Error in PI mapping "nested exception is: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError "
Hi Experts ,
I encounter an error in the PI mapping while calling a Java Mapping (Mercator Map)
Error Message as ::-
java.lang.RuntimeException: RemoteException in setMercGeneral: Error occurred in server thread; nested exception is: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError at com.philips.xi.mercator.MercatorCall.execute(MercatorCall.java:90) at
Could anyone suggest , how we can overcome this error message
I have also tried to restart the RMI Server , but that was not not helpful.
Regards,
Shweta
Sweta,
Is this a java mapping or Graphical, If Java, you should not run into this issue as you dont load the nested XSD`s.
Also the error message indicates outofMemory in mercator side when posting your Large message.
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError at com.philips.xi.mercator.MercatorCall.execute(MercatorCall.java:90) at

I have a project that I am porting from WL5.1 to WL6. It was working fine
in WL5.1
but cannot get it working in WL6. So, I went back to the HelloWorld
example to
see if I could get it working. The problem I am having is basically getting
applet to
talk to a server via RMI. The applet works fine alone and RMI works fine
alone.
I can't get the applet to talk to the server via RMI.
I am trying to get the "HelloWorld" applet example in WL6 working with RMI.
I previously had the same app working in WL5.1 with SP9 but cannot get it
working in WL6.
I am running WebLogic Server 6.0 with SP2.
I have registered a startup class in the WebLogic console
named "HelloServer". When starting up the server, it states
that the HelloImpl class has been registered as "HelloServer".
When starting up the client applet I get the following error:
java.rmi.MarshalException: Error marshaling transport header; nested
exception is:
java.io.EOFException
These are two different methods of looking up the same object.
The exception occurs at the "lookup" method call in both cases.
"myserver" is the name of my machine that WL is running on.
7001 is the port that WL is using.
Registry reg = LocateRegistry.getRegistry("myserver", 7001);
obj = (Hello)reg.lookup("HelloServer");
or...
obj = (Hello)weblogic.rmi.Naming.lookup("rmi://" +
getCodeBase().getHost() + ':' + port + "/HelloServer");
I previously ran this same program under WL5.1 SP9 and everything works
fine.
I defined the startupClass in the weblogic.properties file in WL5.1
Can anyone tell my what is causing this exception and how to correct the
problem?
Thanks

Service call exception; nested exception is: java.lang.IllegalMonitorStateE
Hi All,
when we try to run the Message Monitoring in our RWB then we get the following error:
Service call exception; nested exception is: java.lang.IllegalMonitorStateException
Has anybody of you an idea what this error occurs?
Thank you for the support..
Kind Regards
Markushi,
restarting the java stack would be enough. You can do that at SMICM. Before you should deregister all queues in SMQR so that incoming messages has to wait in the queue. Of coz all synchronous msgs would fail, as well messages going to your Java Inbound Adapters.
note:reward points if solution found helpfull.....

Unmarshalling return; nested exception is: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException
I think what I'm trying to achieve is probably very simple (or at least should be) but I've been trying for at least 5 hrs now:
I'm using RMI for a distributed app I'm building for my degree.
Up until today I got around the need for using a SecurityManager by including all shared classes (those I pass between client and server) in a class library .jar file referenced by both client and server projects.
This has worked fine, but now I've coded a method that returns an object of a class that I do NOT want to include in the shared library (because I don't want the client to be able to construct these objects); therefore, I've decided to try and get the dynamic class loading working.
I'm using netbeans and testing on a single computer.
Here's what I'm trying:
My main() method has the standard code I've seen: if (System.getSecurityManager() == null) System.setSecurityManager(new RMISecurityManager());
In the server project's Run properties, I'm specifying VM Options: -Djava.security.policy=c:\security.policy -Djava.rmi.server.codebase="file://C:/"
I've copied the ellusive class's .java file into C:\ to keep the URL simple, but I've also tried directing it to the netbean project's bin\ folder using '%20' for spaces, both with the same results - about a five second pause (so it's finding something I think) and then the error message from the client's output:
error unmarshalling return; nested exception is: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: mypackage.myClass
My policy file's contents are:
grant {
permission java.security.AllPermission;
I've tried about 20 different ways of formatting the codebase argument's URL.. can anyone help?
David
p.s. my OS is Windows 7Thanks EJP,
Yes, after posting I guessed it might want the .class file instead, so I directed it their instead - still no joy, unfortunately!
I'm carrying out all testing on one computer, so (+if+ I could get it to work) a local codebase address would not be a problem.
Noted about the server-side security manager. I might want to use callbacks, but the server still won't need to download class files from the client, so I'll still try and set the codebase, but will try without loading a security manager on the server-side.
For the time being I've put the class in the shared library but have defined it within the same package as the server code. By doing this I've been able to set the class's accessibility back to default, but the client can still access it as Object (from the shared library).
This solution is good enough, but I still wonder why the client refuses to accept the class file from the C:\ codebase. -

invoked normally.
Thanks in advance for ur help.

