  • Error with User Type when publish a PL/SQL Web Service in JDeveloper

    Hi,
    I am using Jdeveloper 10.1.2.1 , have a PL/SQL package with these predefined types (types definition not include inside package);
    type reg_perfil as object (perfil varchar2(30), status varchar2(30))
    type tab_perfiles as table of reg_perfil
    type res_error as object (cerror number(1), cerror_ora varchar2(12), terror varchar2(50));
    type res_perfiles as object (error res_error, perfiles tab_perfiles)
    then I have a function:
    FUNCTION ff_perfiles(...) RETURN res_perfiles;
    When I publish from JDeveloper this package I get all the .java and sqlj files, but one of them is empty (TabperfilesUser.java) and of course compilation fails because it is looking for referenced class "TabPerfilesUser" that not exists!
    I know this is because is trying to map tab_perfiles type but there is some error.
    I realized that if I change the code of all files and replace "TabPerfilesUser" for "TabPerfilesBase" (this file and class was generated correctly) .... it works!!!, but of course I have to find another way to fixe it without changing generated code! (you know future maintenance).
    Is this a bug??? what could I do? ... by the way this happens also with JDveloper 10.1.3
    thanks...

  • JAX-WS PL/SQL  Web Service with JDeveloper (Weblogic problem)

    Hello,
    does anyone know how to create a JAX-WS webservice based on a pl-sql package using JDeveloper? Maybe it is possible with a newer version of JDeveloper 11.1.2.3, currently I'm using 11.1.1.6 which only offers a JAX-RPC for PlSql Web services.
    I'm facing a problem right now trying to deploy an jax-rpc web service on Weblogic 10.3.4. Actually it seems to be an WebLogic problem because weblogic doesn't support the older standard (JAX-RPC). So I've extended the weblogic domain using Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard like described for example here . Unfortunately it doesn't help. Deploying my applicaiton on a forms11g (11.1.1.4) domain (which goes hand in hand with the weblogic domain (?)) is successful. But anyway I can't call the WSDL or test the web service using weblogic console. Other services (jax-ws) work without any problem on the same forms domain.
    I would appreciate any hint, how to automatically produce an jax-ws web service from an plsql package or how to run a jax-rpc web service on weblogic 10.3.4. It's Weblogic Basic Server actually, but I'm of the opinion it doesn't play a role in my case.
    Thank you in advance for your hints.
    Kind regards,
    Anton
    Edit: I would appreciate any hint how to check if a weblogic domain supports jax-rpc (if extended correctly). Thanks.

    We can generate jaxws from 11.1.2.0 onwards using This is now provided by the TopLink web service provider builder, which can be via the TopLink DBWS provider wizard from JDeveloper since the 11.1.2.0.0 release

  • 401 Unauthorized Error When calling a SharePoint REST web service from SharePoint 2013 Workflow

    We have our Workflow Manger installed on the same server as our SharePoint 2013 WFE development environment. When creating a SharePoint 2013 Workflow all Calls to a SharePoint 2013 REST web service results in a 401 Unauthorized error.
    As an example I created a simple workflow that should return a JSON result. The REST Url returns the results in the browser without error.
    Set Variable:webServiceUrl to https://<hostnamedsitecollection>/_vti_bin/client.svc/web/lists/getbytitle('ISR%20Approvers')/Items?$select=Title&$filter=Title%20eq%20%27General%27
    then Build{...} Dictionary (Output to Variable:requestHeaders)
    then Call [%Variable:webServiceUrl%] HTTP web service with request (ResponseContent to Variable:responseContent |ResponseHeaders to responseHeaders | ResponseStatusCode to Variable:responseCode)
    The RequestHeader is set to the requestHeaders variable though the web service call properties
    then Log Variable:responseCode to the workflow history list
    After manually running the workflow in SharePoint on a list item in the ISR Approvers list it Logs "Unauthorized" in the Workflow History Log. It does this with every SharePoint REST web service call that I have tried through the workflow.
    It doesn't have anything to do with the Workflow Manger being installed on the same machine as the SharePoint WFE does it?
    Thank You for any insight

