Error message (undefined package 'lang')
I keep getting this message every time I try to compile my programs. Where can I get the 'lang' package?
I understand that the java.lang package is automatically imported. Please tell me something I don't know. But the problem is that I don't have it at all, it can't even automatically import it because it isn't there to import. I'm using Microsoft's Visuall J++ and I've had this problem before but I can't remember how I fixed it. I think there is somewhere I can download the package but I'm not sure.

I am using Adobe Creative Cloud, I go into Apps and I get the error message undefined. I cannot download anything. I try to refresh application, nothing. I can even see what I downloaded previously. I am using windows 7, 64 bit.

After upgrading to AppWorld 3.1.0.56 error message "Exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError" occurs, is there a way to downgrade back to the old version at this point.

One solution is to downgrade your AppWorld.
First, delete what you have at Options > Device > Applications
(or on OS5, Options > Advanced > Applications).

InDesign error message when packaging artwork
When I try to package a particular document I get an error message saying "Cannot copy necessary linked files"
All links are linking correctly from what I can tell. There are no errors in pre flight.
I have tried deleting all the images out of the file and I still get the error message.
I have tried copy and pasting each page into another document and packaging that document but I get the same error message.
I can package other documents no problem - it's just this one that I can't package. I have tried packaging it after a restart, packaging it on another computer and coping the file to my desktop and packaging it from there.
Please help, I need to get this file to a client!The causes for this are generally either an "illegal character" (typically a slash or asterisk, but could be something else) in a file or folder name, or the length of the path leading to the file is too long.

I installed Oracle 10G. Was working great.
then installed PHP5. working great.
then TYPO3 (a web content manager) Still ok.
then I wanted TYPO3 to user my oracle 10g server.
One of the step was to install instant client (which I did)
Then I needed to reboot: My oracle 10G doesn't start anymore.
When trying SQLplus:

Unset LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Backed-up my sqlplus in ORACLE_HOME/bin.
Backed-up my libraried in ORACLE_HOME/lib
Renamed instantclient to instantclient_bck
copied all libraries from instantclient_bck to ORACLE_HOME/lib
copied sqlplus from instantclient_bck to ORACLE_HOME/bin
dbshut
dbstart
Everything came back as it used to be :) -
Error message - undefined variable or class:Console
I'm trying to compile a java program written by a lecturer but I get this message every time. I think I'm not importing something I should. Help?
It says that java doesn't know what Console is. Post relevant code and the exact error message for further help.

Undefined is not an object error message
Hi there.
I'm just new to scripting in illustrator. actually, i'm new to illustrator too!
but i do have a programming background. right now, i'm just trying to familiarize myself with scripting for illustrator files.
i have an svg file that was created by our artist. i've opened that file in illustrator. i've also opened a sample javascript from adobe called "makelineargradient" and i'm trying to run this script against the svg file.
it worked fine the first time. but on subsequent compiles / runs, i'm getting the error message "undefined is not an object"
the line it's failing on is line 1:

can someone point me in the right direction? I'm using the extendscripts tool to open and run the javascript file.Be sure that you are targeting Illustrator, and not the Extendscript application (there is a dropdown menu at the top left.). I'll bet that yours is still set to Extendscript (it will default to this when opened.)
Also, you can add the line:
#target illustrator
at the beginning of the code to set Illustrator as the target. -

Error Installing with Package from CCP
Hi,
Apologies if there's a CCP board; I didn't see it in the menu.
I used Creative Cloud Packager to make a package of apps for Mac.
Installing the package using Apple Remote Desktop returns ".. could not be installed. Error message: "Running package scripts...""
When I run it locally on any machine (10.6 or 10.9), it responds with this error:
The installation progress slows to a crawl about 3/4 of the way through "Running package scripts..." then after a few minutes returns "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
Nothing relevant seems to appear in the console log.
Anyone have any ideas?
