Error in Oracle 9iAS R2 froms server
hi,
am using oracle forms server 9i that comes with the 9ias r2 and i have installed the headstart on it and we are using the headstart for our application.
after running any form on the web using the headstart forms server configuration files i have this error in the web browser
FRM-92050 followed by FRM-92101
and on the jinitialtor console i have this message
oracle.forms.net.ConnectionException: Forms session <74> failed during startup: no response from runtime process

running any form without referring to the headstart configurations works correctly
Thanks for support
Ibrahim Sawalh
Ibrahim,
From your information, it's difficult to say what is the cause. Basically, it must be a configuration issue with 9iAS. Although Headstart uses other configuration files, it does not add any components to 9iAS and should therefore work properly if other application work well. To give some more insight on this problem, please look on Metalink for Note 189867.1. It has a wealth of info for solving these problems. Another approach would be to carefully compare your configuration files for the 'normal' application and the 'headstart' application to see what is different. You should look for the forms90.conf, oc4j.properties, oc4j_bi_forms.properties and your (hsd)formsweb.cfg
I hope this helps,

Error while reading a file from server
Mine is 9i database and 11.5.10.2 oracle apps server
I am trying to read PDF file from server, I used the below code
l_bfile:=bfilename('\u05\app\applmgr\11i\oraclecomn\admin\out\jamuna_server','o7742576.out');
if DBMS_LOB.FILEEXISTS(l_bfile) = 1 then
dbms_output.put_line( 'Exists!');
dbms_output.put_line(dbms_lob.getlength(l_bfile));
else
dbms_output.put_line( 'Not Exists!');
end if;
i used forward slashes (/) instead of backward slashes (\) too and i also made dbms_output.put_line(to_char(dbms_lob.getlength(l_bfile)));
while using dbms_log package , i got the below error .I am bit worried since I have created directory and gave sufficicent priviliges too.
Error report:
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-01460: unimplemented or unreasonable conversion requested
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_LOB", line 485
ORA-06512: at line 24
I am sure bfilename('\u05\app\applmgr\11i\oraclecomn\admin\out\jamuna_server','o7742576.out') is give BFILE which is empty.
Can you please suggest me what I can do to move further? what kind of priviliges it requires to point and read the file from server?
Please help me in this.
Thanks in advanceI suspect you are not using a directory object is the problem.
Here is the formal description of bfilename

Bouncing Oracle Database Creating Broken Pipe Error On Oracle 9iAS 9.0.3
We published and deployed PL/SQL web services using JDeveloper 9.0.3 wizard on Oracle 9iAS 9.0.3. We bounced the database nightly, in turn, closes the application server connection between 9iAS and the database. This causes the broken pipe error. Bouncing the 9iAS is not an option for us.
Is this an Oracle 9iAS bug? Is there a workaround to this problem without bouncing the application server?
Please help.
TomI have discovered a strange thing. I created a new OC4J instance which I called it: Intelap
When I deploy to the recently created instance Intelap, jdeveloper success. But when I set OC4J_home in the optional instance field, I got the previous error.

We are getting below error while running the oaf page from our instance. we have executed the query behind the page and it took around 40 seconds to execute. but oaf page is getting errored out with below error message after taking long time.
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Please help me..
Thanks
RaghavaIs it 9i Jdeveloper or 10G. Also check the Jdeveloper is being run on a compatible database. A Jdeveloper for 11i should run on an instance having 11i installed and same for R12. Also check the version of OA Frameworrk in the Jdeveloper you are using and the version deployed in instance.

Rocío.Hi Rocio,
Check the proxy settings in NWDS and use JAVA RUNTIME 1.5.0_06-b05.
Please refer to the links below where similar problems have been resolved:
Cannot deploy par from NWDS
Can not download SOAP CLIENT TOOL
Another way of deploying the .par file is from System Administration -> Support -> Portal Runtime -> Administration Console.
Hope this resolves your issue.

