  • Error deploying BI Beans Application to OC4J standalone

    Hi,
    I'have developed BI Beans application. I use generating COMPLETE BI Beans application in JDev 10.1.2.0.0(1811).
    Modify a little bit logging to an application. Everything works fine with Embedded OC4J on my Computer. I try to deploy application to WIN2000 computer and everything works fine(i have to overwrite JDBC drivers in OC4J directory structure with files from JDev directory structure - file names classes12.jar, classes12dms.jar, nls_charset12.jar). Everything was fine. Now i'm trying to deploy application to SOLARIS computer, i follow same steps as in WIN2000 computer case, and when i try to create new presentation i got an error

  • Error Creating Database on Oracle 10g Release 2

    I'm having a problem creating a second database on 10g release 2 on Windows server 2003.
    I have created an initialization parameter file on %Oracle_Home%\database\initDB2.ora
    However, whenever I try to run sql command to create a database with the same name as the db_name parameter in the initialization parameter, it gives an error database name 'DB2' does nto matchthe parameter db_name = dbase
    dbase is the first database that was created automatically when I installed Oracle.
    Any solutions? Why is the server not using the parameter file I have created? Why does it seem to use the initialization parameter file that belongs to the first database?
    Cheers

    'startup nomount' with 'pfile=...initDB2.ora' clause? In this case Oracle chooses a server parameter file (spfile) by default and I still assume ORACLE_SID is set to your first database. So automatically spfile from the first database is used. You should try:
    set ORACLE_SID=DB2
    (now in sqlplus) startup nomount pfile=%ORACLE_HOME$\database\initDB2.ora

    What am I missing? Note that on 9.0.4.2 and its previous versions the deployment was successful.

    We use EJB2.0 and as per the specifications entity class and getters/setters should be abstract. This is what we have. I have verified the dtd used in ejb-jars and it has references to the correct version. Here is an example <!DOCTYPE ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Enterprise JavaBeans 2.0//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/ejb-jar_2_0.dtd">. Also the tag <cmp-version>2.x</cmp-version> is included for all the entity beans.
    Now I am just curious to know if anyone has tried deploying Entity Beans 2.0 on a 10.1.3? and if so was the deployment successful?

  • Error Deploying CMP Entity Bean

    Hi,
    I am new to Entity Beans and am trying to deploy a CMP Entity Bean without any success.
    I did search this forum for similar issues and tried those suggestions as well but that has not helped. Was wondering if someone could help me out on this.
    The Entity bean has 2 fields: name and description.
    The ejb-jar.xml file for this bean is:
    <enterprise-beans>
    <entity>
    <ejb-name>Product</ejb-name>
    <home>example.cmp.ProductHome</home>
    <remote>example.cmp.Product</remote>
    <ejb-class>example.cmp.ProductBean</ejb-class>
    <persistence-type>Container</persistence-type>
    <prim-key-class>java.lang.String</prim-key-class>
    <reentrant>false</reentrant>
    <cmp-version>2.x</cmp-version>
    <abstract-schema-name>PRODUCTS</abstract-schema-name>
    <cmp-field>
    <field-name>name</field-name>
    </cmp-field>
    <cmp-field>
    <field-name>description</field-name>
    </cmp-field>
    <primkey-field>name</primkey-field>
    <query>
    </query>
    </entity>
    </enterprise-beans>
    The error that I get while deploying the bean is:

    Please note that the data-source has been re-architectured in 10.1.3 DP3 and you should have DataSource as follows:

  • Error While deploying Entity Bean

    Hi,
    We are using JDeveloper 3.2.2 to deploy EJB into Oracle 9ias (Oracle 8.1.7 database). The following error occured while deploying entity bean.
    "Persistence provider declared in the deployment descriptor is not supported

    Please help us with the solution if anyone have come across this kind of error.

    Thank you Raghu, We were in a position to deploy the entity bean to the database. We solved the problem by adding the following parameters to the init.ora file
    (a) Java_max_sessionspace_size
    (b) java_soft_sessionspace_limit
    When I tried to create an EJB for a table in another schema, it started deploying the BC4J to that schama also. Is it necessary that BC4J should deploy in all the schemas of the database ? Can I deploy BC4J to one schema and grant required permissions to others users or create public synonym for BC4J ? Can you please tell me how I can deploy BC4J globally for an instance of Oracle (Applicable to all the schemas in that instance) ?

    This might be best asked in the Oracel Text forum...
    But, it appears that you have extproc configured correctly, the problem is that extproc cannot find the shared object in question. It cannot dynamically load the shared object becaus it cannot find it.
    In my experience, this is due to a LD_LIBRARY_PATH unix environmental variable that does not include the directory where the shared object is. You should set this variable in the login script for the oracle user.
    From the installation guide.... I am not sure if this library is in ORACLE_HOME/lib, if not add the directory to LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    Required when using Oracle products that use shared libraries. Set LD_LIBRARY_
    PATH to include $ORACLE_HOME/lib.

    </orion-ejb-jar>
    i think it is something to do with some sun JMS class and JDBC connection. i'm pretty sure that my resource provider (oracle.jms.OjmsContext) is connecting to the database and finding the queue.
    anyone out there have any ideas, or can see something wrong with what i've done here with my configuration.

    Seems OC4J9.0.2 has some problems with AQ/MDB....
    But i have tested a small test case application which uses AQ/MDB in OC4J9.0.3.
    It works fine...So if anyone of you want that let me know abt that...
    i will send it....:-)

  • Newbie Error deploying Beans

    Good afternoon,
    I'm trying to resolve an issue generated during a deployment of my EJB's.
    The error follows:
    Property change error for property "Deploy"
    No beans were found in the jar file d:\weblogic451\myserver\Appointment.jar.
    Please make sure that the manifest of the JAR file contains an .SER file
    with the Enterprise-Bean: true attribute.
    I'm enclosing the jar file and properties file for review. Do I have an
    issue with the manifest file format? A class path issue? I'm assuming the
    manifest file is properly formatted because I have created jar files. I'm
    running Weblogic version 4.5.1 on WinNT. Also, how do I tell what version
    of the service pack is installed? I installed SP 9, but have no way to
    verify the installation actually completed except the server does start.
    Please note, I'm taking a class at school and this is my first attempt to
    deploy beans.
    Thanks for the help,
    Rich Olson

  • Error deploying Beans

    Thanks for the help,
    Rich Olson

  • Error while deploying a Bean

    Hi ,
    I am not able to deploy a bean.
    I can see a yellow patch/mark in xBean under ejb-jar.xml.Also in the packages under ejb-module.xBean.java also has that yellow mark.However EAR looks fine.
    There is some problem with the bean but I am not able to trace out.
    Deployment error is as below:

    Somebody please help.
    Thanks,
    Richa

    Hi Richa,
    Check your references in the EAR Project. Add the relvant references, deploy and check.
    -Thanks,

    Thank you very much for your quick response.
    So, then I tried to deploy my classes without including the
    Oracle libraries in the advanced deploy options, and this is
    what I got (I try to deploy a Java Stored Procedure which calls
    Oracle Business Components for Java. It's working all fine
    locally in a Java VM, but now I want to access that remotely
    through a Java Stored Procedure):
