Error using SHIFT statement when migrating program from R/3 4.7 to ECC6.0
Hello Experts,
The SHIFT statement is giving following error in ECC6.0 but the same is warning in R/3 4.7.
"Floating point variable can not be used with SHIFT statement.".
Statement is - SHIFT itab-f1 by 5 places where f1 is a floting point field.
We passed the value in string variable and used in the SHIFT statement. It is removing the error but not giving the result same as in R/3 4.7.
Please let me know how to solve this.
Thanks and Regards,
Rahul
Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
We don't know why was this code written. We are just moving the object from R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.0 and fixing the errors.
Could you please let me know "What it means to SHIFT a floating point variable by some spaces"? .
This i am asking because SHIFT RIGHT generally means to shif the value to the right by some spaces i.e. inserting space at the starting.
But in case of floating point it change the value itself. If you can tell me then i can find an alternative solution to get the same result.
Thanks and Regards,
Rahul

Hi,
I've just been handed as set of BPEL processes which were developed in 10.1.3.3 and I'm working on migrating them to 10.1.3.4.
Migration of most processes was straight forward, however, there is one process (SendMessage) that accepts an XML document as its input. The message payload is successfully sent in the older version, however, in version 10.1.3.4, I keep on getting the following error.
Server was unable to read request. ---> There is an error in XML document (195, 99). ---> Input string was not in a correct format.
The line number is the end line number of the xml document message.
I've checked both versions and in 10.1.3.3 the ValidateXML option is set to false, whereas in 10.1.3.4 its 'none', which is equivalent to false.
Are there any other settings in 10.1.3.4 that could be causing this error? Has anyone else come across this issue when migrating upgwards from 10.1.3.3?
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
Kind regards,
ShirazI had recently done the same migration. One of the issues I had faced was while specifying the nillable elements I used to get an error if the namespace definition was in the header. The error was occuring while sending the message to AQ.
I do not know if this will help. Also it would be useful if you could provide details of where the process is failing is it failing at the receive activty or later. What does the process do....
Best of luck with the problem. -
Error "Error in ABAP statement when processing an internal table. table."
Hello,

"Error in ABAP statement when processing an internal table. table."
I have the central receipient role. Couold any body assist me?
Thanks,
PijushHi Harish,
Execute the query in RSRT and check whether you have any short dump is in ST22. This would give a clear idea at what might have gone wrong.
Another thing is to check whether the code for the variable is fine in the user exit.
Hope this helps.

Hi all, first post to this community, wish all well
I have a MBP which is more than three years old, installed with OSX Leopard 10.6. Recently the MBP failed to to start and I tried to follow some articles online, including some from this community, to repair my disk, and more importantly, to backup data on the startup disk. But it does not work quite well so I try to seek some help here.
What I have done is to bootup with the installation DVD, try to verify and repair the disk using disk utility, which tells me it can't repair and recommend to backup, erase and reinstall. Am fine with this recommendation but now the problem is on the backup part. There are two partitons on this 500GB hitachi SATA disk. One is 300G which is for OSX itself, and the other 200G was partitioned for Time Machine. The repair failure is on the OSX partition which contains most of the recent data that I want to backup/restore. And unfortunately the Time Machine backup was stopped about two month ago, for some stupid decision I have made , while I am hoping to recover some data for the past month.
Currently the SMART status of the whole disk is verified, the OSX partition is unmounted with no details in the Available, Used, Number of Files, etc. From what I have researched (correct me if I am wrong), I highlight the OSX partition from the list on the left, click 'New Image' button on top, and select the destination to try to create an image of the current partition. But regardless of my desintation (Time Machine partition, or external USB drive), the imaging process always failed with Resource Busy error. Some online search suggest that the partition must be in unmount status but seems it does not apply to this case.
Would be really appreciated if anyone can give me some advice on what's the 'resource busy' error mean, how to backup the OSX partition, or what are the other possible alternatives.Very poor idea to keep the Time Machine backup file on the internal hard drive. They should always be put on an external drive. As when the internal fails you lose everything. Which is what I suspect has happened.
More then likely your internal drive is failing. the only options to get a new internal drive and a SATA to USB adapter. Install the new drive inside the system abd install OS X on it. Then once that is finished and you are booting from it connect the old drive to the system with the SATA to USB adapter and copy your files off the old drive. That is if you can. -

Sql Error in Select statement when doing subquery
Hi,
I am trying to see what the error is in the subquery part of the select statement.
Subquery should be fetching the safety_stock_quantity based on the MAX(effectivity_date).
Any suggestions?
SELECT kbn.last_update_date,itm.segment1,itm.description,kbn.kanban_card_number,kbn.kanban_size,

kbn.last_update_date,itm.segment1,itm.description,kbn.kanban_card_number,kbn.kanban_size;
Thanks
PravnHi, Pravn,
Remember the ABC's of GROUP BY:
When you use a GROUP BY clause and/or an aggregate fucntion, then every item in the SELECT clause must be:
(A) an <b>A</b>ggregate function,
(B) one of the "group <b>B</b>y" expressions,
(C) a <b>C</b>onstant, or
(D) something that <b>D</b>epends entirely on the above. (For example, if you "GROUP BY TRUNC(dt)", you can "SELECT TO_CHAR (TRUNC(dt), 'Mon-DD')").
There's a GROUP BY clause in your main query, so every item in the main SELECT clause must be one of the above. The last item, the unnamed scalar sub-query, is none of the above.
How can you fix this problem? That depends on your data, the results you want, and perhaps on your Oracle version. If you'd like help, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) from all tables involved. Also post the results you want from that data, and an explanation of how you get those results from that data, with specific examples.
Always say which version of Oracle you're using.
You may have noticed that this site normally doesn't display multiple spaces in a row.
Whenever you post formatted text (including, but limited to, actual code) on this site, type these 6 characters:
\(small letters only, inside curly brackets) before and after each section of formatted text, to preserve spacing. -
Syntax error using try statement in WLST
Hi All,
I have a WLST script to create some JMS resources.
I want to implement exception handling in such a way that if the script fails at any point, all the changes done should be reverted back.
However, whenever I am trying to put a try block, the script is throwing syntax error on the first line after the try statement.
Please find below the script I am using. Please suggest

