Error while running JClient in Oracle JDeveloper 10g (Windows XP)
Hi,
I am a new user to JDeveloper. I was trying to build the application using the tutorial by Oracle at:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_as_1012/j2ee/develop/client/jclient/lesson_jclient.htm
But when I tried running the MainForm.java, it is giving an error:
(oracle.jbo.JboException) JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.NullPointerException, msg=null
Can anyone help me solving this.... Also where can I find the materials to create an application using BC4J and JClient. Any good books to refer ???

Yeah, I am able to run all the Module from the Model. The error is coming when I am trying to run the View. Either running directly from view or individual Java file, in both cases getting the same error:

There are certain serlvet and filter dependencies that are required to be commented out in the web.xml to be able to run it. Internal error while running forms in oracle application server 10 G
I am getting following error while running form in browser for oracle application server 10 G
"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

where to find the error log and how to rectify it.
Arunand at what time does the error occur? Upon starting the form? When you browse data? When you execute a query?
Also: do you use Bean Areas in your form? How do you initialise them?
Have you compiled the form against the same version of database and PL/SQL libraries as the ones you use in the runtime environment? Have you compiled the form in Form Builder? If so, try opening the form, hit Ctrl-Shift-K twice (!), then Ctrl-S, and only then Ctrl-T.
Do you start the form from another form? If so, has this calling form been compiled against the same environment? -

Hello All,
I am running the pages from my Jdeveloper but it is throwing some exception which is related to cache on the local server.Kindly help me out as i am not able to run even old pages which were running earlier.Kindly what changes on the server has affected this.

I am using Oracle 7.3.4 running on HP-Unix. While running a procedure, I am getting the following error.

Please suggest what could be the problem. Incidentally, the same procedure is running on another installation of Oracle 7.3.4. I am unable to find out what could be the difference between the 2 Oracle instances that is causing this problem.

Generally, these types of errors suggest contacting Oracle support to resolve the issue, but with the Oracle version you are using being already desupported, it would be an issue.

When we tried to invoke a web service from JDeveloper version 10.1.3.4.0.4270, we got deserialization error.Here are the steps that we did to invoke the web service.
1. Using WSDL URL, downloaded WSDL file and associated XSD files into local machine using wsa.jar utility.
2. Using JDeveloper, created web service proxy project by referring the local WSDL file.Proxy got generated successfully.
3. Secured the proxy using "secure proxy" option.

We think that the exact cause for the problem is as follows.
1. If we check the XSD file corresponds to response object, for one of the element, the type is decimal
<xsd:element minOccurs="0" name="ParentValueSetId" nillable="true" type="xsd:decimal"/>
2. In the SOAP response, this element is empty so during deserialization, the numer format exception occurred in LiteralSimpleTypeSerializer class.
