Error occured activating decorator Web application decoratio

Hello,
I recently upgraded to eclipse 3.1 (fresh install) and installed build 425 as a plugin.
I imported my projects into this new release and I am getting this weird error on startup : 'an error occured activating decorator Web application decoration'
Has anyone experienced the same issue ?
Could you please provide some hints on how to solve this issue ?
Thanks in advance =)
Anthony

Hi,
What OS are you working on?
When you say "upgraded to eclipse.." do you mean extracted eclipse-SDK-3.1-win32.zip/eclipse-SDK-3.1-linux-gtk.tar to a new location?
If possible can you please try the following steps:
* Quit NitroX/Eclipse
* Extract Eclipse 3.1 to a new location
* Install NitroX in a different folder pointing to your new eclipse
* Launch NitroX
- On Windows start > Programs > M7 NitroX >
- On Linux <NitroX_install_folder>/NitroX.sh
* Switch to web perspective (Window > Open Perspective > other > Web)
* Create any of the sample app from New Web App Wizard
* Open JSP/XML files
If you still face the problem, send the following files to [email protected]
* workspace - ..eclipse\workspace\.metadata - .log file
* <NitroX Install Folder>\NitroX\eclipse\plugins\com.m7.nitrox_2.1.0 - m7.log.0 file
* <NitroX Install Folder>\NitroX_InstallLog.log
Thanks,

  • An error occurred activating decorator ...

    I am getting this error when I start eclipse. It says "An error occurred activating decorator Web application decoration". I got this before also and solved by un-insalling eclipse and Nitro and re-installing them again. There should be an easier way to solve this problem.
    Here is my info:
    Nitro: NitroX_JSP_Editor_2.1_425
    Eclipse 3.1
    Sun JDK: 1.5.0
    O/S: Fedora Linux
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Hi,
    It would be helpful if you can send the following information to [email protected]
    * What version of Fedora are you using (Core 2 / 3)?
    * Launch NitroX (<NitroX_Home_Dir>\NitroX.sh) and send
    - Window > Preferences > Java > Installed JREs - the JRE/JDK version
    - Help > About NitroX > Click on Eclipse icon - Version & build id
    * workspace - ..eclipse\workspace\.metadata - .log file
    * <NitroX_Home_Dir>\NitroX\eclipse\plugins\com.m7.nitrox_2.1.0 - m7.log.0 file
    * <NitroX_Home_Dir>\NitroX_InstallLog.log

  • "error occurred setting the server application active"

    Hi All,
    I found following error when I save outline in ASO application. It seems that the application cannot be started correctly. Other applications (BSO/ASO) are running correctly.
    "error occurred setting the server application active"

    try this:
    Issue can be from both server and application side:
    1)Addition of SERVERTHREADS with a proper value. When any database operation is requested then monitor the number of process, memory etc. Idea is to identify which process is trying to use max resource on server level.
    2) Also, if possible try and increase the ulimit setting to "unlimited".
    3) Verify NETDELAY and NETRETRYCOUNT -- Guess you have checked this so values should be fine here.
    4) If the environment is windows then:
    a)Open the Registry
    b)Navigate to Local Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Parameters
    c)Add new DWORD Value named TcpTimedWaitDelay, right click and select Modify. Select decimal radio button, type in 30. (The default value of this parameter is 2 minutes. This is how long it will take for a TCP/IP port that was used by the network for a connection to be released and made available again. 30 sec is the minimum allowed by Microsoft)
    d)Add new DWORD Value named MaxUserPort, right click and select Modify. Select decimal radio button, type in 65534. (The default value is 5000. This determines the highest port number TCP can assign when an application requests an available user port from the system).
    e)Add new DWORD Value named MaxFreeTcbs, right click and select Modify. Select decimal radio button, type in 6250. (The default value is 2000. This determines the number of TCP control blocks (TCBs) the system creates to support active connections. Because each connection requires a control block, this value determines how many active connections TCP can support simultaneously. If all control blocks are used and more connection requests arrive, TCP can prematurely release connections in the TIME_WAIT state in order to free a control block for a new connection).
    f) Reboot the server.
    5) On application side, look at the cache settings, If they are very high then try lowering them and check.
    Cheers!!
    HA:-)

  • An error occurred while starting "Web Cache".

