If your directory structure looked like this, for example:

|_pgm1
|_pgm2... Then back up to the 'applications' directory and compile as:
javac com\*.java
Run as:
java com.pgm1

PI 7.1 Enhancement pack 8: still error when referencing java class in xslt
Hi
I am getting an error in PI 7.1 EP 8 Repository when I try to use an xslt in which I make a reference to a java class. The error is:
Transformer Configuration Exception occurred when loading XSLT XCBL_invoice_stylesheet.xsl; details: Could not compile stylesheet
I use this xslt:
<xsl:template match="/" xmlns:util="dk.dongenergy.pi.mapping.Utilities_datetime">
<html>
<B><xsl:text>Received: </xsl:text><xsl:value-of select="util:getCurrentDateTimeFormatted()"/>
I have imported the java archive successfully and it is working in XI 3.0 and it is working if I comment out the reference to the java class in the xslt.
the java class looks like this:
package dk.dongenergy.pi.mapping;
import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;
import java.util.Date;
public class Utilities_datetime {
* public static String getCurrentDateTimeFormatted() {*
* Date now = new Date();*
* SimpleDateFormat formatter = new SimpleDateFormat("dd MMM yyyy HH:mm:ss");*
* return formatter.format(now);*
We have applied enhancement pack 8 on PI 7.1 as suggewsted in this note, but that has not done the trick:
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_bc_xi/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d31333235363833%7d
Any suggestions?

Error while compiling java class (ora-29535 source requires recompilation)
Hello. I`m new with oracle and i`m having a problem with java classes. Few days ago i loaded java classes (loadjava) from jar file(biojava3-structure-3.0.2.jar) and compiled ( everything compiled with status valid). Now i`m writing my own class and i can`t import classes from biojava3. I`m getting error:
Projekt:7: cannot access org.biojava.bio.structure.Atom
bad class file: null
class file has wrong version 50.0, should be 49.0
Please remove or make sure it appears in the correct subdirectory of the classpath.
import org.biojava.bio.structure.Atom;
I have tryed to change jdk version in netbeans from 1.7 to 1.6. I created java class in sql plus That still not resolved my problem.
Please help me.consider posting in Java forum instead of Database forum

Edited by: arun240 on Jul 25, 2008 8:47 AMWell, it seems there's an object (perhaps a PaymentPipe?) pointing to null which you're trying to invoke a method (performPaymentInitialization()?) on. Needles to say: you can do that.
SomeObject so = null;
// ... some more code ...
so.someMethod(); // No can do! A NPE will be thrown! -
Error when generating java classes from object types
Hi,
I'm using JDeveloper version 10.1.3.0.2
I created an object type in the database, the definition is:

I tried to create a java class for this object using JDeveloper, by using generate java menu item.
I got the following error:

any body can hlep in that pleaseI would recommend using JAXB instead of the Oracle class generator. This will give a standards based object-to-XML platform.
Oracle provides two JAXB implementations: one in the TopLink product, and the other in the XDK.
For an example of using TopLink JAXB see:

Scheduled job throws Class Not Found error when executing Java class
Hi,
I have written a java class to carry out a file upload to an external site and put the class on our server.
I also wrote a script to call this java class, passing inthe relevant parameters.
If i call the script using the ./ syntax from SSH it runs file logged in as Root and Oracle.
I the setup a scheduled job to call this script but the job fails with the error...
STANDARD_ERROR="Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HttpsFileUpload Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: HttpsFileUpload at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:"I cannot understand why it is raising the error if it runs from SSH.
O/S = Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES, oracle version = 10.2.0.1.0
Any help or guidance would be appreciated
Thank you in advance
Graham.
Edited by: gpc on Feb 4, 2009 12:46 PMHi,
See this link for some tips if you haven't yet :
Guide to External Jobs on 10g with dbms_scheduler e.g. scripts,batch files
I can think of two things. Your script may not be able to run as the nobody user (by default external jobs run as the nobody user). Or your script might require that some environment variable be set (by default environment variables are not set in external jobs).
Maybe you need to set the CLASSPATH variable in your script before calling java ?
Hope this helps,

out.println("<body>");
out.println("<h1>Hello World!</h1>");
out.println("</body>");
out.println("</html>");
Plz tell me wat i hav to do to correct those errorsWell first it would seem you need to get your basics clear. I'd suggest get a good book and start with that because otherwise you'd be getting stuck with every other step; definitely not worth the trouble and effort and time you'd be putting in.
Every public class needs to be put into a file with the exact name including case of the characters. So your file should be "HelloWorld.java" and not "Helloworld.java". Note the capital "W" in the correct name.
Secondly, you need to include "servlet-api.jar" from Tomcat ( if you're using that, if you're using some other container, you'll have to get the appropriate JAR from there ) in your class to get rid of the other compilation errors.
People on the forum help others voluntarily, it's not their job.
Help them help you.