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you had 401 Unauthorized Error when calling a SharePoint REST web service from SharePoint 2013 Workflow.
    Please make sure you use the ‘Call HTTP Web Service’ correctly.
    You can enter the URL into the brower to check whether it is correctly.
    You need to
    create the Request header requestHeaders
    using a Dictionary:
    Accept : application/json;odata=verbose
    Content-Type : application/json;odata=verbose
    To associate the
    requestHeaders variable, select the Call action
    property, set the RequestHeaders property to
    requestHeaders.

    In addtion, you need to make sure you install the workflow manager correctly.

  • Web services with Jdeveloper using weblogic as server

    Hi,
    I try to test creating PL/SQL web services by using a connection hosted by weblogic server instead of OC4J. The problem is what I try to publish a package of the database in the second stage when it asks for the connection to use, in the list I don't found the connection I create to weblogic . It presents as choice only connections used the server OC4J.
    I do not Know if it is possible to publish a package as web service by using weblogic server connection, and how to do it.
    can anyone help me please .
    Nawal

    Web services can only be published to BEA if you install Apache SOAP on BEA and use the Apache SOAP option of JDeveloper. The J2EE Web Services implementation framework is specific to Oracle9iAS.
    The PL/SQL Web Services server implementation is based on the J2EE Web Services option and as a result is not really portable to BEA.
    To publish a PL/SQL Web service on BEA with JDeveloper you would have to write the Java wrapper code to invoke the stored procedure using standard JDBC and then publish that Java class as a Web service using Apache SOAP. Then if you had Apache SOAP installed on BEA you would be set.
    Portability of Web services implementations is a big feature coming with JAX-RPC - currently what most vendors have is interoperability between implementations because of things like SOAPBuilders and WS-I. When JAX-RPC becomes part of J2EE 1.4 roughly in June and vendors start putting out implementations on it you should get closer to portability.
    In the meantime, the easiest way to get portability is to use the same SOAP server on both servers - Apache SOAP is a good example.
    Hope this helps.

  • Debugging a Web service with JDeveloper 902

    JDeveloper (902) is the major development tool in my project, and till now we used RMI for remote function calls. We are considering to use SAOP instead.
    I've installed JWSDP and I manage to run SOAP based Web service with Tomcat.
    However, after deploying a Web service, even its screen output is hidden.
    My problem is how to debug a Web service with JDeveloper?

    When I searched in google I came across solutions like "The error is caused by missing SYS.SQLJUTL definition in XE. " But my database is not XE and one more thing I noticed is there is no start_oc4j.bat file in the JDeveloper home.
    I would appreciate if anybody can throw some light on the issue.

  • HTTP error when trying to access RESTful web service from application

    Hi,
    We are getting the following error when trying to access a RESTful web service coming from Apex workspace 4.2.1 and Apex listener 2.1:
    ORA-29273: HTTP request failed ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1130 ORA-29024: Certificate validation failure
    In the Debug report, besides the above I also see:
    error_backtrace: ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1130 ORA-06512: at "APEX_040200.WWV_FLOW_WEB_SERVICES", line 543 ORA-06512: at "APEX_040200.WWV_FLOW_WEB_SERVICES", line 1164 ORA-06512: at "APEX_040200.WWV_FLOW_PROCESS", line 396
    We get that error whether we use https or http in the URI pointing to the web service. When I test the Web Service in Workspace RESTful service GUI, I get the data back. When I go build an application with a report calling the RESTful Web Service I get that error. Both the Application and the Workspace RESTful services are on the same Apex environment and even the same workspace.
    What is odd is that I can actually put the URL of the web service into a browser and I get the data: (using the demo hr data in sample RESTful services.)
    IN browser-- https://weblogic-dev.edu/apex/ace/hr/empinfo/
    yields:

    Any ideas on what would be causing the Error above in our application?
    Thanks,

