Error when using GetOracleString of reader

Oracle 10.2.0.1
Windows xp
VS Studio 2005
My procedure is running in sqlplus in which i have used rpad function to get fixed column width output something like :
select rpad(col1,20,' ') item from table_1
Now, when i says :
Dim myReader As System.Data.OracleClient.OracleDataReader
myReader = myCMD.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior.CloseConnection)
ListBox1.DataTextField = myReader.GetOracleString(0)
It is error "No data exists for the row or column." The calling procedure is returning only one column named "item".
But if i says :
ListBox1.DataTextField = "ITEM".ToString
Its working fine. But, I need the as its working in sqlplus (the effect of Rpad function). In dotnet when i uses with listbox datatextfield; it removes the effects of rpad function.
Please help me how to do this.

Thanks for your reply.
The solution is set the with property from ListBox control.Is there typo in "with" word ? Is it width property?
I tried to increase the width property... but no use.
Even, i have tried with following code, but no use :
While myReader.Read()
Dim str As System.Data.OracleClient.OracleString
str = myReader.GetOracleString(0).ToString
ListBox1.Items.Add(str)
End While
I think ListBox1.DataTextFormatString should work here; but what should be that format string... i am not getting it.
