Error while aborting Mediator Instance

Hi
I am gettign below error while trying to abort a Mediator instance. I am using resequencer and trying to abort stucked instance.
Error during Instance (3912039) Abort : java.rmi.RemoteException: EJB Exception: ; nested exception is: java.lang.RuntimeException: oracle.tip.mediator.infra.exception.MediatorException: ORAMED-01364:[Cannot Unlock Group] Group cannot be unlocked as it is not in error state "3kbEKN06ZRSX+kG7iEenYMuLBShyQ09wEFyb_zpmWXw=".Possible Fix:Group cannot be unlocked as it is not in error state
Any suggestion on how to clean stucked instance. I have tried all JAVA API for the same and not able to abort this from EM console too.

i believe that oracle 8i are no longer supported by SAP.
By default, SAP R/3 4.7 EE should come with Oracle 9i.
Check your installer again.

By default, SAP R/3 4.7 EE should come with Oracle 9i.
Check your installer again.

Getting errors while starting ASM instance in 11gR2

While starting ASM instance, i'm getting the following errors.

Error while install DB instance using SAPinst

I have the following error while installing High Availability Database instance
with option system copy-> restore from offline backup.
We are at env. Window server 2003, MS SQL serevr 2005 SP 3.

Configuring Listeners error while converting single instance db to RAC +ASM

Every time when I refresh the db with production db and try to convert to cluster db using rconfig I get this error.
Verified xml file and every thing is correct in it.

I tried commenting local_listener and also by setting local_listener='' but still no luck. It failed with same error while configuring listerners.
I would like to know what exatly it(configuring listeners) is trying to do. Please advice.
Note: I am not using a shared oracle home, each node in the cluster has its own oracle installation residing on local disk. Is a shared oracle home a pre-requisite for using rconfig?

Error while configuring second instance of OIF

Hi,
i am installing OIF in dev environment in clusterred mode. I was able to create one instance successfully, but whille creating second i am getting error.

Hi Team,
I am in the installation phase of SAP PI with MAXDB as back end.In the
phase "create database instance" i am facing the following issue
"An error occurred while processing option SAP EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver
PI/Mobile/Banking 7.1 > MaxDB > SAP Systems > Process Integration >
Standard System > Standard System( Last error reported by the step:
Error during execution of command identifier 'ACTIVATE'"
Can you help me in resolving this issue at the earliest.Also i have attached

ORA - 01034 : ORACLE NOT AVAILABLE Error while creating new instance.

I was trying to create new instance in unix environment. I have configured all my shell scripts to run and install but while performing the install I get the
following error message and fails.
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
I have previously installed an instance using same scripts but fails this time when I copy the scripts and modify them in new folder. Pointed out the path in the scripts correctly.
I am a junior DBA and I would appriciate your help.

hi all
i'm facing a problem and i really need hellp, while trying to start SAP the central instance failed and this is the start log
Instance Service on host hostname started
Cannot create Lock File. ("sapstart.sem" Read-only file system)
(13906) Exiting with Return-Code -103. (Access permission denied)
Startup of Instance failed
i checked out the permission of this file and it's directory which was correct as follows:

the "work" directory contains the file which the error logs stated ,when i try to create a file under the "work" directory it says :
touch: cannot touch `new_file': Read-only file system
i unmounted and re-mounted again and tried to create a file and i succeeded ; tried to start SAP again but it failed giving same error again and i failed to write under the "work" directory again

Ensure that all of the systems processes have stopped.
If necessary, run the files kill.sap and shutdown.sap in the SAP System
Working-Directory.
( /usr/sap/<system-name>/<unit name>/work ).
Ensure that all IPC objects (shared mem, semaphores, ...) have been
deleted. ( showipc <system-no) bzw. cleanipc <system-no> )
What OS version do you have is it Linux?

Hi ,
Not able to start ERS instance .Seems some permission issue has been occour.
while starting instance giving error

Please check
Is sapstartsrv process running with the profile?
If yes kindly do the clean shutdown and try to start the system.
Check for the permision to sapstream files in /tmp.
srwxrwxrwx 1 <sid>adm sapsys 0 Aug 26 2012 .sapstreamXXXXX
you can do the chmod 777 <specific file>.

DTS_E_CANNOTACQUIRECONNECTIONFROMCONNECTIONMANAGER Error while running multiple instances of SSIS through batch files.

I have an SSIS package which loads data from an Excel file into a SQL Database. This SSIS package is triggered by a batch file.
As part of a load test, I have created 20 batch files that run the same package for a different Excel file.
To have these batch files run together, I have created 2 master batch files, one to run them sequentially (using CALL) and the to run them parallely (using START). I do have any issues in both of them.
But when I try to run 5 instances of the same batch file run concurrently (using START XYZ.bat 5 times) only 1 succeeds. CALL XYZ.bat 5 times has no issues.
Is it because during START, the Excel file is opened by 1 batch file and unavailable to the other 4 instances? If yes, then why doesn't SSIS throw an error when I run the package through BIDS keeping the Excel file opened? Is there something I can do to
overcome a FAILURE?

Yes, it seems that since you open the same file from multiple processes the error occurs due to the sharing violation.
I guess you will get the error opening several Excel files from BIDS trying to read / write to it if you have two BIDS so it is consistent. Excel disallows multiple access paths by its design.

By seeing the logs java instalnce is not able to connect with message server.
Please let us know know where the message server is installed and system setup.
also share the dev_dispatcher and dev_server0 logs
it may have some more information.