Try doing copy pasting the below code, you have to hit the tab or space after try or except to create its block and keep an eye on the alinement's of it.
try:
save()
activate(block="true")
print "script returns SUCCESS"
except:
save()
cancelEdit(defaultAnswer="y")
print "Error while trying to connect to server !!!"
print "Unexpected error: ", sys.exc_info()[0]

Cant See RTF Files in JAR but can when running program from command prompt
posted August 16, 2005 08:26 AM
Hi ALL:
I have a Java Swing APP. It has Menus which displays information through File I/O in a JEditorPane.
When I run my program from Command Prompt using "java myApp" it shows these RTF Files as it is.
However when I run them after converting Directory into a Executable JAR FILE, it fails. I get a blank JEditorPane. My RTF files are in the CORRECT PATH, just dont get displayed. Rest of the APP works fine.

Force some statements when exiting program
Hello,
I have created a class,
I want that when the program exits,
it should have a code that will be done before the program exits.
The following is for initialization :
public class myClass {
Static {
... do something
// what should I put here for finalization ?
Thanks :)addShutdownHook doesn't work for some conditions
(it seems to be work for simple pure java)
If I do :
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog ... - doesn't work
System.out.println ... - work !!!
Thanks :)A quote from one of the references found by the following search
Because shutdown hooks run as threads, you must use thread-safe programming techniques. Otherwise you risk having threads interfere with each other. Also, it's wise to design your application for simple and fast shutdown processing. For example, you might run into trouble if your application uses services during shutdown that are themselves in the processing of being shut down.

Error in segment COMM_PR_SHTEXT when downloading products from ERP to CRM
Hi experts
I get below error when downloading materials from ERP to CRM.
"Data for set COMM_PR_SHTEXT may only be changed in the original system Q10CLNT310" But the material and the short texts has been created in ERP, hence I can't change them in CRM. When I look in table COMM_PRODUCT field LOGSYS has value 'Q01CLNT300' which is our ERP system. So as far as I see it, our original system is Q01CLNT300 and not Q10CLNT310 as it says in the errormessage. The result is that the sales org data we are trying to download to CRM are not downloaded.
Can you help me on this one?
Best regards
Jørgen JensenHello Jørgen ,
Q10CLNT310 --> Is this you old ERP system?
One possibility for this error would be some product related tables contain the wrong LOGSYS value i,e Q10CLNT310.
Also,check LOGSYS for table COMM_PRSHTEXT.
This generally happens when data has been copied by means of client copy , and you do not run txn:BDLS.
In txn:BDLS ,you can change the LOGSYS for a particular table or all relevant tables.
You can execute in in Test mode, to check the affected tables.
Hope this helps!

Shanthala Kudva. -
Error in Abap code when combining data from two tables
Hi,
I got error in my code when i try to select data based on two tables
error message Unknown column name "(" field list. field list. field list. field list.
select ( WLK1~ARTNR )
into ZOXE1D0041-ZZPROMO
from WLK1 INNER JOIN T001W
ON WLK1FILIA = T001WKUNNR.
where WLK1-PFLKN NE 'P' AND
WLK1-QUELL NE '2'.
Table 1 WLK1
ARTNR FILIA PFLKN QUELL
001 C001 P 2
002 C001 A 1
Table 2 T001W
KUNNR WERKS
C001 P001
My requirement is to extract from article number from table WLK1 where the customer number (FILIA) matches with Customer number from (T001W) and plant (WERKS).
In conclusion I like to have this only this row
ARTNR FILIA PFLKN QUELL
002 C001 A 1Hi
You need to append every article number after each select is performed
is this an intermal table ZOXE1D0041 with header line ? if yes
then do this way
select WLK1~ARTNR
into ZZARTICLE
from WLK1 INNER JOIN T001W
ON WLK1FILIA = T001WKUNNR
where WLK1~PFLKN NE 'P' AND
WLK1~PFLKN NE 'S' AND
WLK1~QUELL NE '2'.
ZOXE1D0041-ZZLISTARTICLE = ZZARTICLE.
Append ZOXE1D0041. " <edited>
endselect.
then ZOXE1D0041 will have all article numbers.

E.g., reading an online newspaper. I will open many tabs with different articles. About 1 out of 10 tabs will have a 706 error, which goes away when I click the reload button.
It's most noticeable then, but it occasionally happens (1 out of 10 sites) when I click a single link off my bookmarks menu, or manually enter a URL.
I think FF is not y waiting long enough for some kind of response from the remote link.
Like I said, this started happening when I upgraded from 3.22All the page says is “failure to read response”
No proxy server.
I’ve got lots of add-ons: NoScript, BeefTaco, Ghostery, etc. How do I get a list for you automatically?
Here’s the response, if you can figure out who or what is generating it.
