• HELP error FRM-40039: Cannot attach library common while opening form

Hi
I want to help me with the NEXT issue is urgent.
I'm working with forms 10g and using a linux server. To compile objects, forms, reports and menus use the Putty.
Well the issue is that when a form hanging linux server I get the error message sgte:
FRM-40039: Can not attach library while opening form common ....
I tried changing the path FORMS_PATH, also put the. PLL. Plx on those routes Server
but I have no result, I still leave the same message.
I go to pc urgently to solve this problem that has me worried for days.
Thanks in advance for your advice
regards

Three possible causes:
1. The pll is not existnant on the linux-server in the FORMS_PATH or the FORMS_PATH-environment-variable is not set.
2. When attaching the pll to forms you have attached it without removing the path. Try to deattach and reattach the pll in the form.
3. The attachment of a pll is case-sensitive in linux. So, when you types the pll-name is lowercase when attaching it, the pll must exist in lowercase in the linux-filesystem.

• FRM-40039 Cannot attach library webutil while opening form

FORMS90_PATH=C:\Applications\Webutil\forms;C:\Applications\Wms;
Webutil.Pll is in the first directory.
All other code (PLL and FMX etc ) is the second directory.
I have bounced the formsserver.
The application works fine, until...
I attach the library webutil to the form (without path).
I run the form and receive the error.
I have NOT even started with Webutil.Olb yet !!!
Anyone any thoughts ?

Mark - the builder will look for PLLs onthe Forms90_path in the registry . The runtime looks in the formsweb.cfg and default.env (it will be in the default.env).

• Error:frm - 40039 can't attach PL/SQL Library

Hi All,

I tried google . But not getting solution.
Please Help.

So I assume it's when you test our of the Builder ....
go to <developer-home>\forms\server
ther you find formsweb.cfg and default.env
if you haven't changed formsweb.cfg, make a security copy of default.env, open default.env in an editor, look form FORMS_PATH= and set your forms-/library-path in front of the other directories (dont forget the separator ';' at the end).
if you have a changed a formsweb.cfg then may be you are another envFile; look for envFile in formsweb.cfg. If you find something other than default.env note the section (that's that name in '[' ']' above), check if your are using this section; but I rate this propability as rare. Try the above first.

• 10g Forms FRM-40039 can't attach library

On a new Unix install of OAS 10g
FORMS_PATH is being set in the default.env and .profile
The form attachment was done with removing the explicit path
With the full path, the form finds the library
suggestions?

Move the .pll and .plx files in one of the directories pointed by the FORMS_PATH environment variable. Ensure also that there is no case difference, because Unix system is case sensitive.

• Frm-40039: Cannot attach library webutil while opening form webutil

Hi!
I have configured WebUtil on my system according to the document provided with the software.
I could run the form along with the CLIENT_OLE2 when I attached the webutil library without removing the path.
The same form I could not run when i remove the path while attaching the library to form.
I have checked the FORMS90_PATH variable in formsweb.cfg and also in the system registry and the path where webutil.pll is lying is mentioned in it.
Please help.
Regards

To be absolutely sure it's working as you expect, use Filemon from http://sysinternals.com. It will show you the path and file of every file trying to be opened. That way you can verify if Forms is really looking where you expect it to be looking.
I suspect it is coming down to something with your path. Maybe try a short path with no spaces as a test.

Robin Zimmermann.

• FRM-40039: Cannot attach library webutil while opining form

I have installed webutil in Windows 2000 in order to perform some features.
When I run my forms from Forms Builder this message appear
FRM-40039: Cannot attach library webutil while opining form.
I don't know what is wrong. I have set the virtuals path, like this:
For an Oracle Developer Suite installation, add the following line to the file
j2ee/DevSuite/application-deployments/forms/forms90web/orion-web
.xml under the Oracle Developer Suite Oracle Home:
(The following assumes that you have installed WebUtil into a directory c:\webutil)
<virtual-directory virtual-path="/webutil"
real-path="c:/webutil/lib" />
On a OracleAS install, define the same virtual directory in the forms90/server/forms90.conf file:
AliasMatch ^/forms90/webutil/(..*) "c:/webutil/lib/$1"
I need some help!!

You need to include the location of the pll into the FORMS90_PATH that is defined in your environment file - e.g. default.env

• Can not attach library for use OC4J

Hi,
I am new to Oracle designer and have go to the point where I am trying to run a form I generated in Oracle Designer but the error I keep having is FRM-40039 cannot attach library - I get this for four libraries that are attached to the form; OFGCALL. OFGTEL, OFGNAVL, OFGMES. I have been playing about and attaching/removing them from the form, and saying NO to the dialog box that comes up saying 'attached library name xxxx contains a non-portable directory specification. Remove path?' seems to mean that the form will then start to have an error on one of the other libraries - so you would think that by attaching them all in this way that the form would run - but it doesnt.
Can someone please help? I have checked the forms path in the registry and it does point to the folder where these pll and plx files are located.
Many thanks