Hi,
I am using Javascript serializer to send server side code to javascript.
This works in IE 9, Mozilla, chrome. But fails with error in Safari as "request failed. unexpected response from server. the status code of response is '0' . status text of the response is ". null
My code is as below:
<asp:UpdatePanel ID="panLayout" runat="server">
<ContentTemplate>
<div id="divloadingImage" >
<br />
<asp:Image ID="imgLoading" runat="server" ImageUrl="/images/rotate.gif" ImageAlign="Middle" />
<br />
</div>
<div id="banner-fade" >
<ul id="carousel" class="bjqs">
</ul>
</div>
<asp:Timer ID="timerRSS" Interval="1" runat="server" ontick="timerRSS_Tick"></asp:Timer>
</ContentTemplate>
</asp:UpdatePanel>
In CS:
protected void timerRSS_Tick(object sender, EventArgs e)
DisplayImages();
divloadingImage.Visible = false;
bannerfade.Visible = true;
timerRSS.Enabled = false;
private void DisplayImages()
List<SharePointListItem> allImages = GetallImages();
JavaScriptSerializer serializer = new JavaScriptSerializer();
string json = serializer.Serialize(allImages);
string script = string.Format("<script type=\"text/javascript\">var allSliderImages={0}</script>", json);
if (!this.Page.ClientScript.IsClientScriptBlockRegistered("clientScripts"))
ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock(panLayout, panLayout.GetType(), "clientScripts", script, false);
string scriptRegister = string.Format("<script type=\"text/javascript\">FetchData();</script>");
ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock(panLayout, panLayout.GetType(), "clientScriptData", scriptRegister, false);
In Javascript:
function FetchData() {
if (typeof allSliderImages !== "undefined") {
for (var i = 0; i < allSliderImages.length; i++) {
Imagesuccess(allSliderImages[i].fileleafref, allSliderImages[i].filedirref, allSliderImages[i].caption1);
var rota = $("#bannerfade");
rota.css("display", "block");
function Imagesuccess(fileLeaf, fileDir, UserCaption1) {
var ul = $('#bannerfade > ul');
var li;
var filename = fileLeaf;
var dir = fileDir;
var caption1 = UserCaption1;
var sfils = filename;
filename = dir + '/' + filename;
var imageCaptionData;
if (caption1 != null && caption1 != "") {
imageCaptionData = '<div class="HeadlineDiv">' + caption1 + '</div>';
li = $('<li>' + imageCaptionData + '<div class="SubHeadline" style="color:white;">' + '<br/></div>' + '<img src="' + filename + '"/>' + '</li>');
ul.append(li);
$('#bannerfade').bjqs({
height: 354,
width: 970,
responsive: true
Below is the data I get:
<script type="text/javascript">
var allSliderImages=[{"id":"1","Title":"Scenic","caption1":"scenic","fileleafref":"02.jpg","filedirref":"/s/Test/Library"},
{"id":"2","Title":"nature","caption1":"scenic2","fileleafref":"C034.jpg","filedirref":"/s/Test/Library"},
{"id":"3","Title":"Tiff","caption1":"Tiff","fileleafref":"test_tiff.tif","filedirref":"/s/Test/Library"}]</script>
The data is shown in all browsers except Safari. How to fix this?
Update: I have checked this link: http://sharepoint.sureshc.com/2013/07/unexpected-response-data-from-server-in.html
but that did not help.
ThanksHi,
From
this documentation, though SharePoint 2013 supports several commonly used web browsers including Apple Safari (latest released version), it is not guarantee
that SharePoint 2013 can run perfectly on all these browsers, “certain web browsers could cause some SharePoint 2013 functionality to be downgraded, limited, or available only through alternative steps”.
According to the code provided, it seems more relate to ASP.NET, therefore, a suggestion is that you can open a thread in ASP.NET forum, communities there will be more familiar
with this issue:
http://forums.asp.net/

Errors calling oracle web service from pl/sql
Oracle application server version 10.1.2.2.0
Jdeveloper version 10.1.2.1.0
I have published a function of an oracle database package as a web service using jdeveloper by creating a connection to my database and right clicking on the package and selecting publish as a web service. I accepted all the defaults and deployed the web service to my application server also using jdeveloper. I have been able to invoke the web service from the url which was generated.
I now want to invoke this web service from another pl/sql procedure in the same database as the function I've published as a web service using the utl_dbws facility but get the following error

Error when calling a report from Server?
We have a .NET application on the server and we want to call a crystal report (.rpt) from one of the forms (.NET aspx page). We are getting below error. The report works fine on the desktop where it is developed. Please let us know if there is any specific process to move the reports to server. Any help is appreciated.
The report is developed in Crystal Reports 2008 and we are using Visual Studio 2005. We are using Crystal Report Viewer control to call / associate the report developed.
Error message,
An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime. Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient, or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly. Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required. Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.

