Error when trying to edit page

I get the following error when trying to edit an asp page
"The operation could not be performed because a problem
occurred while attempting to connect to the server. Please check
your internet connection and try again. For more details, please
visit the Incontext Editing Support Center."
If I try and duplicate the page I get:
"The page you are trying to edit or duplicate was loaded with
and error from the server.
Solution: Contact your web developer to correct the problem.
For more details, please visit the Incontext Editing Support
Center."

I can't edit this file and get the errors I put in my first post in
this thread when I try and do so. I get the same errors with any
ASP file I try and edit.
I can however edit this simple html file successfully:

Error when trying to see pages in webcenter app with adf security activated

I have this problem
I developed a WebCenter Application that uses ADF Security with form authentication. This App has
two JSPX the first one is the login page and the second one is the page where i manage runtime created pages
using the CREATE PAGE task flow and a page tree iterator to see my created pages.
when i deploy de application on the weblogic server i am able to login successfully and create as many pages as
i want and also see them using the link generated. the problem is that when a delete the application from the weblogic
server, i mean the deployed application, then redeploy the same application on the server i can login again and
see the pages i created before but when i try to reach them i get this error showed in my internet browser:

Java error when trying to edit file - access denied

We have been running Vibe 3.0 for a couple years with no issues but suddenly users have begun to get java errors when trying to edit a file from Vibe. When a file entry is opened and the "Edit this file" link is clicked, a dialog pops up that says :
Error from command:
java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.io.FilePermission <<ALL FILES>> execute)
Has anyone else seen this? Could it be related to some windows security update perhaps? Any ideas how to resolve would be appreciated. This happens with regular users as well as admin.
Vibe is running on SLES 10 with mysql. We are using IIS Windows Authentication.

Error Message received when trying to edit page

I have received this following message when trying to edit a site page in SharePoint or in SharePoint designer. I haven't ever seen this error message before and am not really sure what the issue is. I am not the owner of this
particular site but merely an owner of a specific page on this site so I am limited in my ability to troubleshoot but the actual owner is stuck on what the potential issue is and how to resolve this. I manage and own three seperate sites myself and have never

We need more information of the issue page. As suggested by Mokhtar, you could check if the issue is related to permission.
The issue might also occurs to the page which is developed based Ajax registration. Then it might be caused by AAM configuration.

& not able to edit ,as if 15 mins up but it had been
well under 4-5 mins, every retry same results.
Has not happened today , but this only my 4th post.

Resource not found or internal server error when trying to edit location

Hi all,
ACS is appliance and version 5.2.0.26.7
The problem is after creating location under all locations.
When trying to click on the location name to edit location profile, there is an error page that shows
"ACS:Resource not found or internal server error"
But if click on the radio button and press the edit button at the bottom of page.
There is no problem.
Any on has the same problem?

Content Query Web Part gives error when trying to edit

Hello there,
When I put the page in edit mode and try to edit the content query web part I get an unexpeced error. When searching the correlation ID from the error message I see this message a lot:

ConsoleUtilies.GetContextualControlMode had no currentPage so the current SPWebPartManager mode cannot be retrieved.
The error message says something about Publishing and I had an Publishing issue before the CQWB issue happened.
The thing is that the CQWB is dependent on the Publishing feature. The publishing feature when turned on (as site collection feature) creates Content types. One of these content types was removed because when I tried to create a new publishing site
I got an error about a missing content type.
I deactivated the site collection publishing feature (after deactivating it on all sites where it was activated) and then activated it again so it reacreates the content types. This was working, since now I can create Publishing sites again.
The problem is that I can not edit the CQWB anymore. But it is still showing the query in correct lay-out. Also when I add a new CQWB I have the same issue. I can add it, but not edit.
I also made a new test site collection and here everything works fine. I tried to copy the .webpart from the test to the problem-sitecollection, but the webpart is just not editable on my broken site collection.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Im assuming it has something to do with the publishing issue I had....

