Error while creating creating a prepared statement under WL 6.1

Hi all,
can you help please?
We wrere using weblogic 6.0 with transactions and it worked fine.
As we switched to weblogic 6.1 sometimes we get the following exception when creating
a prepared statemnent (first statement after accessing the db connection):
ERROR: ejbFindByCcProcessorIdActive(1): com.wirecard.io.db.util.DbConnectionException:
java.sql.SQLException: XA error: XAER_RMERR : A resource manager error has occured

The driver being used by your weblogic is too old and incompatible with the DBMS. Upgrade the driver.

You can create the database with WE8DEC character set
and to use the WE8ISO8859P9 on the client or even on Linux.
The NLS_LANG setting doesn't effect the database, but the
interface with the database. The same setting can be used in de
windows 95/98/NT registry.

This is a generic error message which does not have any information about the error which has occurred.
Do you see any error messages in the SOAP client?

Error while explicit creating relation object

Hello all ...
i am using forms6i i.e. 'Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.8.0 (Production)'
on Windows NT.
it is not such a big problem, but ofcource affecting work.
i am modifying a form that has a master block and five child blocks,
while i am trying to create another child block with implicit relation,
it creates block but wizard does not goes to next screen i.e to choose
canvas etc., rather it creates only block and comes to object navigator,
and does not create any relation and hence no associated triggers.
even if i try to create a relation explicitly, it gives error:
'Error while parsing join condition.'
while i am sure the join condition is allright.
when i tried to create a new form with exactly these blocks, it works
fine. the situation is only arising when modifing a form.
if anyone can suggest a solution, i'll be thankful.

Creating a dynamic prepared statement

the problem:
i have a range of paratmeters coming in from a form and need to be able to create a dynamic query string to go into a prepared statement object.
the problem i have is there are 2 fields year range and year.
if year range is none i need to create the query string as such :
where the value of year can be serached on exactly
str.append("VOLUME_YEAR = ? ");the probelm is if the year range is 5 or year range is 10 i dont know how to maipulate the query string to be able to set the string such that i can then place the year value in the place holder in preparedStatement.setInt(1, year)
how can i create the intial query string ie.- what are the possible things that i can do. - i'm thinking of things like putting some type of between or such type query statement - but not at all sure how the syntax would go - ie. how would i use the year value and how would i create this dynamic part of the query string so that the JDBC regonises it?

Hyperion Planning migration error while refreshing/creating Essbase cube

Hi,
I'm migrating a Hyperion Planning application (11.1.1.4) to a complete other environment (due to the split of the companies). I have read most post on otn, but unfortunately nothing that helped me to solve the issue, yet... I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance!
I have executed the following steps:
1. Create a new Oracle database
2. Create a datasource to the Oracle database and to Essbase (both tested succesfully)
3. Create a fresh planning application (I have used a native Admin account and not the original owner)
4. Go into the database tables for the planning app and look at table HSP_USERS, store the SID value against user 50001
5. Go into the database planning system tables and HSPSYS_APPLICATION, clear out the version field for the application you have created - I did not do this since I could not delete this value. null is not accepted.
6. Stop Planning
7. Restore the planning application database over the one created in the first step (I had to drop the existing tables first)
8. Go into the HSP_USERS table and update the SID for user id 50001
9. Start planning
10. Log on to planning and I did see the webforms, etc as expected.
11. Now, when I try to refresh the database, I receive an error:
Cube refresh/create in progress
Status failed
Step 4 Adding dimensions
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: getAttributeType
Does anyone has an idea? Hope someone can help me since the deadline is getting closer and closer.

Thanks for your reply.
I have exactly done what you have described. I droped the schema and recreated it with an impdp to import.
But, in the meantime I have been investigating the dimensions and there's indeed something very wrong. Some dimensions have been mixed up. In the 'old' environment I have 10 stored dimensions and 4 attribute dimensions (as well as in EAS as in Planning, offcourse as you expect). In the 'new' environment, two stored dimensions have been mixed up with two attribute dimensions.... How is that possible?
I have never seen that. Could this be caused by the reason that we use a different version of Oracle (11G release 2 vs 10G (10.2.0.4))? Or went something wrong with exporting the schema...? Can you tell me what I can do to investigate this?

