Error in crating the EJB in eclipse 3.4

Hi
I am using eclipse 3.4 and following the example given at
http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/community/tutorials/ejbtutorial/buildingejbs.html
some of the screen shots do not match with what is present in eclipse 3.4. I am getting the below error.
The content of element type "ejb-jar" is incomplete, it must match "(description?,display-name?,small-icon?,large-icon?,enterprise-beans,relationships?,assembly-descriptor?,ejb-client-jar?)".     ejb-jar.xml     ZooBeansProject/ejbModule/META-INF     line 3     XML Problem
please suggest what to do .
thanks
sankar

hi,
(http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/community/tutorials/ejbtutorial/buildingejbs.html)
Tutorial is very old i suppose....
You can get tutorial of ejb in your eclipse 3.4 ( java ee)only....
just go to help-> help contents...-> search EJB...
its very easy and you dont need any extra plugins....
Regards,
Sam

I think I've seen this before and I believe that it might the way Hibernate 3.2 loads classes. I seem to remember actually patching this myself using a fix someone made at one point and getting it to work, but that used to be documented on a dev2dev blog comment that is no longer around :(

Some Hibernate issues with ANTLR can be resolved if you can put all of the relevant classes in your web-inf/lib or app-inf/lib and use the appropriate deployment descriptors to "prefer" your classes.

com.sap.xi.repository reference is not required,, how are you deploying your module on PI server,
You must be using some external library for excel conversion, if external library is present in your deployed file, you don't need to add com.sap.xi.repository reference.
    Check:
Is EAR to SDA conversion needed for EJB EAR module
if you opt to use CECLT tool provided with NWDS 7.1, make sure you import SAP EAR File(it will have External library) on your local system.

  • Error while importing EJB model in Web dynpro: Unable to fetch the EJBs.

    Hi,
We are getting the below error while importing ejb model to Web dynpro.
    Error :
Unable to fetch the EJBs. Check if the selected Enterprise Application contain the EJBs.
I have created the public part-> It has a reference to EJB client and the enterprise application also has reference to the EJB project. The EJB is also added in dependency list.
But still we are getting this error. Could anyone please explain what can i do to solve this issue.
    Best Regards,
    Karthika

    Hi Vishweshwara,
    Thanks for your reply.
Please find the steps i followed while importing EJB model in webdynpro.
    1. The Entity forwarding permission has been enabled.
    2. public part reference has been created and through the reference entity option the ejbDC->Client public part is selected.
I followed all the steps mentioned in the document. But still i am getting that error. In EJB DC we have list of JPA entities and stateless session beans are exposed as a webservice(top-down manner). The enterprise application has a reference to the EJB DC.
I could be able to invoke the ejb service beans from ejb explorer and Webservice navigator.
I am able to insert, delete and modify the records from there.
Please let me know what could i do to resolve this error?

  • Error targeting server for the EJB module while deploying the sample banking application

I am currently having a very difficult time attempting to deploy the
example banking application that I downloaded from the BEA website. I
have followed all of the steps in the "Hands On: Deploying the Sample
Banking Application" document, and I do fine until I get to the next to
last step. When I attempt to target the server for the EJB module, the
deployment process generates the error that I have included at the end
    of this message.
I can get to the login.html page under "http://localhost:7001/banking/",
but after that I can't go further.
Any suggestions. BTW, in case you haven't figured it out, I'm brand new

Do you have javac installed and in the path?

    Hi,
I have written a trivial application consisting of 4 stateless beans and 1 MDB. The ear is developed from some code generator tool and works fine if I directly deploy on weblogic server 812.
But in order to learn Weblogic Workshop I created new Application and EJB project. Then I imported the EJB jar and provided other source files.
From Weblogic Workshop I could generate the ear successfully. But while trying to deploy the ear I get the following exception :

Hello all, we are thinking about migrating from JBoss to WebLogic server, so as a proof of concept I am trying to migrate a JBoss Seam web application to WebLogic server.
I have followed all the instructions here: http://docs.jboss.org/seam/2.0.2.SP1/reference/en-US/html/weblogic.html and I have set up ebvryhting that is needed in order to start the server (JMS queues, datasources, etc) but when the server starts and tries to load the web application I got the following error message

I have tried to compile everythign from scratch by using weblogic.appc but I am getting the same error: No EJBs found in the ejb-jar file 'ejbModule'. Please ensure the ejb-jar contains EJB declarations via an ejb-jar.xml deployment descriptor or at least one class annotated with the @Stateless, @Stateful or @MessageDriven EJB annotation.
Any ideas what is going on and how I can resolve the issue?

    Hi John,
I am working on development an enterprise application using EJB 3.0 on Weblogic 10.
While developing, I am keeping all my classes (from ejb's as well as web) into APP-INF/classes directory. It is working fine for Web and ejb 2.0 packages, but ejb 3.0 packages, I get the following error when I keep my ejb 3.0 beans classes in APP-INF/classes directory.
No EJBs found in the ejb-jar file 'customer'. Please ensure the ejb-jar contains EJB declarations via an ejb-jar.xml deployment descriptor or at least one class annotated with the @Stateless, @Stateful or @MessageDriven EJB annotation.
One solution is to keep the classes under customer ejb directory, but I wan tto keep all the classes in APP-INF/classes directory so that when using Eclipse IDE I can output all compiled sources into APP-INF/classes directory.
Has anyone faced this situation? Any suggestions to fix this issue?
