
    Thanks,

WS Binding: exception durign SOAP invocation: java.util.NoSuchElementException
Looks like the error is in the data sent to or expected from the service in your composite. Check that audit logs and composite flow to make sure your soap message when using soapui matches what you are working with in soa suite.

  • How to generate XML from EBusiness suite ARXSGPO

Could someone tell me how I can generate XML from the EBusiness Suite Accounts Receivable report ARXSGPO.rdf I understand this report is called by a C program. I have tried changing the concurrent request to output format to XML the result does not resemble XML. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can generate XML from the ARXSGPO report?
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Mark
the next release of XMLP will have last page only support. The problem is that at the template layer you do not know how many lines are going to fit on the page, so you never know what is going to be the last page. The only way around it for now is to specify the number of lines to a page and then check when all the lines have been rendered and then render the remit portion.
I have a sample invoice that does the same, drop me a mail, you can work out the email from my name and the fact I work for XMLP Im sure.

  • Creating Job material using public API from WIP

Take the entered component part number and search in the WIP job material requirements. This should use a WIP API. If the material is found, increment the quantity. If material is not found, create the job material using public API. (Provide WIP API details)
The java object, oracle.apps.csd.schema.server .CsdHvWipJobPvtEO is a wrapper to call WIP API. This should be used to create material requirements is this the procedure to create job material Req.
from OAF how we have to create Job material transaction

    Hi Pat,
What is your SBO version? I've seen several cases in which the login/connection procedure (both in the client and via DI API) has become much slower after upgrading to SBO 2005.
Do you experience the same slowness when connecting via DI API in a non-WebService setting?
I would not recommend using DI API in a web service context in the first place. DI Server would give you a much more robust, stable and scalable infrastructure to build upon.

  • 401 Unauthorized Error When calling a SharePoint REST web service from SharePoint 2013 Workflow

We have our Workflow Manger installed on the same server as our SharePoint 2013 WFE development environment. When creating a SharePoint 2013 Workflow all Calls to a SharePoint 2013 REST web service results in a 401 Unauthorized error.
As an example I created a simple workflow that should return a JSON result. The REST Url returns the results in the browser without error.
    Set Variable:webServiceUrl to https://<hostnamedsitecollection>/_vti_bin/client.svc/web/lists/getbytitle('ISR%20Approvers')/Items?$select=Title&$filter=Title%20eq%20%27General%27
then Build{...} Dictionary (Output to Variable:requestHeaders)
then Call [%Variable:webServiceUrl%] HTTP web service with request (ResponseContent to Variable:responseContent |ResponseHeaders to responseHeaders | ResponseStatusCode to Variable:responseCode)
The RequestHeader is set to the requestHeaders variable though the web service call properties
then Log Variable:responseCode to the workflow history list
After manually running the workflow in SharePoint on a list item in the ISR Approvers list it Logs "Unauthorized" in the Workflow History Log. It does this with every SharePoint REST web service call that I have tried through the workflow.
It doesn't have anything to do with the Workflow Manger being installed on the same machine as the SharePoint WFE does it?
    Thank You for any insight

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you had 401 Unauthorized Error when calling a SharePoint REST web service from SharePoint 2013 Workflow.
Please make sure you use the ‘Call HTTP Web Service’ correctly.
You can enter the URL into the brower to check whether it is correctly.
    You need to
    create the Request header requestHeaders
    using a Dictionary:
    Accept : application/json;odata=verbose
    Content-Type : application/json;odata=verbose
    To associate the
requestHeaders variable, select the Call action
property, set the RequestHeaders property to
    requestHeaders.

  • Urgent - Error calling web service generated from plsql package

    Hi,
I am using Jdeveloper 10.1.3 production release.
I am trying to publish a plsql packaged procedure as a web service.
    My first question is -
When I am publishing the plsql API as a WS, should I choose the style Document/Wrapped or RPC Literal? Document Wrapped is the default in the wizard.
My second question - Depending on whether I choose Document/Wrapped or RPC Literal style, I get 2 different errors when I try to run the client java file (generated by Jdeveloper) that calls the web service. The client java compiles successfully but when I run I get these messages:
    Document/Wrapped error -

Now all the classes are generated by JDeveloper automatically from the plsql API. So I am not sure why the errors occur and how to fix these.
Also, these errors are occurring on plsql APIs that have input or output parameters of plsql record type or pslql table of record type. These errors don't occur if the api is simple with scalar input or output parameters only.
I would appreciate any help on how to resolve these errors.
    Thanks,
    Raji

    Hi,
I'm wondering if the problem is actually that the client is failing to connect to the server correctly. Can I suggest that you switch on the HTTP Analyzer and see what comes back there.
Is it possible it is a proxy problem? If you are working locally then I first suggest that you ensure that the Web Browser Proxy is off (see Tools -> Preferences -> Web Browser Proxy) - and that there are no exceptions listed (either with the proxy on or off) before you start the HTTP Analyzer.
As to Doc/Wrapped or RPC. see this blog entry for a little more explanation:

  • ACE - unable to execute various show commands. Error: Called API timed out

Hi I am runnng version A2(2.3)  on a HA ACE setup.
I have noticed today that issuing various show commands such as 'show run' and 'show probe' on the active ACE have suddenly stopped working. On hitting return the ACE sits there for a while non respondant before finally outputting an Error: Called API timed out and then returning to the command prompt. It only seems to happen on show commands that would generate a lot of output, for example a 'show version' works. I have also noticed a delay sometimes in logging into the active ACE which has again only come to light today.
We havent made any changes recently and this behavior has not been seen before.
I could only find one similar posting which kind of suggested that a high logging level may be to blame for this issue, we are running at debugging level but have since the ACE's were brought into play over 12 months ago (yep i know logging at that level is far from ideal).
Production traffic does not seem to be affected at present.
Apart from reudcing the logging level I am not sure what else could be causing this issue, has anyone come across this one before?
Unfortunaltey the 'show resource usgae in one of the commands that wont work'
A 'show cpu'  command shows nothing above 10%
Though multiple context are configured (3), the default resource allocation is in place between all three.
Thanks for taking the time to read.

Thanks for the response I will take a look at that Bug ID.
In the end as you have already suggested above I ended up failing across to the standby ACE and powering down/up  the affected ACE module from the switch CLI. This seems to have restored all functionality. Even a soft reload command prior on the affected ACE didnt take affect.

  • ACE - Error: Called API encountered error

    Hello All,
I was trying to add a ssl-proxy server to a policy map when I had this error message "Error: Called API encountered error".
    I'm running version A2(1.4a).
did anyone encounter the same issue?
    Rgds,
    Thibault.

The ACE uses an SSL proxy service in a Layer 7 policy map to load balance outbound SSL initiation requests to SSL servers. The ACE acts as an SSL client sending an encrypted request to an SSL server. For more information about SSL initiation, see the Cisco Application Control Engine Module SSL Configuration Guide.
To specify an SSL proxy service in a policy map, use the ssl-proxy command in policy map load-balancing class configuration mode. The syntax of this command is as follows:
    ssl-proxy client name
The name argument is the identifier of an existing SSL proxy service. Enter an unquoted text string with no spaces and a maximum of 64 alphanumeric characters.
    For example, enter:
    host1/Admin(config-pmap-lb-c)# ssl-proxy client PROXY_SERVICE1
To remove the SSL proxy service from the policy map, enter:
    host1/Admin(config-pmap-lb-c)# no ssl-proxy client PROXY_SERVICE1
