Error in CCMS monitoring Batch job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP.

Hi All,
I am using a Sanbox system for CCMS Monitoring activities. I assigned a method CCMS_ONAlert_Email under auto reaction to the MTE class ABAP shortdumps on node System errors. So the requirement is when an alert triggered i have to receive an alert email. I just found there is an error in Batch job created for Alert monitoring, please find the error details mentioned below. Please let me know how to solve this error

  • Package processing in CCM (AUTH_UPDATE batch-job)

    Hello all
    We're using CCM 2.0 with SP03. We send CatalogueUpdateNotification_in messages (in XML format) to our XI and route it 1:1 to our CCM system. There it is processed by an <b>async started AUTH_UPDATE batch-job</b>. This job finally processes our catalog items.
    As log as this batch-job runs the concerned catalog being updated is locked for other updates. And this is what causes us some head aches!
    We send XML messages containing up to 2000 catalog items. This makes the batch job run quite long (up to 1.5h). Now, when we have more than 2000 updates to send to our catalog, we split it up into packages with up to 2000 items each.
    Each package being sent from XI to CCM creates such a AUTH_UPDATE batch-job. The 1st starting is able to lock the catalog but this way of course also blocks processing of all other packages.
    Every single minute the next (waiting / blocked) package tries to lock the catalog itself before it can be processed. This ensures parallel update processings but the other way around it also causes to fall into a timeout after lets say ca. 30 retries.
    From XI point of view the timedout out package(s) sent to CCM were successfully processed... means: not restartable!
    In CCM I can't find a way trying to re-process such a timedout package.
    Re-generating the same package from the source system is not an option for us as well... it takes to much efforts.
    Is there a way to change the wait time between retrying to lock the catalog?
    OR
    Is there a way to ensure that only 1 AUTH_UPDATE batch-job is started at the same time?
    Thanks for some ideas to solve this.

  • Deadline monitoring batch jobs

    Hi batch jobs for deadline monitoring are getting hanged for few times. Sometimes it works fine.
    I am not getting why it is getting hang out for few times.
    If anybody faced this problem, pls share the possibilities.
    regards,
    Kedar

    Hi,
    Please check parameters of deadline monitoring especially parameter "Interval for call objects".If its very long in future then possible reason is system is trying to generate calls for this long period and it may that job is not completed with time parameters set by basis administrator.And this may resulting into termination of job.
    So try to limit this parameter and also no of maintenace plan if you have a very huge list.Also check with basis person if any such jobs terminated due to very long time they are running

  • Find errors logged from oracle batch job...

    Hi,
    I have a batch job that calls a procedure.. code is as under
    begin
      sys.dbms_job.submit(job => :job,
                          what => 'begin
                                       delete_stale_data;
                                        end;',
                          next_date => to_date('29-06-2006 05:33:28', 'dd-mm-yyyy h24:mi:ss'),
                          interval => 'sysdate+(30/1440)');
      commit;
    end;Now, how can i get to view the error messages if
    1) procedure runs into an exception and hence job is not executed
    2) if job runs into some problem due to which it is not completed..
    Thanks,
    JP