Cannot resolve symbol error when compiling a class that calls another class
I've read all the other messages that include "cannot resolve symbol", but no luck. I've got a small app - 3 classes all in the same package. BlackjackDAO and Player compile OK, but BlackjackServlet throws the "cannot resolve symbol" (please see pertinent code below)...
I've tried lots: ant and javac compiling, upgrading my version of tomcat, upgrading my version of jdk/jre, making sure my servlet.jar is being seen by the compiler (at least as far as I can see from the -verbose feedback)...any help would be GREAT! Thanks in advance...

Hi all,
I have created a class in SE24 for BOM creation.There are no syntax errors.But when i run the extended program check i get the following error.
The program YMFCL_ENH00108_SRV_BOM========CCDEF referred to in INCLUDE, CALL FUNCTION, PERFORM, CALL TRANSACTION, or SUBMIT is missing.
It would be very helpful if somebody could tell me what the error message means and what i need to check to remove the error.Really?! FYI even SAP standard programs are full of warnings when you do an extended check on them! Just try one and see for yourself.
The development objective should be to get rid of 'real' errors which affects the system or the business processes.
Good luck with the extended program check -
BI Publisher desktop in MS word ( error when preview ) Java class not find
The problem is:
open MS Word
Log on successfully to Oracle BI in the MS Word with the desktop add-in
Successfully access to the Answer's request results and get the field to rtf template.
Pressing preview
Error is shown as below:
Error No: 53
Desc: File not found
Please confirm that
1) Java runtime version is 1.3 or later is installed correctly
2) The Java executable is accessible through the Windows Path or the Java Home directory is entered in the Preview tab of the options dialog
User then download JRE 1.5 to test again, but the problem is still here.
Strangely, this problem only happened in some users' desktop / notebooks.
Could anyone help to solve this problem?Very useful answer. Thank you. I changed C:\Program Files\Java\jre6 to C:\Program Files\Java\jre7 and it worked perfectly. I guess my issue was caused by the fact that I upgraded Java from 6 to 7. --Harry

Suffering an complie error when trying to compile java class in EBS11i
Hi,
When I trying to compile java classes with which imported the HttpServletResponse class, will get the follow error message:
package javax.servlet does not exist
cannot resolve symbol
symbol : class HttpServletResponse
It seems the javax.servlet package is not included in the classpath. But I checked the $CLASSPATH, it seems no problem.
echo $CLASSPATH

I have ReqLinesNotificationsVORowImpl and ReqLinesNotificationsVOImpl files in myprojects directory. Can anyone help please?
ThanksHi,
From the error it seems that the code is refering ReqLinesNotificationsVOExRowImpl file.
Please make sure that its class file is present in myclasses folder.
Since u have mentioned that ReqLinesNotificationsVORowImpl is already placed in myclasses folder. Hope this should resolve your issue.

Error while compile .Java to .class
I am new in java card. I have some problem when compile java card applet.
1. I installed j2sdk1.4.2_07 and java_card_kit- 2_2_2 to build a sample java card. I set the environment as:
@echo off
set JC_HOME=C:\java_card_kit-2_2_2-windows\java_card_kit-2_2_2
set JAVA_HOME=c:\j2sdk1.4.2_07
set PATH=.;%JC_HOME%\bin;%JAVA_HOME%\bin;%PATH%
I created a java applet and saved in C\STCard, and I use windows command to compile, the command is:
c:\java_card_kit-2_2_2-windows\java_card_kit-2_2_2\samples>javac -g -classpath c:\STCard;..\lib\api.jar;..lib\installer.jar c:\STCard\*.java
but the error is: "cannot access javacard.framework.APDU"
What am I wrong?
2. I use eclipse 3.3.2, eclipse jcde 0.1, java_card_kit-2_2_2, jdk1.6.0 to compile java card applet. The compilation from .java to .class was no problem, but from the .class to .cap has problem:
java com.sun.javacard.converter.Converter -config .\converter2.opt
error: stcard.STCard: unsupported class file format of version 50.0.
What should I do to convert from .class to .cap?

.class expected error when compiling
Ive been getting this frustrating error when compiling. My program is essentially supposed to add the values in two matrixes and return a new matrix using the added values
Heres my code:
public Matrix add(Matrix comp)
int[][] temp = new int[this.numRows()][this.numCols()];
for (int a = 0; a < comp.numRows(); a++) {
for (int b = 0; b < comp.numCols(); b++) {
temp[a] = this.myCells[a][b] + comp.getVal(a, b);
Matrix addedMatrix = new Matrix(temp[][]);
return addedMatrix;
heres the constructor for Matrix object:
public Matrix(int[][] mat)
int[][] myCells = new int[mat.length][mat[0].length];
for (int i = 0; i < mat.length; i++) {
for (int j = 0; j < mat[0].length; j++) {
myCells[i][j] = mat[i][j];
}getVal, numRows, and numCols are all helper methods that just return values.
The error is '.class' expected in the line which says Matrix addedMatrix = new Matrix(temp[][]); I checked for extra brackets but there dont seem to be any.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.I think you just needMatrix addedMatrix = new Matrix(temp);