Hello,
I am not sure to understand your question around OC4J and Forms/Designer.
I doubt that the issue is related to OC4J since OC4J is a pure J2EE/Web Services container that does not have direct links with OracleAS Forms Server.
I am inviting you to post this question in Oracle Designer or Forms forums

• FRM-40039 cannot attach library ofgbsl while opening ccw2031

I got the above error when I try to run the program ccw2031 on the ie browser. First of all there are 3 files attached in my 4.5 forms. These libraries are the following; OFG4BSL.pll, OFG4mnl.pll, OFG4tel.pll. Upgrading it to 10g for windows had no problems since there is a corresponding libraries namely OFGBSL.pll, OFGMNL.pll OFGTEL.pll and OFGMES.pll.
My program compiled with no errors when i tried attaching those 4 files in my Developer Suite 10g for unix.
The problem came out when I tried to run it using the Application Server.
And when I try accessing the program again in the forms developer i got the following messages:
FRM-10102: Cannot attach PL/SQL library OFGBSL. This library attachment will be lost if the module is saved.
FRM-10102: Cannot attach PL/SQL library OFGMES. This library attachment will be lost if the module is saved.
FRM-10102: Cannot attach PL/SQL library OFGMNL. This library attachment will be lost if the module is saved.
FRM-10102: Cannot attach PL/SQL library OFGTEL. This library attachment will be lost if the module is saved.
Questions: 1. Are there any libraries equivalent to these 4 files in UNIX?
2. Can I use the windows version and compile using frmcmp? Actually i tried this already but did not work.
3. How do I configure the Developer Suite 10g for Unix to be able to attach the libraries mentioned if it works?
Can Anybody help me.....Please.
Edited by: user7493752 on Jan 30, 2009 12:17 AM

First, you don't need to replace the pll's with the 4 in the middle (e.g. OFG4BSL) by the ones without the 4 in the middle and i wouldn't do it. The libraries belong to different versions of the forms-generator from oracle-designer (the *4*-ones form Designer 2000 generating forms 4.5, the ones without the *4* starting with version 6i). But both versions are "pure" pll's, so they can easily migrated to 10g.
FRM-10102: Cannot attach PL/SQL library OFGBSL. This library attachment will be lost if the module is saved.Your problems can be based on one of the following:
The pll's are not in the working-directory of your forms-environment, if any.
The pll's are not in one of the directories defined in the env-setting FORMS_PATH.
You attached the pll's to your forms with the whole path (not preferable) and now forms doesn't find that path in your application-server-environment.
Library-names are Case-sensitive, so if you attach MYLIB, the filename must not be mylib.pll but MYLIB.pll.
hope this helps.

• Frm-40039 -- unable to attach library

Hi,
I used webutil.pll in my form and attached the webutil.olb in object group. It is going through in my machine[windows]. Then, I copied this form to unix server [using FTP] and did the following in solaris mc
[followed the steps as in webutil.pdf]
1. default.env -- > form90_path
forms_builder_classpath and classpath
2. formsweb.cfg file is changed
3. jar files are signed.
4. jacob.jar and frmwebutil.jar are placed in appropriate folders.
5. webutil.pll is compiled [webutil.plx]
Hope I have not missed out anything. But even then, When I run the url [Solaris based], while opening the form [it is being called from another form] which have that library, it is throwing Frm-40039 cannot attach library....error.
I browsed this otn site also. I don't know what I have missed.
Kindly help to sort out this issue please.

Hi,
May be you attached library with path in your form file. If didn't remove attachment library path when attaching time then forms run time will look on that path when you attached. Please edit the form and reattach the library with out path.

• After upgrading to FireFox 6 when attempting to print this error message appears ( Can not load library "LXDAPRP.DLL" using defalts Error:126 ) it takes a minimum of 12 ok button pushes to clear is there a fix or should I down grade to Firefox 5

I am using a Lexmark Z645 printer I also saw a similar issue when I upgraded my open office after down grading the open office the issue stopped until the upgrade to the latest version of firefox. This only happens when trying to print from an open Firefox tab

I have been having the same issue for the last two weeks. No real indication as to why it ever began other than I had turned off my router and Airport Extreme Base Station off for a weekend while I was away from my place.
iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, all have no issues at all with my Airport Extreme Base Station. Can stay connected throughout my living room, bathroom, bedroom, no issues whatsoever.
My 5 month old MacBook Pro 2.66 GHz Core i7 Airport is sometimes perfect, able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue. Then, for no reason, I won't be able to join my wireless network, or when I can join, I can't pick up an IP address. And then it will connect, pick up and IP, and then it won't browse. No real rhyme or reason to when this will happen, or when it works.
I thought that it was an issue with my MacBook Pro, but then my sister visited with her brand new MacBook Pro 2.26 Intel Core 2 Duo, and while a month ago she was able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue, this weekend she had all of the same issues I was having.
My XBOX 360 and MacBook Pro have absolutely no issues with the wired connection. Only my WAN seems to have this issue.
Did you ever find anything more to this?