    "Viewing errors" is the wrong term to use - it assumes that there are devices like STDERR and STDOUT in Oracle that is written to when an error occurs.
    There are no such devices in Oracle. Oracle itself will record system related errors (and messages) to the alert log of the database instance. Custom PL/SQL code can also write to the alert log using an undocumented call - but it is a very poor idea as the alert log is for the DBA to deal with system errors. Not with someone's application errors.
    The correct method is to implement an application logging PL/SQL interface (package) that allows applications to log errors and warnings and messages (including debug stuff). The basic method of this API implementation is to create a log table and write messages (from applications) to this table using autonomous transactions. The API call can also record the system date/time, the current PL/SQL stack trace, client session details, etc.
    Using such an API, you would schedule the job as follows:
    Method 1:
    The job becomes broken after 16 repeated failures (the exception is re-raised in order for DBMS_JOB to deal with it).
    sys.dbms_job.submit(job => :job,
    what => 'begin
    delete_stale_data;
    exception when OTHERS then
    APPLOG.CriticalError( 'Error occured running DELETE_STALE_DATA', SQLCODE );
    raise;
    end;',
    next_date => to_date('29-06-2006 05:33:28', 'dd-mm-yyyy h24:mi:ss'),
    interval => 'sysdate+(30/1440)');
    Method 2:
    The job will never break. The exception is supressed and DBMS_JOB will not know that any errors occurred:
    sys.dbms_job.submit(job => :job,
    what => 'begin
    delete_stale_data;
    exception when OTHERS then
    APPLOG.CriticalError( 'Error occured running DELETE_STALE_DATA', SQLCODE );
    end;',
    next_date => to_date('29-06-2006 05:33:28', 'dd-mm-yyyy h24:mi:ss'),
    interval => 'sysdate+(30/1440)');

  • Why am getting this ME083 error in BATCH JOB, where as ONLINE not getting?

    Hi Experts,
    Am creating Purchse Requisation by using BAPI ---> BAPI_PR_CREATE.
    If I run ONLINE, Purchse Requisations are creating in EBAN table, with out any erorr messages, fine.
    If the same prog. is scheduled as BATCH JOB in production, the Purchse Requisations are creating, fine, but, there is a ERROR MESSAGE in JOB LOG, saying that " ENTER PLANT " of M essage ID& # is  "ME 083 "
    So, let me know that,
    1 - Why am not getting this error message, If I run it ONLINE?
    2 - Even though there r error message in JOB LOG (as I mentione din the above), Why the Purc. requisations are creating?
    3 - How to track that, from Where this error is coming in BATCH JOB, How to debug the BATCH JOB, after its scheduling?
    4 - How to fix it?

    It is not uncommon for informational/warning messages to appear when a BAPI is run in batch.
    Such messages do not prevent the completion of a job, but may provide information about the status of processing.
    When you run the job online the message may just flash briefly on the bottom of the screen, and you might not even notice it.
    I get similar messages when I run other BAPIs, where the message is logged but the process continues to run.
    To address the question of the message itself, if you look at the code underlying the BAPI, for example, include L2105I01, which contains the methods, you can see the place where the message is issued.
    The message is issued if field PR_TYPE in the header structure is initial.
    This is fairly easy to find just by examining the source behind the BAPI and the methods that it uses.
    You can navigate to include L2105I01 just by clicking on Method process in BAPI_PR_CREATE, just as you can with any other navigable object in ABAP.
    You should see this in BAPI_PR_CREATE around line 108.
    CALL METHOD l_ref_bapi->process( ).
    Double click on process.
    Method renumbering is then called by Method process if the actyp = hin (a constant meaning add/create which is set in BAPI_PR_CREATE), and if ITEM_INTVL (Item number interval) is not initial.
    Double click on Method renumbering.
    Method renumbering then checks if field PR_TYPE is initial, and if it is, then the message 083 that you are getting will be issued.  You will also see that the message is issued as a warning only, which is why the document is still created.
    You can drill down through the code by double clicking, as usual with navigation.
    I found this initially by clicking method set_header, which brought up the include with the method code.  I then searched for 083, which is the message id.  I then backtracked to find out what the path to Method renumbering was.
    Always do a little digging in the source, the message has to come from somewhere.  If the first search does not get a hit, try the next one until you exhaust the possibilities.  I chose set_header, since it appeared to be specific to the function of the BAPI, and something like that will usually be the best place to start.  In this case, it took me right to it.