    We have corrected the issue. There was something wrong with the files in the WebCache Folder.
    Hello,
    When starting Web Cache we get the following message:
    An error occurred while starting "Web Cache".
    WebCache : WebCache - failed to start a managed process after the maximum retry limit
    WebCache : WebCacheAdmin - failed to start a managed process after the maximum retry limit
    For more information, look at the logs using the related link below.
    Related Link Error Logs
    When we open the event_log in the \webcache\logs folder, there is nothing there. The process is not writing any type of message to the event_log.
    We have tried changing port numbers without any success.
    This process was working until a restart of the server yesterday. Now Web Cache and Portal are not showing active.
    Thank you for any input on this matter.

    Try to stop processes that might still occupy the port of the webcache and webcache admin.
    Also check the logfiles in the opmn.

  • Error occurred while installing the application: Invalid device specified

    Error occurred while installing the application: Invalid <device> specified i am getting this error on windows. How to solve that.

    Hi there.
    I know this is an old post, but I fell here having this same problem for some weeks now, and i just figured my issue. Hope it help others:
    My iPhone is connecting automatically with my itunes on computer. Not really sure what type of connection or wireless sync, but the fact is that it IS connecting.
    For some weird reason it gets Flash Builder crazy and it cannot find the right device anymore. Even when I get my iPhone connected by cable, it says that it found the device, but doesn`t publish to it. The Flash Builder says that it was published, but nothing gets installed, and the debugger cannot connect.
    MY SOLUTION (for now): Turn off the phone wi-fi, so it gets out of my home network. works like a charm and I finally can test on my device again.
    Really hope this helps.

    Olivier, thank you so much
    SOAMANAGER does not exist in my system (sp level 8), so node "/sap/bc/soap/rfc" should be active. Actually, it is active.
    I think the problem is related to user rights/profiles.
    I have tried to create another WS after assigning role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN. The same error when trying to activate it, but now, I can see this WS in SE80 (under "Enterprise Services->Service Definition"). It is not active there and if I try to activate it, a success message appears indicating that user "is not authorized to use function netzwerkadministration". I cannot see any new services in SICF...
    Probably the new entry in SICF will be created after activating WS in SE80...
    Do u know what user profile should I add in order to properly activate the WS in SE80?
    Thank you very much!

  • Fb 4.7 air sdk 15.0.0.349 Error occurred while installing the application

    Hi
    Im using fb 4.7 air sdk 15.0.0.349 with Macosx 10.9.4, xcode 6.1 (ios simulator 8.1) and i keep getting the following response when debugging with ios simulator:
    Error occurred while installing the application:
    Session did end with error (null)
    Can you help?  Is this a bug being fixed yet?
    Thanks.
    zed0784

    Sorry i was refering to my other post. I am on FB 4.7, AIR 15 SDK 15.0.0.356, Xcode Version 6.1 (6A1052d) with the same problem on Mavericks on my MacPro and Yosemite on my MacBook Pro. My App (which uses Feathers and Starling) didnt work at all and even got rejected for Testflight testing because is was crashing immediately on iOS 8.1. I found out that this was related to the new compiler so "-useLegacyAOT yes " solved that problem.
    But the problem that i cannot test in iOS simulator at all still persists. (Session did end with error (null))

    Update:
    My previous proposed solution (of installing the 64-bit JRE) resulted in a different problem. After multiple attempts and restarts I was unable to work in the Flash Builder IDE as it became unresponsive on load. Each time I had to use Task Manager to close the application.
    Apparent Solution:
    Close all applications running in Windows
    Uninstall all versions of JRE (Java Runtime Environment)
    Uninstall Flash Builder 4.7
    Reinstall Flash Builder 4.7

  • "Error occurred while packaging the application" Apple iOS, Launch on Device

    After several successful launches to a physical iOS device (iPad) I suddenly started getting this error "Error occurred while packaging the application". It occurs within a couple of seconds after I click "Run".  I am running the current FB 4.5.1 on Windows XP (SP 3).  I've tried cleaning the project, re-booting my computer, deleting and re-creating the project, and re-creating the iOS configuration; the issue remains.  I have not yet removed and re-installed FB.
    Below is my configuration info.
    Many thanks if someone has an idea about how to resolve this.

    Here are the log file contents for my most recent session.  Thanks.

    Any idea?

    In fact I resolved it, it was while using FlashDevelop IDE, one of my swc library, the assets, was included completely (not a dynamic library nor an external one). The packager didn't seem to like that so I changed it to dynamic and added a simple Array containing all my assets instance names. It worked, thanks anyways Neh

    Switch yourself to administrator mode ;-) and check the log files. Esp. the ones in $SOA_HOME/opmn/logs are of interest. Look for any java stack traces that are related (in time) to your request.
    When you contact Oracle Support you must provide much more information than this little snippet...