I disabled all publishing features on all subsites
Then I disabled the site collection publishing feature
Then I enabled the site collection publishing feature again
I enabled publishing feature on the subsites where I want to use the content query web part and also on the subsites where the query is coming from
So: Yes, the publishing feature is enabled

Editing Error when trying to edit in Photoshop Elements

Hello all,
I received a strange error message when I tried to edit a photo in Photoshop Elements from Aperture. The message is as follows:
*"Editing Error*
*This image cannot be rendered for editing because Aperture does not support the image format."*
I've never received this message before and I find it strange that Aperture gives you Tiff and PSD with both regular and 16bit options only to tell you later that it doesn't support that format.
Any ideas why this might be happening?
I'm currently running 10.6, Aperture 2.1.4, and PE 6.0

Error when trying to edit in external editor in Lightroom 4

Hi all, need help please with Lightroom 4.
I have an external photo editor set up so when I choose "edit in" it goes to that editor, not photoshop. I am getting the following error "Unexpected error performing command: bad argument #1 to 'lower' (string expected, got nil)".
I have tried repairing and reinstalling the program to no avail. I have tried setting up a different program for the external editor, same problem.
This is working as it should in Lightroom 3.6.

Error when trying to edit layout

Hi all,
I'm using Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1. I have a report with a standard layout - created via the layout wizard. The report is working fine but when i tried to edit the layout I receive the following error:
failed to load:io/designer/inline-preview-crosstab
I tried it with Google Chrome and IE8.
Any ideas?

Try the Following procedure:
1) Login to your weglogic server , under GCDomain -> Services-> Data sources-> one of a connection pool is not been able to allocate resources.
2) Under Connection Pool tab for that particular pool type increase the Maximum Capacity to +10-15% ,reason been your report is heavily loaded and save it.
3) After this under control tab it will show the respective server with overloaded issue (most likely BIP) perform -> Shutdown-> Clear Statement Cache -> Start
And then after this go the data source associated with this report , click on the xml and save the data for engine...
Run the report -> edit layout/report .

I upgrade Webdb2.2 to Portal 30982 When I edit the menu and go to 'Menu Customization Form Text' I get:

Server communications error when trying to edit a content query

Hi.
I get an error when I try to edit a content query for a placeholder in Workshop. I open a placeholder (in data->placeholders) and select "content search" in the content query box. The "Content Search" box pops up but I get an error requester ("Server Communications Error") saying "Content properties cannot be retrieved from the server".
I've ensured that the server is running and I've checked the server settings, but I haven't been able to find anything that would explain this error.
Any suggestions?

From Workshop, in the Application tab, right-click on
wps-toolSupport.war under Modules, and select Set Context Path. Enter
${appname}Tool, ${appname} is the name of you application. Workshop
should use that context-root from then on, and then the placeholder
editor should be able to find the WebService it needs.

Error when trying to Edit Servcie Contract :"Document is being distributed"

Hi,
I am trying to edit Service Contract from WEB UI. But, when ever I say edit, it is giving error saying
"Document is being distributed. Changes are not possible".
Can you please let me know, why such error comes..and how to rectify that.

I checked SMQ1 and SMQ2. But, no ques found for that Order.

I got the pl/sql error.
PL/SQL ERROR 0 at line 2, column 1 statement ignored.
Please provide your inputs at the earliest.

"Value cannot be null" error when trying to edit or create Maintenance Plan in SQL Server 2008

I have SQL Server 2008 installed on Windows Server 2008 64bit, every time I try to open or create a new Maintenance Plan I receive the error:
Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: component (System.Design)

And in the Design view screen
"Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio is unable to load this document: Could not load type 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.runtime.Wrapper.IDTSPackageSigning100' from assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSRunTimeWrap, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral'.
I have searched for a possible solution and have tried some suggestions of registering the msxml6.dll but and have installed VS2008 SP1 but I'm not in a position where I can do a full reinstall of SQL Server right now. Any help is appreciated. My SQL server

I digged a little deeper and figured out it was a missing directory/file in %TEMP%. Seems some CleaningTool removes all files/directories in %Temp% and after that SSMS was not working any longer. The missing file is actually not needed, but the
missing directory causes the "Value cannot be null" error.
My missing file name was:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\2\6vvdaozf.tmp
But the file name changes on every startup.
So my missing directory name was:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\2
After creating a empty directory with the name "2" in %TEMP% all went back to work fine for me.
I'm not sure the directory name is every time the same, but you can discover your missing file with the process monitor from Sysinternal Tools and filters to "Process Name is ssms.exe" and "Path contains AppData\Local\Temp"

Thank you!! When I run %temp% it takes me to "C:\Users\Admin ...~\AppData\Local\Temp\some random number". At first the random number was 3, after I logged off and back on it was 2. My temp variable in enviromental variables is correct. I looked on another machine
running SQL2008 and temp is correct there. If I try to rename the numbered folder SSMS stops working. Any idea?