  • CCMS job monitoring -- RZ20 job history node get duplicated record

    Hi,
    I configured CCMS/Solution Manager auto monitoring job failure. When a job failed on my satellite system, it created a alert and send notification to my CEN, which is my solution manager. Then solution manager send e-mail to a distribution group.
    This is working fine until last week. Now when a job failed, in job history node of RZ20 of my satellite system, the alerts are created mutiple times even the job actually only failed once. For some reasons, the history node of the alerts are updated every 5 minutes with the same job failure. More interestingly, after one hour, it did not create alerts any more. However, as the result I get many e-mails with the same job failure in this once hour, which I expect only one e-mail.
    Do you guys encounter the same problem? I am wondering something has been unintentionaly turned on so it's updating every 5 minutes. I want to turn it off. I looked at SM37 try to find if some batch jobs are doing this but did not find anything running on every 5 minutes.
    Any helpful answers will definitely be appreciated and reward point.
    Yujun Ran

    Hi Suhas,
    Once we had the same issue. But once we updated the current ccmsagent in both Solution manger and the satellite system the issue got resolved.

  • Display error message in batch job log

    Hello
    I have a batch job running and I have an error coming during some validation logic.
    The problem is I need to continue the batch job when this error message comes and it should not cancel the batch job as it is doing currently but display that error message in batch job log, there are more similar error messages coming in job log and job gets finished, but when my error message comes job gets cancelled.
    I cannot give it as info message as it will give wrong idea about message type.
    Is there any FM by which we can add message in job log?

    Sanjeev I have done that but problem is I do not want to give that as Information message but Error message only and continue processing.
    If you see in screenshot 3rd message is given by me as information and you can see error messages also 6th and 7th and job continued till it is finished
    Basically I want that 'I' to be displayed as 'E'.

    I have a customer running our web service interface to BODS. We have not been able to successfully start any jobs due to the following error:
    Services sent the request to start batch job 'Job_Test_Web_Services' on server 'null'. The Job Server refused the request with error: Job Server not found
    The same interface works against other environments (all XI 3.1), so I need some pointers as to where it gets the server name. Sounds to me like a configuration issue, but I am not a BO DS admin and don't know where to look.
    Please help.
    Thanks.

    I was able to reproduce this issue in our own lab by going to the BO DS Server Manager and removing the servers from the configuration. Not sure if this is what is happening at this customer site, but I will check it out and post back.
    Not sure why they would not have a Job Server defined if they want to run jobs!

  • Error in Batch Job - Urgent

    Hi,
    Iam getting a Error
    " Error returning from function G_SET_FETCH,returncode 3"
    in a particular batch job, when i tried to understand where it arised from i found its from a Standard SAP program LSHL2F05 and if the FM  'HELP_VALUES_GET_NO_DD_NAME'  Fails, This Error Occurs.
    How to correct this Error???
    Regards,
    Anita

    Hi All,
    Thank You very Much for your response.
    I checked GS02 Transaction which is used to maintain SET ID's. The User entered the wrong SET ID and that was the problem. Now , Its fine.
    Rich, Thanks for turning my attention to SET ID. I was not looking at it at all and was looking at the Job log error message rather.
    Thank you Everyone.
    Regards,

    Hi,
    We have set up CCMS Monitoring templates for PI monitoring. We have a business requirment to send communication channel errors to the IT team via CCMS
    We have configured ALERTCATEGORIES and defined alert rules.  The communication channel errors result in alerts. These alert categories are visible under the CCMS PI monitoring template.
    What is not getting transmitted is the alert long and short text in CCMS.

  • Batch Job Error Messages

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a program with rounddown quantities in deliveries notes. This program is run in background with all other programs. When we checked the batch job error log, we found out that when it gets to this Rounddown program, there are some SAP generated errors messages (examples are listed below).
    This issue is there is no way to know exactly which deliveries the error is generated from and if the program actually rounddown the quantities of all the deliveries passed to it and so on, because this error messages are not specific enough (like we can see below).
    This program passed this new rounddown quantity number from the internal table using a BAPI.
    Is there a way to change this SAP generated error messages to be specific enough like stating which actual delivery number is been affected or even stop at the error and send an email to the user to change the delivery or something in that manner, OR is there a way we can replace this SAP generated error messages with our own messages and send email out to the user.