After applying patchset on basic version(10201) i am installing ultra search from basic version (as patchset doesnt have companion dir) on upgraded version(10204) causing this issue?
it was resolved by uninstalling DB, and again installing from basic version (10201) then went to companion CD, installed ultrasearch on same oracle_home. it got installed without any issue.
then upgraded to 10204. then created DB, and enabled ultrasearch by DBCA.
let me know in case of more details required.

Db2 - bea jdbc type 4 driver error - cursor not in a prepared state

I am getting this error from BEA DB2 Driver in weblogic console.
java.sql.SQLException: [BEA][DB2 JDBC Driver][DB2]CURSOR C02 NOT IN A
PREPARED STATE
This problem occurs frequently almost everyday.
When this error happens we clear the statement cache by logging in to the weblogic console (which clears the cache of prepared and callable statements maintained for each connection in the connection pool), and will be able to proceed till the error comes up again!
Has anyone come across this type of error?

We have seen that error as well. When using entity beans, we could do some creates, but then we would get the Cursor error. It would happen sporadically.
IBM now has better Type 4 drivers with version 8.2, we are having better luck with them then with the BEA drivers.

Error while dropping/creating new queue table

Hi,
I am trying to modify an existing AQ setup. In the process, I had to remove a queue and redirect all its subscriptions to another queue.
I get an oracle "sequence does not exist" while trying to drop the queue table. The sequence of operations that I am carrying out is:
disable propagation schedule
unschedule propagation
stop queue
drop queue
drop queue table
The error occurs when the drop statement is executed.
I tried restoring the existing configuration, but got the same error message while trying to add a subscription.
Could you help me with this problem? What am I missing here?

In what version of Oracle?
I see a couple of problems assuming you are working with a currently supported version:
1. Never grant CONNECT to anyone: Ever. Grant CREATE SESSION.
2. GRANT CREATE TABLE to AQ;
Go to Morgan's Library at www.psoug.org and look at AQ Demo 1. You should have no problem cutting and pasting your way to where you are trying to go.

Error while undeploying/creating OC4J instance

OALL8 is in an inconsistent state.. OALL8 is in an inconsistent state.
And following while creating a new OC4J instance:

According to google the OALL8 has something to do with the JDBC driver.

Are you doing this using the EM GUI? Or using dcmctl?
Either way, I'd try to remove the lk file that you had (no idea why that file was around - did you do multiple installs on the same box?)
and then retry the operation.

As the Error shows :java.sql.SQLException: Attempt to set a parameter name that does not occur in the SQL: 1
it means somewhere in your query u r setting a parameter value which is nat there.
check all your code for update and create where u r trying to set parameter(may be in whereclause).

I have a Java file in the UNIX box and i am trying to put them in the Data base and call them through the PLSQL Package.
These Java files were using for OA Framework, Now i have to use these files through PLSQL.
1) In order to call java files in through PLSQL, first we need to create Java soruce.(CREATE OR REPLACE AND RESOLVE JAVA SOURCE NAMED...
..... java class)
2) Once this is compiled, then we can able to access through PLSQL Package. Is this correct.

But i am using

import oracle.apps.jtf.util.ErrorStackUtil;
import oracle.apps.jtf.util.FndConstant;
Can anyone please let me know why this error is comming up.

You seem to be new to java and three tier archietecture, probably from sql background. First understand the difference between an application server and database server.Java files reside in application server and not database server.
In order to load OAF java files to server you need to put the files at appropriate location under JAVA_TOP and compile them using javac command to generate class files. Or else you can directly put the class files but it will give compile time errors if you don't have all dependencies locally.
You need to upload UI xml files in MDS repository in db server and other xml files under appropriate directory structure under JAVA_TOP.