Edited by: Sridhar Thodupunoori on Dec 4, 2008 4:13 PMHi,
It seems that you are having issue with Crystal reports .Net SDK's.
Post your question in Crystal Reports .NET SDK forum.
That forum is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there. Also, all .NET SDK queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.
Thank you for your understanding,

Error 0x80070057 when importing VM from Server 2008R2 to Server 2012 R2
Hello. I am using SCVMM 2012 to export a Windows 7 desktop from a 2008R2 HyperV server, to a 2012R2 HyperV server. The job fails at step 1.5 (Import Hyper-V virtual machine) in the SCVMM log. The error message is:
Error (2901)
The operation did not complete successfully because of a parameter or call sequence that is not valid. the parameter is incorrect (0x80070057)
Recommended Action
Ensure that the parameters are valid, and then try the operation again.
I've found the KB968968 regarding "ScopeOfResidence" and that isn't the problem here. the EXP file that is created on my target server has no data between the [VALUE][/VALUE] tags for this element.
When I try to manually import from the target server using HyperV manager rather than SCVMM, I browse to the folder where the VHD and subfolders containing the EXP file are located and I get "Hyper-V did not find virtual machines to import from location
"G:\my\path\to\this\VHD" " Same thing when I browse to any subordinate folder such as the Virtual Machines folder or the GUID folder underneath that.Hello Connor,
Please advise if you followed below best practices?
If you are upgrading from Hyper-V 2008/R2 to Hyper-V 2012 R2.
The first option is to Shut down all Hyper-V virtual machines on the WS2008R2 host, then stop the Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management service. Finally copy all virtual machines that you want to migrate to WS2012R2 Hyper-V host, and then Import the Virtual
Machines.
The second option is, if you already exported the VMs and you don’t have 2008R2 Hyper-V host anymore.
The exported Hyper-V virtual machines from 2008 R2 host copy them into Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V and import them, then simple copy the VMs to Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V and import them. The server with Hyper-V 2012 is only used to perform the import
process thus allowing the VM to be copied into Hyper-V 2012 R2.
The reason why is the following:
In Windows Server 2012 Microsoft introduced a new WMI namespace (root\virtualization\v2) which is much better import/export model – allowing you to effectively just copy the virtual machine folder (with the VM’s XML configuration file inside it) as well
as the VM’s VHDs and then import them directly. Microsoft maintained version 1 WMI namespace in Windows 2012 which is allowed for importing Windows Server 2008/R2 VM’s on 2012.
In Windows Server 2012 R2 Microsoft removed the old version 1 namespace which means we can’t import directly virtual machines that were exported from Windows Server 2008/R2.
Hope this help.

Error Calling Oracle Stored Procedure From Within Report
Hi,
I have a report that calls an oracle stored procedure which returns a ref cursor. The report is working ok in our development environment when called from our development website through .NET.
When the report is moved and accessed from our UAT website we get the following error :-
Failed to open a rowset. Details: ADO Error Code: 0x Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle Description: One or more errors occurred during processing of command. Failed to open a rowset. Details: ADO Error Code: 0x Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle Description: ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'RHS_GET_CAND_SECTION_REFS' ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PL/SQL: Statement ignored Native Error: Failed to open a rowset. Error in File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\temp_d663a952-bef6-4bf7-bf1a-5e288afdb612 {9B6DFB38-A436-4940-9D80-B4C23DFFFF19}.rpt: Failed to open a rowset.
If we open the report manually we are prompted to enter database connection info. If we enter the UAT connection details the report runs ok. If we save the report and try to open it from UAT website through .NET it now opens ok.
If we then move that same report back to the development environment and open from our development website it fails with the same error above.
Both connections are using Microsoft OLE DB drivers and the Oracle databases are the same version (10.2.0.1.0).
Is the connection information being stored in actual report and somehow being used when the report is opened through .NET?
Any help appreciated

Odd error when 6i report run from server but not from pc
Getting error:
REP-0065: Virtual Memory System error. REP-0200: Cannot allocate enough memory. cavaa 22
running a report from the web server via URL / cgicmd.dat file
report runs fine from developer tool, naturally
both windows boxes, server & pc
report has single ref cursor query from pacakged procedure returning 4 column record type, all defined in same package
order of columns all appear to be the same, datatypes too
ideas?Another developer created a new function that my ref cursor query used.
It had an error, thereby causing the ref cursor to fail.... the report failed.
I think more error handlers are necessary. -

Everything looks ok in struts-config.xml. Could anybody help me?Hi,
I built a Struts app with Jdeveloper (win 2000) and deploy it (using a ear file) first on Oracle 9ias (win 2000) and on oracle 9ias (LINUX).
When I submit my first form, I've got this error under oracle 9ias(LINUX):