RMI - Unmarshell Exception - Nested Exception is java.io.EOFException
Hi,
I get the following error while executing my RMI client.
The fact is that i dont get this everytime. When i make nearly 4000 RMI method calls then for the further method calls i get the exception as given below..
*java.rmi.UnmarshalException: Error unmarshaling return header; nested exception is:*
* java.io.EOFException*My RMI Client Implementation is like this.
- Create a static object of RMI Client
m_objRmiServiceProxy = (IExposedInterface) Naming.lookup(ConnectionURL);And use the same object for all my further rmi server calls....
can anyone tell me when we will get the above exception?
What can be the possible cause for it ?
Thanks...If you find an answer elsewhere please let me know, your problem seems to be very much akin to what my program is experiencing. Just one question, is your program affected by the error if you call the one remoteserver method consecutive times or if you call multiple methods in parallel?

Error "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError" When Returning Large Number of Docs
In our SES implementation, we have a custom search interface that allows users to search for documents and then add them to a "shopping cart". Users add then to their shopping cart from search results, by adding docs one-by-one or an Add All option. Once they are done "shopping" they create a report.
Here is the scenario...
Users are saerching for documents and seeing that on page 1, there is 1 - 10 of about 300 results. They clicked Add All and want all 300 docs added to their cart.
What we do under the covers is we execute another search and set the docs requested to 200. We get the array of docs, iterate over them and add the keys to a list. We found 200 docs at a time to be a safe number. However, there are still 100 docs that were not added to their cart and users want all 300 added. In other words, when they click Add All, they want to add all docs, 300, 500, 5000, etc.
I set the "Maximum Number of Results" to 500 and found that I can safely add up to ~ 350 docs at one time. However, going past this point throws the following error:
[SOAPException: faultCode=SOAP-ENV:Server; msg= [java.lang.OutOfMemoryError]]
at oracle.search.query.webservice.client.OracleSearchService.makeSOAPCallRPC(OracleSearchService.java:941)
at oracle.search.query.webservice.client.OracleSearchService.doOracleSearch(OracleSearchService.java:469)
After this error is thrown, SES was unable to recover and searching would not work anymore, even return 10 docs at a time. We had to restart SES to resolve the issue.
1. What is throwing this error? Is it the amount of XML being returned?
2. What is the maximum number of results we can get back at any one time? Is it based on the amount of data being returned or the number of attributes?
We are running 10.1.8 with plans to upgrade soon.
Thanks in advance.I know it may be hard to throw away all this code, but consider using the jakarta fileupload component.
I think it would simplify your code down to
// Create a factory for disk-based file items
FileItemFactory factory = new DiskFileItemFactory();
// Create a new file upload handler
ServletFileUpload upload = new ServletFileUpload(factory);
// Parse the request
List /* FileItem */ items = upload.parseRequest(request);
// Process the uploaded items
Iterator iter = items.iterator();
while (iter.hasNext()) {
FileItem item = (FileItem) iter.next();
if (item.isFormField()) {
processFormField(item);
} else {
// item is a file. write it
File saveFolder = application.getRealPath("/file");
File uploadedFile = new File(saveFolder, item.getName());
item.write(uploadedFile);
}Most of this code was hijacked from http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/fileupload/using.html
Check it out. It will solve your memory problem by writing the file to disk temporarily if necessary.

