Error in extracting String value from MS ACCESS via JDBC

Something wierd occurs in my program. I have a ACCESS database table named FormDetail. The attributes are:
name memo
val memo
The actual data store in such a table is
haihe 2
String test="SELECT name, val FROM FormDetail";
rs = stmt.executeQuery(test);
while(rs.next())
{ String name = rs.getString("name");
String value = rs.getString("val");
System.out.println("name: "+name+" value: "+value);
When I execute the code, the output is
name: haihe value:
NO VALUE print out. Why?
Any suggestion will be helpful! Thanks!

Though not using Access myself in the moment, I remember a lot of post about its memo fields.

I look at the transaction ST22 to see which type of error has given you. Take a look at the notes to correct the error.
Another option is to look at OSS notes, because the error is giving you a standard extractor.

How to retrieve query string value from the URL in my portlet

When user clicks on "Advance Search", i am redirecting to page in the community. At the same i am adding some more values to the query string (to the URL).
My URL will look like this.
http://ctp-mc0149/portal/server.pt?space=CommunityPage&parentname=CommunityPage&parentid=0&in_hi_userid=200&cached=true&control=SetCommunity&PageID=202&CommunityID=200&searchType=2
Now in one of my portlet in that page, i want to retrieve the query string values from the URL.

Using WQL "one-liner" to extract a value from the registry

Can I extract a value from the registry using a "one-liner" WQL command? Something like the following:
Under root\default:StdRegProv
SELECT <Data> FROM "HKLM:SOFTWARE\Toto\Version"
Please note that I am aware of how this is done via script. The problem is that I'm using a management system (SCOM), which only allows me to supply a simple WQL query to perform my evaluation.

Get string value from enumerated value on AE user interface

Hello.
I'm trying to get the string value from a enumerated value on a layer's property.
When I get the value via script, I have 1D value. However, I need the string value.
In this example, the value I would get is 1. Is there any way I can get "Horizontal and Vertical".
I'm looking for a generic way (any property value defined this way), not for this case only.

Retrieving data from Microsoft Access using JDBC

I noticed that when i tried retrieving data from Microsoft access using JDBC, I realised that it was throwing SQLException when the column names were two word with spaces between them, e.g. Date Birth. But after i removed the space from the column names, my SQL queries were retrieving data. Was it because of the space in between the column names of the table?

Yeah, as far as I know having two word column names isn't allowed in SQL. There might be some way to escape it, but generally it's sensible to avoid it.

10G Forms connect to MS Access via JDBC

A new project requires a 10G Form to connect to MS Access database. I understand 10G no longer connects to Access using ODBC. Will JDBC work? If JDBC can be used does anyone have a "How To" document or examples on how to connect orms 10G to MS Access via JDBC

I dont think it will work. In 10g forms is going to implement transparent gateways.
Is there a possibility of getting the data from MS access directly to Oracle database and then connect to Oracle DB from forms ?

You NEVER want to use REGEXP_REPLACE when looking to query fields with numbers only because you are actually changing the data by removing or replacing with something that was not originally in the dataset. Use REGEXP_LIKE - SEE BELOW.
SELECT <FieldNames>
WHERE REGEXP_LIKE(<FieldName>, '^[[:digit:]]+$')
--This will only return fields that contain NUMBERS ONLY.

We have got a null point exception during commit call. According to the stack trace shown below, it seems that it is a problem due to instance variable accessor. In the above code im geeting project D which is an integer value. But not able to get the project name.

As I said in the other thread, this really isn't the place to ask questions about a database API unrelated to the Illustrator SDK. You're far more like to find people familliar with your problem on a forum that is dedicated to answering those kinds of questions instead.

Copying string value from the main file to a thread!

i.e. I have a string like this in the main file:
private static String a = new String("1");
and the value from "a" shuld be copied so that a variable "a" in thread.java gets the same value!
how to do this?

1) If main has access to a in thread, have main copy it over.
2) Add a getA() function to main and have thread use that.
3) Design the program better from the ground up.