    In reviewing the above error, I think we are realizing that we have to have the Weblogic layer SSL cert (actually the CERT from our BigIP load balancer which also does our SSL termination) imported into the Oracle server wallet where Apex is installed. Am I correct?
    PM

    We resolved our problem. The Apex Administrative Guide made us realize that we had to set up Wallet path in the Instance. This required working with DBAs to follow the Advanced networking guide to get the wallet set up on our server. We then added that path to the Instance configuration. (Manager Instance --> Instance settings). We ran into another other issue related to our implementation of CAS but were able to resolve that, and 'voila' were able to get the sample RESTful service consumed by our application!!
    Now to the task of figuring out how to get Basic Auth working between client application and RESTful web service. If anyone has that working, let us know!!
    It would be helpful if in the documentation of the Apex 2.x listener or Apex install/configuration there was clear reference to the above steps required for HTTPS access to RESTful web services.

    Guys,
    You are asking about an issue that was a pain in the nick for me few months ago. The problem is that you won't find mych help here as I figured out that Apex geeks here either did not do much webservices or ended up hating it as i do :) . This is an error that can be due many different reason, let me ask you this:
    1- Does your the other system you are trying to call through webservices using HTTPS ?
    2- If yes, did you create a valid oracle wallet for that https connection ?
    3- Make sure you are using the correct URL ( am sure you do, just double check )
    4- If using a proxy, then you have to define that in the web service reference creation page
    provide more info and I hope I can help you with this,
    Sam
    Please reward good answers by marking them correct or helpful!

  • Error when publishing a PL/SQL package as a Webservice

    Hi all,
    I am using the JDeveloper (10.1.3.1.0) to publish a PL/SQL package as a Webservice, and I am having some troubles on the generation process.
    The problem that I am facing is on the generated code for the database side, where some methods have a “$GET_” at the end of its name.
    This “$GET_” is handled by the database as a special word, and the package can’t be compiled.
    If the ‘$’ character is removed from all the methods, the package can be compiled and the Webservice works fine.
    What’s wrong? Is there a bug on the generation process of the JDeveloper?
    Regards,
    Rui Torres

    OK, This is the PL/SQL package:

  • Error when using byte array in web service model interface

    Hello everybody,
    I'm using a web service model in my web dynpro application. The web service requires a byte array as import parameter.
    When starting the web dynpro application the following error occurs:
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDTypeNotFoundException: type java:byte not found
    at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.datatypes.core.DataTypeBroker.getDataType(DataTypeBroker.java:216)
    I'm using byte arrays several times in my application --> no problem. So why does the error say "byte not found" when using the web service?
    Thanks for your help!
    regards
    Christian

    Hi,
    maybe this is the problem. The type is byte and not binary.
    But I have the same problem as mentioned in the other thread: I can't change the type.
    The type in the WSDL of my web service is "base64binary". Is there maybe a possibility to import a jar-file for this type?

  • Timestamp Error when calling Encrypt and Signed Web Service

    Hello,
    I maked one Web Service in the Oracle Service Bus 10gR3 that supports Encryption and Sign, basically inserting (manually) this on WSDL Contract:
    This two namespaces:
    xmlns:wsu="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd"
    xmlns:wsp="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/09/policy"
    This Declarations:
    <wsp:UsingPolicy Required="true"/>
    <input>
    <wsp:Policy>
    <wsp:PolicyReference URI="policy:Encrypt.xml"/>
    </wsp:Policy>
    <soap:body use="literal" />
    </input>
    <wsp:Policy>
    <wsp:PolicyReference URI="policy:Sign.xml"/>
    </wsp:Policy>
    The above declarations was inserted in the correct points inside the WSDL Contract and the Web Service is working correctly.
    The Problem is related to Sign.xml declaration, when i insert this declaration:
    <wsp:Policy>
    <wsp:PolicyReference URI="policy:Sign.xml"/>
    </wsp:Policy>
    Then, the Web Service shows an error. Following the Request and Resonse (That shows the error):