CFML gateway : java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
I though that CFML gateways were designed for long running
tasks, but my tests tends to show the opposite :
whatever I do, it always crash with a
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
I made a mass emailing gateway, following the CDFJ article (
june 2005,
volume 7, issue 6 : the asynchronous CFML gateway)
that is to say :
- a classic cfm page that defines the needed struct
(arguments for the gateway cfc) then a call to the gateway.
- the gateway cfc is very basic : it makes a query to
retrieve email adresses from a database then loop over the query
and for each adress send an email.
I use cfoutput query + a cfmail for each email because i need
to make a bit of other things in the loop (every 100 email sent i
made another "update" query to keep an information of what email
were sent.
I have about 150,000 emails to send but plan to send more
(1,000,000. I'm not a spammer, all adresses are opted-in).
The first time it crashed around 25,000 emails.
I tried to maximize the JVM settings (maxperm, maxheap, ...
to 512MB then 1024MB), it then crashed around 55,000, but whatever
I do it still crashs before the end of the task. The server is a
dual xeon 3.0 ghz with 2 GB of RAM and is running Coldfusion 7.0.1
(updater 2) on windows 2003 std.
I also replace the cfmal tag by cffile tag (for each adress i
write then delete a small file, to simulate activity without really
sending tons of emails
... and remove the "every 100 loops update a
counter" query... it still crashs (but around 360,000 loops).
Just in case, I tried the cfsetting timeout in the cfc, the
timeout in the struct passed to the cfc... no effect.
So I'm a bit confused about the aibility to handle long
running tasks...
The exception.log files contains :
"Error","Thread-13","04/20/06","17:26:58",,"Error invoking
CFC for gateway emailblaster: null"
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
And here is a part of the cfc code :obouillaud wrote:

you can't crash the "sending process" w/bad email, it will
only NOT send those
emails.

you need procedures, etc. to manage that sort of thing. for
instance, if your db
has triggers, you can have it verify the email when/if
somebody messes w/it.

are designed for such

for example every

probably several way to handle this. here's one:
one asynch gateway, one CFC, pass in query conditions &
let it work (do the
query, send the mail). instead of one monster loop of 500k,
maybe 10 of 50k
would work better. it's all the same to the user/main app--it
hands off the
processing to the gateway & goes on to do other things.
you can easily call the
gateway 10x in the main app, since everything's happening in
the gateway it's
very fast as far as the user/main app is concerned.
i'm not sure what your UPDATE query is actually used for but
you could easily
hand-off parsing send logs, etc. to an asynch gateway (could
even be the same
one that's running the email, you can specify a different CFC
to use) to handle
that. or if you really wanted to get "fancy" have a look at
sean's concurrency
app:
http://cfopen.org/projects/concurrency
i've combined gateways before. for example, SMS & asynch
gateways work very well
together (cf can melt down SMS aggregators fairly easily). so
having more than 1
gateway handle a job's not a bad idea. -

Java.lang.OutOfMemoryError when calling invokeMethod from CO
Hi All,
We are developing some custom pages using OA. All the pages were working properly utill yestarday and all of of a sudden I started getting java.lang.OutOfMemoryError error in my local Jdeveloper.I have not installed any new software or any upgrade between now and then, and there has been no changes to my application either. I even tried running this page standalone. I uninstalled Jdeveloper and reinstalled it again still the same. When I copy the code from AM into my CO it works fine. What could be causing the issue ?

Here is the code from fpi.oracle.apps.xbol.gwo.webui.GWOOrderHeaderCO where the exception originated.. this is not just with this CO but in all the CO. This code is exactly the same as in the PO Tutorial. Also I could not locate the option to set the JVM memory parameter in Project setting. I have set the Java heap size -mx512m which I believe is what you wanted me to do.
OAApplicationModule am = pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
Serializable[] parameters = { pageContext.getParameter("headerId") };
boolean rowFound = ((Boolean)am.invokeMethod("init", parameters)).booleanValue();
Here is the complete stack..

One app service getting "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space"
We are running a commercial app on WebLogic 9.2. Two physical servers with 5 application processes running on each in a single cluster. on the server in question, we have 5.5 gigs of free ram at the moment and still getting the message below.
We have 10 app servers and one is getting this message. the full text of it is:
####<Apr 13, 2011 10:58:12 AM CDT> <Warning> <DeploymentService> <lxwbwapa> <workbpr2_node_1a> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '6' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1302710292663> <BEA-290064> <Deployment service servlet encountered an Exception while handling the deployment service message for request id "-1" from server "Admin_pr2_a". Exception is: "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
".>
I dug back through the logs and found it started a couple of weeks ago. I have been able to log into this app server without issue.
Something else I have noticed is that the total heap size for all the app services have shrunk from the initial value of 1.5G - they have all dropped down into the 500 meg range. Is this normal? Why has this one not increased the size of the heap if it is running out of memory?
I could restart the service for this app server but I would not know the cause and since it is a production server where I am not recieving complaints, I am hesitant to go through the res tape to do a re-start.
Any information or past experience with this type issue is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
WHello,
You might want to post this in the weblogic forum: WebLogic Server - General
as they might be able to explain how WebLogic uses or releases resources.
