Error in parallel exp-imp using ftp method

Hi,
We are doing migration of ERP system running on redhat linux 6 and sybase 15.7 .
Trying to do parallel export import using ftp method.
Here when we start the export monitor, it gives the below error.
Required system resources are missing or not available:
Structure of subdirectories in local export directory '/export/TRS_Mock_Export/ABAP' and FTP export directory '/usr/sap/TRQ/DVEBMGS00/TRS_Mock_Export/ABAP' on '<ip>' server is different.
But the structure is entirely same.
Even we have moved the export directory which got created after sapinst was run (before starting migmon) to the target server.

ftp is working.
in the properties file for ftp user earlier gave a different user.
Now gave sidadm and this error is resolved.
Now facing a different issue.
In the properties file we gave 'server' in the beginning . This is only starting R3load processes but ftp transfer does not start.
Then gave 'ftp' below 'server' but got the below error.

Datapump exp and imp using API method

Good Day All,
I want to know what is the best way of error handling of datapump export and Import using API. I need to implement in my current project as there lot of limitations and the only way to see the process worked is writing the code with error handling method using exceptions. I have seen some examples on the web but if there are practicle examples or good links with examples that will work sure way, I would like to know and explore. I have never used API method so I am not sure of it.

I wrote the procedure with error handling but it does not out put any information of the statuses while kicking off the expdp process. I have put dbms_output.put_line as per oracle docs example but it doesnt display any messages, just kicks off and created dumpfiles. As a happy path its ok but I need to track if something goes wrong. I even stated set serveroutput on sqlplus. It doesnt even display if job started. Please help me where I made a mistake to display the status . Do I need to modify or add anything. Help!!

Error while delibvering a report using FTP

I am trying to publish my report on a shared folder by using FTP server delivery. When the schedule gets run I can see following error displayed in the Publisher:

Can you manually, as in command line, connect to the ftp site? Is it ftp or sftp? Single or double authentication?

Error in Rcvr File Adapter using FTP ?

I am getting the follwoing error while trying to put file in the folder thru Rcvr File Adapter using FTP and it is giving me following error :
java.io.FileNotFoundException :(Permission Denied )
I have verified the permissions on the folder and it is having write permissions.
Please suggest Its urgent.

1. check whether the access to FTP is Authenticated, if so provide the username and password
2. try giving different file name at the receiver end
3. try normal ftp commands to access the folder

I am able to ping the FTP host ip and access the FTP. In the BIP Admin--> Delivery ---> FTP
I have given my FTP Server name , HOST , and the Port
Can anybody help me in solving this error? Its a high priority requirement from the Client side.

Exp/imp using xml files in oracle 9i

I need to export tables data (only) from oracle 9i DB into xml files, and the import the xml file into another oracle 9i DB.
I can't use any other format then XML.
can you tell me what is the best way for doing that?

If the source and the target DB of the operation are both Oracle 9i, you should use export/import. This is an one-stop operation.
Otherwise you would need to build your own tools, using XMLQuery in Oracle 9i, which is a waste of time and resources.

Cud u plz tell what is the command to perform it ?
Also Cud anyone plz tell me whether same user(SAMPLE) in Test environment gets dropped before Import done.
Can i Perform the exp/imp using sys/system or user SAMPLE?

EXP & IMP only restores to same tablespace(s)

I created new user with new tablespace and import dmp to new user
but the import utility imported same tablepspace (increase old datafile size).
even I dropped new user but the old tablespace (datafile) size not reduced?

Normal behavior.
Using conventional exp/imp the correct method to 'relocate' an user is
- make sure the target user doesn't have unlimited tablespace privilege by revoking it
- make sure the user doesn't have quota on the old tablespace and does have quota on the new tablespace
alter user <target user> default tablespace <new tablespace> quota unlimited on <new tablespace> quota 0 on <old tablespace>
- Now import with indexes=n
- run a second import using the parameter indexfile=<any filename>
- Edit the resulting file, changing all tablespaces
- now run the file in sqlplus
- this should be it
Using expdp and impdp, remap_tablespaces on impdp is sufficient

Does anyone have experience in using exp and imp utility on 11i apps database? Is there any special method to achieve this.
I want to do a full export and do an import.
Do we get any performance benefits if we do this?

Do we get any performance benefits if we do this?It depends many segment but finaly u will make one process on server and it has cost,answer you can have some performance issue while you are taking exp-imp

it perfectly working with sequence file uploading in single connection..
And i tried to upload multiple files with parallel processing in a single connection.... but it is not working properly.. i also used thread concept
but single file only transfered and connection refused...

Getting an error while copying pdf file into RMS enabled document library using copyTo() method

In SharePoint 2010, I am trying to copy pdf file programmatically from a non-RMS protected document library into RMS protected library using copyTo() method.
But I am getting an error while doing so. it gives error as mentioned below -
This library does not accept files of the given type. You must either upload a
new, unprotected file that supports rights management or re-upload a document
that was previously downloaded from this library.
Please suggest some solution.

Are You sure that you have give 'PDF' in caps in your program? and check whether you are getting all the datas before calling the method.

Error while uploading the data Using LSMW - Idoc method

Hi Experts,
I am working on LSMW using Idoc method. Till 12th step (Display converted data) i wasn't got any problem. For the Idoc method, I have to specify details to Idoc inbound processing from the menu settings.
In that screen I have to specify file port, partner type and partner no. I have created a file port ZFILE. Can u tell me what ahould I pass in that screen? Where should be the file i.e in the application server or presentation server? What should be the directory and function module. Can u provide step by step?
After that I have to specify partn.type. What should I select for that?
After that I have to specify partner no. Whether it is inbound or outbound?
I got No data found for the following detials.
port - ZFILE
in the inbound file tab, e:\ as physical directory; EDI_PATH_CREATE_USERNAME as function module.
Partner type - US
Parnter no. - LSMW with the inbound parameters message type - MATMAS and Process code - MATM.
Please tell me how can I upload properly? Please don't ignore as i am asking same question again becasue I have gone through related threads also. But i didn't find the exact requirement.

How to resolve error while importing data using IDoc method in LSMW ?

I am trying to import my data using IDoc method in LSMW.
But after completing the whole LSMW process, when I look into the IDOC generated, the error description is as this.
It talks about the process code and other stuff.
Function module not allowed : APPL_IDOC_INPUTI
Message No. B1252
Diagnosis :
The function module APPL_IDOC_INPUTI and the application object type which were determined are not valid for this IDoc.
I am not able to resolve the problem.

Man, you should be able to find this out your self by now!
Hint: there is one 's' too much in the line you get the error (i guess cut & past error)
Try to understand the code you copied!
