Error while accessing an external application...

Hi,
I am trying to configure a portal application by using SSO to get access to a deployed J2ee application. I have created the iView and mapped the user to the J2EE application. The Iview is working fine and i got the main page of the application.
But i have found a problem here.
I am using a javascript menu to invoke different pages in the j2ee application from the main page. When i invoke a menu item, I am getting a javascript error as "Access Denied" and the action gets cancelled...
Can you please share your knowledge on the possiblities of this error?
Is it because the application is working under porta frame work scope? If so how can i change it?
Best regards,
Sudheesh

Sounds like an issue that has to do with JavaScript Origin policy. You'll have to use Domain Relaxing for this. Read all about it here:

  • ERRORS WHILE ACCESSING A WEB APPLICATION BASED ON BIBEANS BIB-14657

My goal was to build a web application based on BIBeans. I developed it in JDeveloper 10g. It was tested on my own computer in the JDeveloper environment
(Windows XP, PIII 866MHz, RAM 512MB) as well as on my local server (Windows 2000, PIII 1GHz, RAM 1GB) in the JDeveloper and OAS10g environment. Everything worked fine. When I deployed the application on my (let's call it) production server (Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition Service Pack 1, 2 x Dual Xenon 3.2GHz, 64-bit, RAM 4GB, L2 1MB) on OAS10g, while accesing the application via
internet explorer (MS IE, Mozilla Firefox) I got errors (launching the application in JDeveloper failed even sooner as OC4J (embedded) was no able to
    start).
I would like to mark that on every machine I uset the same version of JDeveloper and the same version of OAS10g.
Other applications deployed on the OAS10g on the production server operate.
Unfortunately in application and OAS10g logs there is nothing interesting.
While deploying I followed instructions from:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/bib/htdocs/904/tech_notes/oc4j/new_oc4j_unix.html
I get it in my internet explorer:

I would like to place here a piece of trace that I got after I had run a regular java application based on BIBeans on my production computer. It may be helpful.

I used the same version of BIBeans (bibeans1012.zip - 25 833 300 Bytes) to create BIBeans Catalog in the database as well as to upgrade my JDeveloper where I build my WAR applications. In adition to this, as I mentioned before, my application (the same WAR file, the same database) works fine when deployed on diffrent computer. Besides there is such a difference that my database where is my BIBeans catalog installed resides on the same computer (production machine) where the OAS10g (this one which generates the error BIB-14657). The database and the OAS10g has different ORACLE_HOME.

Can you please log a TAR with Oracle Support using Metalink to resolve this issue. They can help you collect all the log and trace files to determine the why this problem is occuring.

Please do reply..Its urgent from my project deliverable point of view.
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards.

It is not an Oracle error/problem. The error message is quite specific ito the actual root cause of the problem:
    KUP-04001: error opening file \\oraaps\Exceldata\mysheet.csv
KUP-04017: OS message: The data is invalid.
These are operating system errors. The operating system cannot access/open/read the specific UNC and/or file.
Fix it at o/s level and it will work when Oracle needs to make that o/s call.

  • Error  while accessing the application server file

    Hello,
When I try to load the data from CSV file to PSA , I am getting following error message
"Error  while accessing the application server file"
    "Errors in source system"
I gave the right file path
I am not sure about this error message.
    Thanks,

    Hi ram,
if you have more than one application server running in your BI system (see at transaction SM51) be aware that your infopackage will be executed on the right one. Each application server has its own file system and your job need to run on the server your file is stored on.
Also check if the os user of the SAP system itself (<sid>adm on Unix) has rights to read that file.
    Bye
    Frank

  • Buffer Table not up to date error while accessing Catalogs

    Hello,
I am getting Buffer table not up-to-date error while accessing ARIBA Procurement Catalogs.
Initially, my Test system was pointing to Production Catalogs but now, when I changed the settings in "Define External Web Services" and pointed it to DEV Catalogs, it is failing with error: "Buffer Table not up-to-Date"
Refreshed the Buffer already but still error not fixed.
We already have the similar settings in other systems and there the connections are working fine
    Please advise
    Regards
    Manish Agrawal

    Hi Manish,
Could you please check the below notes and implement the same since I had the same issue upon punching out from the catalog to SRM system.
2041631 - Simplified Shopping Cart:Dump on Check Out From Catalog
2086844 - Dump "Buffer table not up-to-date" on Check Out from Catalog
In addition to the above, please maintain the portal information in the path as shown in the below screen shot
Kindly check and let me know on how it goes.
    Best Regards,

  • Error while accessing oracle link

    Dear Gurus,
I am facing following error while accessing oracle ODBC Link.
I cross varify ODBC connection , its working fine ,
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
    SQLSTATE: IM002
    SQL System code: 0
    Please suggest.

    Qureshi,
An ODBC connection is not required for Oracle or IBM DB2 because Application Server has internal connections to these databases through Oracle (OCI) or DB2 (CLI).
When you create a new Link ID, you select Oracle (OCI) as the connection type.
In the Link ID properties box specify the additional information needed to connect to the database server. The username and password must be the owner of the CPMS_ tables.
You can find further documentation in the guide Configuration Help Strategy Management 7.5 in Section 3.1.5 Creating a Link ID for Certain Implementations.
This is available on Service Marketplace in Installation Guides for Strategy Management 7.5
    Regards,
    Bob
